the new Barbie doll that is blind.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Also, Ford's coming out with this thing that you can
snitch on other drivers.
Speaker 5 (00:26):
I don't think it's a good idea. We'll see you here.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Why it's fair to say our rollers are sitting fire
to the Olympic Medals table at the moments, ste up.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
The weekend. What happened last night?
Speaker 6 (00:50):
It's benevolent, great breadent pen in you Zeland, Bron's Middle,
Jackie Gallup, Phoebe Sporeswai and Kerry Williams have done the business.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I love it when they actually give the names. It's
not enough to just say the Women's fourth.
Speaker 7 (01:09):
You need to.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Actually say who are these people? And a bust of
the gut and got us somebody else that was the bronze,
then there was silver.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
Can they run down the us like think it's going
to be just beyond them. Gold goes to us silver
New Zealand.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
I'm going to give you their names now, a logan Ulrich,
Ollie McClain, Tom Murray and Matt McDonald and the silver
and then the Koudi gar the gold for the women's
double skulls.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Gold for the New Zealand women's double skulls. Hoc Spores
Brook Francis down to the line that's gold d for
New Zealand.
Speaker 7 (01:49):
You know with that, that was us eleventh on the
medal table.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
We were sitting there wondering this week, going oh, we're
not doing so well.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
We're eleven per capita. We're surely at once.
Speaker 7 (01:56):
Surely one metal.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Hard to be so Lucy Spaws and Brook France is
taking out gold last night. Now all the headlines around
New Zealand this morning and the celebrating in the fact
that these are mums who have just gone back to
the sport like relatively young families.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
We also just talk about the sister connection. So Brook
Francis has a sister in the women's four that got
the bronze, but also in the four are two sisters.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yeah wow, you know this is interesting as well. Who
do you think is leading the middle table.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Australia, No, Japan, Yeah, no, China, China, surprise. Normally China
in the US.
Speaker 7 (02:37):
Isn't home nation.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
France is seeking Japan, and third Australia and fourth the
United States.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
You see who's leading the table. I was thinking of
all the obscure countries, I can think of just the
massive one.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
There was type of Sam's week news, weekly, news, we
missed it away weekly.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Sorry.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
The Olympics had begun and the opening ceremony was his
underwhelming as a two day old craisant. But there's nothing
like an amputation to spice up the games. Australian hockey
star Matt Dawson discussing lobbing off his finger as casually
is making a decision at the supermarket.
Speaker 8 (03:14):
I had made the decision, and then I called my
wife and she just said, oh, I don't want you
to make a rash decision. But I had all the
information that I needed to, I guess, make the decision
for not only playing in Paris, but for life after
and giving myself the best health.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Literally, the conversation I had with about getting chocolate bar.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
And it looked like where the Kiwis move from the
Olympic downtrail before the ladies. The black Ferns shot us
onto the metal table.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
Go black to Black goldman again.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
And it took a world record to stop Hayden Wild
going goals.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
It is heartbreaking for Hayden Wild.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
But Alex shesed to win gold in the men's triathlon
in Olympic record time.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
That's right, and it was the last night.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
But I wrote this yesterday, so we won't go into that.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
In the political world, Trump's on the men.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
As I think you can see, I've recovered well and
in fact it just took off the last bandage off
of my ear.
Speaker 7 (04:23):
Yes, revealing no wound at all. Anyone smell her at.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
What about the fact that he's also decided Kamala Harris
is actually not black.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
She's decided to be black.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
And there's also him ending democracy and how desperate he
is for the Christian vote.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Christians, get out and vote. Just this time. You won't
have to do it anymore four more years. You know what,
It'll be fixed. It'll be fine. I love you Christians,
I'm a Christian. I love you.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
Give me that vote when you say it'll be fixed.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Donald, what do you mean to be fixed.
Speaker 7 (04:58):
Anyway?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Back home, the headliner of the week cafe start serving
meat to make ends meat.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Auckland's kind cafe are mostly plant based. Eatery is now
having to start serving meat on its menu.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
But at least the owner has done some research.
Speaker 9 (05:11):
But we've consulted with the vegans and vegetarians and said,
you know, what kind of meat is good and what
kind of does not?
Speaker 10 (05:18):
Too nice?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
The vegans O meat, meat is good.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
I don't know if you want to expert this port
there's chicken than this veal, which is baby cow, a
particular favorite of mine, being an expert on meat.
Speaker 7 (05:31):
Anyway, Mattel introduces its first.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Ever blind barbie with the easiest adaption in the company's history.
It's just the same as all the other barbies, except
it has a cane.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
And about that while you're away and you must better fashion.
