Speaker 2 (00:07):
God just popped another Zelman's I'm Ready for another hour
here on KFI AM six forty. We're live everywhere on
the iHeartRadio app. I'm Andy Reismeyer. We've got, like I said,
fifty five glorious minutes fifty six and then you had
the commercials and the runner time. It's really more like
twelve minutes, but we'll make it fun once again. Joined
(00:27):
by Heather Brooker here in studio, Entertainment reporter extraordinaire for KFI.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Hello, thanks for being with us.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Are you getting hyped for your show at the Ice
House on Thursday?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
So hyped?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Let's get hype, get hype? Said, there used to be
a person who hosted the show and she would come
on and.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Go, yeah, hi good, Hi good, yea yeah, I love that.
How do you not?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I'm getting hype when you I gotta stand you know,
I gotta like stand up and do the show from
venture out. Also, I know that we were talking last
night with one I on the Dodger game. Did you
watch it when you got home?
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I listened to it on the way home.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
KLAC AM five seventy that's right.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
And yes I did. It was a great game, amazing game.
But after a while I had to go to sleep.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
It was just very tiring. Yes, did you stay up
and watch the whole thing?
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:09):
I did.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Okay, wow, you're a trooper.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I was fine. It was fine. It wasn't a big deal.
We were all we were all better for it. I
had had a bunch of coffee, so it wasn't like
I was going to bed anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
But it was a historic game. It was a historic game.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
And then I feel sad now because what what also
a sort of quick wrap up to a disappointing evening,
but the series tied to two going into Game five
tomorrow night here at Dodger Stadium, and I have I
have the night off, so I might go go. No,
I can't afford to go.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
You got that KTLA money?
Speaker 6 (01:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Okay? Sorry?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Have you not looked at the state of affairs for
local media lately?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
All the media all around? Yep, we always say so.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Glenn Walker always goes you know Glenn Walker's name or
Katla you used to work again?
Speaker 7 (01:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, yeah, so you've you've spent We used to.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Call it the one o'clocker with Glenn Walker and now
it's still.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, well because now it's the eleven, the one, the three,
all of them, the noon, all the clockers with Glenn
Walker's yes and Lou Parker.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
But he would always say, you know, because we talk
about the Golden era and these guys back like the
hal Fishman era. Yeah, when they were making not kidding you,
millions of dollars a year the late Yes, the local
news people in like the eighties, the seventies, eighties, and
the nineties were making multiple millions of dollars a year
(02:27):
to do with their jobs. They were legendary. And remember
that era, money wasn't the same that it is now. Yeah,
Like a big nice house cost like I don't know,
seven bus twenty five dollars.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
That's a really nice one.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
I've heard in Beeverly Hills, Breach it was just twenty
five bucks to have a mansion.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (02:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
The sweet spot is the weatherman though, the weatherman in
California it is. It's something in seventies. Sometimes we give
a little rain, you.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Would think, and Glenn always will say, I'm in the
ten years too late club. So for me, I'm in
the twenty four years too late.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Club.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Uh, weather is fun. I do weather sometimes not well, yeah,
and not when it's important. But it's a strange thing
because if you like to do what we do, which
is like talk, sure you can't you're doing that, but
you have to talk about things, which I tend to
find kind of boring most of the time.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
It's very science y. You have to enjoy the science
and the numbers.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yeah, and anybody who like Vera Jimenez great at it.
She's that person. She's a total science, total scientist when
it comes to the weather. But I think that the
fact that it's mostly all the same in seventy two
and Sonny all the time, it's not like what am
I there's a challenge.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
You want to be in the hurricanes, you want to
be in the Yes.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Send me it, put me in coach.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Yeah, No, I don't drop me in one of those
those helicopters flying through the storm.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I do.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
You're from the Midwest originally too, right, Okay, so I'm
from Oklahoma, and when I.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Was where the wind comes racing down, the plane, sweeping down,
sweeping excuse me, we used to have to.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Do as reporters there. We used to have to do
tornado drills with our photographers. Oh Man, our news director
would put like an assignment in the glove box and
during drill days and we wouldn't know where we were
going for our run throughs until we went out to
the car.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
We saw where we were going.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
We have to go north of town where there's been
some drowned t trees and power lines, south of town
where there's been a signing of a funnel cloud. And
we had to practice positioning ourselves to be safe in chase,
doing live run throughs and all of that. Yeah, because
it's a very dangerous and active situation when you're in
