Coast Breakfast brought to you by Bargain Chemist their Policy
New Zealand's cheapest chemist.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Tony Jason Sam's feel Good Breakfast Can't Shut podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Today on the show, we talked to Grant and Nisbo
about the All Blacks chances after two surprise losses.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
And after an increased fine and Moberdie parking. If you're
in a hurry and you need a park I have
a solution for you in this weekend.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
Years It's a terrible, terrible solution.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
You may have seen this in the rounds on social
media last night. You may have heard Bran mentioned it
in the news just a couple of minutes ago. Nigel Latter,
you know, the beloved TV show psychologist. He came out
last night and says he's been told he's got cancer.
Speaker 6 (00:48):
She said it's probably cancer. Now.
Speaker 7 (00:53):
That was that was not a great moment, right, because
these things happen to other people. That's how are you
always going to think? I said, okay, so just give
me a number, like how long, right, because that's what
you want to know. And he said six to twelve months.
I just stood there feeling completely and utterly paralyzed. It
was a very strange feeling started chemotherapy. That was you know,
(01:15):
the first one was kind of scary because you don't
know what it's about. So I've done four rounds of
chemos so far, and chemo's are.
Speaker 6 (01:23):
It's a fun old time.
Speaker 7 (01:26):
I don't choose to get this, but I can choose
how to respond to that. And what I've chosen to
do is just to be kind to the people around
me and to do everything I can to kind of
make it easy full of people around me. If you're
feeling real stressed and real dowb do something kind for
other people. It just makes you feel so much better. Yeah,
a bit of a downer, sorry about that, but lots
to be positive about. You'll be thinking, because I would
(01:47):
think this, I'm glad I'm not in And that's fine.
I'm glad you're not me. I wouldn't if someone said
you could offload this to someone else, you know, I
wouldn't do that, Like this isn't mine. I'll carry these rocks.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Markable Man, Yeah, I know, and he's you know, he's
at the real start of this journey. He's only four
months in at this point. But one of the things
I liked about what he said last night was you know,
he's been putting into practice what he has been preaching
for a long time as a psychologist. And the number, well,
there were two big takeaways that I took from it
was one, how you react is the only thing you
(02:20):
can control. You can't control you've got the cancer, but
you can control how you react. And the second thing
was he's getting a lot of joy from because everyone
wants to do stuff for him at the moment because
he's the sick one. He's getting his joy from being
kind to other people. Everything that he's been doing, little
things like, you know, being really kind to his oncology
nurse because she's a wonderful person.
Speaker 8 (02:41):
He said. Every time he does that, it gives him
a bit of a boost.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
And I get that taking the OUs off yourself too.
Speaker 9 (02:47):
He's got all the tools, doesn't he, but got I'm
dealing with those those raw emotions.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
He dignosis at least two kids as well. Kids it's
only been married for six months, second.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
One, and your wife's got three children's I was with
five combined children.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
So anyway, and we wish to go saying wishable very
very best, and he's going to keep us updated on
social media about this as well as his journey for
so far. But as he's as he's saying, he said,
the came chemotherapy. So far, so far it seems to
shrinking history. Yeah, so fingers crossed day.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Right now there, it's time for Sam's week. News weekly
news weekly news, the thing.
Speaker 10 (03:22):
We do every week.
Speaker 8 (03:23):
We stopped correcting them because our boss has given us
a We.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Started the week on the back foot because we lost
the footy. So Scott Robinson, was it a try? I
saw what you saw.
Speaker 8 (03:32):
We saw what you saw, so I can't We don't
see any more way in danger therey if you start
to do better re freeze and stuff. We're though, I
kind of love that diplomatic guard.
Speaker 9 (03:42):
So we kind of lost the match, but we won
the press conference there didn't And the story that divided
the nation and the ultimate act of stupidity.
Speaker 11 (03:50):
You're getting a cheeky bit of electrical work done in
the roof of your house and tucked away in the insulation,
you find five dusty bricks of cash, vacuum sealed and
placed more than two hundred and thirty thousand dollars worth.
The police know about the roof treasure because the couple
reported the fines to them.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
What are you doing anyway?
