proud partners of Provincial Rugby on iHeartRadio and gold Sport.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Well coach of the may plenty s team is Richard?
What the final training session it's all over? It does
it feel like a little bit of a weight off
your shoulders?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Now off my shoulders? Just feel enjoying this week. You
know when you lose series and quarters over the years
and you always have to change your remember this feeling,
you know, I said him this morning to remember that feeling.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
So it's pretty good. It is a pretty good feeling.
You know you're going to the Grand Final, so I.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Just remember what how could this week feels like? So
we come back and be hungry to do it again.
So I think boys on goodnock.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
It's been a tough season in a way.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You've lost some key players havening you through injury in
just more recently the most recent justin Sangster.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Yeah, it's like he took the hip for everyone because
he's got a busted legs, broken end. But he's really
of the playing group throughout the year because obviously we
lost Chaddy Monachy in Vivinni they're there from the start.
Was shaping at the door for some other guys. But
he's the only top one of the top players that's

(01:13):
it's out for the So you'd say that we're Britlliant,
look are because one guy he's been playing for us.
But such a different from drop last week.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
So you sat down, you've looked at the Wellington game
against the way Canna. You know what you have to
do to win. There's just normal points.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
That's interesting though, because we've been training in this beautiful
weather all week and you have a look what it's
meant to be forecast for down there might be a
weather dump. So we'll just have to wait through you
down there and see what the weather's doing for star guys.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Just a few things about now.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
We got two parts of the game.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Are they?

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah, I wanted to know a lot the Hurricanes make
that good skills all off load and so yeah, I
was just going to make sure the defensive games on
the money.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Where there's a great leveler in a way, really, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Well you could have said that against Tasman and it wasn't.
We don't know us terrains right, Yeah, excuses made its
one about I just said, n excuses, you.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Know, yeah, we'll bring it on all the best.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, thanks, I appreciate it, so could that's at the
final final practice out as it feel before the Grand.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
Final, honestly, for real Saturday, coming out this morning, we
had install and I'm just knowing that it's all kind
of comes to a close. You know, it's but as
sweet really. You know, we're in the final and that's awesome.
It'd be great if we could win it, but it's
sad that it's coming to an end.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Here.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
At the beginning of the season was the feeling, hey,
we could make the final, we could be there.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
I think you're always got to have belief within the team,
and you know, we've had a good core group that
players together now for the last few years, so I
had a bit of confidence coming in.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
But I think it's probably halfway.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Through the season that we really found that belief within
ours and we've seen it in a few of our
performances have been pretty good to some of our best
footy that we've played for the Steamers.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
Over the last few years. So it's definitely have their belief.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Now, how about last weekend's game in front of a
massive crowd of the domain.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Did that lift you? Oh?

Speaker 6 (03:15):
Es, yeah, it was massive, man, especially playing in front
of our friends and family. You know, we're bummed out
they couldn't get the home final it, but you know,
like we've still got one more game left than us
and hopefully we could keep doing them proud to all
the supporters have been turning.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Out for us.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I imagine after that game, sitting down and watching the
video or watching live the Wellington White Kado game, he
would have been wishing white cattlew on oh big time.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was it's high case.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
Me and the missus were at home who stay home
after the footy, and I could to speak to for
about twenty minutes all the game is over, So you know,
it's the way it's unfolded. But you know, whether we
play here or Wellington, you know, the boys that get
up for.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
It, you would have studied the Wellington game pretty closely.
What do you have to do to beat them?

Speaker 6 (03:58):
Oh, they've got some pretty good barcare and some good
men around the breakdown, so you know we've got to
go through them for our thoughts first made. It's the
same old thing, you know, stick to the basics. Play
simple style of footy and you know we need our
thoughts to have a big game. And then we've got
the baxicles score trial from anywhere, so you know I've
got a good balance and find that balance out there'll
be right.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
And then after that you're off to the Northern Hemisphere,
aren't you.

Speaker 6 (04:21):
Yeah, Sunday ten o'clock, so it'll be an interesting fly
as long as I make happy days.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Fantastic And was reading somewhere about your pre match sort
of thing that you do.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
You've got three songs you'll listen to and so on.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
So what are they best?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
They ever from Mackamuller, feel the love, rudimental and internal
from Sepshift and.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
It inspires you.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah it does.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Yeah, fantastic. Well, good luck on Saturday they.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Are pretty Captain kurkch Eckland along with their coach fantastic,
which is the best of luck.

Speaker 4 (04:53):

Speaker 2 (04:54):
