Speaker 1 (00:00):

Speaker 2 (02:51):
All right, I would the rest of your day.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
God bless you, God bless you. And that's how it
went down yesterday. Right before we left, we're walking out
of here, like nine fifty eight. I'm like, all right,
it's not the cards this year.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, because normally you kind of know if you're going
to win this award, you will get a call during
a certain window of time. And yes, we called us
with a whole two minutes left basically, so we thought
we were out.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And it was. It was awesome. What a way to
do What a way to do it. And thank you
to you guys for listening to us, not only putting
up with the weird, but just being such a wonderful
group of people in a family of ours. And I
just can't thank you enough. I mean every time, a
lot of these awards are based on, you know what
we are, involvement with the community and You guys are
(03:36):
the community, you know. I mean you ask us to
get involved and help stuff, and we do that. We
ask you to get involved in help stuff and you
do that. I mean we do that. We do things together,
and I mean the same hued radiothon every year is
one great example. Raising over a million dollars last ten
years in a row or so every year. I mean,
that's that's amazing stuff. You know, stuff that affects us personally,
(03:58):
like with my mom with a vary cancer and getting
involved with Molcha Minnesota Varian Cancer Alliance. That's a big deal.
You go up, you show up for the walks and
you know people that are touched by ovarian cancer. It's
just another example blood drives that we do. You name it.
People that we lose, first responders that we lose, we
raise money for their families or we ask you to
(04:18):
raise money for that. We can't raise that kind of money.
Disc jockey's a kidding me. But all of us put
together and throwing in a few bucks and we raise
what one hundred and forty hundred and fifty thousand dollars
for families of first responders, families that have fallen. I
mean it's just amazing. So thank you, thank you, thank you,
and we meet it from the bottom of our three
little hearts here.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
It's really incredible. It feels like lightning in a bottle
when it comes to our family here at KIWEO two.
And when I say family, it's not just like us
here on air, it really is everyone that is involved.
Like what you're saying, I mean, it's it's very very
cool because I don't know that every body has this
sense of community when you have a show like this,
(04:58):
and it's really it's just it's an amazing like not
only do we get to come on here and talk
on the radio and be goofy and be dumb and
be silly, and you know, interact with people on the phones,
and do these contests, do these games which are all
super super great.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
And yeah, and get you in front of the stars,
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, like the concerts, the festivals, all these different things
that we are part of that we organize that we
give away tickets for all super cool. But it really
comes down to this sense of community, and I think
that that's a very very cool thing about radio and
about this particular station, this show sure where we have
been so blessed to have people who listen and then
(05:34):
connect with us enough to step up in the ways
that you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
It's just cool. You just get it. And even a
lot of the things where you think are little things
which are some of the biggest things. Somebody is fighting
cancer and they have a drive at a VFW or something,
and you know, will either show up or will promote
it or get it on our Facebook page or whatever.
And people need help with things, and it's not always
as big as a million dollars for the kids of
(05:58):
Saint Jude. Sometimes it's raising you know, hundreds or thousands
of dollars for a family that just needs a few
bucks to get through some medical bills. That's all the
community came up to you guys really really care.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
And yeah, sometimes it's just showing support, especially when it
comes to things like our first responders. If it's not
us raising money, sometimes it's just stepping up and stepping
out and showing that you care about people who are
serving as first responders or people in the military things
like that, because they just don't get the recognition that
they should from everybody.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Chopping off cards exactly, such a yell the kids that.
I mean they didn't have a dollar or anything. They
came by and they just wrote cards to the families.
Especially I remember in Burnsville and you know in Brooklyn
Center when we had the two I mean within months
of each other, the two events so close to each other,
where we lost first responders. I mean, it was just
it was horrific. And that's just an example of some
(06:48):
of it on a larger scale. And there's so many
things on a smaller Scaleand like.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Our listeners showing up every Friday just lining up in
a random parking lot where I just bring tickets. I mean,
it's lot of fun going out to all the different
cities seeing people. So this Friday, when I'm in Buffalo,
I'm gonna thank every single person that comes through the
line because this the ward is also for that.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
That was a very nice transition to Dubs on the Go.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Well, I mean they don't take time out of their morning,
but they do. That only missed that, We only missed
one thing. I mean, if you want you just point
to me. I'm good at it.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
That's not what I was. You got a board over
there too, you can fire this thing off. Where are
you gonna be this Friday, Dubs.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Gonna be in Buffalo at the Buffalo Rodeo. Really yeah,
the Buffalo Rodeo grounds where Sam was a rodeo queen.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Uh huh. And what are you doing? What are you
giving away?
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Given one hundred and two secret codes that could get
you into the secret show.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
But there's more than that, isn't there? Don't they get
a ticket to something else? If they show up?
Speaker 5 (07:52):
They get a ticket to the Thursday Rodeo performance in June,
one per car, right, yep, one per car, and then
a cups as well.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
I believe on that Thursday night kids do get in free.
So yeah, bring all the little rugress sports.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah, who knows they might be mutton busting. Well, thank
you everybody. It is awesome. We love it. It is
as much yours as it is ours. It's more yours
than it is ours, truthfully, and we cannot thank you enough.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. So come November we'll
be down to Nashville, hopefully all of us, and and
we'll be coming back with some crystal for our audience
(08:27):
and for cabin O two. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We love you guys. And to everyone at CMA, you
guys man, you don't need to do this, but you