Speaker 9 (04:08):
They called a sparky ended up costing them two hundred
and thirty two thousand dollars, which sounds about right these dudes.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
He just turret tell the police listen. Then Australian breakdancer
Raygun fronts the media.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Do you genuinely think you are the best female breaker
in Australia?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, I think my record speaks to that.
Speaker 8 (04:29):
No, it doesn't record where you called three zeros.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
I've been to a year one disco that had better breakdancing.
Speaker 9 (04:35):
And fel Tony's friend Mellow who did the caterpillar in
her lounge and lost the tooth.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I'd say it is a bit of breakdancer.
Speaker 8 (04:42):
He's also Australian, So.
Speaker 9 (04:46):
Brad pat gets a new girlfriend, Elton John gets an
iron fiction, Robbie William ditches his wife and kids at
the back of the plane while he sits in first class,
and Johnny dipp gets new teeth.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Have you seen Johnny Depp's teeth? He's gone Hollywood on
the teeth. He's got of it.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
You've seen something about her?
Speaker 8 (05:06):
Stop her?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
And el McPherson beats breast cancer with komb Butcher.
Speaker 12 (05:10):
Australian supermodel el McPherson has been blasted by medical experts
as irresponsible after revealing she refused chemotherapy for breast cancer
and opted for what she called a holistic approach.
Speaker 9 (05:21):
A holistic approach that also included surgeons removing the tumor,
which doesn't really sound completely holistic to me?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Does that what happened?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
They are a surgeon involved, they removed the tumor.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
And she's gone on to.
Speaker 8 (05:33):
Yeah, I hope people don't take like that is the
way forward.
Speaker 9 (05:36):
It's a big, big platform to be preaching that from it,
and the penalty for misusing disability parks jumps to seven
hundred and fifty dollars one hundred and.
Speaker 13 (05:46):
Fifty dollars at the moment, I don't think is a
significant deterrance because a twenty sixteen survey Joe that a
third of the people parking and disabled car parks and
didn't have a mobility label.
Speaker 8 (05:58):
First, you can still run that good.
Speaker 9 (06:00):
I tell you what those people are monsters if you're
really in a hurry and there are no parks.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
That's what the pram parking is.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
So when you were growing up when you were a kid,
did you have like Strawberry short Cake or My Little
Ponies that sort of stuff.
Speaker 8 (06:16):
Both of those. Tiptic also trolls, right.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
So the merchandise from TV shows and movies. So that's
a big thing at the moment. It always has been.
Speaker 8 (06:23):
Since Weel Kids and Kirby's was another big one.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
KBS and all the Star Wars merchants out there.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Not only did I have them and then made my
children get them, so they've got a Kreber collection and
I pushed them that way because I still had an
affinity for them.
Speaker 9 (06:36):
Yeah, my parents are pretty anti merch so, oh yeah,
that was a luxury that was not afforded by our family.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
G I Joe's, there's some g I Joe's, but there
was one was a toy that went to a movie.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
We had a very deprived childhood hued well what have
you done to them?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
But we had how you say, always one of the
General League.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Know that the car from Jukes hesitant ever got the
General But what I did have is the Bojuke doll
and Bojuic was awesome.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
He was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, I wanted the G I Joe Aircraft carrier that
was never going to happen.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
That ear carrier would be the same as getting a
Barbie pool. Everyone at the pool because you could push
the button and it all bubbled.
Speaker 9 (07:18):
What I was afforded to was I had to colleck
the g I Joe cards and then you'd send away
and then you'd get back a G I Joe figurine
with a parachute.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Oh wow, and the parachute would open up. But those
are the freebies.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
I know this wasn't from a movie, but you would
have definitely been into the basketball NBA carts.
Speaker 8 (07:36):
One all the Boys Love.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, yeah, interesting, you get what was it? Ten cards?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
One God one God was worth like hundreds of dollars
if you got the special car, but no one ever
seemed to cash them in for money at any point.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Very valuable.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
But the reason we're talking about this is because Bluie
one of the biggest TV shows in the world right now.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
When the kids play any shop game with the mums
or dads, they use dollar bucks to pay for things.
