Speaker 1 (00:08):
Okay, cats up little food for yourself life. Oh it's pretty,
but hey, it's pretty beautiful, beautiful for that for a
little more. Family said he you're kicking it with full
(00:31):
thing with Amy Brown.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Happy Thursday.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Four Things Amy here, and my guest today is Josie Rushing,
And I'm very excited about this chat because we're gonna
be talking about lymphatic massage. Josie is the owner founder
of Brazilicious. And now, Josie, you just opened up in Nashville,
but you have an Austin location around Rock location. You're
from Brazil. You've been doing lymphatic massage. I feel like
(00:57):
you've you brought it to Nashville. Most of my friends
have been coming to see you, and it's something that's new.
I know in California and New York people know more
about it, but I'm new to it. I think we
just start with that, what is lymphatic massage? And why
do people get it? How did you get into it?
That whole thing.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, So, first of all, thank you so much for
having me. I'm very excited to be here. Like you mentioned,
we are bringing this new culture to Nashville as well,
and I feel that people here are embracing it because
Brazilian lymphatic draintage massage by Josey Rushing, which is my take, Nique,
He's able to help people from the inside out, and
(01:38):
that's the main thing to me. People can have benefits
like from the moment that they are with theyre having
issues with their immuni system and gut for example, but
also they can have cosmatic results like conjuring appearance of selollite,
and on top of that, they can also have relaxations.
(01:58):
It's like a whole thing to get in a fifty
minute massage that can help us. So that's amazing and
I love it. Then I'm happy that people are loving
it here too well.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
So I'll explain why I came to see you last week.
And I had been in Vegas, traveling, working a lot,
completely dehydrated, obviously flying and I was not going to
the bathroom.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, and I was.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
In a lot of pain, and I had seen you
before and I didn't when you were pressing on my stomach.
I didn't have this feeling that I had after the
Vegas trip when I came in for an emergency session,
and I thought, what is that feeling? Like you were
pressing on my stomach and I said, what is that?
And you go poop and I thought, oh, okay, well
(02:46):
that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Then let's move that right along. And you were doing.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
This thing like tell people what to do, because I've
seen different people post things online, but I never remember
if it's clockwise counterclockwise you do a so, but you're
basically following like my intestines or what.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
So part of the Brazilian emphatic massage my technique specifically,
we always try to customize of whatever the clients need most.
So a majority of the clients that they are facing
some sort of problems with their about movements. This is
normal on today's society because like you're saying, sometimes we
fly too much and then we change our food habit
(03:28):
or even we are not drinking of water, so we're
kind of like dehydrated. So when I am doing the
Brazilian emphatic, I always try to understand what their needs
are and that's when we come to your case. So
last week I absolutely felt it and then that this
is such a simple stroke that people can do at
(03:50):
home to help them to have a better living. Because
we have to think about our intestine as our second brain.
Imagine this, we are having like our all of our
systems working nice and perfectly, but then you don't have
everything that you don't need anymore going out. So that's
(04:10):
pretty much what happens when you're constipated, and doing a
clockwise massage from the top to the bottom will help
to move everything that is around there and help the
process of you flushing out by your poop.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
That's pretty much it.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
So the lymphatic helps with the generally flushing out and
then we flush out by p majority of the time
sweat and poop, and also if we do specific strokes
for that, we can help your bowel movements. And then
that's what I did and it didn't work, thank you.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
So when you say, are we supposed to look in
the mirror and go which direction?
