Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of I Tell You what. People
want me to buy Sam's car? Smart? People don't want
me to buy Sam's car. She has another car for sale.
I have two kids.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
This is a nice car, though.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Unlike the last car. Talk back on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Hey Sam, I'm just wondering about your car. I mean,
I need a work car. What's the price you think interested?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Now? Keyword work car. He needs a work car, not
a working car.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
This is twenty fifteen Chevy Cruise. But one hundred and
fifty nine thousand miles.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Thank you for how many miles?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
One hundred and fifty nine thousand.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
On a Chevy Cruise.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah, that thing is. It's a pretty nice car. I'm
just saying.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
That's what she said about the last car.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
The Malibu's nice too.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
That's what she said about it.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
But that's what I thought about it.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I drove away, purchased a vehicle at her in laws place.
I'll never forget where. It was close to Highway fifty five.
I'll buy Buffalo. I think I still have the address
on my phone somewhere probably, And I drove off and
the engine light came on within a quarter mile, within
a quarter mile of driving at home, and I said,
I called her. I'm like, hey, what's up with this?
(01:11):
That's never happened before. And I'm just thinking her mechanic
brothers went in to reset it and they the engine light.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh I never.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Got him ye right after.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
You know, I would never do something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Talk back on the iHeartRadio app. If you'd be so
kind buying.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
A car from Sam.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Yeah, listen if it brings anyone any kind of comfort, technically,
be buying a car from Hawthorn.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
This is his car. I just drove it from a year.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
And I don't know the man that well.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
He takes great car care of his vehicle.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Why is he using you as the mediator in this?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
He's not. I'm just like taking it upon myself to
try to sell it to you.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
She's got a baby. Why hasn't it sold by now?
It's been up for sale for a couple of weeks
since you got the other one.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
It hasn't been weeks?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, sure it has?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Really what I mean not really?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yes, that's that's a couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Have been weeks?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
We haven't tried maybeen like two weeks.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay, weeks you said weeks? I said weeks.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
We haven't tried very hard.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah you have. You're slumping it on Facebook and everyone
has jumping in on it. Everyone's jumping in. It's so funny.
They're all going, is that the car you're trying to sell, Chris?
Are you trying to sell Chris another car? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I tagged in. It's a nice car.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I know you did. My phone blew up.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Listen. I'm telling you it gets amazing gas mileage.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
It handles so well in the snow, way better than
the Malibuu for real.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
That's a fact. I don't know why, but it is.
It's like a lawyer.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
You told me that they handled great in the snow,
and he sold it to me. Yes, you did. When
you saw me the Malibu, you said, yes, I drove
it in here many many days on Highway fifty five,
and it's great in the snow. It handles the snow
really well. That's what you said. Now you just said,
oh no, this one handled snow way better than the Malibu,
which says the Malibu didn't handle the snow that well,
which I figured out after I bought it, because the
tires were bald tires. We're not going to say how
(03:07):
she got here in the car she got here.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
The tires were not bald car. I'm just saying, if
the Malibus like at basically this is radio Sam. You
know it takes at like base level, and then the
Cruise is just better than that. How it handles in this?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Does the does the cruise the cruise is the new one?
Does it make the noise of the Malibu or I
can't hear myself think not make that noise? I've heard
that yesterday.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, but you knew that it made that noise when
you bought it. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
It wasn't just loud, it's just more metal and metal
it is.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
The Malibu is loud.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
And it doesn't tell me when it needs oil. It's like,
I'm fine, I'm good, no librication needed. I just have
a sore throat. Don't worry about it going down the highway.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
But the cruises, it's the cruises.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
It's got forty the interior noise of the c you
said it comes with the cruise.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
So the air compressor, like, Okay, when you have the
air conditioner fan, when you have the fan turned off,
there's no noise.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
But when you have the fan turned on, it's just
a little loud.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
It's it's you can't No, it's not it's it's so
you gotta talk to somebody, Hey, how are you.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah, it's that loud, but it's a little It is
definitely like loud enough.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
You know, it's loud enough that I feel embarrassed when
I drive.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Up to people.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
You should be embarrassed. I know you should be embarrassed
when you're talking to people on the phone. Because we've
had conversations and I'm like, okay, I got to fight
through that loud, obnoxious seven seven forty seven sound in
the background. Oh, you're in the airport.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
It is not nearly that.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
And then you hear her pull away from a traffic
light and it's like, I'm like, yeah, that's the little
fan thing in.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
That's not that loud.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You're so, should I buy Sam's car?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Talk back on the iHeartRadio app let it rip.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
But when we took it in to get the oil
change last time, we asked them to do like a
full evaluation on anything that they think could be done replaced.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
What is her brother right?
