Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Country Sport Breakfast with Brian Kelly on Gold.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Sport Everywhere, age.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Seventeen Here on the Country Sport Breakfast. Well, we're we
around the country this morning, not looking that crash shot.
I know in Wellington where Lewis Ferris is at the
mid service, it's not very nice.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Lewis is it No, absolutely sort of pea soup out there,
very warm, very humid. But it's also bringing that rain
and that's probably going to be the true story for
most of the North Island today. If they're not already
seeing rain, there's likely some on their way. And all
that warm, humid ear that we've been dealing with over
the last couple of days, that's really coming to the
end today. And as we through the weekend we see
(00:46):
some colder air come up from the South.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I was speaking to one of my correspondents in Gore
this morning and he said, it's raining down south, but
I see there's a big high off the bottom of
the South Island. So I guess the weather is going
to improve in the South.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, that is the idea. So for the South Id
they're going to start seeing that where they get a
little bit better. As we head into Saturday, but it's
really on Sunday that we have the high pressure moves
over the entirety of the country. It's not going to
be perfectly sunny for all places, but it is going
to be more settled than what we're seeing stand tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Canibry Anniversary day to day? Is it nice for show
day down there?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well, they've got a good amount of cloud cover at
the moment and there is some rain creeping their way
from the south. They might be lucky today and it
might stay away, but it does look like it will
be hanging around through Saturday, through the first half of
the day and maybe just a little bit into the afternoon.
They might get lucky, get some bright styles and the
evening on Saturday, Saturday, it does look like Sunday is
(01:44):
a better day that I understand. The show isn't on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
No, you did right there. That's the way the cookie
crumbles for the North Island for the weekend. Whether improving though.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yes, yep, that's the idea. So this rain vand will
mainly pass over today and as we head into Saturday,
that's then the southerlys and moves through. It's going to
bring in some colder air, some showers. Not going to
be a crash hot day for Wellington on Saturday. Those
so LEAs will bring some rain to those eastern parts.
Hawksbury knows pretty desperate for some rain. It's not looking
like huge amounts, so it's not going to be super
(02:15):
duper helpful for the soils, but at least it will
be something, Whereas through most of November they basically had nothing.
So cooler and maybe cloudy, a bit wet on Saturday,
but Sunday looks like most places will see some nicer weather.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And I don't know whether you can look into your
crystal ball across the ditch. In Australia, how's Adelaide looking
for the weekend for the final of the Supercars.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Oh, it's a real change. So Saturday they've got northerly,
it's going to be bloom and hat maybe hit thirty
five degrees around Adelaide. And then on overnight into Sunday
they have a wee band of rain move in from
the west and bring in some much cooler air, so
it might be some rain overnight. Could looks like it's
players in the morning, but they're going for a hive
around seventeen degrees on Sunday, so definitely two different days there.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yeah, absolutely alrighty mate. Well then jo your weekend in
Wellington and we'll talk again next week.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Already gets you in.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
That's Lewis Ferriss from the Met Service with an update
of weather you So just a little bit of a
damp one today if you happen to be going out
and about, take it easy out there.
