seven days till the end of the year. We're opening
with a track from Queen off their Night at the
Opera album. It was today, in nineteen seventy.

Five that the album was released. It was reportedly the
most expensive.

Album ever recorded at the time of release, cost around
one hundred and sixty thousand dollars to make at that time,
and contained some amazing tracks like this one, Sweet Lady,
Bohemian Rhapsody, just to name a couple. Night at the
Opera great album all right. Also happened on this day.

A couple of royals got married. Princess Anne married Captain
Mark Phillips at a televised wedding at Westminster Abbie today
in nineteen seventy three, watched by five hundred million people
around the world. Unfortunately that marriage did not last alrighty
famous people having birthdays today, really short but sweetless today

and topping the list is a member of the band Sticks,
James Vincent Young, one of the founding members of that band,
play guitar on the band as well. Happy birthday to
James Young today he turns seventy five. And a couple

of famous sportspeople having birthdays today. Adam Gilchrist, former international
cricket for Australia, now cricket commentator for a good wicket keeper.

He's fifty three.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Today and he played for the Highlanders and also for
the All Blacks as well. Tight Heed prop Carl Hayman,
Happy birthday Carl.

He is forty five today.

As I said, short but sweet list of famous people
birthday today. That is our day in history here on

Well I should also mention it's his Royal Highness King
Charles the Third's seventy sixth birthday today, born Charles Philip
Arthur George Windsor seventy.
