Yeah, very well. How's the weather and Crost Church today?

Ah? Yeah, it's pretty pretty fresh. I think we're in
somewhere in the early teens though I think the forecast
has been a little bit foggy the last couple of days.
I was lucky to get home after my commentary duties
up north with the Olympic crew. That was a great,
great time, but it's slowly starting to turn from winter

to spring.

Yeah great, all right, So are you going to get
a live golf event in chrost Church? What's the story?

Yeah?

This is fascinating, isn't it? So? The report and the
hero this morning, it's a great work. They're done by
Mike Thorpe. That is certainly rumors or the rumor mills
and overdrive. After a few live employees have been to
christ Church Golf Club to sort of suss it out
as a venu. Of course, live here are not here

in New Zealand, but in this part of the world.
In Adelaide, earlier this year. It's certainly a league that's
on the rise in terms of its popularity and the
money obviously they're able to offer to players on the tour.
But yeah, so there's an all likelihood by what has
been reported that come as early as twenty twenty five
could be January twenty twenty five that a live event

as hell here in christ Church. Now that has not
gone down well with one of our greatest in subob
Charles of course is a patron of the christ Church
Golf Club as well as clear order for the afield
just north of christ Church. But he doesn't want anything
to do with it. He thinks live, as a lot
of people do, is has been very disruptive to the

golfing landscape. Doesn't like as we're all aware in sporting
circles that the Saudi involvement and the likes. So it's
going to be one that Yeah, it's got a lot
of legs should we say that BK certainly not a
done deal. We've got authorities sort of tourism in Economic
Development Agency here christ Chitchin's. They don't want to comment

at this point. So there's a lot of a lot
to go through here. But look, I don't know how
you feel, but particularly I've probably come around a little
bit to live it's here now, it exists, PGA, the
PGA Tour in the last few months. You know, they're
at a bit of an impasse at the moment, but
they're actually trying to unite forces eventually. I think it's

just something that we have to grapple with this sort
of yeah, that's right, And you know, we could go
through a whole list of different professional sports as to
where does the money come from? You know, it's like
when Joseph Parker, for example, fights in Saudi Arabia, are
we all of a sudden not paying attention or tuning
in or we celebrating his success? So I don't know,

I've probably I've done a bit of a turnover over
the last year or so about it all. But look,
if it's here in christ of course we lost we
lost sal GPS. In a way that's kind of opened up.
I guess this avenue of christ Church as the second
biggest city looking at bringing another big player in And
if it's live, then I'm sure there'll be people who
are for it. Like some things that you know, if

you like cold play. You'll go to cold play. If
you don't like cold play, stay at home. So let's
wait and see.

Good call, good call. You can't turn these events down,
that's for sure. And what's going on very quickly with
the Tactics. The doors open, a lot of leaving not
coming in, that's all right. The departure lounges is filling up.

It's now five players from the team that made it
to an elimination final in the AMZ Premiership not returning,
including the captain kmi or a Poise. She's already signed
with the Southern Steel for twenty twenty five, as says
Elijah Dunn, who is from Southland, so it wasn't too
much of a surprise to see her head home. Look,
I had the opportunity to catch up with the Tactics
new head coach Donna Wilkins Donalda Fagan. She's probably more

well known from back in the day and Netbourne Basket
will sit circles and she admitted, you know you want
continuity coming in, you want to keep pieces. But they're
also excited about some of the moves they've been making
behind the scenes and looking forward to making some announcements
of their own starting next week, so watch the space.
It is a lot of turnover though, when you think
BK compared to say a rugby team or the Worries.

For example, when you've got thirty contracted players and a
super rugby team in the Ains Premiership, it's ten plus
you know some training partners, so to have five go
that's half your team. It is interesting. So it will
be interesting to see how Donald Wilkins, who's moving up
from Southland to christ Church at the start of next year,

gets on with assembling what's going to be a very
different looking tactics team.
