Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode. I tell you what. All right, everybody,
get out your pens and pencils. It's time. Oh, here
we go.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Is this when we do the weekend?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
There are things going on this weekend, and there's a
little intent behind this one obviously.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hold on, I have to, like, I'm trying to do
this while also holding a blanket over myself because it's
cold in here.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
I'd like you to look at the day a little
more optimistically. I am that you're warm, You're away.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Not warm. I'm not awake.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
All right. Sorry, We're going to rate these uh festivals
for these little things going on here this weekend. There's
things going on in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Twin Cities, and
a little beyond here in the state of Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Okay, we should do like a blind ranking, which is
where you rank the things before you know what they're
all going to be, so you have to kind of
guess and do it. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
All right? So do you want to just go the
first one? Lay one out there? Ye? Sure, Okay, go ahead,
what do you rank it? It's blind?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
You have to tell you no, have those backwards?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Hell, that makes no commitment. You you read off the
first thing, and then we have to say, okay, I
think that would be number three. I got you, okay, yeah,
all right, but then the last one's like see song with.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
K We'll do it, you will do it.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
We'll do it your way, which actually sounds fun.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
We will do it your way? All right, you're ready?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
All right, Well I'm just going to start in the
regular order. Just read them the Selby Avenue Jazz Fest.
What do you rank it? Oh? Five?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Selby?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Really?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I'm Summit University neighborhood Paul, Paul. Okay, you could just say,
by the way, so you rank it? What we'll go four.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I feel like there's got to be something.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Worse, doubs. What did you rank it? Five? All right? Yeah,
bring your own instrument and join our flash band performance.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I would have made it five if I knew I
had to bring my own instrument.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Okay, Well, that's just that's the Selby Avenue Jazz Fest.
So you're committed. Now, four for you, five for for
w let's hear it, all right, they can do woofarou
what do yourank it?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Fun?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
It can do?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Can you tell me what it is? You can describe it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Don't you just want to go ahead and rank it.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
No, I want you to tell it's a.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Dog centric, family friendly event. It's going to feature a
dog costume contest, dog centric vendors, and more fundraiser with
a one mile walk.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I'll make that number two.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Okay. Remember that's a one mile walk where you're putting
a double fine, but you're pregnant. One mile could induce
where are you putting it? Three? Three? Okay, I mean it.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I put it at two.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
All right. Hometeel Strides Event, Rosslyn Park, Andy Dina. I'll
be your host. It's a walk run benefits research for
a varian cancer.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
That is such a fun event starts at eight.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
O'clock in the morning. There's a program just after. It
goes real fast and it's a lot of fun and
there's a lot of cancer survivors will varian cancer survivors.
There sadly a lot of people that are being stricken
with it right now. They're going through it, but they're
getting through it. And it raises money mostly. I think
a lot of this money really goes towards research because
this is a really undetectable form of cancer. It's kind

(03:11):
of like it's up there with the you know, everybody
hears about the pink creatic rockies and stuff. This is
just as deadly and it really affects obviously half the population,
but it affects more than that when you can't have kids,
if that's so so the case, if it's before you
have kids, and it's like, man, some of these people
are younger and younger. Some of these women are younger
and younger getting this. My mom had it, she was older.

(03:31):
Thank god, I squeaked out before that happened. But he
had that little something to do with making her life
much much less palatable in the end. So I put
that as number one.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
The energy at that event is so much fun, a lot.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Of deal, a lot of women, yeah, and a lot
of courage. It's very cool.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
It's very very cool.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
All right, Swere do you put it?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I feel like if I don't put it, I feel
like if I don't make a number one.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, I put it number one. Somebody who left the
parent from cancer. I'm all for fighting camp that's right.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I am also all for fighting cancer.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
No, you're holding off. Just be honest. Where you gonna
put it? You already got number three in four. Consume
you went on their food.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
You hold for like the Renfest?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
You wanted to do the blind thing?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Where you gonna put it?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Sam?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
You know what, I'll be one. I'll put it at three.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
What dubs? I love you, Sam? You can? You can?
You could just go home any times?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
What if you get to the Renfest? I have never
been to the ren Fest?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
What if I don't get to the ren Fest? Yeah?
What do you?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I don't know. You're gonna make up another event that
I should go to.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I'm not making anything anything these up. Nothing is being
made up right now. No. I know the Camp Ripley
open House.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Okay, that's a great event.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Uh huh ten to two tomorrow Camp Ripley Little Falls roughly.
Uh well, what have we got here? That's about an
hour and a half for so north of the Twin Cities,
and they're going to open up to the public, offer
hum vy rides, equipment, vehicles on display, shoot the cannon.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
I should have put the jazz Fest at five, because
now I only have number one and number five four,
number four, I'm gonna stick that at five because it's
open dubs.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
What number do you have opened to you have to.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Only have number one open.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Here we go you No, it's the Minnesota Twins. The
Minnesota Twins, currently sitting fourth in the American League Central.
The Twins will miss the playoffs again for the fourth
time in five seasons. But it'll be a beautiful weekend
in Minneapolis for outdoor baseball. Regardless.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't want to go to the Twins. It's gonna
be there with five people. I still believe they have
a shot.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
That is so awesome.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Dang it, got one of those tickets a dollar?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I think they pay you to be there, give you
that they break into your car and leave them. Dang it,
about fifteen bucks or a hot dog because that'll get
you about halfway through at the cost of a hot dog.
All right, nice job, guys. So I have Selby jazz
Fest at four for any of those that care. I
got the Can Do Wolfaroo at three. I've got Home

(06:19):
Till Strides at one. Where did that?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Why are you reading these is such an odd order?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
You just read four to three and one because they're mine? Okay,
this is my I'm telling you. Oh I know, but
I'm doing him in the order that I presented them
to you. Sorry, can't ripley open houses number two, and
then Minnesota Twins at home is number five? Would you
have the Twins three dubs two? Two checks out? Okay?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I would have put it a like five like to
be honest, nobody cares.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
How do you think it's on the Twins calendar?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
The Saints?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah? The okay? Is it Homer Away both?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
You gotta admit this is way funny. You're doing it
as like a blind rink.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I love it. We could just take this break and
just PLoP it in the eight o'clock today.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
So funny.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
There you got it. There you go, man, there's your
weekend plans. Makes that makes that ovarian cancer walk pretty appetizing.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
There doesn't already very appetizing.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I was just but you're sitting there holding out waiting
for some food best yeah or something? What do you do?
You get the Twins? Do you get to go downtown
watch a fourth rank team in its own division? Right? Fourth?
Out of how many? Five? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I think so either?

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah? How many? Well? Yeah? Five?

Speaker 2 (07:44):
I'd rather spend the afternoon hanging out in a dumpster.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
We don't even know how many teams are in the
division five five? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Wow? Fourth in the division. Buzza, yeah, oh they played
the diamond Back.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
You get to go downtown, whoa, Oh my gosh, parking
one of those parking rams.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
People actually get like robbed all the time.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Well especially this week, and there'll be no mass crowd
to help you.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Oh it sucks.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Hey, Rampay is my go to. They got a sky
they got a skyway entrance. You don't gotta go outside
at all.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
They'll get you in those skyways.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Catch me first.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, you walk out of there with no money at all.

Speaker 2 (08:26):

Speaker 1 (08:28):
They pay you to be there, and then you have
to pay people to park, and it's not people that
park your car. Hey, thanks for listening this episode of