a live tornado.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
And people don't know this in southern California because they
don't really do tornado drills here.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
We do have a very rarely. It's a weird phenomena.
We do have earthquake take. Yeah, but with the tornado.
If you're out in the world and there's a tornado,
do you remember what you're supposed to do? You lay
in a ditch. Yeah, They're like just look, it's like.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
No, I am out running.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Haven't you seen them. I'm not gonna lay in a ditch.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
I'm gonna find a truck and we're driving.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Truly what they tell you.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
They're like on the news, they're saying, well, you know,
if the tornado comes, make sure you find a ditch, or.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
They'll say get under an overpass.
Speaker 9 (04:59):
Right.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I'm like, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
That seems a little more sensible than just if it's
no overpass. I think it's laying a ditch so that
it's easier to sort of, you know, deal with you
after the storm blows through.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Wild And that is a wild tip, I know. I
remember the use layanda ditch. Bizarre.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
All right, Well, let's talk about some entertainment news. Sure,
the axe is about to swing. How's that for a
local news cliche for you. Paramount sky Dance is going
to be laying off a thousand people tomorrow, according to
a person familiar with the company's plans. A second round
will be expected later. The person was asked not to
be identified for discussing private information.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Go figure. Yeah, and the.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Number of expected layoffs is probably going to total around
two thousand. And they always do this right before the holidays,
right before the holidays.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, they the initial number I heard was a thousand,
and I'm sad to hear that it's gone up to
about two thousand.
Speaker 10 (05:56):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
I mean, imagine not knowing the next day if you're
going to Why do they release this information ahead of
time like that? Talk about anxiety, Like you don't want
to know if you're working there, Should I go in tomorrow?
Should I answer my phone? You know, it's just a
very stressful I've been laid off before in my in
my line of work, as you have probably well, and
it's a really stressful time. But I feel like we
(06:20):
as journalists and as people in the media, you know,
will bounce back and use our skills in other ways.
So yeah, that's just it's My heart goes out to
anybody who is losing their job, especially right now. And
there's a lot happening with Paramount. They can't decide what
they're going to do. Do we want to be sold
or not? Paramount with Warner Brothers Discovery, do we want
to be sold? Do we not want to be sold?
Well now me well. Paramount says that they plan to
(06:45):
keep Warner Brothers intact if the two companies merge. CEO
David Ellison says he's going to retain the creative teams
at both studios, which would be remarkable if that happened.
And Gona they're going to streamline marketing and distribution. This
is a Bloomberg report that came out, so that'll be
interesting to see. That would be quite a feat. They're
going to merge also HBO Max with Paramount Plus's platform,
(07:08):
so we'll see. I don't really think they know what's
going on yet. There's still a lot to be ironed out,
and that's it.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
It's almost like there's gonna be just one.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Company, one big company.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And it's gonna be David Ellison's company. Yeah. I mean,
when you have that kind of money, you pretty much
can buy everything.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I know that the traditional media model is tough, especially
you know this is no secret over the Internet has
changed everything. Media companies in the large portfolio of these
big companies are generally lost leaders and a lot of
times I think, and I don't think this is necessarily
this situation with David Ellison. He seems to like really
want to be involved in things and have these but
a lot of times it feels like maybe it's a
little bit of a vanity project for a billionaire, Oh.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
For sure, and a little something fun on the side,
because it's probably not going to make money.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
But I own an entire network. Look at Acasian studios
and films and.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
We were where we talked about this last night. When
I was a kid, I like, I got into news
because my parents paid attention to the news. And I
think that that's why I ended up doing it. And
you're like, I want to be as a child they
paid attention. Yeah, so now I'll look at that and say, oh,
I'm going to buy that. So it's like, maybe it's
the same thing for a billionaire.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Maybe, right.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
His father really loved the news, so his version. My
version was like working local news makes upon myself. Buy it,
buy it, own it.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
I want to have own it money somehow.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
I don't think it's going to happen at the CAF.
It's I just it's not. Maybe we're just sojourners. Yeah,
that's a good way to put it. We're so positive.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Way to we're not. It's not we're not in this
for the money. No, maybe just the glory, the fame,
the twenty four years too Late club. Yes, and they're
coming out we're talking about more.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yes, we got to tease everybody, tell us tell them
what they can call in. That's right, go ahead, No,
you said almost a call in? Hit that talkback button
because we are going to be talking about the top
fifty movies of all time. I know Mark Ronner is
going to weigh in on this too. He is a
movie genius. There is a new study released or whatever
(09:13):
that says ranked the top fifty movies of all time,
and I want to hear from everybody who's listening. Hit
the talkback button. Tell us what you think is going
to be on the list, and what you think will
be in the top of the top of that lie.
Speaker 2 (09:23):