It's fifteen dollar bucks, dared and so Australia post a
decidab'll cash on on this. So they released limited edition
dollar buck coins and Honestly, adults were lining up for
hours outside when they went on, see adults want them?
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Bluey is massive and so they finally get their hands
on them.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
And how some of these adults are by selling these
one dollar coins for two hundred and fifty bucks on Australia.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
But I know blue is massive. But Jace, what kids merch?
You personally get a line up for you?
Speaker 7 (08:29):
No?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
No, no, I agree, this is a suspicial type of person.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Maybe are they lining up for the kids though? Or
is it for their own?
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Might be both?
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Our Christmas say it's I mean our look around our kids, Maxini.
We've got Bluey merch you, We've got pepper pig merch.
Speaker 8 (08:42):
Absolutely yeah, we've got some blooey merch.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yeah yeah, we're put a Wiggles merch.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Poor patrol got.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
No, no, no, I've got this lovely star.
Speaker 9 (08:52):
It's a star on a handle and you turn on
the thing that lights up start, you wave it around
at night.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
So what about you?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
It's the merch maybe if I'm a TV show or movie.
When you were growing up, it's the merch you beg
for and maybe you were lucky enough to get it.
Speaker 10 (09:03):
What was it?
Speaker 5 (09:03):
Oh, eight hundred double O four Coast. I think it's
He's the two six nine nine.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Your daily feel good breakfast catch up podcast with Coasts,
Tony Jason Sam.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
But I was growing up, Michael Knight was the bell
and end of that night Rider.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
I was definitely want of the kit car and mom
and dad it's a litterally like, it was a dinky,
tiny little car.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
I got a reds felt and drew a little line
on across the bonnet.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
Was that like a matchbox car?
Speaker 10 (09:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Yeah, that's yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:31):
What's the go to.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Merch at the moment? Do you know what my son's
actually And this is a slightly easier to gear. It's
you know, Willies Wi Worst is doing those Disney Wonder
cards and he's obsessed and he wants to get the
whole set of Star Wars because there's all there's all
like the Disney movie Star Wars and he's like, when
are you going to Woolworst? Mom, I wasn't going to
go today, and.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
We just Trolls is another one at the moment.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
Yeah, I didn't know Trolls was in.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Probably yeah, probably because the last movies are Yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:58):
So back to the eighties, that's right, Yeah, I had troubles.
I should have keeped them.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
And this is all the merch from TV shows and
movies and things, right, which is the bigger than news
at the moment.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Because Bluey have just rolled Australia Post have.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Released the dollar bucks from blue the TV show there,
and so people were lining up outside to try and
buy these one dollar coins, these limited edition one dollar coins.
Now they're selling them online for like two hundred and
fifty bucks dollar bucks each and people are lining up
for them.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Dollar bucks is such a good work. Dollar I used
to call it paper money. Paper I only wanted paper
money the goldens.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I wanted to pay per So that what was the
TV or screen merch you had when you were growing up, Oh.
Speaker 14 (10:32):
Good morning, Yes it was advocat. We used to get
a bubble gum and a packet.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 14 (10:41):
I can't remember them one hundred percent, but I believe
on one side there was a you know, like call
of photographs of maybe one of the Ether members. There
were you know, and then on the reverse side, and
I think I was black and white. I could be wrong,
but it was a part of the puzzle. It was
like a jigs and puzzle.
Speaker 8 (11:05):
I'm looking at them.
Speaker 14 (11:06):
Like a poster of the band members. Yeah. They were
the hot item when I was growing up.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
If you still want them, I'm looking here. You can
go on eBay and they have pink and blue backgrounds.
Speaker 8 (11:19):
They stuff still a thing. Would you believe the EBB cards?
Oh you're cutting so you could have a trip down memory.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Lad, you've still got them. You can make some coins.
Speaker 10 (11:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
What did you have from the TV or screens when
you're growing up?
Speaker 10 (11:32):
I remember one Christmas, I got a Chips radio for
my bike, might be a mixed bike and cool CB
radio and the sirens and they got a helmet and
a bed and a T shirt. I had the helmets,
got the old as on and I was zooming around
the yard.
