Speaker 1 (00:03):
Okay, So happy Tuesday. Everybody excited for this Q and
A because I have a guest and we're going to
do a Q and A on the Indiogram. Hunter Movli
is here, who's at Indiogram Hunter on Instagram and Facebook,
and he's been on the podcast before as a guest,
but never on a Q and A episode. So hey, Hunter,

(00:27):
happy to have you, Amy, thanks so much. I'm glad
to be here. And so Hunter, what you may not
know about our Tuesday episodes is I always start off
with some sort of quote. Well, I mean, I guess
you do know because I had to prepare a quote,
but you may not know why you prepared the quote.
And it's because I always share one. I started it,
I don't know, a few weeks ago or maybe a

(00:48):
few months ago, who knows. Who knows what time is anymore.
I just decided I would dedicate quotes to the start
of Tuesday episodes, and so I think you have one
ready to share with us, so you can share it
and why you chose it. I love finding good quotations
to like you're mentioning, and I try to read a

(01:08):
lot and so I find different things that inspire me.
So today, I thought I would share my most recent
quote that's inspired me and so I I kind of
discovered this just in the last month, and this is
a quote from Mark Nepo said, the simplest and hardest
thing to do each day is to be here fully,

(01:28):
completely without turning away. And I guess what, I what
I have just been inspired in thinking about from that
quotation is just there's so many invitations every day for
us to just not be present to the people who
are around us or the thing that we're attending to
in the moment. Life is just so full of invitations
for distraction, and so I just love that reminder of

(01:51):
really the simplest and hardest and most important thing for
us to do each day is just to be here fully, completely, uninterrupted,
without turning away. Yeah, and we're going to get into,
you know, the times that we're in given coronavirus and
kind of what we've all been faced with and how
I mean, would you agree that this is a time
probably depending on people's iniogram numbers actually, but where it's

(02:16):
very easy to not want to be present, so you
can find anything and everything to either distract yourself or
numb yourself or medicate yourselves, maybe literally and figuratively absolutely, yes,
I think this is a time where there's in a way,
some really big invitations to fully be present to what's

(02:38):
going on, and there's some kind of opportunities and challenges.
You know, so much of life includes both and and,
So in this season, you know, because we're out of
our ruts and our routines a little bit, there's some
just new ways that maybe we're noticing new things or
present to things, may be present to some of the
people we live with or love in new ways. But

(03:00):
also because of the anxiety and kind of stress of
the season, there's, like you mentioned, there are definitely just
reasons why we're all kind of potentially oriented to distracting
ourselves or to numbing from really what's going on. So
I think it's a both and season and there's always
an invitation to sort of be present to it and

(03:20):
just ask what is this season teaching me? To bring
the angiogram into that, since you're the expert, like how
is the intagram helpful to us during a pandemic and
unprecedented times? Like what if people? Well, quickly before you
answer that, though some people might be listening and they're

(03:41):
familiar with the indiogram. For those that aren't, quickly define
what that is and then go into why it might
be helpful for people to try to figure out their
inniogram number during this time. Absolutely, so, the inngiogram is
a personality tool, and so it has nine different personality types.
Each one of them is described by a number one

(04:03):
to three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. They're all different,
but ultimately the iniogram is just describing nine different personality styles.
And we think of it as more of a wisdom
tool or even sometimes a spiritual wisdom tool, because we
talk about these nine different personalities so that we can
kind of make sure they're healthy and that they're helping

(04:25):
us not hurting us, and ultimately so that we can
kind of reconnect beyond personality with some deeper, truer places
in ourselves. I think the indiogram is really helpful in
a time like this for lots of reasons. But ultimately,
what personalities tools do and what the angiogram does is
it kind of just clues us into when we're healthy

(04:48):
and when we're unhealthy, when we're we're kind of rising
to the top of our best self, and when we're
kind of sinking to the bottom. And so here we
are in this very strange time where our routines are
really different. Some of us are not working, some of
us are working from home, some of us are are

(05:08):
are teaching our kids from home. You know, just everything
is different about this time. And so if we don't
have some tool to kind of check in with ourselves
and say, how am I doing in this time? Am
I living into the healthiest versions of my personality or
my picking up some of the unhealthy kind of habitual

(05:29):
patterns that I kind of have picked up for years
that might not be the healthiest ways for me to
act in my personality. Because anytime things are different, anytime
things are strange, anytime things are kind of disorienting like
they are now, we can always kind of fall to
the bottom of some of our our behaviors, some of
our personalities. We can kind of go to the basement

(05:50):
in a way. And so I think the angeogram can
be really helpful in this time to just kind of
check in because it describes to us what it looks
like to be healthy and unhealthy in all of those
nine personality styles. So we can kind of do some
check in, I think in this time, and it's really
important to check in because otherwise sometimes the days just

