An eye catching campaign is highlighting nationwide concerns with aged care.
Advocacy group Aged care Matters have put up billboards around Wellington with eighty year old versions of the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister.
It's part of them urging the Government to boost the funding for elderly care beds and for them to address the nursing shortage.
Head of an Upper Hutt aged care facility Upper Hutt Dr Chris Gallivan says the industry is facing big challenges.
He says it's a sector that's on the brink of collapse which is in nobody's interest.