Speaker 8 (11:51):
It's so cool.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
One of my friends had the tips and T shirt
like a police uniform ship. It was a T shirt
one of their sober But I have a helmet. The
helmet was Koway Warwick.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the syron.
Speaker 14 (12:03):
All the sirens worked and you could talk through the
CB radio.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Could you talk to a friend that was far away?
It was more about projecting through the neighborhood as you ride.
Speaker 10 (12:12):
No, I was more about what I was doing and
where I was going.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Beautiful, get out of the way.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yeah yeah, yeah, right.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Thanks on two six nine nine, generally the eighteen the
van from the eighteen.
Speaker 11 (12:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Oh and if you saw that much now, I think
it would give you those same feels, because what I'm
telling you, I don't want to hop on about those Krebers.
Speaker 8 (12:31):
I see a Kreber and I instantly want to get
the whole seatre.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
He is, we need to talk about Nigel latter because
if you were on social media at all last night,
you would have seen on both Facebook and Instagram a
message pop up and he I think he just put
a simple word, so dot dot dot and then and
then the video played and what he told us was
pretty shocking.
Speaker 6 (12:54):
She said it's probably cancer.
Speaker 10 (12:58):
Now.
Speaker 7 (12:59):
That was That was not a great moment, right, because
these things happen to other people. That's how we're always
going to think. I said, okay, so just give me

It just makes you feel so much better. Yeah, a
bit of a downer, sorry about that, but lots to
be positive about. You'll be thinking, because I would think this,
I'm glad I'm not in and that's fine. I'm glad
you're not many. I wouldn't if someone said you could
offload this to someone else. Ye, No, I wouldn't do that,
Like this is mine.
Speaker 6 (14:03):
I'll carry this.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Rachel, Well, what an incredible human being. I've always thought
that about Nigel Letter anyway, but in this moment especially.
Speaker 8 (14:10):
Wow Kivy.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
And he said all he felt was a fullness in
the back of his throat and that's what made him
go to his GP.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Yeah, a powerful mindset, isn't it.
Speaker 9 (14:18):
And it just shows you that you know, these psychologists,
they did develop these skills to try and lighten the
load on people. And you can literally see those tools
working for him right there, can't you.
Speaker 8 (14:28):
Oh yeah, but it must be. It must be awful.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
And it actually reminds me of doctor Lucy Hone who
was also a psychologist, and she studied it for years
and years and years, and then her daughter died in
a car accident and then she had to practice what
she preached and actually try and go are these tools
actually working? It's horrible that they have to endure this.
He only got married Nigel Letter six months ago to
his new wife.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Awful as sid and he's just one of life's greats,
isn't he?
Speaker 4 (14:55):
He really is.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
But the treatment is actually working well for her. It's
it's made the cancer disappear from his lymph nodes and
it's shrunk in the tumor which is.
Speaker 8 (15:03):
In his stomach.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
So six months to one year, you know, who knows.
But he's going to keep us posted across this as well.
So it goes without saying our thoughts in I love
with Nigel and his family.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Jesus on Coast.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Okay, there's a deal on right now where you could
fly to Fiji and stay at the Radison Blue Resort
for four nights and get breakfast every single day.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Flights are included the whole package. Twelve eight five.
Speaker 8 (15:27):
I've stayed at the Radison. It's so good and if
you've got grandkids or kids, it's perfect. It's one of
those gradual pools.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
It's the best one anyway. So you're about to be
nine hundred dollars hopefully that's a long way for that
Fiji holiday.
Speaker 8 (15:38):
Aren't you going to Fiji next week?
Speaker 3 (15:40):
I'm going on Thursday.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Yeah, talking, here's your chance right now. Who's least rolled
in day?
Speaker 10 (15:47):
Good luck?
Speaker 8 (15:49):
Oh yeah, that's Peterance.
Speaker 10 (15:51):
It is you.
Speaker 8 (15:51):
Yeah, mister Fiji, mister happiness coach is up all right?
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Eight hundred double oh four. Coast just be called a
team now. Good luck, Good chasers on coast.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Hi.
