Do you feel as though the intense intensiveness has sort
of stepped up a bitter You had England, which was
pretty tough game then I and now you're in France.
You feel a bit more intensive there?

Yeah, Look, you know we've had a couple of tough
games and it's not going to get him easier this
weekend Yeah, it's decally going to be intense, and you
know that the French are real physical and they've got
a big pack and you know the fantasist love getting
stuck in and look, we're building real nicely for this
weekend and I'm sure being a cracker.

Is it a different feeling in France to say, being
in the UK or an Ireland.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
To be fair, it's not really different. We're quite lucky
that we're here last year for the for the World Cup,
so we kind of have a feel on what France
is going to be like. And yeah, we just know
that it's going to be a massive game for us,
and you know we're trying to get free games in
the row and it's a preferct opportunity this weekend.

Do you like playing in France? Do you enjoy the
matches over there?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah? They do the stuff different here and uh they
you know because off there nine o'clock at night and
you know the body clock's not really ready to go
at that time. But you know, the boys are the
boys have been prepping well this week and yeah, we
love we love playing here in France and you know,
there's a lot of support and a lot of New

Zealanders heres here as well, and yeah, we just want it.

You would have you would have watched the film of
France smashing Japan last weekend. What are the frenks doing
well that you'll have to watch out for.

We know that they love to attack the breakdown and
you know they love running through you know, our first
couple of defenders around their breakdown, So that's something they
would be working hard on this week. And we know
that the ponts uh they go to man and you
know what, we've kind of figured out ways and how
to stop them and I don't want to give too

many sisters out so far, you know, Yeah, that's pretty
much there go through guy too. Yeah, yeah, we've got

You can play at either Lock or Lucy. Which position
do you prefer? Uh?

Well, come, they've opened up a France. I was playing
at Swiss and this weekend I'm playing at Lock. But
I'm just glad to be playing at Lost this weekend,
you know, being able to besides scooters with something specially,
and you know their partnership is you know, building quite nicely.

And yeah, obviously prefer playing at Lot, not too much
noise around around playing.

Yeah, stepping into big shoes. I mean Sam White, Lock
and Brody were tallic played two hundred and sixty two
tests for New Zealand, breaking the record for the most
capped second row pairing in international rugby. So now it's
you and Scott Barrett taking up the pairing. What's Scott
liked to lock with?

Oh, you know, he's pretty much the terminated of our team,
and I think I've got a massive engine and I'm
just trying to match him. And uh, you know, he's
he's got a good leadership, leadership style and he's the
guy that just you know, hit down, follow through and
just works hard. And you know, here's the inspiration for

So yeah, and you've played at Twickenham, you've played at
a Viva Stadium, and now of course stayed to France,
three of the great stadiums. And in World Sport, talk
us through what the atmosphere is like playing at those grounds,

The fans just love to get stuck in and I'll
get the real buzzle when they sing the anthems. What's
the called. Yeah, they're all pretty much made rugby fans
and there's a lot noise. There's times where you can't
even hear the god besides your So it's something different

there we're experiencing from back at home. But you love it.

Yeah, you'll be used to the noise because your family
are very vocal when it comes to supporting you playing,
aren't they made?

Yeah it's pretty noisy on this island, but you know what,
wouldn't change anything for it?

So do Post's been a hell of a long season.
We've got France this weekend, then it's Italy, Then it's
time is it to put the feet up? Because I
mean you've been going since about February, isn't It's been
a long season. How are you feeling?

Uh? Yeah, it has been a long season. And I
know it did any this weekend in this week, but
I'm telling you not to look too far. I'm just
trying to take you a week by week. But yeah,
the body stifferently took a toll. But you know, I'll
enjoy my summer and enjoy my family time when I Yeah,

The northern tour, who have you been rooming with? Mate?
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I believe it or not. The last few weeks of
rumors of walks the cities. I've got to know even better.
You know, we're being teammates in the chiefs and uh
you know, but also to see how he prepares this
week and that sort of stuff. And he's been performing
well for us the lasts h few weeks and I

think I need to take a better credit for that. Yeah,
he's been my roommate the last few weeks.

Do you have any special pre match sort of thing
that you go through. I mean, you've got the headphones on.
What are you listening to to inspire you to be fair?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
It's h it's a lot of gospel music before I
get to the stadium and then as we slowly are
prepared come out for warm up. But dn B and
yes like to look at the pet gets the energy
and the suddenly was rising before I run out.