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Yeah, it's a clockwise and then from the top to
the bottom. So we go to the top right here,
and then you start you start from these here, go
on top and then go down theres like.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
You're o'clock yeah the yep, yeah, so you go from
twelve o'clock one to three, four, five, six, and then
back up around to twelve.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Yeah, that's pretty much it. You can start at nine pm.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Let's say this way nine to twelve, and then you
go from there.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Okay, yeah, so we want to start at nine pm. Yeah, okay,
I want to make sure we got this right. Okay,
and something else people can do at home, which I
never thought of this as part of detoxing, which is
what lymphatic massage is doing.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
But I know you're a big fan of tongue scraping.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, and I scrape my tongue every morning, but I
couldn't tell you why. I just know that I at
some point heard you should be doing it. So I thought, okay,
I'm gonna order a tongue scraper, And honestly, it just
feels good to wake up and get all that off
your tongue, but I don't know the benefits.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Yeah, So we have to think about our limphatic system
as our sewage. Imagine that our body needs to get
a rid of everything that we are not using anymore
and putting back on our circulatory system. That's pretty much
what it is. So this is our limphatic system. But
then we get all of these bad things coming to
(06:19):
us through our openings, for example, our mouth. So when
we do a scrape on our tongue. We are helping
our limphatic system to get a rid of this extra bacterias,
viruses and everything that is right there. So if you
are able to do that every single day, it will
(06:41):
actually help your God, your limphatic system in general, not
only the God, but the efatic system in general to
keep you healthy. So that's why we say that there
is a connection between the scraper, the tongue scraper, and
the lymphatic massage. So those are small things that people
(07:01):
can do in order to get them healthy. Because I understand,
like the lymphatic massage, the Brazilian emphatic massage. I know
it's a lot, but in Brazil we do that twice
or three times a week.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
And then here in America, when I first started with
my first location, I see clients in I also have
clients in La New York. I travel a lot, especially
like with huge events like Magala and everything. But they
are now understanding how this is important you have on
their essential care. And it's kind of until they get
(07:39):
this whole process understanding how important it is, they can
do things at home if they're not comfortable doing twice
or even like once a week. I'm Brazilian lymphatic John
once a week, so they can do this tongue scraper
or even like a walking or the clockwise stroke on
your stomach. There are so many things you can do home,
(08:00):
and this is one.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
What about putting your legs up in the air.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
For yeah, it works. It's circulation.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
So let's say something very easy for people to understand.
So we have our heart that bombs everything down, our
circulatory system to go down, and then our calf it's
almost like our heart for the legs. So our calves
helps to bring the blood flow up. So when you
(08:29):
put your legs up, for example, you can absolutely help
that system, the circulatory system to put everything back, so
it helps.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
It works.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
So for how long so do I go up and
just put them up against it wall?
Speaker 4 (08:44):
It's ten minutes, yeah, ten minutes every day you can
do that. So those are small habits that you can
do that will help your inphatic system as well.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Well. I feel like we need to address like what
lemph nodes are and like why we have so many. Honestly,
I think for a long long time I thought we
just had two in my throat, one on the left,
one on the right, because I think I would grow
up being like, oh, my lymph nodes swollen, and I
would go feel my throat. So I thought that these
two things you know right here, Yeah, is that my
(09:14):
lymph notes?
Speaker 4 (09:15):
No, it's okay, Yeah, that's the tonsils. That's totally fine,
not a problem. So we have about six hundred to
seven hundred lymph nodes in our body, and some of
them are the superficial ones that we are able to
massage and touch with our hands. The older ones are
a little bit deeper, and then we have them everywhere.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Well, And that's why when I did learn about it
my mom, I remember when she was diagnosed with cancer,
she was already at stage two stage three because they
had spread to her lymph nodes, and then stage four
was when it spread to the organs. But I don't
think even at that time I had a picture of
what that actually meant, like of six hundred or seven
(10:00):
undred lymphnodes in our body, like which ones and where?
Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yeah, I feel like.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
It would have benefited reason to know this then, But
I kind of want to address that too, of me
taking care of my lymph nodes or wanting to take
care of my body. Yeah, so carry on with what
the lymph nodes are and how many we happen.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
Yeah, yeah, so it's fine.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Like so see when I was mentioning at first and
how important the Brazilian lymphatic massage is, we are also
talking about health. So if we help our lemph nodes
that are responsible of filtering everything that is not good
for us and placing back to the lymphatic and then
circulatory system, if we help them out with our hands,
(10:40):
then you were going to have consequently a healthier life.
