Six, We're live everywhere on theiHeartRadio app. Let's talk about Comic Con
Revolution, the Inland Empire's only fullscale comic and pop culture experience. It
returns to the Ontario Convention Center thisweekend Saturday and Sunday, May eighteenth and
nineteenth. Comic Con Revolution is theInland Empire's largest comic and pop culture event.

(00:33):
And let me just tell you trueSelvin, who is the Comic Con
Revolution CEO. He joins me instudio. We've had this conversation any number
of times and years and it nevergets old. True, it is good
to see you. It's good tohave you back. How have you been
my friend? I have been goodand it's great to be back. It's
like visiting an old college roommate. We're just going to pick up where we
left off my front. Absolutely,we have one point in contention. I

(00:56):
don't know if you heard our discussion. Before we walked in. I was
talking with Mark Ronner, who isa comic book officionado in his own right,
Okay, I have been under theimpression that there was a distinction with
the difference between graphic novels and comicbooks. I was under and Mark says
it's a misinformed opinion that graphic novelsand comic books are exactly the same.

(01:18):
I thought that there was a slightdistation where the graphic novels might have been
a little bit more sophisticated, theymight have been different subject matter. What
say you? I mean, Idon't think there's a definitive answer. I
mean, I think this is goingto be one that we can debate and
go over for centuries to come. But in most cases, I mean,
a novel is going to be moredetailed, it's going to be a longer

(01:40):
story, whether they skew more adultor not. I mean, I think
that's based solely on just a subjectmatter, because I've seen graphic novels that
were clearly, you know, writtenfor like My Little Pony. You know.
So again the point being so,I mean, they're two different categories,
and they're sold to two different categories. But to me, I think
there's a similarity that really wouldn't drawa full distinction. Okay, fair enough.

(02:05):
It's so funny you mentioned My LittlePony. I once shared a table
at a comic con, I thinkthe Emerald City Comic Con with a My
Little Pony artist and my stuff.I'm also a fairly prolific comic author,
but all of filthy stuff, horrorstuff, violent stuff. By the end
of the weekend, these guys weren'ttalking to me. Why do you think
that is, Mark? They weretraumatized by me and by the kind of

(02:28):
people who came to get autographs fromme. So this is great. See
it's funny because I was speaking toa whole group of my little pony people
and they had but good things tosay about you, Mark. So you
know, I don't know what happened. Well, maybe I've turned a corner
with the Brony's well drew. Ifanything, that highlights the passion in not

(02:51):
only the various art forms, butalso the conventions where we come together,
have these types of discussions, havethese types of debates, compare notes experiences,
and I guess that's a little sampleof what we might expect at Comic
Con Revolution. Oh absolutely, Imean this is actually year seven. So
we started Comic Con Revolution back intwenty seventeen, which when I think about

(03:15):
it doesn't seem that long ago.But when I look in the mirror,
it feels like a century ago,and it's grown, it's evolved and it's
really becoming something very very special forcomic fans, for hardcore novices, for
first timers. You're really going tohave a great time at the show.
It's this year. We've got somuch going on, so much to discuss,

(03:36):
to debate. I mean, rightoff comics, We've got Adam Kuber
coming. He's never been to DaniGlampire. You know, the man's touched
pretty much all the major characters youcan possibly think of, so that's exciting
for people. We're doing a bigtime Star Wars thing. We've got the
voice actors from Clone Wars, includingAshley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, Dee,
Bradley Baker, you know, AnakinObi, Wan Ahsokatanoe, all the Clones.

