Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yes Later with Mo Kelly. We're live everywhere on the
iHeartRadio app. Jackie Ray Beyond the box Score Always good
to see you, Jackieray, how you doing great? To see
you doing done good. Let's talk about a little bit
of NFL and then later we'll talk about a little
bit of WNBA. First, the NFL, The Minnesota Vikings are
in hot water when I say hot water as far
as how they're being responded to on social media. And
(00:28):
I know we should not say that social media is real,
but it does have consequences. People do respond to social media.
And the Vikings announced they had a new team of cheerleaders,
and they shared a clip to Instagram a few days ago.
It featured a young male cheerleader, and all of a sudden,
the Minnesota Viking fan base went appleplectic and lost their minds,
(00:49):
like how dare you have a male cheerleader? And then
I just had to just remember racking my brain it's like,
wait a minute, Okay, they've they've had male cheerleaders in
high school from coast coast they've had male cheerleaders in college.
I'm talking about for football from coast to coast. They
had some in twenty eighteen, I believe, yes, they did,
the Rams and the New Orleans Saints YEP as of
(01:12):
twenty eighteen, so that's the better part of a decade ago. Right,
Why is this a news item? And why are people
even upset beyond the whole culture war saying, you know,
like the Minnesota, Minnesota's not making a statement by having
a male cheerleader. It's not a I don't get it.
What am I missing in this story? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
If I if I could tell you, we'd probably both
make a whole lot of money because that would lead
to an understanding of a very specific group of people
that have issues with how other people live their life.
And it's interesting to me because, like you said, most
NFL fans have been watching NCAA football for the entirety
of their football fandom, and having male cheerleaders is a
very common thing. I was on a cheerleading squad in Colorado.
(01:53):
There was a male chair too, male cheerleaders on our squad,
So it's not it's not new information for this to happen.
So I think what we're seeing is a lot of
misogyny in a way where you're seeing, this is a
male dominated sport. This is the last you know, you're like,
you know, banging on your chest trying to say, this
is our sport. We don't want to see. We want
strong men on the field and we want pretty women
(02:16):
on the sideline, and we don't want that to cross over.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
But you don't even have to look at it there.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
I'm sure there's plenty of pretty women on that cheerleading
squad that you could focus your attention on to them.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
So I don't really understand what this is about. Let's
back this up. Okay, we know why cheerleading squads in
a relative in a respective professional sports came to be one.
It was for eye candy for the pre dominant men
who were in the stands. But also it was about
this versioning television product where you had these gaps, you
had TV timeouts, you had prolonged lulls on the field,
(02:48):
and so you had organizations and franchise said hey, we
need to provide some sort of entertainment in between times.
We know what the Los Angeles Lakers. It was Jerry Buss,
the late doctor Jerry Buss, who introduced NBA basketball with
the Laker Girls, right, and then the rest of the
NBA followed suit. So the idea of cheerleaders Philly time
(03:09):
and being eye candy is not new. In subsequent decades,
professional sports have added these male cheerleaders, but never this
type of pushback. Do you think that this is going
to reverse that trend or our NFL team is going
to continue to move forward in this direction?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
I mean, I hope they continue to move forward, you know,
because it's it's a non problem.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's a non starter.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
And just like men like eye candy, there's somebody in
that stadium that's going to like to look at that
male cheerleader. So let's just have equality across the board.
But what I think we're seeing is I've always said this,
A lot of people have said it, You've said it.
Sports are always a microcosm of our society, and what
we're seeing right now is there is this movement towards
(03:52):
being anti gay, anti trans, anti everything, if we're being honest,
and so I think what we're seeing is people's hate
come on on full display.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
And it's a conflation. I don't necessarily know about the
sexual or it could be a straight man of the
male cheerleader. And if you know anything about the male cheerleaders,
they've been all across the board. You know, I'm good
friends straight who were male cheerleaders at Georgetown. I mean,
that has never been indicative of a sexual preference. It's not.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
In high school, the two guys that were on our
cheerleading squad were straight. They had had to be strong,
had to be strong because we needed them for the base.
