Complex as Little Cyclones wrap up theregular season by taking on four Dodge,

two teams tied at the top ofthe division standings, both thirteen and one
against squads from the Iowa Alliance ConferenceNorth Division. So it's nights doubleheader could
determine an outright champion or a tiebetween these two squads at the top of
the standings. Ames comes in witha twenty two and fourteen overall record,
fourth Dodges twenty five and seven.Little Cyclones rallied four oh win. A

couple of nights ago at Gilbert twelveto ten was the final at Aames trail
nine one after three innings, thenstorm back out toward the Tigers eleven one
in the final four innings to comeaway with the two run win thanks to
three runs in the seventh inning.Of that one. As for the Dodgers,
they've won five straight and fourteen oftheir last sixteen, including a sweep

of Waterloo East, both run rulewins ten nothing and twelve nothing on Tuesday
night. These two teams met earlierthis season in Division Play. The games
at fourt Dodge on June twelfth asplit between the two teams, as the
Little Cyclones won Game one, onenothing, and then the Doctors bounced back
to split the nightcap six to four. The win in that one for the

kind of a wild one Gilbert theother night. How did that game unfold?
Oh my goodness. Yeah, wegot behind nine to one. They
hit the ball really well and wejust kept chipping away. We had a
six six inning, six run inning, and then just kept going. Kira

tied it up in the top ofthe seventh at ten, and then we
scored two more and slowly got inand as a as a you know,
tough spot, just pinch hitting andgot a hit and just kept us rolling
and it was fun. Is thata reflection or maybe an increase in the
confidence of this team when you comedown or you get down late, you
can still come back and win agame. I hope it's an increasing confidence

because we say it all the timewhen we are down that we're not out
of this game and we can stilldo this. So I think it was
definitely they wanted to win that game, not that they don't want to win
other games, but I think itdefinitely will help them in future instances.
No, because actually, you know, the night before we had scored i
think eight runs on two outs,and so that was kind of what we

were saying and fueling, like wecan absolutely do this. And so yeah,
it was. It was a fungame and it was wild well tonight,
of course it's a division title onthe line here with with Fort Dodge.
How exciting is it's just for yourteam to have this opportunity. It's
very exciting. I mean, theynoticed, you know, they recognize that
we don't have a softball banner yet, and so this would get us our
first softball banner. So I meanit's little things like that that we're definitely

playing for and we're excited to bein this position. And you know,
same record with Fort Dodge and wesplit with them before and definitely hoping to
take two from them tonight. Goingback to that split, what was the
differences between those two games? Yeah, the first game, you know,
Sid pitched amazing and we just keptfighting until the end and m Reese was

on and for the second year ina row, it was you know,
Reese got the hit that helped usout on that. So the next game,
you know, we were ahead andwe just they got back in it.
They fought hard, and they wereat home and I'm hoping tonight being
at home it makes a difference forus and we can take two. One
thing I know is similarity between yourteam stat wise, is you draw a
lot of walks. What are someof the keys to making sure your batters

are patient at the play? Yeah, I mean Mia is a prime example
of that. Mia will go threetwo almost every single time with the bat
But yeah, I mean they justlook for their pitch and We've played i
think four Dodge enough that we knowkind of that she's going to throw a
rise, she's going to throw achange, and so we're just looking for
our pitch and trying to um,you know, get a hit and anyway
on we want to score. Sothat's definitely they're looking to get on how

much how valuable is that to haveseen their primary pitch are already a different
pitch from last season, but onewho's awfully talented. Yeah, she was
their number two last year, sowe definitely still saw her two games last
year, and so it definitely helps, and you know, we just feel
like we can beat them and werewe are pretty pretty even kill with them,

and so we're just excited to getout there and hit the ball.
We all can hit the ball,and they just have to go do it.
Is there even more motivation knowing thatthis was the team that ended to
your season last year? Oh?Absolutely, it always is, I think
with Fort Dodge and so it's afun little rivalry and yeah, definitely there's
definitely some thoughts of last year,and there were when we were up there
earlier this season too, and nowwe're here and so it's going to be

a fun night. Well, nowthat you know your postseason opponent as well,
I don't want to get you thinkingahead of tonight, but is there
anything you want to see that makesyou that will give you an indication that
you're feeling good about things going intothe postseason. I think just both our
pitchers doing well tonight and just keepingour bats hot will be will be big.
I mean if we get behind,and I mean I've obviously expect us

of twelve to ten. Dodgers hada bit of an easier time of it
on Tuesday. They swept Waterloo Eastin a division matchup ten nothing and at

twelve nothing. The first game wasin five innings, in the second in
four, and it was a quarterwho threw a two hitter in the opener
of that double header struck out thirteenbatters for the Dodgers and I marked a

Tuesday, Aimes swept a doubleheader atMason City by scores of twelve, three

and Fort Dodge are being introduced aswe get set for game one of this
double header that will determine the championsof the North Division of the Iowa Alliance
Conference. Both teams thirteen and one. The only losses they've taken in division
play have been against each other wasthat split at Fort Dodge back on June

twelve, in which Aims on theopener and or Dodge won the nightcap.
So each team just thirteen and justone loss in fourteen games, I should
say in division play. Coming intotonight's matchup, I mentioned with Aames coach

Megan van Baron in our pregame interviewwith two teams both adept at drawing walks
on the season. Aims coming intotonight is tied for fifth in Class five
A with a one hundred and fourwalks drawn and with the Dodgers, they've
drawn one hundred three walks on theseason. That's fourth best in Class four

A. Coming in and night.Some of the other offensive numbers, Aims
is top ten in Class five Ain hits and tied for seventh in home
runs, tied for fifth and walks. As I mentioned, sixth in the
strikeout six fewest strikeouts by the Amesline up in Class five at the season,
says the eighth best batting average inthe class, the sixth best on

took the hard luck loss, scatteringthe three hits and four walks and giving
