Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of I Tell You What did
you guys hear about Atlas thirty one?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Who do you know what Attlas thirty one is?

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
I think, I think I do, but I can't remember.
It sounds so familiar.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
It's Today's supposed to be the day of possible first
contact with aliens.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Oh hell yeah, never mind. I have no idea what
I'm talking about. That was not what I thought that was.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
It's this thing. Some say it's a comment. Some say
it's like space junk, and others say it's like just
a collection of asteroids, and others say it's an alien ship.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
What do you think it is?

Speaker 5 (00:31):
That's not that thing? That's like what a one point
eight light years away or something like that. I read.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Yeah, it's today. It's closest to the Sun today, gotcha.
So they feel that it's gonna slingshot around the Sun,
creating some kind of gravitational pull to get it closer
to the Earth or something, and then they're gonna, I
don't know, come down here and make love to all
of us.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Or is it gonna smash into us?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
No, I don't think so. If they some just say
it's a it's a bunch of aliens. To me, it
looks like.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
A little blob.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
It was cool alien.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
It was picked up by a telescope in Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
So I don't, I don't, you know, don't ask me, man,
but it's coming, it's here or something, and it just
sounds like something right out of sci fi. And a
lot of people have predicted this since like Midsummer. There's
some people, some Harvard guys, saying that this is it.
These are these are alien ships. I look at it
and it just doesn't look like that to me.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
What if the aliens are like the size of lego guys, Like,
after all these years we thought the aliens had these
big tall things. No, they're lego men's eye.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Well, I want to underestimate them.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Could that almost be scarier because they'd be able to
go undetected.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Yeah, and they'd be better.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Or already detected them. We already found them.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Right, So they can't be that small because if they're
visible in this big bright.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Blob, listen, this is the Earth and this is America.
But we don't understand. We just blow them up. Okay,
So they probably know that it works for me.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
These aliens might be aliens. They might be super friendly.
They might just want to come in and be like, look,
we have biscuits. Yes, we want to save you, and
we're like, we've been watching your TV show.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, why are they doing this to us?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And everybody always assumes that aliens are just violent, that
they want to take us over. They might just be
happy little explorer aliens.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
They're like yeah, and then we blow them up and
then you get that happy not so you're not so
happy explorer aliens. Island ships they come after that saying, hey,
you took out my little sisters.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
What right?