And like you see that if you ever watch a
cheerleading competition, which are phenomenal, by the way, then you
see that that's what they usually do. They spot and
they help make sure everybody's safe. Basically, you know, in
high school was a little thing for them. They started
because they fought it would be a good way to
(04:42):
meet girls, and then they fell in love with the
sport and then continued it into college. So there's a
plethora of reason. I think the assumption is this is
a gay man. I didn't even look in to see
if he's gay or not, because it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Could have been gay, could not have been gay. They
have no idea, and I don't care. And I don't
get the sense that Minnesota Vikings will since they're at
least a third to do it. They're not making a statement, No,
they're making an addition. Yep.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
And literally it was twenty eighteen when the league sent
out this thing that said, if you want to come
an audition and you're a man, you're welcome to do so.
We didn't get the influx of men coming to audition
for these teams.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
So maybe that's the disconnect.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Maybe they thought maybe they forgot about it and said, well,
we didn't have this influx of min it's not even
an influx.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
It's one guy, one new guy. I'm trying to understand.
I know the NFL seemingly can't get out of its
own way, and I know that I have. You have
been very critical of the NFL at certain points. This
is not one of those times.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
This isn't one of those because, again, the cheerleaders are
there to entertain the fans during the timeout or a commercial.
We were talking before we got on. My family had
season tickets to the Broncos. I distinctly remember a kid
as a kid, my dad said, oh, we going to
commercial break because he would always know when the cheerleader
started lining up in the end zone. They were getting
ready because it was going to commercial break and we
(05:59):
didn't have the cool arenas and stadiums with all this
other electronic and beautiful things going on.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
So the women they held it down. That's a great
point because now you go to these modern stadiums, they
have the fantasy stats up there, they have the instant replays,
they have the games that you could play during time out.
There's so much more for a fan to do, which
is different from the experience. The first time I went
to an NFL football game, it was the Rams versus
the expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the Coliseum. I think
(06:27):
it was like nineteen seventy six or nineteen seventy seven.
There's nothing going on, no other than the football. And
so when you know, when you're at home, you have TV,
you have announcers, commentary, you have replays. None of that
was going on in the seventies when you're in the stadium,
so it needed something else.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yeah, So I think the people, in my opinion, who
are upset about this, you need to instead of saying
we're upset that there's a man on the team, say
you're you're ready to do away with cheerleading all together.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
That would be more of a fair because yeah, and
I do believe you're correct, there is this conflation of
having a man as somehow endorsement of LGBTQ, or having
trans athletes on the fields. Always that assumption, yeah, one
doesn't have anything to do with the other. Now the
person maybe gay.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I don't know, didn't even Yeah, it doesn't matter, but
that is always the assumption. The assumption from the Machies
moment is that there's no straight man who would want
to be a cheerleader.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Except for college football, except for high school football, except
for the past seventy eighty years.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
And they never have a problem with that. But somehow
we make it to the NFL. I don't even know
what it is.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
When we come back, we to talk a little bit
about the WNBA. We often talk about Caitlin Clark. She's
missed most of the season due to a groin injury.
Don't know if she's coming back this season because it's
one of those injuries which can nag and be prolonged
for any number of reasons during rehab. I get the sense, though,
that the WNBA has not missed her as many would
(08:02):
have thought. You look at the attendance she looked at
the ratings. The league has held up knowing that Kaitlyn
Clark is not coming back anytime soon. Let's talk about
it when we come back.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty KFI Kelly.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Beyond a box Score with Jackie Ray. Jackie Ray joins
us in studio. Still, Jackie Ray, you and I were
on the w NBA train long before the rest of
the media was. Yes, indeed, long before anyone at KFI was.
So we've seen this maturation evolution of it pre and
(08:50):
post Caitlin Clark. She has been out most of this
season due to an injury. No one can deny her
impact on bringing eyes, sponsors and also general awareness to
the NBA. W NBA talking about Kitlin Clark, but I've
noticed in her absence the league has found a degree
(09:13):
of equilibrium correct and a more general fan base appreciating
the sport and some of the other players beyond Caitlin Clark.
Would you agree with that? Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (09:26):
And you know, I can even say that maybe some
of that is because of Caitlin Clark, because the Indiana
Fever don't just scrimmage against themselves right, and so then
it's an opportunity for fans to see. You know, I
think Defeasa Collier is the best player in the league.