And that's what it is about as well. So the
leaf nodes are there, we have bunchs of them, not
all of them. We are able to massage with our
hands and activate them to work better, just the superficial ones.
But it's still you can you can do on yourself.
(11:01):
So we do have leafh notes on our nec that
is the cervical notes, but that's not only there. We
also have close to this super clavical and then axillary
cubido pupltio we know abdumbo and then we have like
a bunch we are able to go in touch with
our hands.
Speaker 5 (11:19):
So people, I'm sure.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
That they might be asked like all these like names,
what am I going to do with all of this?
It's say, but you can pump your lymph notes every
morning the same way that you do a tongue scrub,
or you can do your massage on your stomach. So
those are little things and habits that you can do
every day to help you have a better life and
(11:41):
a healthier life.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Can you talk me through pumping my lymph notes in
the morning or like pick an area, like let's say.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Fa, do I have them in my cheek, my face?
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Where that's going to be in front, front, and back
of our ears? Okay, close to the jawline over here
on the close to the neck. The serf co ones
are on the side of the neck, right on the side,
right down the ear towards exactly. And then also we
have a bunch on the super cleav go. Just have
(12:23):
to locate where your clod go is and it's going
to be around there. We have a lot here in
our close to our breasts as well. We don't perform
that while you are providing a Brazilian elymphatic for obvious reasons.
But if you're able to really go around your also
your breasts and pump there, what is the pumpy. I
(12:45):
had the student once because I also teach my technique.
We are in nineteen countries, by the way, I'm very
excited about this and what do we do. My students
look at me like, oh, you are doing a hula
hula and I was like, what do you.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
Mean about hula hola?
Speaker 4 (13:01):
She's like the way you pump it looks like that
is a hula houla, like from like Hawaiian stuff. It's like, oh,
that's really nice. So people can understand from now on,
what is the pumping pumping? Actually, we are activating the
lymph notes. They are kind of clogged and then they're
not functioning well and they have to filter everything that
is not good for us. And then when we go
(13:22):
there and do like a hula hula that we call pumping,
we kind of activate them so they are gonna get
ready to receive something else that they were out on
their full capacity and they were not able to filter that.
So you go there, for example, on your neck and
you pump like this and like very very gentle. It
(13:46):
cannot use and serve restraint. This is the number one
mistake that I see from a lot of even professionals
out there. Very gentle on our lymph notes and we
say hula.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
That's it. That's a pumping. You can do that to
your face, you can do that to your body. You
can do like and you can do that every day.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
This will help you to activate the lymph nose and
they're gonna work better. Working better, you're gonna have a
better health, and then you your lymphatic system will help
with Bacterias variusis and everything. So ournphatic system is amazing.
I could be here like ten hours talking about it.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Well, I will say when I've come in, it is
very gentle. It doesn't feel it's a lymphatic massage, but
it doesn't even feel like, say picture you're getting a
massage and you want the mildest form.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
It's even milder than that.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Yeah, it feels lovely, but you're right, it's a gentle
hula hula.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Yeah, on the leafh nos are always gonna be very
very gentle. Sometimes we have a misunderstanding because we have
two kinds of lymphatic, right, the regular lymphatic and then
also we have the Brazilian emphatic, and people sometime times
they get like Brazilian emphatic is not a real emphatic.