I don't think it was two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Million excuse me, fifty five million six off the coast
of Greece.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Did they run around?
Speaker 10 (05:57):
No?
Speaker 7 (05:58):
Did they hit something in the water.
Speaker 8 (05:59):
No?
Speaker 5 (06:00):
What happened after a crewmember forgot to secure one off
the doors?
Speaker 7 (06:04):
Oh cool, you forgot to shut the door.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Go fifty five million dollar votes thinking because someone forgot
to shut the side door. Anyway, the flame burnt brightly,
but benefit Jalo and pen Affleck have come to a
predictable end as they file for divorce.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
How do we know, fan afflag Bart a new house
and it's.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
J Loo free, delivered by a lady who with that
voice will also struggle to hold down a long term relationship.
Speaker 7 (06:28):
Oh again, then.
Speaker 9 (06:31):
Fan afflag Bart a new house and it's jay Loo free.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
She's doomed.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
That was the way you can use ah, you forgot
to put in that. They brought out a rugby barbie
two years ago.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
A lot of glory last night in Paris. We heard
this because we also heard this.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Gold for the New Zealand women's double skulls. Hosty spores
Brook Francis.
Speaker 10 (07:02):
Down to the line.
Speaker 11 (07:04):
That's gold, gold for New.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Seal Jordan, He's and his best so overnight if you've
missed it, Golden, the women's double scale silver and the
men's for bronze and the women's four and we still
have three more chances and rolling alone to meddle in
the coming days.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah, so we figured we'd head over to France right
now We've got a lady on the ground, Sharie Kaneer,
who is a New Zealand hero journalist, and.
Speaker 7 (07:30):
She joins us this morning. Good morning, Good.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
Morning, housings On. Was it Thursday evening your time?
Speaker 9 (07:38):
Yes, Honestly, I'm losing track of the day, so it's
just like I'm in the zone of like day six Olympics.
I don't know what day of the week, Yeah, evening,
I think it is hour.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Vibe.
Speaker 9 (07:51):
Oh, it's incredible. It's honestly, covering an event like this
is just unlike anything else, partly due to the fact
that it's just so busy and hectic and is just
so much going on trying to keep up with all
of our incredible athletes, but just the vibe here in
general with the fans. There's just so many people around,
so many tourists that have come over to watch the Olympics,
(08:11):
and then the vibe in the stadium is just another
level as well when you get to hear the crowd boring. Yeah,
it's just it really is really incredible.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
What is the key we contingent, Like lots of keipis
over there supporting New Zealand athletes.
Speaker 9 (08:26):
Yeah, there actually are. I'm Actually, as I'm speaking with you, guys,
I'm at New Zealand House, which is the main hub
for like friends and family and fans, and there's actually
quite a lot of Kiwi fans people I've spoken to
as well that either here, like you know, doubled it
up with the holiday in Europe and decided to come
around for the Olympics too. But there's also a lot
of other fans from other parts of the world that
are either from New Zealand or have some sort of
(08:49):
Kiwi connection as well, and they're over here enjoying all
the action.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yes, Sam, you really missed a trick. They're not adding
the Olympics to your European League.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
I have to say.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
We're all firing out for what is going to be
a pretty epic weekend for New Zealand, probably the biggest
one of the Olympics in terms of potential medals. Can
you just run us through some of the chances.
Speaker 9 (09:08):
We have, Yeah, there's so many. Off the top of
my head. You've got Dylan Schmid actually in the trampoline gymnastfix.
I think that's our next one if I'm not mistaken.
We've obviously got a bunch of rowing to come as well,
and not the athletics too, to the shop put final
over the weekend two Jacko Girl, Tom Walsh, So yeah,
plenty to come. And then there's also the track cycling too,
(09:30):
which you get to tick off and you know that
we are here for quite a few medals in that too.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yeah, we got Zoe Hobbs.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
We've got the sailings all looking pretty good this week
in to I also keep listening because just up to
eight this morning, Lucy Spores and Brook Francis joins us.
So after they've won there got medal last night, Suari,
thank you very much.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
They're going to have a Cosslan and the red wine
for us.
Speaker 9 (09:49):
That sounds good.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Your daily feel good breakfast catch up podcast with Coasts
Tony Jason, Sam.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
What an amazing night on the water for a New
Zealand last night.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Yeah, gosh, the Olympics has been good. But gosh it's
a sports but looser at the moment because we have
the AMC Premiership Final this week in the netball as well,
and we've got Adean Wilson to talk about it, and Adean,
I want to talk to you first and foremost about
the pulse shooter Martina Salmon because to me, she has
been the absolute fine of New Zealand netball this year,
twenty years of age. She was supposed to be playing
(10:23):
in the grade below, gets called it and now I
feel like she's a dead suit to make the Silver Firs.