Speaker 3 (02:32):
You got to imagine It's kind of like when you
have one of those islands that has people on it
that have been completely untouched by modern day society, and
then when you try to go and visit them, they
just automatically destroy.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well, yeah, no, there's an island off of India. Yeah
that they do that. I can't think of.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
The name of them, but people don't go there, and
well I shouldn't say that the cannibal island or people.
I don't think they're cannibals, but people know they can't
be because they'd run out of food because there's only
a few of them on the on the island.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
They a documentary that was about Cannibell Island.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I think you're are you thinking of North Sentinel Island.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yes, Sentinel, Yes, yeah, the Sentinel, the Centenalese.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Yes, the Bay of Bengal.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
And they're basically an untouchable and the government of India
and really all governments say just stay off, just stay
away from that island, but people still try to go there,
and I mean they're they're dead.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
On the beach.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
So they got away recently, I think.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yes, I remember that because he had like a raft
or something and he just rolled up and didn't he
leave them a diet coke?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yes, yeah, I don't know if they like diet coke.
I think they maybe wanted pepsi and they tried to kill.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I can't imagine that they would. Just what do you
think they did with the can? Because I don't know,
they would have never seen a can like that before.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
They probably worshiped it.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Probably.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I don't know what to do with it.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
I have no idea because I'm sure they wouldn't want
to throw it into the water because that But I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Dude, why don't you after upon having this child, who
do you have a little more time you go to
the North Centinel Island, you go ask them.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
No, but there have been missionaries that have tried to
go yes, and they've been sadly laid to rest. I
mean these people, they come out on the beach, they
start chucking stuff at you.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
They vigorously reject all outside contact, is what it says online,
making it dangerous for anyone to approach. So it's illegal
for anyone to visit that island.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
They're probably living the high life over there, you know
what I mean, just leave us alone. They kind of
pose as they have barely any crows and stuff, and
then they go back in. They get their big screen TVs.
They're watching sports. Yeah, like the island of ESPN or something.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
It's it's just.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
One big man of glorious wonderfulness.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, sign me up.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Yeah, And they're like.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Oh man, somebody's coming in and they have like some
radar of people coming in.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Leave us alone with a subservient when yeah, don't bring
your outside culture in here.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Oh man, everybody grabbed the loin cloth. Somebody's coming to visit.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
The good cloth.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
I think that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
I'm I've always been fascinated with things like this.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, not enough to go check it out. They tell
you don't even fly over it. I mean they said, don't, yeah,
don't take a helicopter over it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Me, what are they gonna do?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
People, they don't do it. I mean they've been like
they don't put fly drones over it. I mean they
just they don't. They tell everyone just leave it alone,
well island, Sentinel Island, just don't, don't bring boats close
to it, don't fly boat drones off your boats and go.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
They just stay away.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Well, and you know that. I don't know like if
if if you were allowed to have drones and planes
and helicopters flying over it, people would be doing it
all the time. You have people trying to book tours
trying to show this island, which so that makes sense.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I remember these people can swim too, Yeah, you know
what I mean, I'm sure they're on an island.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
They can swim.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
They probably found stuff that they could float and they
can come out. And you know, this is king calling
is what this is. This is a skull island.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
It's interesting that they don't, like, are we just to
assume that there's never been some young person that grew
up on that island that dreamt of getting off the island.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I mean maybe that maybe maybe this is where the
ark of the Covenant is.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
I don't know, you know what I mean, I have
no idea. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I just you gotta imagine, like every I don't know,
it's like the Homas have rumspring. You got to figure
that they have something that they must have, some desire
to get off the island at some point.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I think, well, also, it's twofold.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
They don't want the governments say stay away from them,
because just a simple cold or a simple whatever disease
we're carrying cold or whatever can wipe out the whole
whoever's living there. So and that's not fair to them. No,
I just say, sometimes you just leave things alone. You know,
Guys typically don't do that. Not to sound sexist, No,

(07:01):
it's true. Women are more, they're curious and they do
things in a logical fashion. Guys just kind of just
go on with an island with a diet coke and
think you can make peace with people. Totally kind of stupid.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
I don't think I ever.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
He blew a whistle too at them to get their attention.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Probably should have came, you know what, had he had
a Miller Lite or something, that probably would have worked
out a little bit.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
They'd invite that guy back left and right.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
You should have brought some boots.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, Crown Royal man, let's go.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
You gotta figure at some point there's been people who
have visited the island that maybe they didn't kill on site.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I don't think so. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I don't think there's any if you look at that,
I don't think there's anyone on record.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I don't think anyone.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
People have survived getting off the at them, but not
without being a shoed or you know, have stuff thrown
at him.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Just imagine like the time of pirates and stuff, and
if you had nice pirates that wanted to visit or something.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
I don't know, he needed help or maybe they just
killed him.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
You first, I'll stay here and watch.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
But if you're on an island, if you're on a
if you're on an island and it's nice and warm,
and you're that close to the equator wherever you are, yeah,
and it's and it's pretty chill, would you wouldn't you
want to be kind of left alone too with your family.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Yeah, I suppose.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I can't imagine what they look like.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
There's got to be a lot of people in like,
you know, same familyting children.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Right, Like, how big do you think the population is?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I don't know, dozens, I think.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I don't think it's a lot dozens married, I know,
I know, but I think I think it's look it up.
I don't think it's maybe in the hundreds. I don't
think it's a popular that It's not like Manhattan, you know.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Yeah, I can only marry so many people or like, well,
there's probably an intertwined and people probably die.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
They have no idea because it says that it's unknown,
difficult to estimate, but they think it's between fifty to
one hundred and fifty people, but some experts provide an
even wider range, with some estimating that it could be
as few as fifteen or as high as four hundred.
They have no idea. Yeah, they did a visual survey
by the Indian The Indian government counted only twelve men

(08:59):
and three women at the time, and.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
That'll create some fights party.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
James, Oh my gosh. They have no idea how many people.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Are we got aliens coming from outer space and we
have the North Sentinelese Sentinalese off of India. We know
where not to go and you know who not to hail.
Don't wave too much to your neighbors exactly. Yep, And
we appreciate you listening to this episode of I.