I think there's a strong argument to be say Asia Wilson, Well,
I mean I would put them like one in one,
you know what I mean, Like I would put them
(09:47):
side by side. I think the obviously the Minnesota Links
are a more complete team than the Aces are. But still,
if you're going out and you're seeing the feast of Collier,
if you're seeing Asia Wilson, if you're seeing dear kaham
be on this, Kelsey Plumb and all that, now you
have an opportunity to see other players who have, you know,
more maturity in the league. They understand how to you know,
(10:08):
play both sides of the ball, They're great with their teammates,
and then they have that star power as well. So
I think that you've had people who came in for
Caitlin Clark that are staying for other teams now or
other players.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I've also noticed when I said that we were on
this before the rest of the media was I take
great delight and I mean this sincerely. It's a supporter
of the league. Great delight when I turn on ESPN
and I see that it's one of the top topics
that they're recovering. When I go to ESPN dot com
or Foxsports dot Com and I see, you know, one
of the top stories is WNBA. That is a process
(10:41):
that's a long time coming. I would say, yes, it
is a direct result of the Caitland Clark effect, but
in her absence, it also says that the league has
been able to float on its own as far as
at least media exposure.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Yea, because the talent was always there. The talent has
been there for a long time. So but the craze
started with her in college, and so media came with her.
You know, there's a part of it that I feel
like it's, you know, crazy disrespectful, especially for media that's
been there this whole time.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yeah you shouldn't know.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, Like it's like, come on, man, We've been doing
this work. We've been shining this light on these on
these people for a long time. But I do think
it's great that it's happening right now. I think what
we're seeing on both sides, the league was always going
to adjust to Caitlin Clark. The players were going to
adjust to her. We've seen that in her game. We've
seen some of the areas that she fails in have
been exposed. She's not the best ball handler in the world.
(11:32):
She doesn't take constant pressure too too well. There's been
an adjustment that's been made to her, and I think
the fans of making an adjustment as well in her absence.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
So I think it's good. Well, also without her being
on the floor, people are seeing or I should say,
even in watching Caitlin Clark against other players in the league,
you get to know the other talent absolutely. But I
was looking during this extended absence of Caitland Clark how
the league would do. And I noticed that sports media
is still very high on the WNBAY. And you know,
(12:02):
and I know that fans by and large are still
very high on the WNBA. I don't mind them. I
like this player, don't like that player. That's the way
sports is supposed to be. You know, I don't need
you to love Angel Reese. I don't need you to
love Cameron Briakle, whoever it may be. But at least
you have an active rooting interest right beyond one person.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Exactly, and the numbers in their arenas haven't gone down,
so they have it.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
That's the main thing you're wondering.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
People know she's not playing, but they're still coming out
and they're still rooting, and they're still loud, and they're
still proud.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
These aren't season ticket holders, yeah, large they are buying
tickets to that get Oh and there's something else. I
noticed that every Sunday they have a game of the
Week on ESPN Slash ABC. Yes, that in the middle
of the day.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
It's been so high as a person who's been watching
the WNBA almost my whole life, to be able to
see them. They definitely need to do better with that
league past though, But that story for another day. But
to be able to see the games you want to
see on TV, on ESPN, Hulu, on these regular platforms
and not have to I've been a fan so long
I can remember where you would have to say, Hey,
(13:01):
are you watching it on Facebook?
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Can you send us a link?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Because it would only be on certain places, Like it
was atrocious to try to find these games on TV.
That's not to say, you know, as much as I'm
glad that the league is surviving this, it will be
great if the Indiana Fever can make it to the playoffs,
which I hope they do, because that's going to be
great TV for people to even if Kitlin Clark isn't
playing with the team, to have them in the playoffs
(13:24):
is going to give another boost to WNBA coverage just
because now the narrative will be, oh my gosh, Indiana
fever in the playoffs without Kitlyn Clark.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
What does this look like. I'm gonna say something which
is gonna piss off some Caitlin Clark done dun dumb.
But I believe, and I believe that even in college.
But since Kitlyn Clark played in the Big Ten, which
is not as good of a basketball conference as maybe
the Big East, I've always thought, and I think it's
(13:55):
been confirmed this year that Page Beckers is the freaking truth.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
I told everybody that Page Beckers was better than Kaitlyn Clark,
and oh my god, they came for me.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Page Becker. She has handles on top.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
Of hand handles on top of handles, can play both
sides of the ball.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
She takes care of the ball.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Well, she almost got that game winner at the buzzer
and that ball was in the basket, and it's just like, no,
not today and came back out. She is great under pressure.
Not only is she great under pressure, she is a leader.
