Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kf I AM sixty. You're listening to Later with Moe
Kelly on demand on the iHeartRadio app. So you know
it's time to find out what's happening. If you're not
time for what's happening, Elman, I love just giving you
a hard time just because we've worked together a long time.

(00:23):
That's the best part about live radio. Stuff happens. And
speaking of things which are happening in and around the Southland,
it's hot.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
What's happening is brought to you by Trajan Wealth. Trajan
Wealth is going to help you set and achieve your
financial goals for retirement, your local trusted financial fiduciary Trajanwealth
dot com.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's still hot. It's hot everywhere, and that's one thing
about working on Burbank. It's hot times. Ten Weather officials
are advising somethn California residents, especially those who live away
from the coast, a significant warm up is on the
way that's going to last until the end of this
week or at least a work week, and per the

(01:04):
National Weather Service their Area Forecast discussion, many areas across
the region will experience high temperatures triple digits that are
five to ten degrees above normal, And I don't know
about you. As I get older, the less tolerant I
am of any swing in temperature. I don't mind the

(01:25):
warmer weather, but when you're talking about triple digits, that's
way too hot for me. And I like staying inside
with the air conditioning. Also, we talked earlier today at
the top of the show about the unfortunate, tragic events
of what's happening not only in Texas but New Mexico,
and part of the discussion was FEMA's role and how

(01:48):
a state may not have enough resources in and of
itself to handle some of these disasters, and whether FEMA
is involved or not, there are usually other resources which
are called to play. Remember how we had the fires
here and we had first responders coming in from Arizona,
and I think even Utah, I'm not mistaken. Other states

(02:10):
were helping pitch in. This is happening right now as
SoCal has sent K nine teams. Some members of the
Los Angeles County Fire Department and other departments are helping
join in the search and recovery efforts due to the
catastrophic flooding in Texas. That's a great thing to read
it's unfortunate that it's happened, but it's great to know

(02:32):
that California is helping out where it can, and the
California Governor's Office of Emergency Services has deployed more than
a dozen urban search and rescue teams to help find
the remaining one hundred and sixty people believed to be
missing after that flooding has already killed more than one
hundred and ten people along the Guadaloupe River in Central

(02:53):
Texas over the fourth of July. It's still a rescue
mission at this point, but soon, I'm fortunately it will
probably transfer into a recovery mission. As more and more
time goes by and they're not finding people or signs
of life, then it turns into a recovery mission, unfortunately.

(03:15):
And here's something else you don't hear too often about
bank robberies, if only because they're really difficult to pull
off with today's technology. The types of measures which are
instituted and implemented to make it real difficult to actually
get any real money from a bank. You would think
would be thieves would try something else, but they're still

(03:36):
trying it, and detectives are asking for the public's help
and trying to identify a man who used a note
during two separate bank robberies in Orange County recently. It
doesn't detail specifically when it happened or where it happened.
They're holding on to that information, but the Testin Police

(03:57):
Department said on Facebook that the banks were located in
the Tustin and Santa Ana areas.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Quote.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
During the incidents, the above photograph mail walked into the
banks and presented handwritten notes to the teller which indicated
he had a firearm clothes quote. And this goes back
to what I was saying just a few moments ago.
You don't hear about too many bank robberies because they're
usually not successful. And according to this, the subject failed
to steal any money in either instance. And one more

(04:28):
before we go to break, there's a man who's been
detained after a person was stabbed in fight near the
Walk of Fame and police have detained this person early
actually early this morning. LAPD spokesperson confirmed that officers were
dispatched to the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas
Avenue around two am. When they arrived, they learned several

(04:49):
people were involved in a physical altercation and that an
unidentified man tried to break it up. The man was
then stabbed in the chest with a pocket knife. He
was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. And
I also wanted to mention this because if you didn't
see on THEFI Keanu, is it also on the CAFI
website or just Gary and Shannon Instagram site for what

(05:09):
I'm sorry my training session with Michael Monks.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Oh, it's on the or it's on the KFI instagram,
your instagram and the garyan Channon instagram.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
If you go to any of those Instagram locations, you'll
see a short self defense demonstration about if someone were
to approach me, specifically me on a metro Bus trainer platform,
how I would likely respond. And I was saying earlier,
not as a brag or boat, just as a statement
of fact. I usually carry a non lethal, non metal

(05:39):
weapon and how just about anything can be used as
a weapon, and just demonstrated some self defense tips. And
when I see something about a stabbing, there will always
be someone smart who was saying like, yeah, the martial
arts don't work if someone has a gun. Let me
be very clear, you don't engage someone unless you absolutely

(06:00):
have to if someone is going to assault you, you
defend yourself. If you can see that there's nothing in
their hands and they're trying to assault you, then protect yourself.
When I see a situation where a person is stabbed
near the Walk of Fame, my goal is always to
de escalate. I'm trying to walk away from everything. Almost

(06:21):
got into a situation the night of the fourth of
July outside my house. It was a drunk person who
came into the complex and he was mad about some
kids throwing firecrackers at him, and he wanted to fight someone,
and you had to talk them down off that ledge.
But my point is, you know, safety always begins with
your decision making prior to an incident, not after you

