Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, they call the area with all the food and
the drink the pantry at Field Days, and you just
come inside the door and there's one stand that caught
my eye. Williams warn and I think William Kulper joins me.
This is all about beer. Tell us about your beer.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, so beer, cider mead. Essentially, we've developed this brewing hardware,
designed it ourselves that allows anyone at home with absolutely
no borrowing experience to produce world class beer with very
very minimal efforts. So the whole process from start to
finish is only taking us seven days, about twenty to
thirty minutes worth of work across those seven days, and

(00:37):
then you've got the ability to put it all on taps,
so there's no requirement for bottling, much like the sort
of more traditional brewing methods that you might have seen
around the place. And we're sort of all about quality,
so all of our beer is commercial quality. We've got bars, pubs,
restaurants across the country that brewing their own beer on site,

(00:57):
serving it under their own brand name, and you can
produce that same quality beer at home.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I was just offered a little lager as well, which
is very very tasty or off and I have a
lagger at this time of day, but very very nice.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
It's got to be five o'clock somewhere, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah? Absolutely absolutely? So how many different beers do you have?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So we've got Thurstein base kits and we've sort of
positioned those kits so that you can modify them and
essentially recreate any bear style in the world. So you
think everything from a really light, pale summer ail all
the way through to a nice dark stout and then
essentially anything in between.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So what do you get when you purchase the kit? Okay,
we're going to come to Williams and Warn and get
the beer kit. What do you get?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yep? So we've sort of got two different levels that
you can get into it. We've got what we call
the starter pack now that gets you the keg and
all the sort of little bits and pieces that you
need to get up and running. Looking at about one
thousand dollars for that with the field Day specials that
were running. If you want to take it to that
next level, We've got what we call the kegaradder, which
is essentially a fridge with taps that's specifically designed to

(01:56):
put kegs inside and then so we sell a few
different of those depending on the size and combination of
the brewing kegs that you get, and you're looking anywhere
between two seven and three three for those.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
But I think if you worked it out, if you
had a few beers with your mates once a week,
and soon pay for itself.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
With pretty quickly. We've done the numbers on those, and
once you've got the hardware, the ingredients are working out
the equivalent of a dollar per study, So you think
going down to the boo store paying twelve bucks a
does not You can't just can't do that these days.
So yeah, it's suddainly a much more cost effective way
of getting your alcohol and beer and whatnot. And most

(02:33):
people find we've done the numbers, pay it off within
sort of twelve to eighteen months depending on how much joke.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
And this you can keep just updating the supplies when
you purchased from your guys, You just update whatever you need.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yep. Absolutely so it's just a case of doing an
order online. We do free freight on orders over one
hundred and fifty dollars to help those sort of out
in the regions and whatnot, And most people just do
a couple of months worth of stocking up, turns up
at the door that night, they'll put a brew down
in a week later, they've got beer coming through the taps.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Absolutely, it's having the tub full of bottles that you've
cleaned out and everything else that goes with it when
you're doing homebrew exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I'm sure everyone's got that story of an old uncle
or grandad with exploding bottles in the ceiling and bottles
in the hot water cupboard and some beer coming through
pretty well, and then some beers probably not coming through
so well. So our whole ethos, the whole reason we
sort of came about was to try and solve that
problem that people have got with homebrowing and make it
an accessible hobby that anyone can do with good results.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Have you gone up against other beers and competitions, awards
and things.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Like that, Yep, yep. Funnily enough, Back when we first
launched in twenty twelve, we had a brewer by the
name of Santiago. He had never done a single day
of homebrewing before in his life, never never made a beer.
On his third brow. He thought it was pretty good,
so they sent a few bottles away to what was
at the time the Asia Bear Awards. They were sort
of one of the biggest international borrowing competitions in the world.

(03:52):
He won Best Pilsner in the World really forty five
of the world's biggest breweries. He was the first ever
homebrewer to win international Beer Tasting medal. This was from
a guy who knew absolutely nothing about.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Making beer, using your product, using our product. Love it
all right, we'll come and say loo to will you
and the Willy and the team at their at their
stand in the in the pantry.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Good work mate, Really not looking for top chest