She didn't have that little up ramp if you will,
where people players have to go through, they have to
get used of their teammates. She has an ability to
connect with people players and all that. So she came
(14:32):
in and really helped that team a lot, which they
need to because you know, their head coach used to
be a videographer.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
You don't have no coaching backround. Oh yeah, and that's
we could do a whole hour on that that alone.
But I am and she does not have the type
of persona which is going to command as attention as
maybe a Kaitlyn clark Er in Angel Reese. But as
far as just balling ability, page Beckers might be might
(14:57):
be the best first or second year player in the least.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Yeah I'm gonna I'm gonna take the might off of that. Okay, okay,
might off of that. And I think she doesn't have
the star powered because she doesn't command the attention that way.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
No, she doesn't.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Controversy brings attention like it or not. We live in
a country that if it's controversial, it's going to get
a bunch of attention. The Angel Rees Caitlin Clark dynamic
was very controversial because that's the kind of country we
live in.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Paige Becker just be balling, that's it. And part of
this my heart is broken because I know it's gonna
be a while before we get to see Juchu at
her best. Yes. Yeah, so she's going to be out
presumably all of this season for USC she would have
been the number one pick overall and she may be,
but she's gonna have to at least play one more
year in college to show everyone that that ACL injury
(15:45):
didn't take something off her game.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Yeah, And the thing is is there's always a ramp up,
so when she comes back immediately, she might not be
because people always forget you're not just getting over the
physical injury. There's a mental injury that you have to
get over as well. Oh my gosh, I don't want
to get that injury again. You might start overcompensating in ways.
All these things have to happen and the player has
to go through it before they get good. So she
definitely has to do another year, which is unfortunate for
(16:07):
the league, But do what you gotta do.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Gro We want to see you be great. I'll see
you next month. See you next month. It's Later with
Mo Kelly caf I AM six forty. We're live everywhere
in the iHeartRadio App.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
With Kelly Monk AM six Live everywhere the iHeartRadio App.
I've worked in entertainment since before I graduated college, so
this is like maybe nineteen eighty nine, nineteen ninety from
an interim capacity. All the way up until now, I've
been in and around some form of entertainment, be it
(16:53):
rock music, be it hip hop, be it classical music,
sports radio, entertainment, radio, the Grammys. I've been in entertainment
in some form or fashion since the late nineteen eighties.
And there's something which I've always learned and believed that
drugs is going to be the undoing of most stars,
(17:16):
not all, but most, and you see it time and
time again, and I can honestly say I've never done
any type of hard drug in my life. I've never
done ecstasy, I've never done cocaine, obviously, never done crack
or anything like that. And that has and it wasn't
for lack of opportunity. Let me be clear, it's because
(17:36):
I've seen what it's done to too many other stars
and even executives in that business. When I saw the
second arrest of comedian Paul Rodriguez, it kind of broke
my heart. But it's one of those things where it
can't everyone or anyone see what's going on here? Can't
you see the signs that this story's going to end horribly?
(18:00):
And this is not about whether he was arrested unjustly.
I'm saying, can we not see the forest for the trees.
Paul Rodriguez was first arrested by Burbank police back in
late March, maybe early April, and they found him in
a car with a woman. He was not driving, He
was in the passenger seat, and drugs were found that
(18:22):
supposedly were in the possession of the woman and also
Paul Rodriguez. Paul Rodriguez said they weren't his, said it
was the woman, and then he went on to say
that he was abused by the police, he was slapped,
and he was going to file a lawsuit, which as
of this point has not happened. But the bottom line
(18:43):
is the drugs were real they can go back and
forth about who owned the drugs, but the drugs were real.
Fast forward to last week, Paul Rodriguez was arrested again
on suspicion of rug possession and he was found in
a parking structure when also found with a woman, and
(19:07):
he and this woman were found generally non responsive, under
the influence and not alert. The investigation led to the
discovery of xenax and heroin inside the female's personal bag.
This is according to the report, and also officers allegedly
found xenax and suspected fentanyl in Rodriguez's vehicle. He said
(19:31):
the drugs weren't his once again, but they were in
he and this woman were in his vehicle. Something I
don't understand in a general sense, and I know that
there are a lot of people who do indulge in
recreational drugs. Why you would do them in public, I
don't know. I don't understand why you would do them
(19:52):
and also drive, I don't know, And I don't understand
why would you do it in a place where police
go walk up to you and find you. I don't know.
