The Country Sport Breakfast with Brian Kelly on Gold Sport Everywhere.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Wether he's seventeen here on the Country Sport Breakfast met Services.
Lewis Ferris joins this morning.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Lewis, good morning, how we're doing very well?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Thank you. There's a whole bunch of fronts affecting western
regions of both islands at the moment. What's going on
with the weather?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
I mean it is just a continuation of what we've
seen over the last weeks, maybe even months, just very
fast progression of weather systems moving in from the west.
And we see it today, we say it tomorrow, we
set it through until next week. But there is a
little glimmer of hope as we get towards the next
weekend maybe some high pressure move but it's a little
bit of water to pass under the bridge before we
get to there.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Well tonight in Napier, Hawk's Bay Play Taranaki, So what's
the weather going to be like there at McLean Park.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Well, it could be all right. There is again these
rain man's moving over the nor faring today, but they
are coming across from the west. That typically means Napier
will remain dry. There could be some showers around this
afternoon this evening if you're heading along to the game,
I reckon it's just worth packing that range Jackie jas
in case throughout some lingering ones. But we're going for
a high twenty one degrees there today, so even in
the evening it's still going to be relatively warm or

(01:17):
westerly wind will be hanging on.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
They're not too strong up in Northland on Saturday afternoon
they're playing North Harbor. So what's going to be like
in Fangaday.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Coming to Saturday. It does look like most of the
rain that's due today will be clearing away. There will
just be a little bit of a sort of west
northwest wind, but it does look like it will remain
mostly dry. There's just a little odd chance of a
shower drifting across fung today, but I think most of
the time it looks like it will remain right.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Both myself and producer Mark, we've got a lot of
interest in the Wellington match. Bay of plentye Steamers playing
Wellington Saturday afternoon. How's that shaping up? Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Actually looks like it could be a pretty good day
for Wellington. We will have northerly winds packing up, but
it does. It should remain dry there through the afternoon.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
And a Sunday afternoon, there's a triple header in Auckland
at Eden Park, including there's a Heartland match too South Canterbury.
You're coming up to play Company hot Offinua at Eden Park.
How's that going to be? How's the weather there?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Oh? That is when our next showery band of rain
does to move over current timing, I wouldn't be able
to nail it down. I think keeping eye on the
forecast of that one. That doesn't look like it would
be widespread persistent rain, but there could just be that
chance of a shower moving over, So I would keeping
on the forecast. That could be worth getting the rain
jacket out. Isn't already? I mean there's been rain around Auckland,

(02:40):
so people should have.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
It handy absolutely. Now it's been a fabulous week. I
believe in Sydney they had a temperature used they around
twenty seven twenty eight degrees tomorrow. What's the weather going
to be like in Sydney.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
And so I can go for the game. It's going
for high around that twenty four to twenty five wins westerly,
not overly strong, but it will be I think it
will be present during the game, but I don't think
it'll be sunk. They'll have to fight against too much.
But yeah, clear conditions warm, so it might be a
change for them. I mean, I would like it to
be twenty seven degrees around here, but we're gonna have

(03:12):
to wait away while before we see those temperatures.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yea, I see Sydney's heading about twenty four degrees today. Well,
that big high that's around sort of Sydney. Will that
move across the Tasman for next week? For us?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Oh? If only it does look like we get at
least the North Oland gets a sort of glancing a
bit of that high pressure as we move through into
around the middle of next week. But we're having these
weather systems moving and out of the Southern Ocean, so
they've got a bit more of a southwest stilt to them,
so they kind of skirt around that high It does
mean that the weather system isn't as intense as it

(03:43):
could be, but it does mean that we're going to
see some cooler air moving in around Tuesday next week.
But before then, over the weekend, we have pretty well
predominant westerly winds which is going to mean warmer temperatures
in those eastern parts of both the North and the
South aren't nice.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Great to catch up, have a great weekend mate well
