Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It is now time for the game where you choose
your own cinematic adventure. There are ten movie clips that
we have assembled from various decades in American movie history,
as we do each and every Friday night, and your
job is to pick one and then name the movie
from which it comes. Some days we play for prizes
and some days we play for fun. After hearing the clip,

(00:31):
you can ask for help from anyone in the studio
or in your house. You can google, you can text
a friend, you can lie, cheat, steal, we don't care.
But the answer is up to you. You'll have thirty
seconds from the end of the clip and one hint
from those of us in the studio to give the
right answer.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Now, let's get to it. This is name that movie.
Cult classic passes are on the line.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
You and a guest will be able to attend the
Later with mo Kelly first hopefully annual pre Halloween. Soare
brought to you by Wendy's Restaurants right here at the
Honda Studios, part of iHeartMedia. It's not in the regular studio,
it's in the big performance studio, usually the music stations upstairs.

(01:24):
They'll bring in all sorts of talent and they'll do
like many concerts in there. So this is a this
is an event, this is something special. Okay, we're encouraging
you to come in costume because we will be giving
away other cool prizes to only the people in the room.
And if you're in the queue right now waiting to play,

(01:46):
you're on your way to the party. So let's just
have some fun. Let's start off tonight with Kimberly and Murietta. Kimberly,
good evening.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
How are you hi?

good answer. It would be a biggest fan.

Yeah, you probably wouldn't be able to get back in
the house. So yeah, we don't want that. No, well,
Tuala is going to get your information, and I look

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I can't stand it. I'm jealous. Okay, Kiberly, hold on,
We're going to get your information. Thanks so much for

Let's go to John in West Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
John, good evening. How's your evening going so far? Bye,
I'm doing great, doing great. How's your evening?

Speaker 12 (04:52):
Good?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Good? Good? You know how we play this game?

Speaker 10 (04:55):
Yeah, I do.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Okay, you can choose any number except three nine. Here
we go.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
It was a dark knife in Lord Batswana, giant ulah
Oula flies gloom was still air Leave Kate, the screeching
war cry of the Ottoman hall.

Speaker 11 (05:13):
Where they outman that year?

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Nah, you're in our world.

Speaker 10 (05:18):
On it now? Out?

Speaker 11 (05:20):
Oh my, I'm afraid. Sure, I'm scared. Everybody if Botswana scared?
He looks like curtains.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
This faith is just dreaming for Drake Joe. Worry about
the Ottomans.

Speaker 11 (05:32):
They're just wis. They're all tough. I knew an Ottoman
eagle scout.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
He got a merit badge and wholesale slaughter.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Come on, Ottomans, take a piece of lead. What we
need is the high ground.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
The high ground is no good without tree.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Raimond Romans Botswanian leaming me on trees.

Speaker 11 (05:54):
There ain't no trees in Bottmana. Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
I know I'm a Boswenian lamber jack.

Speaker 11 (05:59):
Then I ain't never have to doe.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
John. Do you know this movie? I was gonna say
Beatles Juice, but I don't think it is no no,
but you're in the neighborhood.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
It stars an actor who I think was so very
talented and underappreciated. And this was like one of four
movies in which he played this character. One movie he
went to camp. He's no longer with us. Let me

(06:31):
see what's it? What's the the long.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Version of the name Ernie Ernest.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
M h oh, that's that's one of the movies in
the series, but not this movie. Remember the theme.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Ernest and Halloween. It is it is connected to Halloween, Yes,
it is Ernest Halloween something.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Okay, do you remember the old series where they take
these kids to prison and they try to persuade him.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
To never end up in prison? I mean scared straight. Yes,
so we have earnest and scared.

Speaker 9 (07:18):
And scared Halloween.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
What's the opposite of smart but not done? Don't uh
another word? Yes, put it all together? Scared stupid? There
it is Halloween.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yes, yes, Now we probably have not seen the movie,
but it's actually pretty funny because Jim Varney, the actor
of the late Jeff Varney, is really really talented in
a way actually reminiscent of Jim.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Carrey physical humor. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
He yeah, very very talent, and I think he just
never found the right vehicle to best showcases talent.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Anyway, Well, John, are we going to see you at
the end of the month here?

Speaker 10 (08:10):
Yeah, I've got a great costume.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Oh oh wait work, Oh oh, you're gonna call your shot?
All right? Who are you bringing? I might bring a
girlfriend if I can find one you got time to
look for, but I'll probably I'm made to come by
myself and bringing somebody. We'll see. All right. Well, we'll
be in touch with you to make sure we confirm
you and your guests. John, look all right, Thank you, Mo.

(08:33):
Can't wait to meet you. Have a great weekend.