I got that A lot a lot of people ask
(15:05):
me this question. People need to understand and that the
regular lymphatic and the Brazilian emphatic are different. But the
Brazilian emphatic will never ever pump the lymph nodes, for example,
too hard. We use these strokes that are firmer but
lengthh node wise, Let's say this way, we are always
(15:27):
gonna pump them gentle, always the hula hola. It has
to be gentle.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
So I know with your technique and the face, I
haven't had the face one from you. I just have
had the body. But it can deflate or deploat, like
if we're inflamed. Is that what is happening When you're
doing the technique throughout the faces, you're pushing some things out,
So therefore it has it doesn't look as as huffy
(15:54):
per se, like if I was coming back from a
trip and dehydrated and flying, you know, or sometimes if
you I guess, just depending on what I've consumed or yeah,
what my lifestyle has been, like, I can wake up
and just feel very very very inflamed. And so that's
a technique that can depuff.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Yeah, and then deep puff like face and then also body,
like it's everything. So when we are doing a lymphatic,
we are helping our lymphatic system to find it's on path.
And then when we do that, we have a lot
of edema. Water retention is stuck there. We're just moving
it to the right path. And this right path are
(16:34):
our leap notes and then leaf notes that you feel
that you are contoured, you feel that you have very
deep puffed So same thing for the face, same thing
for the body.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
I was looking at signs for inflammation, things we can
look out for, and I know that obviously being tired
is on the list, hair loss, acne, insomnia, headaches, fluid
retention m hm, So those could also mean other things,
but those are signs of stress inflammation.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yeah, stress is very very common as well anxiety to
those emotional I don't know if I can say that
in English. You guys know, I'm English not my first language.
But when you feel something that is off mentally, it
also could be a sign of that. So we always
have to make sure that we watch our mental health
(17:30):
as well. Because like I was mentioning the beginning emphatic,
it's like I would say, like a triangle, right so
we have three benefits. The main benefits, I would say
the first one is the relaxation because we balance our
nervous system by balancing our emphatic system as well. So
you said it perfectly, That's what it is. We always
(17:53):
have to watch out and then by the moment that
people realize how this is how you feel after how
you have like more energy, it's completely different. Well, you
have experienced that, so you can exchange.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
I mean, like, can.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
I interview you and then you'll let me know how
was it well?
Speaker 3 (18:14):
And I have multiple friends that have come to you
and gotten it done and they're obsessed with it as well.
And I think for me, I well, the last time,
I was very thankful that you've got me.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
In the right direction again.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
But I always try to just look for ways that
I can add to my you know, overall well being
and do in addition to other things that I do
to take care of myself and feel my best. And
I know that you can't promise anything. I know we
were talking about that before we went on, and sometimes
just you know, guarantees for this or that. But I
(18:54):
know personally how I felt even that night and then
the next day, and I don't know. You serve some
sort of tea when we.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Believe what is that tea?
Speaker 4 (19:04):
It's a Brazilian detox d There's no sugar on it,
no caffeine. I think it's just Brazilian herbs. The help
a lot to keep the results that you were We
just either way for our hands.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
That's pretty much it. We all drink that tea in Brazil.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean you give me a handful.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I have some here.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
I actually a friend was over last night and they're like,
do you have any tea? I was like, actually, I
have this from Josie. What about speaking of drinking water,
how much water should we have? You hear all kinds
of studies that say, oh, you really don't need as
much water as this eight it needs to be eight
ounces times eight, or it needs to be your body
(19:47):
weight divided by this, and it's like, ugh, I don't know,
or just pay attention. If you feel thirsty, that means
you need water. If you're eating certain fruits and vegetables,
and you don't need as much. And it's hard to
keep up with what we really need and I try
to do my best. I know something you said to
me when I was on your table, You're like, Amy,
your skin is so dry, and I put my lotion
(20:08):
on every day, and I know I was likely dehydrated
from the travel. But then you also said that it
could be from my self tanner.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Oh my gosh, you're putting me on my honest spot here.
The ladies are gonna hate me for that. I mean, like,
there's no scientific browth for anything.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
So they do say it makes your skin dry.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Yeah, and then see, I didn't even know that they
officially say that. I just know by my experience. It's
been almost ten years that I do this, and every
time that I have a client that does selftainer, I
feel that their skin is more like dry. One thing
has to do with the other one. I mean, like
if you are not drinking of water, what happens usually
(20:53):
what happens if you don't drink water or if you
have like water retention, not if you don't drink water,
but if you have water irritation. It's normal that you
are skin expands, and then when you are skin expands,
your tissue expands. That's when you start to get dry.