Speaker 2 (04:59):
No, No, we took it into like brothers. We took
it into sands of her auto.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah is going Wait a minute, how much you asking
for it? Okay? If I give it a clean bill
of health? What's my cut? Twenty five percent? Cars? Never
matter of fact, I'd buy it. This is the best
car I've ever seen in my life.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Right here, gonna pull Matilda and the miles go down.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
We took it into a third party autobody whatever, auto shop, Okay,
totally fine.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
They recommended fixing the fan, which is not that exact.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
The name of the auto shop is third party Auto.
Bob bones it, you're dad.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
And then there were like some other things but they
said that you don't have to get this fixed.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
And I don't remember the details on that stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Like the steering wheel, like does it stay?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Was fine?
Speaker 1 (05:48):
This one stays on? Ye, the one came off while
I was driving at home.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
You guys are saying all this, but it's actually a
nice car.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
You had to sit through the monkey wrench on the
steering wheel, had to use that.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
It's not true. If it was. If if I didn't want.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
A larger vehicle for when the baby gets here, I
would have just kept the Cruise because I love how
easy it is to park in the gas vile.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Part of me, do you feel safe enough driving your
new baby home from the hospital?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
And no, that's why she bought a new one.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
It's because but that's because it's small.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
And the small size of the Chevy Cruise is nice
because you can park anywhere.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
It's like parking a ticktack.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Yep, it's a good car to get my kids killed in,
don't you that one? Dark fast? It's not good enough
for her and her child, but for my children who
would be driving it. No, it's just fine for them
to make some car seed and the strollers.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, I need room for like all that stuff. See
Dubs gets it.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
The thing's like a golf cart.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
It's a good that's not a bad thing it is,
and it's got a good safety ratio.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Talk back on the iHeartRadio app. I'm really interested. I mean,
does it sound like she's selling me here?
Speaker 4 (06:49):
See Chris is gonna ham and Han make a big
deal out of it, and then he's gonna buy it.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Well, not after I have my say good morning guys.
I think Chris should buy car. Want she can totally
redeem her, redeem herself. Say.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Somebody's even laughing in the background that I know, I know,
going along with it.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Somebody was laughing.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Welcome to Sam's used car a lot where our only
customer is Chris.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Car.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
We've had swinging with Sam.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Now it's selling with saying.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
This is me.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Every day I've been saying to Chris, Chris by this car.
I'm just I don't want to like I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
And my last name was car. See the irony here
is just just crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's meant to be. You have it's so fun, you know.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
The always I consider it is because I could hang
it over your head like the last car.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
That's fine. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I know you don't you sell it? You don't.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
I got my money, it's not any it's not a
money thing. I've told you we'd give you a really
good deal. I told you make an offer, and you won't.
You won't you say how much. You haven't even made
it a whole lot.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I'm not having much of a chance of screening these
cell But.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Alrighty Sam, here's my offer. We'll agree upon a price
for the car, but you just give me the car
in the beginning, and for every month that goes by
that I don't have to put a repair in for
the car. I'll make a payment. That's what I say,
in a certain month if I have to do repairs,
and we'll take that off price off the top.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, car, that's what I said yesterday. I said the
same thing. You got nothing to lose if it's such
a great car. Yes, we should all buy cars like that.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
No one, no one should ever sell anything with those
kinds of stipulations.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
How about you give me the money that you're trying
to sell the car for and then I'll just keep
paying you back. Is I have to have to pay
for stuff that's wrong with the car as I drive it,
and you'll have your money back with it about two weeks.
That's not if it's like the last car.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
It's not how anything works.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Not a bad idea, though, is it my back on
this one? Yeah? On this one? Yeah? He heard the
last car? All right, Hey guys, iHeart Radio app on.