(04:00):
Luckily it's only one guy who arebringing in members of the Rebels cast
Vanessa Larjo, Tyler Gray. Sothere's just so much going on with that.
We added a couple of people recently. We've got some incredible wrestlers.
We've got Tris Stratus and Leda coming. We've got Samoa Joe Comming who just
lost the aw title. We've gotJohn DiMaggio coming. Tell Mark Ronald that

(04:25):
I tell him we talk wrestling allthe time, and he acts like we
never do and and he works onthe show, but he doesn't know the
show. I like wrestling into wrestling. That's the whole point. You're saying,
we need to talk wrestling more. Here's our opportunity. Lay it on
us, Mark, Oh, nowit's on me. My default is to

(04:45):
always play the Piper's pit clip ofrowdy Roddy Piper taunting Jimmy Superflies with but
he hits him with the pineapples, coconuts, coconut okay, okay, knocks
him back all the way through theset wall, and then whips him with
his belt. Are you satisfied now, mo, I'm satisfied. I want
to make sure you're happy that thisshow meets your standard. I think I

(05:06):
need to be a guest at thisshow. The interesting the interesting thing is
the and Mark. We'll talk aboutthat for next year. But the interesting
thing is the weird dynamic that wrestlingand comic fans. It's an overlap.
It totally is an overlap. Thesame origins. Yeah, I guess their
heroes, there's villains. I guessthe storylines are that similar. And it's
it's if you look at it You'relike, oh, what is this?

(05:28):
You know, you have these incrediblyathletic people doing flips and jumps and smashing
each other chairs, you know, and then you've got people who are sitting
around, you know, reading andwriting comic books. Where's the connection?
But it is an incredible connection. It always has been at our shows.
By do you why do you thinksuperheroes have always worn capes since the thirties,
totally totally tied to wrestling. Yeah, but if you look at wrestling

(05:49):
characters, they are in many respectslarger than life. There they are accomplishing
superhuman feats. The first time Isaw Jimmy Superfly snook off the top rope,
I was amazed. And you lookat the athleticism today in wrestling,
which is amazing. What people aredoing in AEW now and in WWE is

(06:12):
absolutely remarkable. And it's men,it's women. I mean, the moves,
the flips, the aerials, it'sreally truly incredible. All that as
a precursor, we're going to geta little bit of all of that at
Comic Con Revolution. And I wantto go back. You said you started
in twenty seventeen, and I rememberour previous conversations where the pandemic did you

(06:36):
know favors? And I know itdid a lot of us know favors?
And I know for a while youdidn't necessarily know what the future was going
to hold. None of us did, but especially with this particular property,
you didn't know what the future wasgoing to hold. Tell that story again,
how you made it through the pandemic? Well, I mean, much
like everyone, it was really justwhat is this? Nobody's ever experienced anything

(06:58):
like this? What do we dohave an event that sole purpose is to
bring thousands of people in an enclosedroom? So right, so it's kind
of like, what's the worst possiblething you can have? There? You
go? So we we truly didn'tknow, you know when it first was
announced. And the wild thing wasthat was that March. My partners James

(07:18):
and Mike and I we were ona plane flying out that night to do
about a two month advance walk throughprep the whole thing, and I fell
asleep and they woke me up screamingat me. Do you know what's going
on? And I was like, are we going down? You know?
And they're like, worst, don'tstart on a plane right right? And
do you know what's going on.So, you know, we got there

(07:40):
and I was like, what arethey gonna do? What is this going
to last? Like a week? You know, a month? Come on?
So we all thought right, andthen it became obviously this incredible experience
in situation for everybody, but wedidn't know. But when restrictions started to
change and things started to mellow alittle bit, we said we got to
get something going. We can't waittill our dates came around, and we

(08:03):
jumped in on a date the conventioncenter had been closed, and they like,
hey, if you could get somethingin in the end of the year,
let's just do it. And wework with the Ontario Convention Center and
they're amazing out there. They havethis is an incredible team, and we
put it together and people were chompingat the bit to get back out.
All the restrictions were in place, everyone was wearing masks, we were doing
distancing, you know, the wholething. But it just showed that people

(08:26):
were ready to get back into it. And that was December of twenty one.
We then came back in May oftwenty two, and then last year
obviously in May of twenty three, and now May of twenty four and our
last year show was our biggest showever. We did a whole Avatar the
Last A bendercast reunion had never beendone before, and people loved it.
And this year we're tracking the sameway. They're thrilled at these Star Wars

(08:48):
reunions that were bringing back. Theylove the comic talent, and we're going
to jam pack that convention Center againthis weekend when we come back. I
would love to get into the StarWars reunions, given that we are in
Star Wars Month and people are moreaware and sensitive to all things Star Wars
in the month of May than anyother time of year. My guest right

(09:09):
now is Drew Selden, who joinsme in studio. We're talking about Comic
Con Revolution. He's a Comic ConRevolution CEO is coming up this weekend May
eighteenth and May nineteenth at the OntarioConvention Center. I don't know, I'm
gonna put him on a spot. Are we giving away any tickets tonight?
Yeah? Why not? Okay, then we're gonna give away some tickets tonight.
You're listening to Later with Moe Kellyon demand from KFI AM six forty.