You know, I'm not sure if I'm able to explain
(21:14):
that in English. It's kind of hard, but it's expanding,
and then by the expanding, you don't you don't have
a lot of you're not hydrated that much there. Anyways,
with the self tanning thing, there's no scientific proof of
anything about this, but yeah, I feel that when you
do that, you just have to take the precautions that
(21:35):
you are drinking a lot of water, which is how much.
That's hard because I'm not a nutritionist. It's complicated to
say like you should be drinking these or that. That
will be out of my scope to say anything. But
what we do is the body weight division. That's what
we're do in Brazils.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Okay, so that.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Is something I mean, and I trust your input on that,
especially because you say, hey, that's out of my scope,
and I really appreciate what you're saying. You're like, but
this is what we do there. So yeah, you can
google it. There's I guess you just do your body
weight by half.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Yeahually it's kilogram, so we do. Okay, it's kind of
hard to do in pounds for.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Me, so no exact water thing, but I just know
that it's important to stay hydrated, so I'm working on that,
and then I know you don't want to say brands
of self tanners, but I will.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Oh, I told her, And not she's saying, oh my gosh,
guess what I ordered?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I ordered it?
Speaker 5 (22:31):
Did you?
Speaker 2 (22:32):
I have it on right now?
Speaker 5 (22:33):
Oh my gosh. See.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
And how did you feel? I'm not sponsored by them,
by the way. Oh, I know, it's just like it's
just as a massage therapist. That's how I felt. It's
been so long, I see and I feel my clients
with self tanning and spray tanning and all that kind
and then when I saw this one specifically, I'm sure
(22:56):
people are not understanding anything. So last week I was
talking about about this with you, and then I mentioned
the brand that I felt that was a little bit better,
that was not like that didn't leave the skin that
much dry, like I was seeing my other clients in
my whole life with doing massage.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
So did you like it?
Speaker 2 (23:15):
I did?
Speaker 3 (23:15):
And the brand that she's not going to say, but
I will. It's a Dulce right, yeah, yeah, d o
l Ce and Miley Cyrus is an investor of sorts.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
I think the woman that founded it.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
You were telling me, I guess she was in LA
and doing spray hands and maybe Miley got one from
her and was like, oh, and then now they have it,
and I went to try to get the Moves one
and it's sold out.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
Yeah, yeah, they're really good. I love, I love. I
don't know her personally.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Just disclaimer here, I just I just know her by
Internet and I'm not a sponsored by their brand or
any anything like this. But I've heard about her story
at first with an interview she gave, so she's an
amazing woman. Apparently she has a very good story, and
I've heard good things about her products. So I went
(24:06):
and tried it out and then I feel that it's different,
and then you are feeling chill.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
So yeah, I do think my skin is different. And
I mean I have tried a lot of different self tanners,
and I'm pretty loyal to a couple.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
I will bounce between them just depending on what I
have in stock in my cabinet or whatnot. But I
have been very impressed. I love the color. My skin
does feel better. That also could because I've increased my
watery also because I came.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
To see you.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
But I mean, I think there's something to it. It's
definitely not feeling as dry, and I know a minute ago,
I said something like, you know, they say it feels right,
and now I want to correct myself that I'm not
sure if I just heard that from one of my
spray tand people of like, hey, you know, over the
years when I've been getting one, don't forget to moisturize.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Moisturize.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Moisturizes, and that probably helps this sprea can stay on
longer too. But I guess I associated that with because
it's going to make your skin dry, So that's where that.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Statement was coming from.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
And the moose was sold out, but I bought the mist,
and I am on a waiting list for the moose
because I think that I would prefer that. But the Mist,
I just sprayed it instead of spraying it on my
body like it said to I just sprayed it straight
on the MIT and then did the MIT in a
circular motion around my body. And that worked in case
(25:30):
anybody is going to order it and check it out
because the moose is sold out. Trial and error, I
figured it out and that was the best way for
me to get it on my body without making a
mess and having it spray everywhere.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Because I have the missed. But I was very thankful
for that, yep.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
And I didn't ever think about how that's completely.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Drying my skin out.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Talk about topical things on our skin and how they're
going directly into our body, because sometimes I don't really
I'm like, who cares, I'll just put this on my face,
put this on my body. Oh yeah, but it is
going inside of us.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it gets absorbed by our reports. Of course,
not everything, and then it depends off a bunch of situations.