not open yet, but they'll be open in a second.
Maybe maybe they will Mabe Usually when I say that,
they open up. But I think that our guys are
doing something else right now. But yeah, the talkback app.
You can do it that way or message me on
Instagram at Andy ktla. Checking in with Mark Ronner, the

in low end.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Apartment tomorrow and more. I'll tell you what it did.
You're not gonna be happy with it.
Speaker 15 (16:09):
It's conwich im mark for PIMF.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
I am six forty. We're live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
From our mouths to your ears. I'm Andy Reesmeyer. Thanks
for being with us. We've got Heather Brooker in studio.
We asked people to call in because we've been talking
a little about what science says is the most best
(16:35):
greatest movie of all time. Yes, honor of course. Also,
I just want to invite him in as well. He's
a guy who knows about my movies too. Yes, So
are we get a little robot tell us about taste
or how does this about science?
Speaker 4 (16:47):
I think we have to we have to go by
our guide here a little bit. But I also know
there's a lot of people calling in, and I know
Ronnor will want to weigh in as well.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
I'm here for you.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
And this is an analysis from the pop culture web
site pixel Parade, and they have used three metrics to
sort of obtain this list. They have used the IMDb
user score, the Rotten Tomatoes critics consensus, and the Metacritic
score as well. So these are the three sort of
scores that they use to average and figure out out
(17:19):
of a score of one hundred, what the top fifty
best films of all time are? And do you want
to give the number again? Un tell people sure you
want to call it?
Speaker 2 (17:26):
It's one eight hundred five to two zero one five
three four. That's one eight hundred and five to zero
one KFI And we're taking your call. Got a few
people on hold. But we want to know what you
think the best movie of all time would be according
to like This is basically an average of all of
the critical reviews.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Yeah, according to like the general public when they think
it is. And then if people want to hit the
talkback button on the iHeartRadio app as well, we want
to hear from you and let us know what you think.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Now you know, I don't actually know. I haven't read
the list of what the answers are, so Roner and
we can just throw up I'll say, like maybe these
are in the top five. Just pitch a few that
maybe are in the top five. I will say, like,
obviously The Godfather's got to be most most people think
that that movie is. I think that everybody kind of
(18:15):
really likes that movie that critically.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
That does seem to be everybody's sort of go to, right, Yeah,
ron or what do you think?
Speaker 11 (18:21):
Two thousand and one of Space Odyssey. If that's not
in the top ten, this is totally illegitimate.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
That's a great garbage, I think.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I mean, is it like film school rules, because they're
gonna say Citizen Cain like is that?
Speaker 11 (18:35):
Now?
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Remember this is just what people like. Rotten Tomatoes is
made up of actual movie critics, but then also like bloggers.
Oh so it's a little bit of a it's it's
like the general public weighing in on what they think
of the best movies.
Speaker 11 (18:49):
Rotten Tomatoes has been devalued in recent years that a
lot of people who haven't exactly paid their dues on there.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
So Heather, you know the answers. I know the answers.
I have the whole list right here in front of me.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
And should Barry Gordy's last Dragon, isn't it?
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Oh my gosh, yes, in.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
The it's water World. We should we take some calls.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Then you see what people have to say, what everybody thinks.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
We've got the first caller justin from North Hollywood. We
know it well on the line, you're on KFI. What's happening?
Speaker 5 (19:24):
Oh yeah, I love the show, Andy Ronald, All you guys,
even you guys can give me the name.
Speaker 17 (19:29):
When I answered the call.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Ma'am the room, the room man. That's a great answer.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Seriously, Ronald, with all.
Speaker 18 (19:38):
Your brilliance, I know you love a if you're really
tipsy an the end of the night spots a couple
of you know what, I believe B class movie. A
B class movie, sir. And that's the quintessential B class movie.
And there's so many memes. I mean, you guys know
Mystery Science Theater three.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
Oh yeah, riff tracks, they riff that.
Speaker 18 (19:59):
And the it's just it's I mean, chef's kiss.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
I was going to ask if this is Tommy we
So calling, but it's it's obviously you know it's your
too coherent.
Speaker 19 (20:08):
I got a bunch of pictures with me and Tommy
we sow by the way, I used to go to
the screenings all the time, bringing plastic spoons, throwing them
at the screen and yeah, we that thing is something
you have to see live to get the full it's a.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Great it's a great, terrible movie.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
I don't know if it's in the top ten movies
of all time according to according to science.
Speaker 18 (20:29):
I say two other things, yes.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
Sir, one one other thing and.
Speaker 18 (20:32):
Asked for a shout out real quick. Okay, every time
I see a cute dog or even ugly dog, well
I want to say, oh hi doggie with that accent.
Right every two or three times out of.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
The hundred I've done them.
Speaker 18 (20:43):
They're like, oh, oh I got you. I got where