(09:33):
My guest in studio right now isDrew Seldon, who is the CEO
of Comic Con Revolution and Comic ConRevolution is coming to the Inland Empire the
Ontario Convention Center this weekend Saturday andSunday, May eighteenth and May nineteenth.
Let's pick it up right there,Drew, what should people be ready for
or not even be able to preparefor? Because I know you have a

(09:56):
lot of great guests, you havea lot of great panel discuss what's going
on this weekend? Okay, sowhat's going on everything and anything related to
the magic of comics and pop cultureand we're really doing some incredible stuff.
We have three panels that I'm goingto highlight today because you're actually gonna need

(10:16):
a risk man to get into thembecause we're expecting to be a capacity.
So we have a Clone Wars Reunionpanel, which is featuring our four leads
that we're bringing in from the CloneWars cartoon series. And you know,
it's an opportunity to meet the oneand only Ashley Eckstein, who is the
voice of Ahsokatano, and she isjust unbelievable. This is a person who

(10:39):
is a voice talent that got toroll to voice a character in an incredibly
world known popular sci fi universe calledStar Wars, and it was a brand
new character. Did you know thatshe's easy on the eyes too, Yes,
but she is just a she's justshe's she was just referred to by
my daughter her as a ray ofsunshine, and she really is. Because

(11:01):
she loves the fans, she lovesthe convention, she loves you know,
the character that really she gave lifeto, and it's the character of Ahsokatano.
And you know, Star Wars fans, you may or man out of
heard this can be a little prickly. No, they can, they can't.
I know. I don't want tobe the one to break this everybody,
but you know, she came inand it was this character that nobody

(11:22):
knew what to do with. Andthe popularity that she gave life to this
character is unbelievable. There's no StarWars Disney Plus show without her, No,
definitely not. It just doesn't happen, no, I mean. And
the show was unbelievable, and theytook it in places, and she guest
starred in the other shows. LikeI said, it really was such a

(11:43):
unique. If you are in yourforties and fifties and you grew up on
the original trilogy, and you know, Star Wars has been part of basically
your whole life. This character wasinvented out of nowhere, you know,
it wasn't from the movies, andreally she is so beloved that it's remarkable.
So that's one thing we're Also wehave another Star Wars it's a clone
Wars panel. Excuse me, it'sa Rebels panel. Unfortunately, we had

(12:07):
a couple of the people be unableto make the show, but most of
the cast is going to be there. We have an X Men ninety seven
panel, which most of the voicecast is going to be there. And
this is the hottest say I'm kindof jealous, kind of jealous, Well
you can come. I'm still kindof jealous, all right now. So
those are the three panels that reallyare gonna you know, you're going to

(12:28):
need to really plan for if youif you definitely want to be a part
of because there's going to be limitedavailability. Because again, once the room's
a capacity, it's a capacity. When you say limited availability, when you
say the words comic con, forsome people who may not know, it
evokes the visions of one hundred andfifty thousand people in San Diego. That's

(12:50):
their only reference point. But thisis going to give you, i'll say,
a large slice of that feeling, but you're not going to be as
tightly packed. Is that fair tosay? Yeah, it's one hundred percent.
No. I mean when I saylimited availability, it's because the room
only holds five hundred people, youknow, or three hundred and fifty people
some of the rooms, you know, whatever that number is. Uh,
So that's why I say that. But yeah, I mean again, last