And again I'm not a doctor. I cannot go into
details like this, but I feel like when you have
good quality of ingredients, like, for example, Dutch that they do,
I've heard her saying that she brings everything from Australia,
(26:34):
which is like the number one with ingredients on self tanning.
So I think all of these make the whole difference.
And yeah, it's just I don't know. I love them
and she doesn't even know it exists, but I love
her and her brand, and I feel when it's something good,
why not sharing with people, you know, like, see you've
loved it, and then yeah, we.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
Are here talking about today.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
So we're all about helping people when it's especially women,
when it's genuine.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
So the product. Yeah apparently.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
I mean, I don't use on myself because I'm already
very tanned, but I can absolutely Brazilian. Yeah, I have
my Brazilian collar, Brazilian butt lit.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
I'm kidding.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
What about foam rolling, Because I did a workout last
week that left me very very sore because I hadn't
done anything like that in quite some time, you know,
And so I busted out my pham roller and I
was trying to work through things. But that is way
more intense. It's not a soft hula hula. No, So
what is that doing for me?
Speaker 4 (27:37):
It doesn't have anything to do specifically with the lymphatic system.
It will help with your fascia fascion release. So so
what is fashion? Yeah, just explaining you guys on a
very easy way to understand, we have fashion covering all
of our muscles. It's kind of the protection for our muscle.
That's a very easy way, so you guys can understand.
(27:58):
And sometimes they get really sore. That's why they will
recommend you to do the phone roller.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
It helps.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
It helps you with the fashion release in general, myo
fashion release, So it's helpful. It doesn't have a relations
specific with the lymphatic, but it does help overall, and
by the moment that we are helping one of the things,
we kind of like the domino effect that helps the
other ones. Like it's like delymphatic, So when we do
the lymphatic, it's like it helps with the circulatory system
(28:30):
and then circulatorist system nutrients oxygen and all that stuff.
So it's a domino effect. I love it. I love
the phone roller. Everybody should be doing it as well.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
We should be.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Doing everything that is good for our body, but this
one it's good for our fashion release.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, I'm kind of excited to try to wake up
in the morning and do the hula hula yeah technique
on my neck area, I guess.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
You can do in the neck on the jawline as well,
and then front and back of the year as well.
You can do like like a scissors with your chill
fingers over here, and then you kind of can go
like here on front and the back of the year
and then do the hula hola right here. If you
do this every day every morning when you wake up
(29:18):
to your face, you're gonna see already difference.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
We'll do a video and I'll put it on my
Instagram at Radio AMU, so people can see what the
hula hula yeah, yeah, and kind of what you're doing
with the scissors in the ear. So how long?
Speaker 4 (29:32):
It is very quick, just three to five times. That's
it on each spot, so front of the ear, three
to three hula holda five hula holas and then here
the same thing under the jawl line right here, same
thing on the notes on your knack serve cone notes.
Is just like three or five three four five times.