It's there with you too. You're not drinking, Anthony. I
admit this is a hard one, but you know people
were telling me was too easy.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
So there's some hard clips in here, and you, unfortunately
chose a very difficult one.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Do you need a hint or three?

Speaker 10 (20:24):
I need about seven, man, Okay.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
The most prominent voice in that clip was Adrian Barbo,
who plays a great drunk. And it also stars Hal
Holbrook and Leslie Nielsen, and there are a bunch of
other stars because there are different segments within the movie.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Mark, you want to weigh in because I know you
do it now?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Yeah, now I know it. I wasn't paying attention. I
was working on some new stuff, but it's based on
the old EC comics like Tales from the Crypt and
Vault of Horror.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Yes, yeah, people know, but.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
If you haven't seen it recently, it makes it a
little bit more difficult because when I saw.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, Adrian Barbo, Yeah how old?

Speaker 11 (21:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (21:12):

lunch trucks.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
What's out there?

Speaker 10 (21:40):
Mark? Mark was just talking about the lunch trucks with
the metaphetamin.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Mark quick.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Oh that's a nice callback. Okay, well done.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
No, no, no, no, we don't.

Speaker 11 (21:51):
You don't know that.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
I don't listen to Mark. I don't even know who
he is. And when he's doing the news, I never
listened to him. So whatever.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
It's a funny because people sometimes when they call it,
or actually when they message me and they complained and say,
why did Mark do such and such story?

Speaker 3 (22:04):
And I tell people I have no idea what stories
he's doing. I'm usually going to the bathroom and getting
food or something during the news break. What was the story?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Mark?

Speaker 4 (22:11):
It's important for you to know that everything moj just
said was completely made up. Police found Police found meth
and a bunch of guns in a food truck in Fontana. Okay,
that's not the taco trucks on every corner we were promised.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
That's Anthony. Well played, very very well played. Damn, you're
gonna fit right.

Speaker 10 (22:31):
In with us. Yeah, man, it sounds like we're gonna
do great.

Speaker 8 (22:34):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Well, I'll look forward to see you very soon. Be
safe this weekend, all right for sure?

Speaker 10 (22:40):
Man, you too.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
All right, let's go to Matt in Long beach. What's
going on?

Speaker 6 (22:45):
Matt?

Speaker 11 (22:46):
Hey, mo, how you doing tonight?

great week and a great month. Can't wait till the
end of the month. We're gonna have this party. Are
you gonna be joining us?

Speaker 10 (22:56):
Matt, heck yeah, I will be.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Well, then let's just get to the fun part. I
need you to choose the number either one, two, six,
eight or ten.

Speaker 10 (23:07):
Let's go ten, double digit?

Speaker 3 (23:08):
All right? And next time I said we're going to
the lake, We're going to the lake.

Speaker 11 (23:13):
Let's good.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Get away from her. I lost her once. I don't
intend to let it happen again. This is not Elizabeth Ramsey.
You tell him the truth. I don't know what you're
talking about. Well, now you've got amnesia.

Speaker 11 (23:27):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Elizabeth didn't kill herself.

Speaker 11 (23:29):
He didn't.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
He's been lying to you all along.

Speaker 12 (23:32):
I'm warning you, sir, step away.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
No thing just because you pull out your sor I'm
gonna let you marry my wife.

Speaker 12 (23:38):
My patience is wearing thin.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Elizabeth, please come along. I'm not Elizabeth, you must be.

Speaker 11 (23:46):
Her name is Sarah.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
She's from New Jersey. Ramsey wants you to think she's Elizabeth.
So there's a urse to be lifted. That is absurd.
Forgive ma'am. Hey, you're gonna kill me, kill me?

Speaker 11 (23:58):
Listen.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
I come on the other side. I'm whipping your ass
on all eternity. So maybe you should read this before
you're standing read Matt in Long Beach. Do you know
this movie?

Speaker 10 (24:08):
I have no idea.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
All I know is there's some guy talking with a
chansa plantic accent onmets, but I don't know anything else
about it.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Did you not recognize the comedic actor's voice in it?
I know it can be difficult over the phone.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
No, I couldn't.

Speaker 10 (24:23):
It's a lot easier playing over the radio.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
I'm sure. I'm sure. Well it's Eddie Murphy. Does that
give it away for you?

Speaker 9 (24:29):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Almost Disneyland? Oh Haunted? There we go. Well done. Now
all you need to tell me who you bringing to
the party?

Speaker 11 (24:49):
My wife?

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Good answer? Right? And do you know what you'll be
dressed up as at this point?

Speaker 10 (24:59):
Have you?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I have an idea in my head? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Okay, all right, keep planning, get ready because the competition
is gonna be stiff, and we're gonna have some really
cool prizes to give away.

Speaker 12 (25:12):
Alrighty, then all right.