I don't understand. But of course, if you are under drugs,
you probably want aren't in your right mind to begin with.
The point I'm making is Paul Rodriguez is seventy years old.
Seventy years old, you would think after a certain point
(20:14):
you would let certain things go. You would think after
seventy years old, you would beyond the use of illicit
drugs unless you are an addict. Unless you are an addict.
And at this point, if you're making excuses, if you're
getting arrested multiple times, you clearly have a problem. And
(20:35):
there's no one who should be around you who's also
getting arrested. I mean, how many times can you say
the drugs aren't mine, they're hers, But you're in your car. Well,
there's still hers, but we found you both un alert
and under the influence. Yeah, but the drugs are hers.
How many times can you use that excuse? How many
times is he going to be arrested and allege some
(20:56):
sort of mistreatment by law enforcement even though drugs were
admittedly found on his person and or his female companion's person.
I say this to someone who has been in the
entertainment business for all of my professional adult life. These
stories always end the same way, and it's going to
(21:17):
end with the personal destruction of someone or a number
of someone's or it's going to end in someone's death.
There are too many times that I can tell you
about people that you do know about people that you
don't know about. Oh. I often tell the story about
Whitney Houston. I saw that up close and personal. Everyone
knows who Whitney Houston was and her drug habit that
(21:39):
she denied publicly. But if you worked in the industry,
and I was telling the story of when I was
at the Playboy mansion the other day and Whitney Houston
was there, high as could be, walking around, talking to
no one in particular, singing gospel songs to herself, and
everyone knew that she was an addict and she was
strung out. We all saw how that story eventually ended,
(22:03):
and she didn't make it to seventy. Paul Rodriguez, I've
bet I don't know a handful of times because I
had booked him for different radio shows that I worked on,
so I've had a level of interaction with him. I've
always thought that he was far more talented than the
results of his career. I honestly believe he should be
(22:24):
more famous, more popular, more successful today than a lot
of these comedians today. He's actually more talented than many
of those in I'll say his contemporaries, but he's always
had some personal issues, and it seems like there's some
other personal issues which keep getting in the way this story.
(22:46):
When you see someone who's been arrested twice for drug
possession and they're relatively similar stories and similar excuses, and
you're seventy years old, that ought to tell you this
is not under control, and without a doubt, this is
going to have a horrible ending if he doesn't get
it under control, or if someone does not intervene. It's
(23:10):
Later with mo Kelly ca if I Am six forty.
We are live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. When we
come back, we have your horoscope for this week, and
I'm here to tell you you're probably not gonna like it.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
You're listening to Later with mo Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
I Am six forty. It's Later with mo Kelly, and
here is a very harsh yet truthful assessment of your
coming week. Okay, it's not all puppies and rainbows in
the world of astrology aries. Your first aries as in
ares was the ancient Greek god of war. I'm not
(23:49):
sure if this has anything to do with the sign aries,
but it seems too close to be a coincidence whatever.
To be honest, I don't really know what's up for
aries this week, so just wing it. Good luck with
that Taurus. Taurus is the sign of the bull, and
if you ask me, a whole lot of it has
been coming out of your mouth lately. So start telling
the truth more because people are starting to catch on.
(24:10):
It starts out innocently enough, a white light here and there,
never hurt anybody, But before long you're sending remittances to
your secret family in Antigua and moonlighting as a wrestler
under the stage name of Gunther to pay off your
gambling debts.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Darius Gemini, Wait a second, is this a horoscope or
a roast?
Speaker 2 (24:30):
It's a horror scope? Okay, Gemini. The stars are aligning
for you, Gemini. This week you should be making that
big decision you've been mulling over for a few weeks. Oh,
pay no heed to the fact that your entire future
hinges on this one choice, and if you go down
the wrong path, your entire life will be ruined. So
choose now, because if you wait any longer, you completely
(24:51):
f it up. No pressure at all. Nine for that none,
I'm just giving it to you straight cancer crab sign.
But that doesn't mean you have to be so crabby
all the damn time. Light nuttoots. You look much prettier
with a smile on your face. Remember when you're smiling,
the whole world smiles with you. But when you're crying,
it makes people feel uncomfortable. Lucky numbers for cancers this
(25:12):
week are seven, twenty nine, forty two, fifty five and zero.
