in the Country a Sport Breakfast. It's time to talk
whether or on a Friday with some very important games
of rugby across the across the moor to this coming weekend.
Joining us out of the mid service.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
John lor Morning, John Kia A good morning. Yeah, busy weekend,
no doubt.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Pretty impressed weather at the moment, Pretty high pressure continuing
over most of the country today looks good.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah, it's been one of those weeks where the forecast
on Tuesday was pretty much the same as Wednesday, Thursday,
and even for most of today. That high pressure is
sticking with us. Perhaps another day, I think for Saturday
as well. We'll keep hold of that, but things change
in time for Sunday. But yeah, high pressure to day
things generally so they settled for particularly the South Island,
a bit more annoyed of clowned.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Up north and not just settled. It's reasonably mild too
for this time of year.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
It's me across those northern parts of the country with
that warmair starting to be dragged down towards US. Nighttime
temperatures up towards place like from around about fourteen degrees
celsists over the next couple of nights, not far off
what we'll get here and went and during the day,
so you know, you can can't go far wrong with that.
It's not the same everywhere down south. We have still
got some cooler temperatures and perhaps a bit of a
frosty start through there. But I think we are going
to find the next couple of days the templary really
(01:26):
isn't a big issue for it many of this.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
So it sounds like for tonight's match in Hamilton for
the Chiefs and the Rids, it's going to be pretty nice. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
I think we've got a pretty decent looking day with
that high pressure, a bit of cloud around but staying dry,
and I think we'll find the winds pretty light as well.
A pretty decent story up towards Hamilton. We're looking at
sixteen seventeen degrees elsias, not too shabby at all.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
And actually we'll touch on it shortly into next week
for the field days, but we'll stay with super rugby
Wellington tomorrow afternoon the hurricanes are playing the rebels. How's
it looking there?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I think for us in Wednest it should be a
pretty decent Well, we've got that risk of a shower
perhaps first thing, but I think Bartami heading towards the afternoon,
even that cloud should break up a pretty decent story
in the capital again might win sporteen degrees celsius our
top temperature on Lady.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Eden Park Saturday night for the Blues and the Drawer.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
A similar kind of story. I think we'll find that
cloud started to thick and that we have got that
wetter windy weather starting to push towards us for Sunday.
But for Saturday, I think we'll just find that cloud
at increasing across Auckland. So we'll find it's a bit
of a cloudier end today, but hopefully that means it
won't be nearly as cause in fact, bar Tania walk home.
You know, the thirteen degrees sealsfifts at a nighttime minimum
(02:36):
temperature really hard push to find it much better than
that this time of year.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
You mentioned the South Island. Maybe later into the weekend
they could get some rough weather.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
I think we can find actually the wet weather runs
across US on Sunday, so windy weather runs on towards
the western coast of the South Island. It's like the
Tasman District as well, one to watch out for and
for the North Island. By the end of the day
on Sunday into Monday, we'll fin some that wet weather
runn across US, as well as some stronger winds too,
So worth keeping an eye on that week at weekend
forecast that second day ticularly and.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Then too next week. Field days kickoff on Wednesday at
Mystery Creek. How's it looking well at the moment?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
I have to say it looks like the best of weather.
Perhaps on that first day on Wednesday, looks pretty decent.
We'll find it's a fairly cloudy story, but generally staying
right there is some wet to weather's starting to run
towards US onesday Thursday Friday, so work keeping those gun
boats close to hand, but hopefully we'll find some better
weather back with us in time. Ver say Saturday, that
final day, take the.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Take the umbrella and rainco just today.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Definitely definitely, but you're still plan to do even if
it were if it's wet.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Is absolutely absolute John. Always good to catch up mate,
Have a great weekend next week. John or from the
mid Service joining us here on the Country Sport Breakfast