(13:13):
year, we had about eighteen thousandpeople circulate through the show over the weekend,
and we're expecting about that again thistime. But it's it's that's the
right amount of people for the OntarioConvention Center. God. No, Why
the Inland Empire, I know why. It's I think it's an untapped resource
or a place where you know,I think it's been begging for something like

(13:35):
this. But when you take meback to twenty sixteen or twenty seventeen,
why was the decision made to gothrough the Inland Empire, Well, we
were looking for an untapped market. You know, you could throw a darter
to board and you're going to hita comic convention weekend and city fifty two
weeks out of the year, there'sno doubt about it, and sometimes you're
going to hit three or four.So you know, we were looking an

(13:58):
underserved area and a weekend that wasimpacted with other shows. We broke out
the charts, we broke out thegraphs, and we circled in on a
couple of places in the Inland Empire, home to twelve million plus people.
They don't have to drive million, they don't have to drive all the way
to the LA Convention Center, theydon't have to drive all the way to
Palm Springs, and it seemed, you know, there was nothing major that

(14:20):
weekend that was going to be indirect competition with us on the West coast,
and that's why we settled there. There was science and work that went
into choosing it. Wait a minute, I'm scrolling this list. Mark Greg
the Hammer Valentine is going to bethere. Aha, Okay, and the
honky talk man Smode Joe. Look, take me back, take me back.

(14:46):
And I think this is a partof the allure for everyone that speaks
to my childhood actually almost into myadulthood. Such fond memories, great entertainment
and to be able to meet alot of these people. Those are some
special memories. Yeah, absolutely, and it invokes those memories. And what
I love about cons and talent thatreally wants to be there and meet their

(15:07):
fans is they have a great timetoo. You know, you go to
some cons and guests are sitting thereand they're on their phone and their heads
down, and you know that theydon't really want to fully interact or whatever.
And then you have other guests whoare getting up and they're running to
people in costume, and those arethe kind of guests we try and bring
in because really that makes the experience. If you're coming to the show and

(15:30):
you're getting ready to meet your heroes, your heroes have to deliver otherwise you
walk out of there. Letdown.See they always say never meet your heroes,
but this is a time in spaceand place where you kind of do
want to meet your heroes one hundredpercent. I mean, you know,
listen, there's a bunch of usout there who met you know, Bill
Shatner, We know what it's liketo meet heroes. Look ahead, rub
it in. I've met it evenmore than once. Mark Ronner for whatever

(15:54):
reasons, I guess he just wasn'ta big enough name to get tied spend
a lot of time with Nimoy.Does that count? Yes? Yes?
Does that cancel the two of youout? I mean the second in command?
Yeah? I get I guess yougot to know your place. I
mean I hung out with a Huroas well, so you know. Then
there's that. Here's a contest.Really nobody can, but it's fun playing

(16:18):
Before we go to break, Isaid last segment that we were going to
give away some tickets to Comic ConRevolution. This would be a good time
to do it. If how manytickets do you want to give away?
I don't want to step on yourtoes. I don't listen. What do
you want to do? Let's havefun? What about a family four pack?
Cool? Okay, I'm going toopen up the lines and drewe you're
gonna give me a number between oneand ten. Gotta go with seven.

(16:44):
Call her number seven. If you'recalling number seven, a family four pack
to Comic Con Revolution at the OntarioConvention Center in the Inland Empire, call
her number seven, a family fourpack to Comic Con Revolution at the Ontario
Convention Center this weekend. You gottabe able to go this weekend May eighteenth
and May nineteenth, and the InlandEmpire Family four Pack is yours. If

(17:06):
you are caller number seven, thefamily four pack is yours. It's later
with mo Kelly. We have anothersegment with Drew Selden of Comic Con Revolution
in just one moment. This laterwith Mokelly Live Everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
And I'm continuing my conversation with ComicCon Revolution CEO Drew Seldon, who
joins me in studio. We justgave away a family four pack. Comic

(17:30):
Con Revolution is the Inland Empire's largestcomic and pop culture events. This weekend
May eighteenth and May nineteenth, It'sreturning to the Ontario Convention Center. I
forgot to ask Tawalla who our winnerwas. But from what I understand,
very excited. Some kids will begoing in. Let's talk about the kids.