(06:43):
get in a situation. Oh and I also got some
messages via Instagram who are wondering what martial art I take.
It's hop keto. It's a career martial art hap ki
d O, and I've been taking it since I was fifteen.
And if you're curious or ined, and I only bring
this up because people were asking because of what they
saw on Instagram. In fact, I'll be teaching tonight. I'll

(07:06):
be teaching, I'll be helping teach out with my grandmaster
instructor Sean mcclenn at five o'clock, six o'clock, and seven
o'clock classes at songs Hopketo. That's so mng Apostrophees songs
hop Keto in West Los Angeles. It is four three
five four Supulvita Boulevard in Culver City. I'll be there
at five o'clock until eight o'clock tonight. We'll be teaching

(07:28):
the little kiddies at five o'clock, the juniors at six o'clock,
and the adults at seven o'clock. We have law enforcement,
we have adults, kids. It's for all ages, and it's
just in case you're curious about what I do and
have done for the better part of my life. Is
called hop Keto of Korean martial art, and it's fantastic.
I love it. It's the best decision I've made with

(07:49):
my life as far as just keeping myself in healthy
working order. As they get older, it's obviously much more
physically difficult to do, but I can move a little
better than most fifty five year olds, so I will
say that. So it's hop Keto. You can reach me
via songs hop Keto in West, Los Angeles, Culver City
four three five four South Suppulveda Boulevard in Culver City.

(08:12):
I'll be teaching from five to eight pm, and when
we come back, we'll have more of what's happening here
on Gary Shanna Show k if I AM six forty
live everywhere in the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
It's a different vibe, it's a different energy. Yes, I'm
host of Later with Mo Kelly. We talk about different
things later in the evening. It's nice to be able
to sit down on some of these stories and talk
about the issues which are happening right here in Los Angeles.
And also it's fun to be able to give away
one thousand dollars every single hour, like right now. If

(08:48):
they push the button, hopefully soon here it comes.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Now your chance to win one thousand dollars. Just enter
this nationwide keyword on our website bank that's bank ba
NK entering now at KFIAM six forty dot com.

Speaker 1 (09:02):

is everything, call the Winning attorneys at Sweet James one

or Sweet James dot com.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Take that keyword bank and go to KFI AM six
forty dot com, forward slash cash and enter bank there.
Make sure you check your email, you know, your spam folder,
your junk email folder, because they could be there, because
that's how they're going to contact you. If you win,
you don't want to miss your chance to win. And
you know next hour with John Cobel you'll have another

(09:36):
opportunity to win one thousand dollars. And the notes keep
coming in. People keep hitting me on Instagram. No lie,
no exaggeration, they're hitting me at mister m Kelly R
M O K E L L Y. We posted this
video on Instagram at mister Kelly at Garyan Shannon at
Later with mo Kelly at KFI AM six forty of

(09:57):
me doing just some basic self defense with Michael m
from the KFI twenty four hour newsroom, and the response
has been overwhelming, Thank you very much, talking about just
basic self defense in the event that you were just
approached on a metro subway platform, train or bus and
people want more of that. Okay, we will do more.
But in the meantime, you can go to songs Hop

(10:21):
ktowla dot com. That's where I practice, train and teach
songs Hop keto WLA dot com. That's s O n
G s h A p k I d O w
LA dot com. You can get all the information there.
I'll be teaching from five to seven pm. Excuse me,
five to eight pm tonight. Kids and adults. We have
members of law enforcement, first responders, military personnel. Got it

(10:45):
all there. So if anything, just come and watch. You
might be interested for you or your child. Let's get
back to what's happening. I don't know what I would
do in this situation. I think I know what i'd do,
but it's something to think about. What if I told
you about someone and it was you, and you were
receiving hundreds of Amazon packages mistakenly every single day for

(11:11):
more than a year. What would you do? Now, mind you,
let's say nothing of the legitimate packages that you have
asked for. I have maybe four or five on the
way to my house today, and what if you had
to deal with the ones that you did not order
and they're huge, they're oversized, and they're coming to your
house and they're being put on your doorstep. In other words,

(11:32):
it's bringing unnecessary attention. All these big packages. Well that's
what happened to a San Jose woman, and she would
have these huge packages set on her doorstep and each
inside each package was a set of fake leather car
seat covers from a Chinese online seller, and the Amazon
listing advertises the brand selling seat covers supposedly made to

(11:56):
fit various makes and models of Sedan's and SUVs, but
in many of the cases the covers didn't fit because
it's a garbage company, and consumers said they were forced
to pay out a pocket to return them to the
company's return center. So not only were the products shoddy,
it was either a fake or a mistaken address or

(12:16):
a mistake in the address which was put as far
as returns, and they made the customers pay for the return,
so it seems like a sham company all the way around.
What happened is this woman's address was used as the
return address. So all these ill fitting seat covers were
showing up at this lady's doorstep. And according to the woman,

