You were born to.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Do music, been writing since you were in high school,
and like a preteen teenager, you wrote your whole first
album by yourself, like reflecting on your journey. You've used
it for coping, and you've had all these incredible experiences.
You went viral when you put out Dreams of Fleetwood,
Matt Cover and Full Circle.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
You've recorded a song now with Mick Fleetwood. Yes, and
now you're signed.

Speaker 3 (00:57):

Dana White. You're on tour Jelly Roll, You're starting a
new tour with who I Call I Mean, You're just
blowing up, and you have your new album coming out,

My shee is so sweet. I want one. Get you
a cava poo. All right, a cavapoo. What's one of
the best compliments you've ever received?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Mmm?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh man, someone said something about my aura once.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
You have a great aura, thank you you do.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
And they said it was it was beautiful and it
was purple. Purple's good and I was like, okay, yeah,
that's my favorite color anyway, so I think. Yeah, they
were just like, your your aura is just beautiful, and
I was like, oh my god, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Well, honestly, to add on to that, you're just so
genuinely yourself, like if you're so connected to being you,
which is really amazing.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Thank you. Oh my gosh, that's the best compliment.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Now, Okay, let's let's see what I should get really
is just laying on the cards.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
What's something you're learning to like and just be more
okay with Ooh that's a deep one, learning to like.
Oh okay, yeah, I don't like this, but worrying. Worrying
is a big thing that I struggle with, and I'm

(02:39):
learning to be more okay with the fact that I
can't control bad things that happen to people, So you
worry about like the world. I worry about my family
and my friends and loved ones, and I just I'm
becoming more okay with the fact that I can't control

(03:00):
when bad things happen to them. So but I can
be there, you know, I can control how I respond
to it and how I'm there for them. So I'm
becoming more okay with that, slowly, slowly.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
That's hard.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I don't know if you ever get there. Yeah, yeah,
it's Uh, there's got to be a better place than
where I'm at right now because I am worrying all
the time.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
You are that something's gonna happen to your family.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, it's just like it's one of those fears I
think Like some people, I think, yeah, I love them
so much and I want the best for them, and
I want them to just like everybody else, you know,
I want them to be happy in life. And so
sometimes I feel like I can control those things, and
you know, control it somehow, it sounds ridiculous because when

(03:49):
I think about, how can you control it? Well by worrying?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
If I worry hard enough, I can control it.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
If I stop worrying, then something.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
About how I know, like, if you stop worrying things
will fall apart. It's a weird doing keeping everyone together
by worrying. I know, I know, Yep, I feel you Okay, I.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Need to go therapy.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
We all do.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Also, Ruby says me too. Who in your life has
had a bigger impact on you than they probably know?
Probably my grandfather. He passed away when I was about
four or five, and my dad had told me that
he had a dream of coming to Nashville. Along with

(04:34):
that performing at the Grand Ole Opry, which I just did.
So that was, you know, we did like a big
memorial for him, but he's I'll never forget it, and
it replays in my mind all the time. He said,
if I had enough money to make it out of
this small town, Appalachia's was very poor, you know when
during his time it's a very very poor area. He said,
if I had enough money to make it to Nashville,

(04:56):
I think I would have made it. And so I
have father said that. Yeah, remember him saying that. Yep,
I don't remember him saying. My dad had told me
that he had said that throughout his you know life,
it was his dream. It was his dream. So and
you're kind of living dream for him. Yeah, And I
don't believe in coincidences. But when my grandfather passed when

(05:18):
I was, yeah, about four or five, that's when I
started singing. So I I've sang for as long as
I can remember. But Mom and Dad we kind of
like put two and two together, like you started singing
around the time that he passed away, and so I
feel like everything was just kind of like that dream
of maybe generations before me was just passed on to me,

(05:41):
and so it was just I don't know, it's very
We're like, I don't know, we just were very spiritual
when it comes to that. I love that. That is amazing.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yep, Laine, thank you so much for joining me. You
are so amazing. Your voice is so gorgeous. Your songs
are so like heartfelt from your soul, and I just
feel like listening to them, I'm getting like a glimpse
of you. You're really sharing who you are through music
than you're a true artist. And I am just so
happy that we got to talk. And I cannot wait
to see your career just keep going where it's supposed

(06:14):
to go. And I love how you said in the
beginning of the podcast, how you just want to be
happy and you just want to use your gifts and
let them be fully like maximized, and that is so
beautiful and I just can't wait to see your life
on hold.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Thank you and thank you for having me. You were
a pleasure to talk. I'm insane.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Got here into her crying.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
No, that's fine, you know, but like two crazy people
talking to each other. I think we're holding together. Well,
we've done fine. We've bet her support dog in the middle,
so it's been fine. They knew, she knew, she she knew,
she knew she needed to be up here. She's like,
I'm right here holding space. Look she's exhausted. Yeah, wore
her out. Blandy Gardner, thank you so much. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
In your new album, Fada Polaroids, comes out September fifth.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Fada Polaroids September fifth, Nomber fifth.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Everyone get it, okay, Thie