Speaker 14 (16:04):
I'm Wendy from Auckland and I'm playing Sam today. If
I win the money, I'm going to put it towards
the family holiday.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Very nice.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Some good deals on at the moment too, Wendy, and
nine hundred dollars Wendy, that's quite a good chunk, isn't it?
Do you normally play the chases when you're listening along.
Speaker 10 (16:22):
Yep yep in the morning?
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Yet?
Speaker 8 (16:23):
And what would you get out of five? Generally usually
about a three? Okay, I think it's at least a
pas three today.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Okay, cool, I'm going to leave Wendy good luck nine
hundred dollars?
Speaker 4 (16:34):
So where would you go on holiday if you win
this money?
Speaker 10 (16:36):
Wendy?
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Where do you want to go? I think maybe speed
g Yeah, I was just saying that deal before. It's good.
Speaker 10 (16:43):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
Here we're going to very like thirty seconds on the clock.
Five quises coming from your way from from Tony, and
you can pass if you want to. We'll come back
if we have time otherwise without your first answer only
in a sam can't match you.
Speaker 10 (16:53):
You win? Are you ready?
Speaker 11 (16:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (16:55):
Here we go?
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Your time starts.
Speaker 10 (16:57):
Now?
Speaker 8 (16:58):
What animal eats mainly vam the Yes? What has turned
into a carriage in Cinderella?
Speaker 11 (17:05):

Speaker 8 (17:06):
How many players are on the ice and one ice
hockey team? Yes? And what city will the All Blacks
play the Spring Box this weekend? Memphis is? And what
US state? Yes?
Speaker 1 (17:22):
And what city will the All Blacks play the Spring box, Niffair.
Speaker 8 (17:27):
There was a no to that last one, but that
is a solid four out of five. Sam, He's going
to have to be on his game to get four.
Speaker 10 (17:36):
Though.
Speaker 8 (17:38):
Yeah, four to the four that Jason and I got
when we did this.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yeah, Ye're true, You're true.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
I don't need it on my Friday.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Wendy Well Sam are actually guescible as well. I think,
particularly the last couple. Yeah, hundred dollars, you need a
four to stop wins getting the nine hundred bush.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Going with. Now next week we're going to tag her on.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
It could be an awkward trip if she wins the
VD trip if she if she beats you today.
Speaker 8 (18:10):
Now, what animal eats Maine bamboo?
Speaker 3 (18:13):
The panda?
Speaker 8 (18:13):

Speaker 8 (18:22):
In what city will the All Blacks play the spring
Box this weekend?
Speaker 3 (18:25):

Speaker 7 (18:26):
No?
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Joeberg last weekend? The rematchless.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
If you'd said Cape Town, that would have given you three,
and then it would have hinged on the last question.
Let's see if you would have got that Memphis is

O Steakhouse. Apparently, Sam, you'd love us Steakhouse.
Speaker 8 (19:56):
It's from Tanya. Thank you so much for their Sarah,
have you ever been to New York before?
Speaker 7 (20:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (20:03):
I haven't.
Speaker 14 (20:04):
Man, that would just be a dreamy contrue when you look.
Speaker 8 (20:06):
At the destination. What kind of excites you about the
New York State?
Speaker 11 (20:13):
Pretty much?
Speaker 3 (20:14):
All of it just for shopping and the Niagara Falls
it's pretty cool.
Speaker 10 (20:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Okay, all right, Sarah, I'm about to combine your two
loves right here you are. Are you ready for this?
Speaker 5 (20:24):
I've just found not just an outlet store at Niagara Falls,
but a fashion outlet store that's a complex. These are
some of the brands there, Siah Kate Spade, New York. Hello,
You've got the Nike clearance store. So that's not just
cheap Nike stuff. That's the stuff with the rest of
the states seeing the Nike gear that hasn't sold during
that season.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
And it's a clearance prices and outlets. It's going to
be even cheaper than normal.
Speaker 8 (20:46):
Jace, I'm looking here.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
It seems to be quite a few outlets by Niagara Falls.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
I know, but I'm telling you, Siah, this is the
one is the fashion one. You're Calvin Klein, eddidaes Coach.
Some nice bags there, Pandora, and there's an Applebee's.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
So we can have a feed too.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Do you know?