You might disagree, but isn't she amazing?
Speaker 11 (10:31):
Oh she's definitely got to go to Charles And we
were a bit worried for a moment there because she
did live in Australia for a long time. Late is
she ellen gible? But she is, so that's good. And
she shot, actually she shot over fifty and three or
more occasions this season. Already it's a harbor, right do
you start with her or do you start with Amia Warmsley,
who's actual incumbents all were burned. So you know, Anna
(10:55):
Andrew Sosolo has got some great options off the bag.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
So we're in for a ding dong battle with the
final Wellington Pulse Northern Mystics Street You've got your money
on and all the mystics right, No, I'm not the Pulse.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
I'm picking the Pulse, even though I feel like you
I am. I feel like a bit of a turncoat
because I live in Auckland and my my kids are
all hardcore Mystics. But I just think I know the
Mystics are coming right at the right time, but I
just think they've had such an inconsistent season, especially early on,
and the Pulse, to me, have just got that little
bit of extra grit. Are you picking the Mystics a deean.
Speaker 11 (11:30):
Yes, But I do think it's going to be close,
and it is a really hard one. When you look
at all the steps, I think there's a plus minus
is like one point six goals between them or something.
Everything says that it's going to be a really close match.
But you know, the Mystics they won that last one
in round fourteen against the Pulse bob at ten I
(11:51):
think it was. Yeah, So you know, in the last
week it was such a close match against Elimination final.
Last five minutes they made a change the Mystics and
they scored I think it was they outscore Technics five
twelve in the last five minutes. And they can score
so quickly. And that's kind of why I'm going to Mystics,
because if they get in trouble, what are they doing?
(12:11):
Their throat's great.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah, yeah, for sure. According to the taban. You have
picked the underdog. The Mystics are paying two dollars ten
the Pulse are paying one dollars seventy.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
And you know what, Bunny, one of us is slightly
more qualified than the other.
Speaker 12 (12:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (12:28):
I think this one is literally a flip of the
coin and it's going to be that close.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
We love chatting with your Dean. All the very best
for this. So the Mystics, you've got the mistics over
the Pulse, we'll see that. Well, maybe breaking rights on Monday.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
I reckon, we.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Needs to do something.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
If the Pulse one, you leave her alone all the
silver food legend. No, I don't worry about that a little,
thanks Nast of your time. You can text us any
time about anything that's in that text to two six
nine nine A couple text about the netball.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
When can we watch it? Okay?
Speaker 4 (12:55):
So you can watch the A and Z Premiership Final
between Central Pulse and all the Mystics live on sky
Sport one or on Skysport Now from half us three
on Sunday afternoon. So sky opens also got the freely
coverage as well from halp Us three on Sunday afternoon
for their big match days.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Just on the feedback on the text on the netball.
Someone was listening to our journals earlier and said, thanks Tony,
it's so true looking forward to the end of the season.
This is a coach I've been coaching kids for twenty
years because the rewards are so special and knowing you're
making a difference, even in a small way. So thanks
for that.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
Coaches in refreezing Adaman's I love that. If you're in
traffic this morning, be real careful. It hasn't happened yet,
but Ford have applied for a patent pretty much to
come up with censes to fit to their vehicles. Now,
the senses on the vehicles on Ford's are going to
be able to snitch on other drivers around them. If
you break in the speed limit, the sense will ping
you on that and send it straight to the police
via the Internet.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
That's what they're saying.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
The system can detective a nearby vehicle is exceeding the
speed limit. From there, a report containing data of the
readings and maybe even a photo of the offending vehicle
could be sent to the police via the NEIR.
Speaker 12 (13:58):
Well.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
It would clear up, clear up, so the shoes wouldn't
It would like it was clear up whether you actually
read that read light the other day or not.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
Yes, it's a good point.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
J could you could be exonerated if you're telling the truth.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
I don't need then you afford patent to snitch.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
On Jason that you're already with the dash cams. Can't
well you can't help snitch already, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
If you've missed the story.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
So basically, a member of the public apparently saw me
running a red light and told the police and made
a complaint, and the police have sent me a leader
saying no, it's just an informal thing at the moment,
but intersection at that time, look to my diary.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
I was in a meeting here with you guys at
the time, so it wasn't me.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
I wouldn't stand up and court and say.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
You want to I was in front. It's a long time.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Meetings.
Speaker 9 (14:49):
You know that.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
You know who your mates are, right, Cheers?