(29:53):
It's very quick. We can do this driving, you can
do this while you are brushing your hair. You can
do this anywhere and then will help a lot. Oh
that's another teeth. That's super cool. For under eyebags. We
have our lacrymal dot very close to the end of
the eye. You can also do a very gentle pumpings
(30:13):
there to help with your under eyebags.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Let's do that in the video too, Like if your
eyes an almond, like the pointy part of the almond
right towards the nose right here.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Yeah, you can feel like a little grain there.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yes, I feel it. Oh gentle, Sorry, I think I
was already I was not hula hula soft.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
I was like I was kind of desperate. Oh my gosh,
she's getting Oh my gosh, I'm like good. I was
like a two second panic, so very gentle. Please okay, okay, gentle,
please please, And then if you go gentle, there's no
way to go wrong.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Just think about it about Joe's okay, Joe saying go gentle.
It's fine, and you should be good. That's all you
have to remember. Everything else, you should be.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Fine when in doubt.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Gentle. And podcasts are interesting.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
They live forever, so someone could be listening to this
two years from now in you know, the middle of summer.
But we're recording this right now in October, and so
we're about to enter the winter months soon. And I
saw that, you know, there's a lot of benefits to
doing stuff like this in the winter because we move less,
and because we're cold, there's an increase in like joint
(31:26):
pain and different things. So this is something that's very
good to do come winter time.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
That's perfect.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
And also allergies right now, since we are coming to
this fall, we have like all calling related especially here
in Nashville and then in Austin where I am. I
used to leave, So this is the perfect time of
day year, and it's good too, Like gift cards are
here for example, you can give someone to have a
different experience, right, So people need to find this out.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
That's what I feel. That is my mission.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
I know for a fact that by the moment that
they have these ones, they're gonna have this for their life.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
It's going to be a discover of the year.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
It's gonna be like how they feel their best on
their best versions inside out, is going to feel that
their healthier version. So I just want to make sure
people try once because I know after that they're gonna
be And.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Is there anything like say, people aren't in Nashville or
Austin around rock or Brazil. Now you have locations, Josie,
where what should people look out for if they're trying
to find a place. Are there any you know, either
white flags that we should look for that are good
or red flags that.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Yeah yeah stay away from?
Speaker 5 (32:41):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
So first, I like, I have my website that there
is a list of all of my certified these students
that I personally trained or online or in person.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
They can go there. It's like Brazilian Beautyformula dot.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Com, Brazilian Beautyformula dot com. Yeah, okay, I'll link it
in the show notes too.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Yeah, so they can find and my certified the students
there and my locations in Nashville and downtown Austin and
round Rock. But if they don't find anyone that is
my certified the student there knowing if they start pumping
your lymph notes too hard, it's like goodbye, I'll see
you later. Please don't do it, you know, like you
(33:20):
can't not you cannot pump your lymph notes too hard.
And that's why we have this misunderstanding of people sometimes
saying that Brazilian lymphatic is not a real emphatic, you know,
because people sometimes they pump the lymph notes too hard.
You can't do that if you damage, I know, it's
(33:42):
too boring. This like when we start to say like
this very specific stuff like from our body. But if
you press your lymph notes too hard, you can damage
and you reck over. It can take thirty to forty days.
Oh wow, yeah, so please don't. So there is like
we have the regular lymphatic that was creating the beginning
(34:05):
of nineteen hundreds that we feel that is not enough
right now for the lifestyle that we are leaving we
needed to have like an update of the technique. So
we are driving more, we are like drinking alcohol, we
are not drinking enough water like we were in the past.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
So we're traveling flying exactly, which just flying is really
hard on the body.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
It is.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
And then the Brazilian what we see is that the
Brazilian emphatic is the evolution of deal emphatic back there.
And sometimes people know, but the real emphatic is the
one that was created by doctor Voter years and years ago.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
How did you get into it?
Speaker 4 (34:43):
I have an outer immunity disorder that called syndrome antiphospholipid.
So when I was diagnosed with that, I started to
understand more about deal emphatic system and I just I
fell in love. And now this is little in my mission.
