Today in history. Welcome to our day in history here
on gold Sport. This is the Country Sport Breakfast. It
is the seventh of November, only eight days until Christmas Day.
And remembering Bones Hillman, best known as the bass guitarist
for the Aussie band Midnight Oil. It was this day

four years ago that he died from cancer at the
age of sixty two. Great band. We also remember legendary
Canadian songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen. In twenty sixteen, he
passed away at the age of eighty two at his
home in Los Angeles. I guess one of his more
poignant songs was this song Alleluju pretty amazing song really Today.

In nineteen thirty one, the very first broadcast to schools
by the Correspondent School in New Zealand was made and
the broadcast for first talks by school team and they
became more closely integrated the school courses and later became
lessons in themselves and benefited a lot of rural children.
They came to an end. I thinking about the mid seventies.

He all began broadcaster schools nineteen thirty one. Right to
the famous people having birthdays today and it's the legendary
Johnny Rivers' birthday. Mitchell had a whole bunch of popular
hits through the sixties and seventies. He turns eighty two today,

and founding member of the band Kiss. Today. I want
to give it all to you. He turned sixty for today,
Tommy Thayer. Oh, can't forget Joni Mitchell, can we? Happy

and lead vocalist for that band, Charlene SPATERI. Happy birthday
to Charlene she turns. How old is she? She is

out of Australia, Mark philippousis professional tennis player, our tennis coach.
Happy birthday to Mark philipposas he is forty eight today.
And New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer James Franklin.