(17:51):
How these conventions, these moments willforge lifelong memories. Yeah, listen,
when a kid comes in, it'skind of magical. And my daughter
can attest, and we have acouple of great stories. So there was
one of our shows, a littlegirl came in and she was a Princess
Leiah from a new Hope. Soshe had the white thing, you know,

(18:14):
the hood or whatever, the whiteoutfit, and whether she knew who
she was and she knew why shewas dressed that way, she had no
clue, but she was so happybecause everyone was just gushing about her.
And you know, again, Idon't know if she knew why, but
that was the joy. And weused to give out medals as for our
cosplay contest winners, and I gaveher one of the medals for just you

(18:36):
know, being incredible, and shelit up. And even my own daughter
who came to the show, shegot to meet Kevin Conroy rest his soul.
Yeah, and she was a tremendousis still a tremendous Batman fan,
and watching her light up from that. But they come dressed up, or
they see someone dressed up, Theysee Jedis, they see superheroes, they

(18:56):
see jokers, you know, theysee just wild the crazy costumes that just
boggle the mind and throw the imagination. We actually do a whole kids cosplay
contest, so they're not compeding againstthe adults, and it's their stage and
that's hosted by two people, MingChin from AMC Comic AMC comic book men

(19:18):
who's a great friend of the company, and Angie Viper who's a professional cos
player. And in addition to thekids, they run the adult cosplay contest
which is Saturday and the kids onea Sunday, and the kids get prizes
and again they get to parade acrossthe stage and show off what they help
make or what they're wearing, andeveryone's clapping for them and it's magical.
They love it. And also kidswill have an under are free by the

(19:40):
way to come to the show witha paid adult ticket. You should have
led with that. Each year inwhich I may talk to you, I
ask you a version of this questionbecause I think it's relevant each and every
year. I know that a portionof you is still a kid, and
I know a portion of you revelsin this. Even though you have the

(20:02):
responsibility of running it, that childinside of you still gets to enjoy it,
right absolutely. I mean, inthe end, work is work.
If you're happy, if you're luckyenough to be happy when you are working,
you're one of the luckiest people inthe world. So again, is
it grueling? Are their headaches? Is it stress? Of course, because
that's what work is. But thisSaturday. I get to meet all those

(20:26):
people too. I haven't met alot of them yet. I get to
meet all of them, I meanpeople. Also we haven't mentioned yet.
Ross Markwan from Walking Dead is coming, Adrian Policky from The Orville, from
John Wick from G I O GI oh G I Joe is coming.
It's a little late. It's alittle late, I'm saying, you know.

(20:47):
And and there's also there's people fromVanessa Marshall is coming. You know.
We we added uh today. Weadded Uh the voice the voice of
Assage Interests from Rebels and from CloneWars, Nikaia Futterman, who's also in

(21:07):
voice in the Sonic the Hedgehog Games. We added Christopher Judge this week from
Stargate. Yes, and he's alsothe voice of Credos from the God of
War Games. I didn't know that, Yeah, I know that. So,
like I said, And these peopleand Tarren Manning from Orange is the
New Black. So, like Isaid, we added all these people in
the in the last couple of days, which is exciting. So again the

(21:30):
idea of continuing to build the showuntil the last minute is thrilling. But
yes, like I said, Iget to meet all these people to this
weekend, so I can't wait.Well. Shout out to our family four
pack winner Kelly Copeland from Lake Elsinore, who will be taking the family to
the event. I was being toldby Tuala that they were going crazy on

(21:51):
the phone and and that makes mefeel good because I know that there's going
to be some wonderful family memories whichare going to be made this weekend,
which on a state for life.Yeah, I absolutely hope. So and
Kelly, when you get in andyou check in, please tell somebody to
get Drew. I want to meetyou guys. I want to thank you
for listening, and I want tothank you for coming out very quickly.

(22:11):
I know that people who didn't winthe tickets probably want to know more.
They can go to Comic Conrevolution dotcom to get information, But let the
last words be yours as far aswhy they should come out and the whole
point of it all. The wholepoint of it all is just a great
family fun weekend. It's a comiccon, it's a pop culture event.

