in their history, beating holders Hawk's Bay on Saturday Night

a lot of the people at the airport there waiting
for us to land, and then we went up the
main street and yeah, I had a bit of a

thing up there, and just seeing the community out there
all getting behind it, and yeah, seeing how much it
means to them, boody awesome. So it was so cool
for us to be able to bring that back in.

It's nice to know that the ren fetish shields still
means something to regions, like you know, Nelson, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, it's it's I guess that's my old older generation
that that was the big pednacle of New Zealand rugby
back in the day.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
So I think for those guys it's pretty cool for them,
especially being able to bring it back to Nelson where
they haven't really alfon from Marble, they haven't really seen
it too much. So yeah, it's pretty pretty cool to
be able to bring it back for those guys.

In a way, it was a game of two halves
in a way, really halftime, you know you weren't quite there,
did you think, hey, we can get up and win
this still.

Yeah, we had a really good first half, but we
knew Hawks player they're never gonna you know, roll over.
We knew they'd come back fighting and they did, and yeah,
I guess we managed to hang on in the end.

Yeah, it was it was a bloody close game.

So for a team that's already succeeded in winning the
NPC back back to back twenty nineteen twenty twenty, kind
of like icing on the cake for Tasman, isn't it.

Yeah, I guess it's the sort of laugh thing to
take off of the Union to say, again, I guess
the Union's done it all, but it's quite bizarre winning
it because I guess we're still half way through the season.
So yeah, we celebrated winning it and all that, and
it was really awesome, but come on, come back in
on Tuesday, and yeah, we still have the for a season,

like I said, so we've got another game to focus
on on Sunday as well.

So what was going through your mind? And Campbell part
at basically had that kick near halfway right at the
end of the game. What did you think?

Yeah, credit to him, man, he just stepped up. He
was confident.

Yeah, I've got the distant we've never shot. I actually
thought it was going to have the post. The whole
sprinting after it and he sort of he sort of
pulled it away bit and it was heading back, but
it was keading straight for the post, so I was
printed up field after it and then it's sort of
just just knucking. So yeah, it was pretty awesome.

And it really, as you mentioned, you can't really party
too much really because you know, we're only halfway through
the NPC season, aren't we, And you've got a shield
challenge coming up on what in the next round against Wellington.

Yes, and lybias Wellington, which yeah, will be a really
toughy home. They're obviously tracking really well from the undefeated
as well, So yeah, we obviously celebrated and getting around
the community and all that, but when we come back
to for they and we know we've got to focus
and you get right for a big game this week
in testing.

Talk about big games. You've been in the All Black
squad in the past. What did you make of the
All Black result against the spring Box? Did you watch
that game? Yeah?

What's parts of it? Yeah? Yeah, tough one for the boys.
Feeling for them, Yeah, I know they bounced back, they
always do, and they've got some good young guys coming
through that. It's just an all good experience for them,
so they definitely bounce back.

They're a hard team to beat the box when they're
in formed like they are at the moment, are they.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
That's right, Yeah, tough team to beat, specially over there. Yeah.
