The Coast Breakfast Bonus Podcast with Tony Jason Sam.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Thanks for listening to our Breakfast Bonus podcast today. It's
about a movie trend doing the rounds on social media. Basically,
it's like a chain leader. You tick the box of
the movies you've seen. You've seen it on So I thought,
why don't we do this right now, the movies you
have seen.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
I love this. My mum told me I was never
allowed to partake in a chain letter jas Oh really,
but I'm an adult now, so.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I can do those one that used to do the
rounds with something bad.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
I remember her mum saying these are very dangerous. Don't
do it.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
You're You're wow. You don't want anything bad to happen.
This is a positive chain exactly. This is a good one. Okay.
Have you ever seen et Yes, yep, we'll put down
for you eating beetlejuice. Yes, yes, the.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
New Beetle Juice has just come out. I haven't seen
the new one. The same cast almost Pill Keaton and
on a writer.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
And general tager than this one too, Wednesday herself. Ghostbusters. Yes,
do you know that's sit in New York? Ghostbusters are
set in New York running through the Street to Manhattan. Yeah. Avatar, yes, yep.
Harry Potter, yes, yep. A Night at the Museum, Yes,
been still I love that movie. Do you know where
that's it?
Speaker 3 (01:04):
In a museum?
Speaker 2 (01:07):
In a New York museum. Yes. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,
the original, the o G.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Oh yeah, and I've seen the latest one too, Timothy
Chamalay Oh yeah, later one.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I go the three willy wonkers? Who did the best?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
That is his name, Timothy?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
For me? The o G. The original Wilder was coooky. Yeah,
I agree. Do you think I'm not the only one?
The Jungle Book, Yes, the cartoon one or the one
they did later on?
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I think I seen both of them, mainly the cartoon
Disney version.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
One of the greats Mary Poppins. Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Have you seen all of these two?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yes? Not one I have seen, not to ye.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Mary Poppins. I have not seen the one with Emily
Blunt who played her latest one. Yeah, I've only seen
the og with Dame Julie Andrews.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
And so no one can beat Dame Julie.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Sorry, Emily comes closely. She does a great job. Now
they offered Dame Judy Andrews a chance to be in
this new one, and she said, no, I want to
let Emily do this.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
To be fair, she's probably a little bit old now
to be Mary Poppins.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I don't know. She wouldn't be Mary Poppins herself.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
And she doesn't want to benny those annoying kids at
her age.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
She didn't want the job of the first place. Star Wars,
I've only seen the first one. I haven't seen the other,
the Return of the Jedialis know.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Me, and Star Wars, I can't remember. With Star Trek
Star Wars, I'm just gonna say, no.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I know Matilda is on the list. Oh yes, I've
been threshing that.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Can I just say on Matilda, I've seen. We've seen
all of them because we were researching for the Girls.
So there's the og, the one with Danny DeVito, he's
mister Wormwood. Yes, So that's that's the one you got
to watch first and foremost. But the new version of
Matilda that's on Netflix at the moment, which is the
souped up musical version that Tim Minchin wrote and he
produced the movie as well. It's so good. It really
(02:56):
is got to watch because it's really modern, like My
Lucky my six year old it oh yeah, right, really
appealing to.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
All better than the DeVito one from the nineties.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
I reckon it is because it's got Emma Thompson as
the trunch ball and it's just the paste and it's
got the singing and the dancing that the original doesn't have.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Right, Okay, I get it ted the movie ted with
the I've never seen that. It's actually pretty funny. Is
that the beer that swears and stuff? Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
Mark Wahlberg's in it as well. It's good. The first
one is good. The second one they tried again and
they tried to use the same jokes, so big fish. No,
what's that? I don't know. I haven't seen that one either, know, Enchanted.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
I probably have.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Isn't that the Cinderella one? And Chanted? Yeah? I think
I have seen that with I want to say with
the kids.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Enchanted me, Oh no, I have. This is great. This
is the one with Amy Adams as a princess and
she travels back to modern time. She comes, she's a
she's a Disney Disneylanders. The Disney is made up. She
goes into the real world. It's actually a really good movie.
I watched it recently and it's got Patrick Dempsey, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
In the case that Yeah, okay, Where the Wild Things Are? Yes,
great book, terrible movie. Yeah, I think it was.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
The movie that was bad a. Dina Menzell's also in
that enchanted and also James Marsden and Susan Sarandon.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
What a cast a cast? Yeah, exactly what this telling us? Again?
The movies we have seen?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Oh yep, yeah, I've got about three. I haven't.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Who framed Roger Rabbit?
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, I would have back in the day.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
I loved it. And again it's bad to say this,
but his wife Jessica Rabbit, and she's quite hot. She's
for a car too. You feel you feel so wrong
on so many people saying that. But one of her
classic lines is I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
You've never brought this up before. It's like same with
this Quadrill girl. So the Robtustin girl or something on.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
A Raisin packet in here. I think.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