(22:33):
Is going to be people to meetcelebrities. There's going to be panels to
listen to, to enjoy, tolearn, to hear behind the scenes stories
from X Men ninety seven from StarWars, rebels from Star Wars, Clone
Wars from Adrian Pelicki, who funnyenough, they're going to do She's going
to do like a career kind ofretrospective and it's actually hosted by her brother
who's a comic artist, and they'veactually written a comic together, so that'll

(22:56):
be also fun to you know, see your brother sister Banter who are in
that kind of thing. There's gonnabe wrestling panels, there's going to be
how to build your own lightsaber panels, there's going to be cosplay contests.
You know. There's just gonna bea fun general environment to enjoy to experience.
If you're a hardcore collected, We'vegot plenty of booths selling comics from

(23:17):
all eras, you know. Ifthere's gonna be boxes mark graphic novels so
that we'll definitely have them there too. If you need to get your stuff
graded, we're gonna have opportunities forthat. If you need to get your
autographs authenticated, JASA is going tobe there for that. If you're hungry,
there's going to be food trucks forthat. Again, it's really it's

(23:38):
a great weekend. Bring the family, have a great time. And also
just to our Instagram followers, Isaid I was going to announce another contest
if you were Justice League Unlimited fan. The final episode, Superman was fighting
dark Side and gave a wonderful speech. First person who finds me at the
show this weekend and recites that oneto me. I've gotten a couple of

(24:02):
autograph prize packages from guests and frompast years for you, so say one
more time, just in case theyweren't ready for that. All right,
are you ready now? Justice LeagueUnlimited final episode, Superman is fighting Darkseide
and he gives a great speech slashmonologue. First person who finds me this
weekend at the show recites it tome. I got some autographs from past

(24:23):

you, so look on look outfor me. And these are just FROMO
Kelly listening pastors. So that meansyou have to find Drew Seldon, who
is Comic Con Revolution CEO. Goto Comic Conrevolution dot com. There are

in the center of the Inland Empire. Drew Seldon, Let's do this
every single year. I appreciate you, and each time we may cover some
of the same ground, but wealso cover new ground because I'm finding more

(25:07):
and more people are now discovering ComicCon Revolution and they need to know more
about it. Yes, I loveit. I appreciate you guys having me
on. You guys are the best, and I would love to come back
year after year and continue to talkabout this when you and I are,
you know, both coming here fromthe old Age home, so well,
we're getting closer to that. Asa matter of fact, that would be
great. Jud my friend. Alwaysgood to see you, you too,

(25:29):

But here's the real hint. Justkeep on listening to Later with mo

(26:57):
out of here. I do needto go around the room because we haven't
really checked in to figure out whateveryone is watching these days. Stephan,
What is on your television watch listright about now? I actually just finished
Baby Reindeer, which is apparently atrue story about a crazy stalker. That's

(27:18):
not a spoiler, that's right inthe beginning. But it's one of those
shows where you're like, okay, another one, but three episodes in they
start developed, or they start goingback in the character's background and it gets
crazy dark, really dark. Andit's only it's a limited series, so
it's only like eight episodes. Realeasy binge for a weekend. All right,

(27:41):
all right, what about you?Mark Ronner? I actually popped in
on the show Fush was just talkingabout and it was a bit much for
me. I backed right out.You the horror fan. There's some stuff
in there that made me a littleuncomfortable. Anyway. I have been catching
up with Curb Your Enthusiasm. Thefinal season has wrapped, and when you
had Marcia Collier in talking text stuff. There's the funniest part in the first

(28:03):
episode of the final season where Larry'strying to talk to Siri and get directions
in his car and he loses hismind, and then he starts shouting and
swearing at her and calling her namesthat we can't say here on the public's
airwaves. You must see this.Oh, we can say it. We
just wouldn't be able to say itagain the next day because we would be
suspended. It would be replaced.Yes, yes, we are all very