(06:11):
blur together, we just fall into maybe some numbing strategies,
we fall into just kind of some new routines that
might not be our healthiest routines. So it's it's helpful
to check in with ourselves through the indiogram. And so
if someone wanted to learn more about the Instagram and
figure out their numbers so they could check in with
themselves during this time, where do you typically send people,

(06:34):
what's the best way for them to go about doing that? Yeah, absolutely,
I've send people, you know, one you can find a
lot of resources on my website aniogram hunter dot com,
some videos to just kind of intro you. There's also
some great stuff at the indiogram Institute dot org, some
really good stuff there at Inniagram Institute. And my inniogram

(06:54):
mentor is a woman named su Dance to Bill and
so people can find her resources online too and their
family plastic. You know, you were talking about how we
can go into the basement of sorts of our personalities,

(07:17):
So is that the same thing as how because I
personally know, but other people might not know. Listening that
we do have a number, we shift too in times
of stress. So give an example of a number, and
then where that number would go in stress, like you
can just absolutely So you're right, Amy, there's the unigram
is dynamic, it's not static, so it involves some movements.

(07:41):
So we have a core personality number, but each of
our numbers moves towards a different number in times of
stress and in times where we're secure, and so there's
this movement. So for me as a two, I'm a two,
which is kind of a helper and give or somebody
that really is a people person, loves to be in

(08:03):
relationship with people, really is is tuned into other people's
feelings and needs. But when I'm in stress, I have
access through the angiogram to the number eight, and eights
are a lot different than twos. They're passionate, they're intense,
they're a little bit more independent, they're not as feeling oriented,
they're more doers. So the interesting thing is when I'm

(08:25):
in stress, it means that I can go to eight
and I can either pick up healthy stuff from eight
or I can pick up unhealthy stuff from it. So
for me, that can look like it's a two going
to eight and if I'm unhealthy, if I'm not doing well,
not doing my work, not paying attention, I can go
get some real anger or rage from eight and I
can kind of explode on somebody. And that's never trade.

(08:48):
That just makes a mess. But if I go to
eight intentionally and I pick up some healthy stuff to
take care of myself and stress, that looks like for
a to meet, picking up good boundaries, meet picking up
the word no. You know, twos don't like to say no.
Eights are more comfortable saying no. So for each of us, Amy,
if if people will google iniogram, they'll find this image

(09:11):
that comes up the image of the indiogram, and it
has lines running between the numbers. And if you find
your core number on the inngeogram, you will notice there's
a line with an arrow moving away from your number.
That's where you go in stress. But then there's another
line with an arrow moving towards your core number. That's

(09:32):
where you can go in security to pick up some
extra stuff to take care of yourself. And the thing
I want to say to folks, Amy and this time,
is obviously we're in stress, and people kind of understand
what stresses, So you've got to pay attention to that
number where you go in stress during these times to
make sure you're picking up some healthy stuff to take
care of yourself in stress. But we're also drawing from

(09:56):
those security numbers because a lot of us now that
we're weak seven or eight or whatever week we are.
In this kind of new season, we've sort of found
some new groups, We found some new habits and some
new routines, which means that we're a little bit more
secure than maybe sometimes we think we are, which means
we're drawing from that security number two. And we need

(10:19):
to be aware of whether we're drawing things that are
healthy for us or drawing things that are unhealthy for
us from those both of those numbers. So are there
any Instagram numbers that are better equipped to handle this season? Absolutely?
So yeah. I mean the Intagram personality types are so different.
So there are some numbers like five and like nine

(10:40):
that are more reserved, you know, more able to kind
of go inside themselves, better able to to kind of
go into quarantine and not have to be a social
or not have to do as much. So that's great.
There's other numbers like two's they're struggling because maybe they're
not seen as many folks. So all of us, you know,
have have some ways in which you know, it may
be easier or less easier for us to just respond

(11:03):
or handle this time. But I think what we've got
to pay attention to is we've got to recognize that
there's invitations for all of us in this time. So
if you're one of those indiagram numbers like three or
seven or eight, that's a doer, that's a go getter,
that's always kind of up for new challenges, up for
new goals. There's some special invitations in this time for

(11:25):
you to explore Sabbath and you to explore rest as
the world is asking a little bit less of you.
But if you're an inniogram number like a four or
five or a nine, maybe there's a little bit more
reserved and and introverted and and kind of more naturally
able to spend time alone, spend time at home. This
might be a time for you to just pay attention