Who would have thought the Bermuda Triangle could change a
man so much, used to toss and turn all night.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
We have to change you to the bedpost.

Speaker 12 (27:18):
It doesn't make sense. The Bermuda Triangle. It's a very
strange and mysterious place.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
You'd be surprised at all the things you don't know.

Speaker 12 (27:32):
She certainly would. Wednesday Door is the Bermuda Triangle.

Speaker 11 (27:36):
She studies it. Death would see. She's hooked.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Ask me anything, Nima, do you recognize that movie? There
are some clues in the clip.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
Wow, No, night's been uh, pretty tough clips.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Okay, think of it this way. There was a reference
to a character by the name of Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
In the clip.

Speaker 10 (28:01):
Badam's Family.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Correct, Yes, well.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
I try to make it easy sometimes, put some clues
in the cliffs. Yes, yes, Adams, Stanley, Laraul, Julia.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Well, yeah, it.

Speaker 10 (28:15):
Didn't help that I was googling a Bermuda triangle. It's
a very strange place.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Now. That wouldn't have helped you at that time. Well, no,
it did not.

Speaker 10 (28:24):
It gave me some stupid search.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Very quickly before I let you go. Are you are
you going to be joining us on the thirtieth. I will.

crush in Mark Runner.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Aw hell, here we go.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
You've just infuriated the host of the show. No, no,
it's okay, it's all right, it's all right. I'm not jealous. Now,
you're much bigger than that. You're a bigger man than that.
Everybody knows Courtney. You can choose number one, six or eight.

Speaker 5 (29:39):
Let's go for number one.

Speaker 13 (29:42):
The millennium is almost upon us. In a few months,
we will be living in the nineteenth century, yet our
courts continue to rely on medieval devices of torture. Stand down,
I stand up for since and justice. How would jails
overflow with men and women convicted on confessions with no?

Speaker 7 (30:00):
This once of a crane? This is a song that
we have heard from you more than once. No, there
are two courses open to me. First, I can let
you cool your heels in the cells until you learn
respect for the dignity of my office.

Speaker 13 (30:18):
I beg party, But why am I the only one
who sees that? To solve crimes, to detect the guilty,
we must use our brains to recognize vital clues using
up to date scientific techniques.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Courtney and Lake Arrowhead, did you catch the big clue
in that clip?

Speaker 5 (30:38):
I cut something that makes me think Tracula, but I
don't know none of the rest of it. There is
something that's crane or I don't know.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
That was the clue. That's the crew, She's so close,
that's the clue. Oh who would be named crane?

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Crane?

Speaker 10 (30:59):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (31:01):
The headless horsemen?

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Right right right? You got this location, sleepy hollow?

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Yes, yes, well done, Courtney, well done.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Well done. Who you bringing to the party.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
I don't know my mom or my dad.

Speaker 10 (31:23):

Speaker 5 (31:23):
They're both sitting here with me party.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
How old are you are you at least.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Okay, okay, Well, blessings to you that both.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
We were just in my arcade playing pinball, and I'm like,
it would be nice if I could think you, but
oh I love her.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
You are one of us.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Oh yeah, you are one of us if you have pinball,
And blessings to you that you still have both your parents.
That's absolutely wonderful. Yeah, well, I know this is what
I'm gonna do. I'm going to put you on hold.
I'm gonna make Tolla come back and talk to you
and see if you can convince him. Okay, all right, awesome,
thank you so much, Thank you so much, and have

(32:05):
a great weekend.

Speaker 5 (32:07):
Okay, you too.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
And closing us out tonight is Carl and Wittier. Carl,
you ready to do this, my brother?

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yes, I am, all right. And it goes without saying.
You're coming on the thirtieth, right, dude, of course. Okay,
so you can choose six.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Or eight, six or eight?

Speaker 13 (32:39):
Why Gallard have a vampile prowls, tonight, chilling rats and poodles.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
You could have finished us both. You condemn me to hell.

Speaker 12 (32:46):
I don't know any hell.

Speaker 11 (32:54):
That's more than.

Speaker 12 (32:56):
You're That's why I chose you.

Brass, chickens, poodles. I'll lead you to it and what
you come around. Just remember life without me would be
even more unbearable.

Speaker 11 (33:34):
Carl.

Is that Tom Cruise? Yes, interview with the vampire.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
My man, there we go. Yeah, well done, sir, well done.
So who are you bringing to the party?

Speaker 10 (33:53):
If not, my wife will be going stag just because
of schedules and stuff like that.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
But yeah, I'll be all right.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Have you chosen a costume yet, at least in theory?

Speaker 10 (34:04):
In theory, yes, if I could pull it off, it
should be awesome, all.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Right, all right then I look forward to meeting you
on the thirtieth. Carl.