(28:25):
much replacement Curb. Your enthusiasm isstill hilarious. What twelve season's in?
I gotta ask Robin. I don'tknow if you can hear me. Robin
is also working on The Ones andtwos. What are you watching on TV
or streaming these days? Elizabeth?Oh? Yeah, Now, I we've
had Cary Preston on the show beforeEqualizer. We have a tie to both

(28:49):
of those shows. Carry Preston hasbeen on the show with us before.
And also Vanessa Herron, who usedto work as an editor here at KFI.
She writes for The Equalizer and thelast two I think the most recent
episode. She wrote that episode. So I'm glad that you're supporting The Equalizer
because you're basically supporting KFI. Oneperson removed, Vanessa Herrin, who used

(29:14):
to work here in the news department. I like The Equalizer. Now,
I wonder would you be open tothis? Have you seen The Equalizer of
movies? I think the first one? Okay, there was talk about possibly
combining both Queen Latifa and Denzel Washington, who I'm just telling you that it's

(29:34):
out there where they would have QueenLatifa like the niece of Denzel Washington's Robert
McCall character. Look, it's allabout money, and they would be able
to monetize both franchises. I justsay it's a good idea. I said,
it's an idea of being bandied about. I'm curious about the Queen Latifa
show because just as a matter ofprinciple, I wasn't watching it because I

(29:56):
love the Edward Woodward Show. SoEdward Woodward is just a fun name to
repeat to yourself until it's completely meaningless. Woodward, which name was that?
Edward Woodward? How is the QueenLatifa version of The Equalizer? Can she
sell it with the violence and stuff? I don't know if she can because
it's a TV show and you're limitedas far as what you can say,

(30:18):
what you can do. She hashad some fight scenes, but it's broadcast
television, you know. The limitationsof broadcast television, of course, but
you got to remember the original Equalizer. He was kind of an elderly man
when the show took place, andso it wasn't like those fights were completely
realistic. Basically, you'd have toget up close enough to somebody tone him

(30:38):
in the crotch or something. Well, to Denzel Washington's credit, he's done
a pretty admirable job of trying tosell it. This last one I wasn't
a fan of. He had reallyslowed down, I mean really slowed down.
Yeah, there's only so much youcan cover up with with the fight

(30:59):
choreography. Yeah, and quick cutsin the editing. I've seen all the
all three of Denzel's Equalizer movies, and they're terrible, but they're fairly The
first one was good. The firstone is laugh out The second one was
was was horrible. I can barelydo this with you. The first the
first one was like an advertisement forhome Depot, first of all, which

(31:22):
offended me just to the home marked. It wasn't home Depot with homemarked.
I was defended all the way downto my DNA by that alone. But
no, it was it was laughout loud, silly. The slow motion
shots of him getting ready to mixit up with people. Come on,
that's the whole thing. He looksat his watch and counts down and got
like nine seconds before he you know, rubbed everyone out. Not a fan,

(31:45):
I'm a fan of violence. Soif you could just fast forward to
those parts, it had plenty ofviolence in that movie. They had drill
bits and I'm sorry, go ahead, Robin Oh the streaming platform, Oh
deja fou. That's That's actually oneof my preferred Denzel Washington movies. I
actually wish they did a sequel oran update to it, because I would

(32:06):
like to hear more about that story. It's quasi time travel. I say,
quasi. You have to see themovie to know this not really time
travel, but they're trying to undoan event. I think that's on two
B right now, isn't it?Probably is. I mean it's been out
forever, so, I mean youcan probably find it a number of places.
But it was really underrated, underrated. Have you seen it? Mark?
It's not I would recommend. Idon't remember because during that period was

(32:30):
he did fallen around that time andI like falling too, and I remember
I think I fell asleep seeing Fallenat a drive in and I was with
the long Suffering One and she waspetrified with fear because it's kind of a
creepy movie. It is like, how could you sleep through that? So,
yeah, that one's on me.Okay, I gotta go back.
And man, you're not a goodjudge of movies. I can see that.

(32:52):
I'm not a good partner in amovie either. Apparently. Well that's
between you and the long Suffering One. I won't get in that. Well,
and you now we see all tomorrow? You know what tomorrow is?
Name that movie? Cult classic,no theme, but a lot of fun.