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Is it a name? No, that's actually my name, that's
your real name. Yeah, So all right, I know you

It's really funny. I go there.
Speaker 19 (22:49):
I've been there before, and they crack up every time

driver's license.
Speaker 2 (22:54):

The Zia What is that you said? It's the symbol
the state.
Speaker 19 (23:12):
It's the state symbol, the name of the state symbol
for New Mexico. But it's a name that's like through
several cultures.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
What is a zia.
Speaker 19 (23:21):
It's the name of their state symbol. I know, But
what is it at the stunt? If you look at this,
if you look at their state flag, it's the Zia sun.
There's a tribe of people. Oh oh, oh, yes, of course,
now I know. I just had to google it.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
The Pueblo people.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
It's if you're familiar with the way that things look,
it's a circle with radiating lines north, south, east, and
west that sort of looked like maybe like a welcoming hand,
a handshake, if you will.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
The Pueblo of Zia.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
I should tell you my mom is listening right now.
She's messaging me telling me to shut up. Ask you
where the talkback button is because she wants to leave
a mess.

Speaker 6 (24:33):
Thank you for taking my call. Mark twenty sixteen. Car
and I don't think my car has ever had a
radio station other than KFI on it.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
We love that. Is that by choice?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Or is that because your car has a software issue?
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Okay, but we're happy to hear that either way. We
don't mind.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Yeah, what do you think you're what do you think
the top movie is what's your guess.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
There's going to be two of them on there. It's
gonna be and close Encounters on the third kind. Those
those two have.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Got to be on there, Ronner, where do we fall in?
Close Encounters of the third kind?
Speaker 11 (25:07):
Distant second to Jaws? But I mean I'm sure one
or both will be in the top fifty, aren't you?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Oh? Definitely. I mean Jaws is like one of the
great I think Jaws would be in the top ten.
So good.
Speaker 11 (25:17):
I mean that was the first big summer blockbuster, the
first not.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
But not Jaws two or three, just only the original.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
No, they go downhill after the first one.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
I'll tell you what though, Jaws eight, Jaws eight, as
you saw back in twenty twenty or twenty fifteen, that's
a great movie. Shark still looks fake, But yeah, Ruth, Charlie,
thank you for calling. We really appreciate what's going on
in Long Beach tonight.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Anything good.
Speaker 6 (25:42):

best or the best movie of all time is? According
to Pixel Parade.
Speaker 17 (26:53):
Well, I'm going to have to assume it's the omen
because you have the theme music, you have the movie,
and you have are not lying the parody of it.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
We're talking about the original one, right, original? Yeah, not
the one that they remade in two thousand and six,
seventy six.
Speaker 17 (27:09):
No, No, the original one with a spin soup.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, you're thinking of the Exorcist. That's the Exorcist.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Yeah, but also also a great movie, scary.
Speaker 11 (27:23):
We're talking about the demon Pazuzu versus Uh, what's the devil? Yeah, yeah,
it's just the devil, Rightty Christ, the Antichrist Anti Christ is.
Speaker 17 (27:34):
In the Omen Blair those two movies, yep.
Speaker 2 (27:38):

According to sis I got two okay and Praying Shawshank Redemption.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Am Oh those are good and those are newer films,
I mean relatively speaking, right, I would say that it's
a modern class because Shashank was ninety four.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
I think I think, I think, uh, what's sash ninety four?
H And I think that so was Forrest Guff was
also ninety four.
Speaker 7 (28:36):
Right.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Then that's also when whole fiction came out. What I
hear in movies.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
I gotta say, I think some of you guys are
going to be really disappointed and shocked by this list,
by what's on it and what isn't on it.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Oh, we get to find out the answers. Yeah, when
are you gonna know what we got? You just guess
all night in this sa google it, good it, good night.