Speaker 1 (14:54):
The good, the bad, and the only slash weird of
the Olympic Games. I actually really struggled to find the
right categories these stories today because some of them are
a little left field. So we're going to start with
the goods. I'm assuming this is good it's impressive anyway.
So a man from Turkey, fifty one, with no specialist
lenses or eye covers or air protection which is what
(15:15):
you usually have in shooting, managed to get a silver
medal and he's just casually got his left hand in
his pocket and he's just like, bang, bang, give me
the medal.
Speaker 7 (15:22):
And silver.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Fixes gone up hand and vogget yeah and what yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
It's quite he's in assassiny, just an assassin.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
And we also talk about the fact that he's fifty
one and he got a medal, all that deserves it.
As I said, I'll say it again, Jason, there's still time.
There is still time. The bad from the Olympics and
this is a bit sad to see and you might
have thoughts on this, but the box did you see
this about? So it was between two people in the
(15:56):
women's section, and Angelina Karrini she broke down in tears
after forty six seconds. She was playing in Algerian Amman
Khalif and she's come out and said, I've never felt
a punch like that in my life. Because what's happened
is two boxes were allowed to fight at the Olympics
despite being disqualified from the Women's World Champs last year
because they failed gender eligibility tests. So it's it's it's what.
Speaker 7 (16:20):
Is a gender eligibility tests?
Speaker 10 (16:22):
Is that?
Speaker 7 (16:22):
Is that like have a peak?
Speaker 5 (16:24):
How does how do you prove that?
Speaker 1 (16:26):
I don't know, but she this woman has fallen to
her knees sobbing. She's refused to shake the Algerian's hands
because she thinks it's any fear. She said, I'm heartbroken.
I went into this ring to honor my late father.
I was told lots of times that I should stop
because it was I was well. She assumed she was
getting punched by a man, right, So it's almost a
(16:46):
massive stir.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
I saw some of it was. It was a brutal
attache to the face. So I was like, wow.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Anyway, anyway, I got so much to say, but I'm
not going to say it.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
At least just leave it there and you can make
up your own mind in private. But the ugly slash weird,
and it's not ugly. This is just done weird. So
we've got this gymnast and she's from Italy and she's
been sponsored by and an ambassador for Parma cheese. So
(17:16):
what they've done is we want to sponsor this girl.
She's amazing, what a gymnast. And I've gone, how can
we really make this connection between the gymnast and the cheese?
And so they've got her with the biggest blocks of
cheese you've ever seen in your life, Like I'm talking
as big as a Swiss ball. And they've got her
posting seductively with the cheese. And they've got her in
(17:36):
one photo doing the splits on these massive raw blocks
of cheese. So she's got all cheesy legs.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Every time I go and what you compete? I go
back into the kitchen and just make a check. An
Alfredo with a whole lot of the advertising is on point.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
It's on coast right out here we go.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
It's your chance to put eight hundred dollars in your
account if you take us on and take our cash.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
So let's roll the dice. Who's playing the chases today?
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Do you know what I really don't like is when
I get home and at the moment my parents are
staying with us and they say, how did you get
on with the Chasers? I was like, how dare you
not listen? When I got a five, I.
Speaker 7 (18:21):
Wouldn't do the splits on a block of cheese.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
You know.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
You wouldn't be able to.
Speaker 7 (18:28):
I can't do the splits.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
But it's just not don't say it. You do not
say it.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
Roll the dice. Who's playing the chase today?
Speaker 7 (18:38):
You again, I have had a whole week here back
in this country.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
And I haven't played.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
This is my food consecutive day, it really is.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
But you haven't lost. So go you make you family
proud of you today.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Time for a lost yet eight hundred double O four
Coast South phone number.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Just be call it ten. You can win some cash.
Speaker 10 (18:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:54):

Time. My name is Laura. I'm from the Hawk's Bay.
I'm going up on a rematch against Tony from a
couple of years ago as you beat me, so hopefully
today if I win the money, it'll definitely be going
on our animals.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
I love Laura. So you've like an olympian.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
You sat there for the last couple of years, retraining,
refocusing and who you are back at them?
Speaker 1 (19:31):
How can you rang up? And you said make sure,
it's Tony, I need to target that yell that sort
of animals do you have?
Speaker 10 (19:38):
Okay? So I have limon pit lambs, six dogs or cats,
five drogens and been on the farm. We have quite
a few stocks about thirty five hours and.
Speaker 12 (19:53):
Three hundred and fifty years that are lambing at the moment.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Is that being towning myself? Is it early to the lemmy?
It's only just August now?
