Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode. I tell you what.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Chris is back.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Yeah, that sounded a little faint.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's not.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
You're not gonna lie, it's not.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm so happy to you.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
You know who's happy to have me back more than anybody. No,
this board, this board is telling me a few things.
This board thought thought that you're a little mean to it.
I mean, the board thought that Doves was maybe just
a little too hard on it. You gotta be a
little a little softer. The board felt that you were
punching its buttons just a little bit too hard, you know,

(00:30):
maybe because it's not like it's not a keyboard.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I don't know, I see you be a little rough
with I'm.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Rough with this thing over here, and I'm rough with
vox Pro over here, this thing, this board right here.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
No, no, no, no, I know better.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Do you know that one little little ounce of spit,
well I shouldn't say ounce, like a point one could
just make this thing it gets testy. So the boards
taking a little issue with you know, the person in
my intead.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, now it likes you. It just it didn't feel
like it was really loved.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Well, it didn't feel like it was really there wasn't
much of a handshake. Yeah, it kind of felt like
you guys went right to third base and you just
kind of skip the first base and you just kind
of you didn't even hold hands. You just kind of
came in and went after a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
And it just this is.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
An older old after a little more attention. Yeah, and
you likes to have a little conversation first.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
You guys wonder why I'm here.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
So early in the morning, It is because I come
in and I have just a little conversation with the board.
You may think that's psychotic. Probably is, but this board
speaks to me. This board is again, this board's older
than I am, and it's we have developed a relationship.
And you just kind of you came in and started
poking around a little bit. And that's what happened on

(01:53):
Monday a little bit. When you heard some of the
dead air, the board was like put it across its
arms and said, no, I'm not going to do that
for you. You want this song to play, I'm sorry,
that's not gonna happen. You're just gonna have to slow down.
It probably sends you're nervous to a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Probably it could smell your fear.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah it probably did.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, it needs to. You know, You're right. Take it
out to dinner first, maybe butter it up a little bit,
but not literally. Won't work.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Trust me when I say this. The board does not eat.
There's no dinner, there's no You don't wine and dine.
The board so much and that the board, I will say,
hates liquid. It really does not like liquid. It got
really mad at me a few years ago. Dude, you
thought if you had any blunders, which I think your
show was. I think everything was great the last couple

(02:40):
of days. I'm just kind of giving you crap. I
think you guys did a wonderful job. The board doesn't.
The board is the board, though the board's a little testy.
The board likes things a certain way. The board has
its own personality and its own consciousness, right, But but
it doesn't. It doesn't like coffee, and it doesn't like
any liquid at all. Because I I did try it.

(03:01):
It asked for coffee a few years ago. I gave
it just a tiny little sip and it it freaked
out on me.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I gave the board over at Katy Okay the taste
of kombucha ones. It did not like that at all.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
What's in the koba?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
It's a tea. It's like a fermented tea.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, but there's nothing else in it. But like, okay,
that's what the board doesn't. Yeah, and I had splenda.
I had some splende in it, and that's what sugar.
That's what the fellas said. The fella said that. You know,
the the i T people or the technical directors were saying, like,
was there any sweetener in your coffee?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So well, yeah, the board, I.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Was trying to give it the best that I got
it spit it back out something fierce.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Did you know that? Apparently distilled water doesn't bother the board.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I'm not gonna try it.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Don't try it?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Should I drink? My coffee is distilled? Can you do that?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Just no, just straight distilled water. Not not like coffee
made with distilled water.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Because if you had the coffee, what's the big deal,
it's just coffee. Grounds it was distilled.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Water was still something other than distilled water.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
So you're telling me I could take distilled water dump
it all over this board. I mean, what's going to
happen because it doesn't the circuits work okay with it?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I guess I just remember an engineer telling me that once.
Maybe they're lying to me. I've never tested it and
I never will.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
That may have been an engineer that wanted a new board.
Maybe she grabs a couple of water, distilled water and
sticks it in there.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I assume that if you drench it, I'm sure it
would be an issue. But I think that some distilled waters.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Travis Moon is a fellow that I saw him yesterday.
He was down there for Greg's Hall of Fame induction,
which was awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Our boss.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
He tried diet cocaine in a particular board at the
State Fair one year.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
No nice.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
It was actually the first half hour of the broadcast
at the fair, you know, twelve days of the fair. Yeah,
he's not down there but a couple of minutes and
oh yeah, in a styrofoam cup boom. Right.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I remember driving in to the fair going what happened?

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Oh? No, Like it sounded like the booth caught on fire,
started sizzling. Said, oh, he's maybe he's cooking burgers up there.
That's kind of cool. Right, did we get a grill
at the fair? Because it literally started sizzling and stuff,
And he didn't even know what was going on.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
He just kept on talking.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I'm like, oh man, I'm gonna be overwhelmed with the
goodness of steaks and maybe there's somebody bringing their bron
burgers over.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
And now I got up there and we're off. It
was dead.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Oh no, you would think you still remember that here
a bet you would think that like these days, if
it happens, you'd think that the computer would keep the
music running and.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
They don't run it. But you have to flip a switch.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Okay, okay, it did not.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
No, there you have a switch.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
You have to go back to that room, which you
don't have a key to since I've decided to try
coffee with the board one time. Yeah, they now gave
me a key, so I know where the switch is.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
If anybody needs the switch, you go back.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
You hit an override, and then everything from the software
runs the show. Okay good Yeah, yeah, and we can
do still do things with another studio, but not not
this board.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
No, this board will hold strike.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I feel like we need to do something to cleanse
the room of this topic because we've been really I
don't want to jinx ourselves and end up.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
I think it good to talk about it.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
I think just because they get it out of the
way and then maybe nothing will happen. When you talk
about stuff, it never happens. If you talk about winning
a million dollars, you're not gonna win a million dollars.
It's when you don't talk about it, you say it's
never going to happen. You just never even bring it up,
and all of a sudden you win the lottery.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Did you see that guy this week that won the lottery?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
My point, he won.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
He thought that he lost his uh or thought that
he didn't win the lottery. He's like, I'll buy another
lottery ticket for the next one. He ends up winning
off of two lottery tickets one million dollars each.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, some guys get all the luck.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Yes, that guy got all the luck. Not only did
he win the lottery, he won it again.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
How about the guy that couldn't fix his forward truck
to see that he couldn't get something, He couldn't get
something to fit, and he found a wallet in it
that was over. Yeah, he was left over from the
Ford company that was one of the Ford it retired
forward to war. He was looking at his wallet and
his wallet fell into the truck. It's been gone for
like eleven twelve years, and some guy here in Minnesota
he's got the wallet.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yes, isn't that crazy. That's just wild. That was in
a lake crystal.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
And the Ford truck is like, hey man, give me
back my wallet.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I've been carrying that round for you.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Pickpocketed me.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Thank you for listening to this episode.