Speaker 8 (30:26):
Good evening, Hi, guys, I'm like him. My radios did,
but it's always got KFI on.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I love that. That's great. What's the favorite or what's
your top movie? You think?
Speaker 8 (30:39):
Well, I was commenting from what the other guy said
to the Jaws. I was an unpaid extra on the
beach and Martha's Vineyards.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
For you, that's so cool.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
What do you remember about the shoot other than it
I'm sure it was very cold.
Speaker 8 (30:54):
Well, I do remember one of the crazy things that
I was out with my boyfriend on a sailboat. We
were coming back. When we were coming back in, I'm like,
what is that? And he goes and and the Jaws
thing was actually in two parts. And then at night,
of course, they erected it up right and let it hang. Yeah,
(31:15):
and it looked really funky, weird. But I was looking
at the at the rear end the back house.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Oh yeah, do you remember what they called? Steven Spielberg's
nickname for the shark was.
Speaker 8 (31:28):
You know what I probably do, but I don't.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
That's right, yeah, because it was named after his lawyer.
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
We've been on the Universal Studios tour.

gu Yeah, you're Jimmy Fallon. I'm Jimmy Mary. Thank you
so much for Collin. That's great.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Jaws is a great answer and a movie star on
the show tonight.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Yeah, that's a great story.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
Mary, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
That sounds awesome being on a on a sailboat with
your boyfriend in Martha's vineyard and nine seventy five.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
What a dream man. That's a life.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
I feel like I'm again. We guess we're a little
too late. The door shut about that.
Speaker 11 (32:07):
Missus Kintner was a big DVN had an entourage with her,
a shark herself. Maybe last call here before we give
it over to mister Mark Ronner. Joy calling from Coasta Mesa.
What's the best movie of all time according to science?
Speaker 16 (32:22):
I would give you two of them.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
Ten Commandments and Ben Hur.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Oh that's a double feature. Those are class that's your
whole Saturday, by the way. Yeah, they're like, yeah, great classics.
Charleston Heston for sure. And the Burning Bush. Yeah, I
mean it's the original story, right.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Also my nickname in college. Also, ben Hur is a
touching love story.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
It is a touching love story. You're right, Jerriet's a
fire indeed. I mean it's a touching love story between
two alpha males. But nonetheless, that's okay, you know it
was progressive. I'm not here to judge. No, we're here
to take your calls. Thank you everybody for calling.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
It is a great bunch of call night. It's so great.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
We're so lucky that we've got such great, funny, funny
listeners out there. It makes the minutes fly by, for sure. Heather,
thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Do you want me to ever reveal the actual list.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Oh yeah, Oh my god, do you want to go
to break?
Speaker 6 (33:20):
All right?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
All right, all right, right, okay when we come back
the answer, good night everyone.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
Mind.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
We were joking about it. I was like, we are
actually going to end up doing that.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
It's gay if I am six forty, We're live everywhere
on the iHeartRadio app. It's gay if I am six forty,
We're live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. Coming up Coast
to Coast with George Nori And here he is on
the line. What's coming up on the big show tonight, George.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Andy, We're going to talk about cyber crime and how
they're trying to get us all. And then later on
in the program, scary movies and why people love going to.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
George, I love that. What is your favorite scary movie?
Speaker 5 (33:56):
It's an old one from way gone back called The
House on the Halloo.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
That sounds very scaryim Castle, that's.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Right, Price and all those people, Man, what a classic.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
And then if you were gonna choose, if you thought,
according to science, what the best movie of all time is,
what do you think it is?
Speaker 5 (34:19):
It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stuart.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Hey, that's a great answer, Well, we're gonna reveal that
coming up real soon, so keep on listening and we'll
listen to you coming up at ten pm. George Nori
there on KF. I I gotta tell you every single time,
and I grew up listening to George Norri.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
I have a grow grew up listening to KFI.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Really it's I became an adult in Los Angeles, and
every time I get to do that toss and I
hear him and I hear the song called It's like
I'm on another planet.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
It's so cool, so very appreciative.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Make sure you listen to that, all right, Heather, Okay,
we've been teasing it for almost an hour.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
We have been everyone's been on the edge of their
seat for the last hour.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Just as a recap, I said, I thought it would
probably be good now the Godfather, although I do love
Good Fellas. Yeah, Ronner thinks two thousand and one Space Odyssey.
Speaker 11 (35:06):
I mean, that's more of my favorite. But in any
objective list, it's got to be like at the top