Speaker 7 (20:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (20:02):
No, they nearly all.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Land now, so scary with the cold weather coming a
farming chat later.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
I always worry about the lambs having.
Speaker 10 (20:12):
To Oh, yes that I'm currently feeding at the moment.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Oh excuse Jac's a towny, he's he lives a Seemi.
Speaker 7 (20:22):
Rural now McDonald's really.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Lands have been born out on the farm by you.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
All right, thank you very much. See turning out of
the studio. Now we're going to do it. Is going
to start a clock with thirty seconds on that clock.
You know this, you've been there before. You can pass

Otherwise we think your first answer only and a Tony Carmesh' score.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
You win that money eight hundred dollars for the animals. Laura,
Are you ready?
Speaker 7 (20:45):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (20:45):
I am jes Okay, your time starts now.
Speaker 7 (20:49):
An eight sided shape is called what.
Speaker 10 (20:53):
Actor gone? Yes?
Speaker 7 (20:54):

An eight sided shape is called a what.
Speaker 1 (22:23):

Laura, Thank you very much for playing means on Monday,
after the week he had nine hundred dollars on the
line you could win. Feeling amazing this morning because last
night this happened on the water in Paris.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
Gold for the New Zealand Women's double Stones brought Francis
down to the line. That's child gold for New Zealand.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
Wow, I still get goosebumps when I hear it. And
on the phone from Paris, Lucy and Brock and I.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
Can tell you, guys the headlines across New Zealand. Mom
and celebrating the fact that yes you have won this,
but you are Mum's new mums coming back to the sport.
So congratulations on the supermum superhuman effort.
Speaker 9 (23:17):
Thank thank you, guys.
Speaker 11 (23:20):
We're so tough.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Wow. Can I just say, as a mom of three
kids who isn't an Olympian, I just look at what
you guys have done and just think absolute wow, because
I can't even get to work on the daily alone.
Do what you have done. You must be so proud
of yourselves.
Speaker 11 (23:36):
Absolutely, I think being a mum of three kids should
be an Olympic four And I think you're doing great, just.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
In least good shape.
Speaker 11 (23:45):
Absolutely, we absolutely have not done this without help. You know,
Like we've just been away for six weeks and we've
we've had to fly our parents to Europe you know,
essentially and have them on tour with us. Yeah, that's
been doing the night so that we can get up
and train hard. And we haven't been short on help.
So yeah, we're so grateful for that.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Absolutely, let's not underestimate the help from partners and grandparents
in terms of getting a family together. Hey, I'm a male,
I don't really understand how this works. Does having a
kid make you go faster or slower?
Speaker 11 (24:15):
Well, we'd like to think we've used it as a
bit of a power. I think, you know, everyone gets
to see our high that we've been You know, to
give us through some really low times and gain some
highs and training and that's only brought out the strengths
and both of us, I think, yeah, yeah, And I
think the thing with the kid is that physically, when
you're giving birth, you're starting physically from the bottom again
(24:36):
and there's a lot of things to consider and a
lot of like small pieces that you have to spill
back from there. So yeah, there's two sides to it really.
There's like the physical building back and then also just
you know, as Tony knows, the balance and the juggle
and learning who you are and how that's all going
to work. So that's the part that I think we've
had to learn. But it has it has been a
suit of power because it's given us perspective and we've
(24:58):
had to make every day worth it and every day
has had to be efficient, and I'd say that's what's
been our secret superpower whatever.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
It till you've obviously done a well.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
Congratulations, but also, as you say before, it's a win
for your families as well, especially you, Lucy, because your
sister Phoebe also want to meddle.
Speaker 11 (25:12):
I know it's been such a good day for Mum
and dad, mum's like a bit of a mess. We're
hearing she's only just sort of started to get herself together.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
How proud. That's so incredible. But what about the entire
rowing contingent absolutely leading the way for New Zealand. And
I know how close you guys train and how much
of a tight knit team you are, so it must
be quite a magical feeling amongst the entire rowing squad
at the moment.
Speaker 11 (25:39):
Absolutely, we definitely feel like a family. This morning we
had teammate and Emo come down the court and qualify
it for their finals which are two days away, and
it definitely gave us lot of inspiration for our race
and we were we managed to be just off the
podium and get to chair on the women's for and
the men's for with their phenomenal races. And we're definitely
(25:59):
celebrated in the family today and looking forward to sharing
on our men's pair, lightweight double and the two singles
on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yes, congratulations, Thank you very much for everything. And I
know you're like a world away right now, but I
can tell you it's placed across every headline across.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
New Zealand at the moment. You guys have Done, us
So Proud, So Gold and the.