Speaker 9 (21:01):
I think the confusing thing about this whole thing is
the widest state of New York. And if you want
to get an idea of what it has to offer,
the website I Love New York is magnificent because it
basically lists all the different areas and all the things
you can do, do.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
And all the places you can stay.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
It's magnificent, stunning, Sarah.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
And if you win this prize, you get so you're
and Hawk's stay right, Okay, we'll fly you there because
Domester Domester if is from in New Zealand are included
in this prize and.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Then ten nights accommodation in New York.
Speaker 14 (21:30):
So I can't imagine it. It's amazing.
Speaker 8 (21:32):
Put it in your mind because you're in the draw
now and it could be you.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
So make sure your passport's up today because we could
be having the time of our lives, first time New Yorker,
you and I.
Speaker 9 (21:42):
It's going to be amazing, And I reckon we should
where we should check on this Rocker steakhouse as well.
It's such a great suggestion.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
It is we called the best steakhouse in New York.
Speaker 8 (21:51):
Really, yeah, may know how to do steak?
Speaker 5 (21:54):
Love me a sta all right, so I love in
Why dot com start planning your adventures? See you is
say the key we way the chance to be in
the drawer after ten this morning. You might say it
was a great escape from the Springboks last weekend. They
managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. We
started with a hiss and a roar, and they were
making mistakes in their own backyard and they're the world
champions and.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
We had them.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
But at the end of the day we did lose.
The All Blacks lost, lost the test and now we
have to pick ourselves up and see if we can
hit them again.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
We got a question for you. Are you as equally
optimistic this week as last?
Speaker 10 (22:29):
More so actually, because we're away from the altitude, we're
down at sea level and in Cape Town we get
tremendous support, particularly from the Cape Kelts have always supported
the All Blacks. So well, look, I'm feeling a bit
better and I like the team changes too.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
So do I quite like that. What do you like
most about it?
Speaker 10 (22:46):
I think they've well, the first thing is they've they've
brought a bit of youth in the in the in
Ratama and of course the TT. But also they've strengthened
the bench, and I think that was a point of weakness.
Last week We're the box got a lot of impetus
out of the bomb squad. We didn't really get a
lot out of our reserve bench. And I think when
(23:07):
you look at it now, there's real impact and the
likes of Bowden, Barrett and TJ. Pettinara Antonine and Brown
the sort of bloke. So I'm feeling a lot happy
about the balance of the team.
Speaker 7 (23:17):
Is that not a risk?
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Though?
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Putting what I mean, most people would would say Boden
Barrett's one of our best backs. He's not going to
be potentially on the field for a large chunk of
the game.
Speaker 10 (23:27):
Well he maybe, I mean, it depends very much on
how the game goes, of course, but yeah, you're right,
but I think that probably we've played our best rugby
in the last couple of years when Boden has come
off the bench. I think I think Will Jordan is
made to be a fullback. It's only a second of
a start in the fullback role, and I think we're
seeing him with the Crusaders over the years. He's a
(23:48):
very very good fullback and I just like the balance.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (23:53):
The only thing is though, you've got a very confident
springbox side now, don't you.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (23:58):
But that made him change this too, which shows that
got some real depth. It's quite surprising when you win
a game and then you make changes. It shows some
real confidence. I noticed that Calisi is going to play
even though he got a bit damaged last week, but
nevertheless he's going to be there to lead them. And
(24:18):
he's pretty inspirational, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
It is.
Speaker 10 (24:21):
Yeah, I mean they've got some real depth in this squad,
there's no question about that.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Do you think.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
I do know if this might just be a rumor,
but have you heard much about the tmos being sponsored
by Spiksavers this week so they can see it but better?
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Yeah, that was.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
We don't want to blame the reefs, but there was
a shock.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
Sometimes it's black and white, right, and you just have
to court for So what's the score?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
What do you reckon? It's going to be?
Speaker 10 (24:43):
Look, I think we'll get home by about six.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
That's enoughful take that, write it down everyone. Thank you
so very much, grind this would have a great weekend.
Speaker 10 (24:52):
Good on you guys.