ten totally.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
We've said Jaws, The Exorcist, The Room, the Omen, the Omen,
all right, Berry, Gordy's Last Dragon.
Speaker 11 (35:18):
We also said that and don't sell Caine short. Citizen
Kane may be like a darling of critics, but it's
legit good.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
I do want to get my mom's answers in here.
Shit had Gone with the Wind, and she likes Brad
Pitt and Once upon a Time in Hollywood like that's
one of her favorite movies at all time.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
That is that is a good answer.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
All right, I'm going to tell you guys really quickly.
What's not on the list? Jaws.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
I'm unplugging my headphones and going home. Two thousand and
one Space Odyssey illegitimate.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. I mean, that's a crazy is
not in the top fifty?
Speaker 4 (35:51):
No what yes, I'm telling you they use Rotten Tomatoes
and Metacritic. So all right, you know what, though, without
further ado, thank you everybody who called in tonight, by
the way, and who's left talkbacks. We appreciate you guys,
a wing and this has been so fun. Yeah, all right,
I'm gonna just read the top ten. The number one
movie according to this a pixel Parade poll is The Godfather.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
There you go, there it is, Baby Baby Go. I
feel like it's at the top of every list.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I know, it seems obvious, and I'm like, I'll just say, like,
it's not my favorite movie of all time, but it's.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
A good movie. But Godfather too was better. That's what
everyone says. Yeah, that's what everybody says.
Speaker 8 (36:29):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
That one is on the list. Off, other two is
on the list. All right.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
So number two, somebody said, Shindler's list. That was a
great answer.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
Yeah, that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
Okay, this one might be there might be some debate
about this. The Lord of the Rings, Return of the King.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Oh God, absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Nothing in the last century, I mean, in this century
should qualify.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
The science was clearly made by nerds.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Okay, everyone, hold on to your butts. Number four, Oh, parasite.
Oh I thought you're gonna say Jurassic Park. No, no,
but that would have been a good parasite parasite, like
the movie just came out COVID a couple of years ago. Yes, huh,
that's right. And here we got number five. I know
what reaction is coming, The Lord of the Rings, the
Two Stars.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
What are we doing? I gave this list to you
and I trusted you. No, it's not my list, all right.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Number six Star Wars Episode four, New Hope.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
I have to agree with that. That's a great movie. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
And then here you go Sam The Godfather Part two, okay,
number seven, and then The Dark Night at number eight.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
This is absurd, surprising, but not bad, all right.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
I also want to say this heavily because Rotten Tomatoes
is involved in this. This is heavily favorite in movies
that exist post Internet.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
True, there are some like Cosablanca is number twenty one
on the list, there are some older movies. All about
Eve is twenty seven. And then you've got arounding out
the top ten, number nine, Saving Private Ryan number ten,
The Silence of the Last, number twelve, The Lord of
the Rings.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
The Fellows stop, they have to be stopped. This is
this is an hour long disappointment. I think all of
our answers were far better that we heard from the
from the listeners, far.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Better than we Well, the Angry Men is on the list.
That's a good movie, good Fellas movie, good Fellaw's great movie.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
The Departed Apocalypse. Now only the list Toy Story three.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
You know you can't can't go wrong on that.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
La Confidential.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
What do you guy think about?
Speaker 7 (38:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (38:27):
One of my favorite yeah movies. So there you go.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
So there's some good Ones on Avengers Endgame Okay, all right,
pretty good, Whiplash is on there, Goodwill.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Hunting those are those are good movies?
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Yeah, see Finding Nemo.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
I know, I don't know that that exists in the
same sentence as Good Fellas, but Wally okay.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Psycho Singing in the Rain and number fifty Doctor Strangelove
absolutely yeah, yeah, so, and there's some other like, there's
some other movies in here too. I know we don't
have a whole lot of time to go over all
of them, but overall, I think it's a good list.
I think the top two we're pretty obvious that The
Godfather and Schindler's List pretty much top every movie list
(39:11):
of all time. And I mean, will they ever be bested?
Speaker 3 (39:14):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
I don't think I have seen anything that even comes
close to people's love and admiration for The Godfather and
Schindler's List, Sam's.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Sam's movie The Room? Yeah no, what was the Berry Gordon?
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Yeah, Berry Gordon. Well, thank you all so much for listening.
We got to get out of here. George Norri coming
up coast to coast, you're listening to KFI. Big thanks
to Mark Ronner, Samsey, Heatherbrooker, Matt Toffler, I'm Andy Reesmeyer.
