Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I tell you what that was beautiful.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Are you guys ready to play a little game?
Speaker 3 (00:08):
I am not, but I will be.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Okay. There are five things. There are a lot of things.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Going on in the Twin Cities this weekend. I'm gonna
share five things, and I want you to rank them
in order of where like which you would go to first, okay,
and then what you would.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Go to last?
Speaker 3 (00:24):
So are you going to rank them? Like one of
the time, So it's of blind ranking I wanna do.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
I'm just here, nobody share their ranking. I'm gonna have
you guys just right down, right down which one?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (00:34):
So write them down and then rank them all right.
Here's what's going on this weekend. Open Streets Northeast. That's
happened in this Saturday from eleven until five Central Avenue
between Lowery Avenue Northeast and Fourteenth Avenue Northeast. It is
absolutely free, just big old neighborhood party. City closes off
a street for community fun. Residents get a chance to
explore their neighborhood all sorts of cool stuff.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Okay, Okay, that's.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
One thing going on. Minneapolis Art Firs. That's happening Saturday
and Sunday Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis. Okay, it's an art fair.
You know what's going on there. It's a lot of
art and stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yep, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Powderhorn Park Art Fair is going to take place this
weekend and uptown art fairs going on too, so if
you want to kind of include that at the same time.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
That's just the art fairs is just number two.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Okay, so art fair, yeah, and that's not the ranking
until you've done these are just you know. The third
one that I have to tell you about is the
Minneapolis Food Truck Festival. Nice, that's father Hennepin Bluff Park. Okay,
forty plus food trucks, all sorts of cool stuff. Obviously
lots of food. If you love the food truck stuff,
well that's going to be there. They got if you
(01:42):
want the whole lineup, I could actually post that too
on our socials. Cat Video Fest twenty twenty five is
happening this weekend. That's going on on Saturday and Sunday.
It looks like it's what it sounds basically, but tickets
are tickets are fourteen dollars apiece.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
What cat video to watch? Cat videos?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I mean, I'm sure, it's more than just watching.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Oh you know where that video?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Well, I mean it doesn't say much more than that,
it's just a bunch of cats. You're going to watch
the best cat videos pulled from submissions. Okay, it could
be from anywhere.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
It's like funniest home videos, but go with cats. And
you have to pay for the tickets.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yet fourteen dollars apiece?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Did I mention that the Rondo Block Party is going
on this weekend? The Rondo Block Party. It's in St.
Paul Rondo neighborhood. Okay, it's the historic Rondo neighborhood in
Saint Paul. And I mean they're gonna have some food there.
They're gonna have music vendors, all sorts of cool stuff.
There also features a health and wellness zone at the
Rondo Block Party. Those are the five things happening. You're
(02:41):
five things, well, five of the many things going on
this weekend. I want you to rank them, and then
let's let's see where we all come in here. Okay, okay,
how okay, Now, I'm let's sam sit for a second.
Dubs already know that you got dugs. I know you
got the uh, you get the food truck.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
First, you got I know, you know me so well, yeah,
go ahead, and you could take it from there.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Number two, I got the Open Streets. Three, I got
the Art Fair okay. Four I got the block party.
And then you already know I got the cat video
of cat video.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Number five okay, Sam, where are your rank these?
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Oh god? So here's why I have this. Just just
rank the five.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Okay, let's go.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Okay, there's Sam's here's mine. Let's go.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Food Truck Festival number one, Okay, Hello, I love to eat.
I was gonna put the cat video one up, but
I don't want to pay to get in.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
It's fourteen bucks. You can handle it, dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Watch I can scroll for ten hours.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Little kittens somebody for me.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yeah, the fourteen dollars helps take kittens off the street.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
No, I'm not paying that. I love cat videos, but
I'm not paying somebody to watch them. So Food Truck
Festival number one, go ahead, Number two, Art Fair number two,
Open Streets number three. I don't know what the heck
that Rondo neighborhood thing is. So that's number four, okay,
And then number five just just out of principle, because
I'm not paying to watch cat videos? Otherwise that one
would have ranked number two.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
All right, what did I pick? Do you think? You
guys know me pretty well? Food truck Festival first? Whatever?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
The free one is first?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Which one do you not need to pay to get into?
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, the food truck Festival.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
I don't pay as you eat, but in food Truck Festival,
so you'd be accurate with that, Sam.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yeah, I bet that you would do the Open Streets one.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Okay as number two? It's true you you know me? Well,
what's number three? Was that really?
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Your?
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Block party?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Which one? Three? Yeah? That's me? Yeah, yeah, you guys
so predictable. Yeah, okay, now we're coming down to it.
Four and five.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
It's between the Cat Video Fest twenty twenty five and
the Minneapolis Art Fairs.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I think that if you could rank both of those
that like ten.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
You would are fairs four.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
But yeah, Art Fair had fall into four just because
you don't want to pay just the g than to
watch cat videos.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Uh huh? Really cat videos number four?
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Are you just saying?
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Really?
Speaker 1 (05:07):
The cat video would be number four? Wow? Yeah, and
then number five would be the Minneapolisarve.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
That's how much you hate art just well, I did
have art fair at five, But then you said cat
videos and I don't get art.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
I get art, but I don't What I think is
art is stuff that's written or that's beautiful. That's like
when they paint something, it's really amazing in the talent,
but sometimes it looks like an ink blot test.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Its just and it's like duct taped to the wall. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I thought that I understood art in some form or
fashion kind of, except then I went to some like
modern art museum in DC a few years ago and
they had things like a blank canvas on the wall
and it's supposed to have a bunch of meaning and
it had an artist name and everything, and I'm like,
someone has this here. It's a blank canvas, literally a
blank canvas. And then in another spot they had like
(05:56):
half a tarp on the wall.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Yeah, it's beautiful as it kind of makes you tear
up just looking.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
At it, says I lost the other half on the highway.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
This is like when a kid doesn't actually do their
school assignment, so they just find a way to fake it.
And then it got like high regard.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
By the way.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
That never worked for me in school. No, I'd submit
artwork and I'd be like, okay.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Chris, I just did not understand it at Also now
I don't think I understand art.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Same here.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
I get the beauty, the like there's stuff that looks
like it took a lot of work and years and
years and years to put together, and then there's the
stuff that just like somebody threw up on canvas, and
it's like, okay, all right, and it wins.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
I don't understand it. I don't at all.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
So that's why I put it like, oh that's a
one point three million dollar painting.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Really, yes, yeah, oh sorry, I just used it as
a coaster.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I didn't know. I just wiped my brow off, but
I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I had no idea that I didn't know that was
part of the artwork. I thought that was a napkin.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I got some yard waste that I need to use
that tart for ye.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