Go play Lotto Leo. Marilyn Monroe once said that blondes
have more fun, but personally, I think Leo's do. This week.
You're going to be outgoing, sociable and friendly to a fault.
Just remember that not everybody likes you as much as
you think, so keep that in mind the next time
(25:32):
you extend that handshake. Yeah, Virgo, The sun is in
Virgo until September twenty second meeting. It's time for you
to get your ish together. Do that task you've been
putting off for the last week. That pile of dishes
you have in the sink isn't going to do itself.
And I think I heard a mouse crawling around in
it last night. I mean, come on, when we signed
(25:53):
the lease, we talked about dividing up the chores evenly.
But you haven't washed a single dish since we moved in.
It smells like damn rotten eggs in their And this
hits home because my wife refuses, refuses to allow a
single dish to stay in the sink overnight, and she
(26:14):
will gladly cuss my ass out. And here's the thing,
I'm gonna stop the show for this. Mind you. She
gets off of work, I don't know, four or five o'clock,
get home by six o'clock of the latest, Right, I
get off at ten ish, get home an eleven ish,
maybe later, depending on traffic and what have you. It's
my responsibility to do dishes. She's already asleep, so she's
(26:37):
gone to sleep with a full sink of dishes and
has expected me to handle them. And they're usually not
even mine because I haven't been home eaten.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yes, your vacation's gonna be great. Oh, it's gonna be great.
I'm gonna let it all fly.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Libra libras are primarily concerned with justice and balance making
them excellent jingle players. They also tend to solve problems
with diplomacy, but the movement of the moon this week
might make that difficult. If you run into problems trying
to solve conflicts with words, consider using your fists or
a weapon nice or both, not just a suggestion. Scorpio twelve,
(27:17):
all you let's go. Scorpios have intense intellects, and that
could cause problems this week if you're interacting with people
who don't like nerds. Wow, this kind of hits home.
Make sure not to come off as a know it
all dork this week, maybe look into a prescription for
contact lensessh what lot of a out sagittarius? This is me?
(27:41):
I should satisfy my innate sagittarian thirst for adventure this week,
throw caution to the wind and see where the week
takes you. Try out that new restaurant you've been thinking about,
ride the bus to the end of the line, or
if the opportunity should arise, smoke some cool new drugs. Well,
I will be on vacation, but I won't be smoking drugs.
That's really good.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
Look, how do they know you were going on a case?
I don't know you'll be in Greece, which is smoking. No,
they would be smoking. No, I'll be along the water.
I'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
I'll be fine, or you know, the ship will probably
get I.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Don't know, pirate tact you know, something adventurous, or you
would just be a thrill seeker and try the Metro.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
I've already done that though, I'm already crossed that off
my bucket list. And you didn't die. No, I did
not as of yet, Capricorn. Capricorns take heed. This week
will be extremely painful for you. I recommend shutting yourself
inside your home and leaving only for the bare necessities.
Do not expose yourself to the cruelty of the world.
Consider buying an xbox. I already have one. And uh oh,
(28:41):
because I'm leaving this weekend. Oooho. Tread lightly, be careful,
wear a condom Aquarius. Speaking of condoms, you should get
go get tested for STDs. That's what it says. Okay,
I mean everybody should, but you should go right now, like,
drop what you're doing and go get tested immediately. That's it.
(29:05):
That's what it says. Insider Knowledge. Pisces. The full moon
is in Pisces this week and that means you should
avoid foods high in keratin and omega three, fatty assets.
These nutrients will block vital essences from circulating through your
body and you will suffer professionally as a result. Eat
lots of fast food to get that promotion you've been
(29:26):
angling for. M and that's your horse go for this week. Nice.
I love it. And yes, my wife is probably gonna
kick my ask because someone someone she doesn't listen to
the show. I can't speak for the long suffering one,
but my wife does not listen to the show. Oh no,
they've all got better things to do than that. But
(29:46):
there is someone she knows who always listens to the show.
Could be a coworker, and could be a relative, Like
my mother listens to the show and she will report back.
Did you hear what your husband said about it? Nobody
likes a snitch I no one does. But there's someone
who's always gonna snitch me out. And I know that
since my wife doesn't listen to the show, there's always
plausible deniability. Now she heard that wrong? No, no, no, What
(30:06):
I was talking about is when I travel, I like
to get a good nap in, So I'm not inclined
to have conversation, that's all. No, no, no, I would always
talk to you, baby.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
What is it about the women that we know that
are closest to us who just absolutely refuse to listen
to the show or anything, but may every once while
I say something like talk what you're doing on the
show lately?
