Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of I Tell You What, featuring
the dude that's going to be playing the benefit for
Minneapolis Hard Institute Foundation. It's called Heart Through sixty Friday
night at the Armory Colswindell. Hey, Hey, do I hear
little Rainie?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
You actually do? This is the first phone I've ever done,
like own duty.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Love that. Oh goes one?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh yeah, put her on.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Rainy you want to talk to him? Say hey, oh.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Is this the first time she's been on the radio?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Then yeah? It actually yes? Yeah? Can you sing? Can
you sing? Hey? I wish I could see her, but
at least she's not screaming, so that's good. How y'all
doing great?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
This is so adorable. This is not the Cole Swindell
I remember from like ten years ago.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
It is not far from it.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Thank great.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Just over three months she's still I know, and and
to us at three months at this age is obviously
it feels like a lot longer. But everybody's, oh, she's
still brand new, and she is. But we've been we've
been loving it. So uh, I'm excited to to get
back to Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, but has your songwriting changed since you had her?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I would think so. I mean, I I honestly haven't
written a ton, but every idea write down or every
you know. I've got several several ideas, and it just seems,
you know a lot of them. She's inspired. But it's
just like I said, I think you just, you know,
look at the world differently when you become a parent,
and especially the dad of a girl. Man, it's just
(01:47):
I don't know. And it's funny. People tell you about
it for nine months, you know, and you know it's
going to be special, but it's just one of those
things that you just have to experience to really be
able to understand. I think you're hitting.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Home because there's somebody in a room here that is
going to give birth any givings, and it's not me.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Or my good.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
She's ready in a second.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, I'm due next week.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Next week, oh my goodness. So yeah, you might not
make the show.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Then I might.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I don't blame you, trust me, I do not blame you.
But I'm so excited where you congratulations. I hope up
it goes great. That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I'm so excited for you, guys. Dude, You're saving lives.
Friday night at the Armory. This is to benefit the
Minneapolis Hard Institute Foundation. That's gonna be kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Oh yeah, I mean that is that's what it's all about.
You know. I think you know, you talk about different perspectives,
and I feel like the older I get and I've
always tried to be that way. But anytime we can,
you know, use what God has given us to help
other people. I mean, I don't I think that's what
we're here to do, to be honest with you. So it's, uh,
you know, anytime we get to do this, and obviously
(02:56):
Minneapolis and the whole area is just it's I don't know,
always been good to me, and it's just cool to
get to do this, especially around this time of the year.
And I hope, I hope everybody comes out and let's
let's have, you know, a good time for a great cast.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Isn't it kind of weird to think that, like, not
that anything would ever go wrong, but you're at a show.
If anything dead, well, you have a whole team of
hard experts right there to save the day, you know, I.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Know we open with flatliner or that you have to yeah,
with all the doctors and nurses. Yeah, a big thank
you to all them, you know, like they are. Honestly,
that's that's the field that you know probably doesn't get
enough credit as well. I mean they are the hours,
the time they spend and now having my little family,
(03:46):
it's just you know, it's it's not just touring musicians,
it's it's you guys on the radio. It's everybody that
does what they do. They spend you know, time away
from their family and I just think I look at
even that differently now. It's, uh, it's just a it's
a good season we're in. But I'm excited, like I said,
to do something like this and in a you know,
a state that I love. It's gonna be it's gonna
(04:06):
be a good night.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Well I think it's better that I like that we're
putting in your set list together, that we start with
flat liner and not end with it.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely, for the anything, for the for the
medical field.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
There you got to hang out with Dale Junior guys
kind of your song you should be here kind of
the backstory of that. So is there like another celebrity
or artist that you'd love to hang out with other
than Dale Junior.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Other than us?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, Yeah, just just y'all this uh this week and
let's see Yeah, and Rainey, I wish he could make it.
I can't wait for for everybody the meter. But uh,
let's see another celebrity I'd love to hang out with,
you know, I just I'm obsessed with golf, So I
think Tiger is somebody I've never met. I don't know
(04:51):
about hanging out. I just think playing golf I think
would be a pretty If I ever get a chance
to to do that, I think that would be that'd
be prett cool.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Have you ever thought about opening up your own theme park?
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Like Coland I'm just throwing it out there. It's like,
you know, dollars down one and nobody's really touched that sense.
It's like what I mean in Georgia.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Right, you know what? Hey, just you know, become a dad,
not the bars. I'm opening up a theme park. Ain't
nobody got Yeah? Roller coat? Well, Dolly obviously she's the best.
But that's yeah, that's a good idea. How do we
not think of this? Roller? Wait? Roller coaster? I wrote
that song for Luke. I thought there was but Cole
(05:38):
doesn't work with roller coaster. I was trying to make
something work there for the theme park.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Figure out, figure out, We'll figure it out. Yeah, a
roller colster, roller colster.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I saw. I was trying to make work, but I
was like, don't say that too bad. I'm live on
the radio, so it's it's already out there.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah. And I was just looking for cole slaw, like
if you didn't.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Want to fall yeah, yeah, catering something.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Not that you need to do that. I'm just saying, well.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You know, I mean, you're kind of telling me. I mean,
I'm mentioning I'm getting older, but dang, you're like sending
me retirement plans.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
And yes, it's good to look down the road and
it is. You got a baby, now you got college?
