Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of Tell You What.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'd hate to put you on the spot of your dubs,
but what is something that you don't want to do
in the state of Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Let's start with that. Something I don't want to do, something.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
That you shouldn't do in the state of Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Something that you shouldn't do. Oh boy, you did put
me on the spot.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah, totally, pretty pretty broad. I know I'm starting there.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
I would say, I mean, if you're from Minnesota, route
for the Packers.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Very good. Yeah, that's something that you should not do.
And well, most people in Minnesota would would would agree
with that problem. I think they're still like the fifth
most popular team in the state though.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I think the Packers there for a while.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
But you pretty much nailed it, and uh, their worst
fears came true yesterday Mike Caparsons towards a cl and
everyone's like, okay, well there goes the Packers chances and
everything else, and you know, it's it's it's probably logical
to think that way when you have a huge playmaker
like that. And by the way, this is not this
conversation is not really all about football. This conversation goes

(00:58):
well beyond that, why would we be talking about the
Green Bay Packers or Mike Ca Parsons here in Minnesota,
even though we do have a large constituency of Packers
fans listening to us, because in Western Wisconsin, we love
you guys absolutely. It's the way he's dealing with it,
which is I gotta say. I know it's sacrilege to
praise anything when it comes to the Packers in Minnesota

(01:20):
where our tower stands, but we do have a lot of,
like I said, a lot of Packers fans listening as
well and invested in our show, and I think it
goes well beyond football. This dude impressed me. There was
no crybaby in him yesterday. There's no crybaby in him
when he went down with that ACL injury, which will
take a season out from under you. For the most part,

(01:41):
I don't know of anybody that's come back from one
in less than about ten months or so.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So he's out right.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
And Mike Ca Parsons of the Packers, upon getting sidelined
for what could be a year with an ACL injury,
he says, I may be sidelined, but I'm not defeated.
This injury is my greatest test It's a moment God
allowed to string in my testimony, and I believe He
walks with me through this storm and chose me for
this fight because he knew my heart could carry it.

(02:08):
I'm deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates
for their unwavering support, love and belief in me during
this season. I trust his timing, his plan, and his purpose,
and I will rise again. You don't hear that from
every athlete when they go down to stop sometimes now
a lot of them may feel that way and think

(02:28):
that way, but he made sure that he went to
social and just said, hey, you know what, I'm not
going to let this completely destroy me in the future,
and I'm not going to let it destroy me right now.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yeah, he's got a positive attitude about it. He's not like, oh, well,
now our season blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Sure it's a season now and a team that he's
a part of, but he's not a part of, not
on the field.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
So, I guess what does that remind you of anything
you personally? Does it remind you of anything that you
went through and maybe took the same approach, or is
this something that you went through and maybe you didn't
know you had the strength like Micah Parsons is trying
to achieve until you.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Went through it. How heavy do you want to get?
Go ahead? I feel like human therapy again. Oh yeah no.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I mean if if it's something you don't want to
talk about, I would say.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Uh, like with my parents and everything with that, It's
like a lot of times I asked myself like why why,
why why would God.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Do this to me?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
And then he uh and then you know what, I'm like,
you know what, I trust you with everything that you're doing.
And I mean, like when we want our CMA. The
first thing I went to was my parents. How can
I tell them? And I'm like, you know what, They're
always with me and like I trust God's plan and
even with having a daughter and the way my life
is gone, I'm like, you know what, I'm I'm in

(03:46):
good hands.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So your daughter was a nick you yep, And there
was some.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Like sixteen days.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I mean we knew she was going to be in
there just because she was growth restricted, but it's still
the unknown, like how good is she going to grow?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Like what is like how oh well yeah? How yeah?
Like how she going to develop and everything and so on.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
A complete aside, and just to lightens up for a second,
do you in any way wish you yourself was growth
restricted based on the amount of food that you eat
at times? At times, I mean, you really have a
good metabolism. For what I'm seeing out of you, it's
pretty impressive.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I do.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Do you thank God for that every day? I really
hope you do. One day, dude, that button may hit, but.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Then that's what I go. Yeah, I should probably go
to the gym.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
But something tells me that this dude's probably been this
Mike comparisons out of Green Bay, it's probably been through
something before.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Ah he has. I think he's been injured before.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Whether it's that or maybe something personal in his life
or something with a family member, I don't know. It
just sounds like somebody that has that gets his faith.
He gets he really knows what he believes in, and
that's Jesus and he and he and he's he's just
ever forward and he's going to get through it, and
his mindset is strong and nothing's going to change his mind.
I just think it's it's kind of cool, like I remember,

(04:59):
do were you of this mindset? Before your parents passed
or was it more after your parents passed where you
needed it? Okay, it was pretty much after. And did
that prepare you after your parents were taken from you
at a pretty young age? Did that prepare you for
events in the future better, more so knowing that you
can trust Jesus.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, I would say so.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I would say it definitely did, because now my mindset
isn't why it's more of a like how cool is
this kind of thing? Like some of the experiences and
whatnot I wouldn't probably get to experience. I mean, I'm
not saying like, oh, well, my parents are gone so
and now get to experience more things.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I mean in the sense that.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
When so when Lena was born, it felt like a
part of me just became like whole again. So I'm like, oh,
I'm wondering if Jesus was like, you know what, now's
your time where you can be whole again and.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
All this other stuff. It's I know, I'm not making
any sense, but it kind.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Of like totally makes sense. It totally makes sense. And
what makes you feel whole exactly? You know, you were
whole before, but now it completes you more so because
it's a mission that you wanted to do something that
you've always wanted in your life, probably to have a family,
and got cruise of that, and he's gonna, you know,
put his glory on you.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
That's pretty cool. Yeah, I remember.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I mean, because there's moments that you have in your
life you're just thinking, what's the point going on. I'm
sure he sat there for a second there, laying on
that field, going geez, it's a point of getting up.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, I mean here, here it is.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It's and this is a he knew pretty much exactly
what happened the moment he went down.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Most these athletes do now.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
They're very well trained, and the trainers tell them, you
know what this pop means, what this feels like, and
that feels like, and it's almost like a self diagnosis.
Most of them in the ACLS, they seem to know
like right away, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I don't know when he went down, right away he
yelled the sideline, I'm out.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, Patrick Mahomes same thing. He knew what was going on.
But it's just I don't know. I just love the
resilience and the faith. I just really think it's cool
to have faith like that, and and sometimes it takes
a moment like this or maybe this is his first
moment something like that, to be.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
All looking at the positivity of things, because negativity doesn't
get you anywhere nowadays it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
But it's really easy to go there and everybody wries
and it's okay, you know.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I mean, it's more flies with honey than you do
with hold.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
On, Can I write that down? Can you send that
to me in an email? You catch more flies with
a honey than what.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
What's the rest of that dog? But you use the
S word? Oh, what's the S word?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Can you throw that? I mean, I'm lost without it
right now? You're really leaving me hanging on one word.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
What's the word shaving cream? Sure? Shit, yeah, at the
end you can say it.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I want Hey, thanks for listening to this episode of