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Does that ever happen? Look?
Speaker 5 (30:31):
I also went very very close with literally like I
support every single thing to and it's like one of
those like.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
So like, hey, you know, you guys should maybe talk
about this, that and the other. I'm like, we did yesterday.
Did you listen?
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (30:44):
I'm sorry, don't.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
I don't really get a chance to really listen much.
I'm gonna catch the podcast. I'm like, what is going
on here? What is happening?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Yeah? My wife doesn't really talk to me about anything
having to do with the show. She'll just say, oh,
how's the show going? I don't know. Whytn't you listen once
in a while you might find out how she's.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Been in the station before and seemed somewhat unimpressed with
what was going on.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
The last time she was in the station, she was
in the studio in the corner doing stuff for work,
not paying any attention to me, not at all, not
at all, not even a little bit. And he was
showing out what was really showing out that I remember
doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Yeah, well, maybe this keeps him more grounded, because if
he had a wife that just absolutely adored everything he did,
maybe he'd be unbearable.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
And we will never have to worry about that. I
promise you, Lamu. Hair will never be the person who's
gonna falln over me. Yeah, I know the feeling. What
is happening in the world. Life, man, life be life,
and sometimes Tony I think being as singles Toto made
it very clear he is bachelor for life. My choice.
It's just I've accepted my faith. No, no, no, no, no, it's
(31:47):
my choice. I've seen your house. It's my choice. It's
only getting worse. I hope you know that I've got
down the rabbit hole. Else. Okay, look, you need to
explain yourself. What is it you have in your house
right now? I mean permission to treat as a hostel Webben,
I'll say it. It's still a little arcade. I means
(32:08):
for myself, not a little arcade. Name all the games
you have a few cabinets. We don't have that kind
of time. No, no, no no. And we're not talking about
like console like an Xbox. We're talking about full cabinet
stand up nineteen eighties arcade looks Emulators calls Tony David
Busses and like, Tony, can you give us some more
ideas for design? End of the question. What games do
(32:30):
you have in your house? Emulators?
Speaker 6 (32:33):
First of all, but Tron the original eighties Tron, Star Wars,
the Atari. One even know the vector graphics. One Golden Tea,
Silver Strike, Bowling, Golden Tea, I mean Golden Axe, Teene,
Ninja Turtles, Tempest Centipede. You just like you forgot some

Speaker 2 (33:03):

Speaker 6 (33:04):

Speaker 6 (33:12):
I have only two, The Jurassic Park I need data
East Trrassic Park and a will Valley Williams Shadow really bad.
Alec Baldwin be terrible Baldwood, but the pinball's great. I
am working towards trying to get a Godzilla, the Stern Godzilla.
I'm working towards.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
Yeah, that'll be some Spanish fly for the ladies exactly.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Oh no, no, I figured this out. I have a
section for filthy casuals.
Speaker 6 (33:40):
Nice a slot machine, oh, a video poker machine, and
I'm I'm trying to get my I just might talking

a Japanese slot machine.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
You're a veritable whiskey, Pete. I mean, you got why
should we even go to State Line? Just go to
Tony's well and gamble the night away. I'd have a
pool table and a shuffle board table too.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I hope you bought up all those spare bottles of
lube from Diddy.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Oh wow, what shot fire? That made me feel very uncomfortable.
He's not wrong. It just made me uncomfortable. This room
is for me. I don't care about anybody else, because
nobody's going to be I I didn't know.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
I did ask like when can we have like a
get together? And he was like, hey, this isn't for
the public. No, you know, I can't.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
I can't. I can't let people know where this hidden.
He didn't tell you about the pool. Well I thought,
I mean I have a house. Not everyone has a
pools only just because you have a house.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
Okay, well that's what I I worked very hard to
have a game.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
It was a damn resort. It's a resort. They got gambling,
they have pool, they have pinball. Do you have any
talk about my fire pit that I built? Yes, you
told me. Tell everyone we got time. Okay.
Speaker 6 (35:02):

it's called a Ruben's tube. Essentially, it's the fire dances
to music. It's a like a spectrum analyzer with fire.
Speaker 2 (35:13):

think we're gonna have to do a live show from
his place.