I really want people to try this, like at least
(35:04):
once in their life, do you know, like that thing
that is like please try this before you die, you know, like,
please try this before you die, because that's something that
can change their lives, and people don't know about it.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
And that's why people. Why are you opening a location
in Nashville? I mean I've.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Moved here, so my husband and I we are living
here now. So it's like, because that's a spot, I
feel that people are not aware of this yet.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
What's your gift and your put you want to share
it with people? Exact passion? Yeah, that's my passion.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
So after my autoimmunity disordered, I started learning everything about
Emphatic and I'm very very passionate about not only providing
the service but also teaching people.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
And that's why I.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Have all these tours I travel over. We are like
in thirty nine states here in America, ready with my students.
So yeah, I love this and I want to make
sure that people get to know this as well well.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Before we wrap, I would love if you could share
four things that you're currently grateful for. We do four
things gratitude. So it could be anything from your tea
that you maybe had today or something or you know,
I know you have two dogs that you rescued, even
just your new home, your husband, whatever. It could be
(36:23):
anything small, big, not serious or serious that you're currently
thankful for.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Oh my gosh, So family first, right, I feel that
as a Latina, I do believe that how important family
it is. And when I left Brazil, I laughed without
knowing what was going to be my future. And I
came from a very humble family there I had to
go through a lot of stuff in my life, including
(36:51):
sometimes not be able even to have money to eat.
So I'm very grateful for their support because I'm here
by myself. I mean, like my husband, but he's American,
so I don't have anyone from my family, So number
one for sure be my family. Second my husband. Yeah,
my husband is everything to me. Without him, I wouldn't
do and I wouldn't be anything. So he is the
(37:14):
love of my life, my baby girls. So I have
two dogs, like you're saying, two English bulldogs, and they
are my passion. And I believe that the Lord as well.
Without without his blessings and his authorization, and I wouldn't
be able to share my mission. So I would say
(37:35):
that the Lord as well.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
And yeah, I love those four things, right, Yeah, they're
great and I've enjoyed getting to know you and I
look forward to more. We're gonna wrap this and make
some video, a video to show people so that I
can put it on Instagram, because yeah, we got to
make sure that we're doing a soft hula.
Speaker 5 (37:57):
Hula yeah, yeah, please.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
Which I'm going to Hawaii for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Oh cool?
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Ill like now, yeah, I see it works.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
I mean like people sometimes they try to tea each
others as like, oh, let me just talk about your
CUPIDO notes. I mean like they already just want to
know how to do it. They do easier way, and
that's good because sometimes I even don't know that that
word in English, so it's easier for me as well
to explain. So it's like teaching a kid, do you know,
(38:28):
like that they you are always going to remember that now, right.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
No, I mean I think of you the entire time
exactly that was.
Speaker 5 (38:37):
You know.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
But I have a master degree in college teaching too,
so that helps.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
Which I love that you walked us through different ways
that we can we can do it ourselves. But I
would encourage people to check out your website for certified practitioners.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Yeah, that what it's it.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
And then also if they're an Austin, Round Rock, Nashville
or Brazil to come find you, yeah, seek you out well, yeah,
for people that are in your Brasilicious spas yeah, Yeahsilicious
Beauty Spa. And again the technique is by Josie and
it's called the Josie Rushing technique, and then when it
(39:15):
comes to Instagram, what's yours? And then what's the spa?
Speaker 4 (39:18):
One mine is Josie ass Rushing and the spy is
Brasilia Shows Beauty Spa okay, and I'll.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Link both of those in the show notes as well.
And Josie, thank you for this.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
Absolutely my pleasure. Anytime.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
Just let me know how I'm there for both ways
you'll help you there and with my massage stable or
anywhere here.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Awesome.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Well, I appreciate you, and I hope everyone listening is
having the day that you need to have. And I
will talk to you all later and Josie, maybe they'll
see you online or something.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Make our video.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you so much for having me.
I love being here. And then if you guys need
anything else, so can just yeah me. I'm more than
happy to answer any think that you guys need to
as well.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Awesome, love it okay, all right, I wanna say buy
on three yeah, one two three Bye