(11:45):
and make sure you're not going too deep into that
and and and take some time for yourself in this
time to actually work on some goals, work on some dreams,
work on some things that you want for your life.
After this season ends, and once and two and six,
it's just kind of finishing out the numbers. They're people people,
and they're oriented toward relationship and others. So this is

(12:07):
also a good time for you to step back and
take care of yourself and this time. So there's kind
of special invitations, Amy, just based on our numbers, you know,
for each of us to kind of say, what is
this season invite us toward yeah, okay, and also too,
while you were talking, it just made me think of
relationships and how some people are quarantined with their families

(12:29):
and their significant others and they haven't been around other personalities.
And like you said, seven eight, nine weeks, how depending
on what part of the country you're in how long
this has been going on. But it probably could be
helpful if you, if you haven't already done this and
you're listening and you are at home with other people,
maybe make this a thing with your significant other or

(12:50):
your family members to where you'll all find out each
other's numbers and then find out how you can live
together during this time. Because I hope we're coming out
of this, but the reality is it's gonna be a
slow entry, I think again, depending on where you live,
and then you know that we could have another round

(13:11):
of this at some point in the year, and you
can find yourself better equipped if you know your number,
and the people in your life, if you know their number,
you might be able to, I don't know, navigate through
some of this getting along better and knowing how to
support one another. And that's another thing too, I think
is you know, I asked you what numbers may handle
this better than others, But what numbers can you say? Again,

(13:34):
it might be really having a hard time that way.
If we know some of our friends or loved ones
are those numbers, we can make sure we check in
on them, you know, yeah, absolutely So. Some of the
numbers that this can be really tough for is twos,
for example. You know, they're so relational in people person
so if the two is quarantining on their own or
they're really limited from relationships, this is a pretty isolating

(13:57):
season for them. And so if you've got a friend,
this is too. This is a person you know you
might want to check in on and and three and
sevens and eight as well. You know, they can struggle
during these times if they're really limited from what they
can do because They've got a lot of energy to
do and to proceed forward with life. And so especially
your friends who are sevens, to check in on them

(14:18):
because this is a stressful time where their options are
limited and they really don't like options to be limited.
My friends that are sevens, they love to have fun
and they love to be around people, and if things
are not fun, they're going to make it fun. So
but it's kind of hard to make a pandemic fun.
So yeah, I could see where sevens would be struggling.

(14:41):
Thank you for coming on for this quick little Q
and a. But just could introduce some people to the
Instagram if they aren't familiar, and then to at least
maybe finding out their number during this time. And again,
Hunter's Instagram is at inniogram Hunter Instagram, Hunter dot com
for more info, He's so, are you still doing something
on Facebook weekly? I am Every Wednesday. I do a

(15:04):
Facebook live video so people can find those on my
Facebook page. Okay, perfect, And then I'm going to bring
Hunter back on in the Four Things podcast sometime soon.
We're trying to work out our our schedules to get
it booked. So if you'll have something you all would
like for Hunter to speak to. You can email me
for things with Amy Brown at gmail dot com. But

(15:26):
of course if you have a question, I'm sure you
get hit Hunter up. But the main thing is just
finding ways, whether it's through the indiogram and Hunter, I'm
sure you'll back me on this or whatever it is
that you need to do to try to make sure
you're taking care of yourself during this time, because you know,
I think of my kids and I worry about them
more so kind of how they may have had a

(15:49):
pre coronavirus personality and they may have a post not
that they've gone through something crazy, but I mean I
was super stressed in the beginning, especially when school started,
and I was there was so many crazy things, and
my dad is in a assisted living place and we
can't see him, and I was worried about his health

(16:11):
and everything. The beginning was very terrifying and it still is,
but I think we just have a better understanding of
what's happening now. And I was a hot mess, Hunter
like I was lashing out. I mean, I was having
moments where I felt like it's going crazy and my
kids were seeing it. And I joke that Stevenson may
as an adult being therapy later in life, and his

(16:34):
therapist will come to the conclusion that it was the
year that caused this because you know, Steve, his mom
me went crazy on him, and you know, because he
also dealt with the tornado right before coronavirus. So I
just feel like, again, depending on where you live, there's
different things in life that shape and mold how you

(16:56):
are moving forward. So they for each one put your right.
I mean, honestly, we just all need some tools, and
the innigram is one of those tools. There's a lot
of tools in the toolbox, so I agree with you.
We just need to encourage folks to find some tools
to make sure that you're doing okay, to check in
on yourself, to take care of yourself. Yeah. Well, thank

(17:17):
you for helping us be a part of that and
helping us at least try to understand the angiogram better
so that we can understand ourselves better. And thank you
for taking the time. Hunter. Appreciate you as always. Thank you, Amy.
Great to be with you.