(12:37):
she says, they're just piling up in my garage and
she doesn't know what to do about it. I don't
know what you know what? I know what I would do.
I would have a garage sale and I'd put them
all on my lawn and try to make as much
money as possible just for my inconvenience. If you're going
to have my address, and hopefully she's gotten to take

(12:58):
it down at this point, or the seller has been
removed from Amazon all together, Prime days until the eleven
Amazon Prime until eleven, just in case big sales going on.
I would hope that if you're not going to remove
my address from your online listing, that Amazon will step
in and just take down the seller all together. And
if I can't do that, then I'm just going to

(13:19):
resell all the product pennies on a dollar because she's
not paying out of her pocket, she's just being inconvenience
with all of this product being returned air quotes to
her and it's showing up at her door almost every
single day for more than a year. I would turn
it into my own little superstore, sell them all for
maybe fifteen twenty dollars and make a killing and then

(13:41):
be paid for your pain. That's what I would do.
It doesn't make sense to go through all the trouble
of trying to get it to the rightful owner and
try to get it back to the company because the
company obviously obviously is a sham and they're ripping people off,
and that even though they're sending people the product, they're
not sending people the right product or offering any way
legitimate way for people to refund their money. And that's

(14:04):
what's happening. Let's find out what we're watching. What we're
all watching when we come back at the bottom of
the hour. It's Gary and Shannon. I'm o Kelly and
for Gary and Shannon. Just on this Wednesday, kf I
AM six forty we are live everywhere in the iHeartRadio
app and be sure to check out that video on
Instagram on either KFI AM six forty or Later with
mo Kelly or at mister Mokelly at Gary and Shannon,

(14:24):
you'll be able to see it. Get to see me
beat up Michael Monks because we love her.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
You're listening to Later with mo Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I'm o Kelly in for Gary and Shannon, and it's
been a pleasure sitting in for them. I'm quite sure Elma.
Will they both be back tomorrow? One of them be
back tomorrow, Shannon will be back tomorrow. Shann'll be back tomorrow. Okay, well,
it's it's their show. I'm going to keep it in good,
good condition for them, and you know, at this time,
it's time to find out what you're all watching. The

(14:57):
following program is brought to you in Living, but.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
You're watching in the Americans love television.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
They win their kids.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Collar USA television. You've got watching too many of.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Those live television shows.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Kip knee or back pain. See if arch supports can
help from the Good Feet Store. Definitely check out the
Good Feet Store. And there's some new trailers each one
I'm going to tell you about. They're available right now
at KFI AM six forty dot com, the Gary and
Shannon Show page, and also on their Instagram at Gary

(15:33):
and Shannon. If you're a fan of The Adams Family
or Wednesday, season one was a huge hit. It's returning
to Netflix soon for season two. The trailer is out
for Wednesday now. Me personally, Wednesday Adams and Adams Family
was not a thing for me. I was not a
big Adams Family fan, but I hear from more and
more people saying, you gotta watch Wednesday. You gotta watch Wednesday.

(15:55):
So this might be a time in which I could
take it up, watch season one and then go right
into season two when it comes out. And also there's
a new Cat and the Hat movie which is going
to be coming out, and it's going to be coming
out February twenty seventh, of twenty twenty six. It's not soon,
but it's still coming out. I was a kid who
grew up on Doctor Seuss you probably were two. And

(16:16):
there is a trailer which is now out. We have
that up at kfiam six forty dot com, keyboard Gary
and Shannon and also on the Gary and Shannon Instagram.
And one more that we've posted Sexy Aliens which will
plan to storm Area fifty one in a new documentary
about extra extraterrestrial hoaxes. And that's going to be a

(16:40):
part of train Wreck Storm Area fifty one, which is
premiering July twenty ninth on Netflix. And I have to
say the train Wreck series on Netflix, they're very, very good,
and they're usually like an hour long. They're not like
a multi episode documentary where we have to spend like
maybe five or six hours, you get it all. It's

(17:01):
usually a bridge and you get a good sense of
the story in just about an hour. In fact, I
just watched two of them this week on to watch
the third one tonight. If you remember the late Mayor
Rob Ford from Toronto, the crazy mayor who got caught
smoking crack on video, Now that's Mayor Barry. That's a
different mayor, different politician. But no, no, no, we're talking about

(17:24):
Rob Ford. Hey, Toronto mayor was a sensation, came out
of nowhere, and you could see how Rob Ford kind
of primed the pump for politics that we see today.
As far as you can see, you can you can
draw a comparison between Donald Trump and Rob Ford. It's
a great documentary. Train wreck Mayor of Mayhem just saw

(17:47):
that about Rob Ford and his story, and you'll see
a lot of parallels to today's politics. Very good. And
also I wasn't into I'm not even presently. I'm not
into fashion. That's never been my thing. But I think
most people can remember the company at its peak, American Apparel.
They did all these solid colors and they'd have these
sexualized ads and are wild and crazy CEO. There is

(18:12):
a train Wreck, the Cult of American Apparel documentary that
chronicles the rise and fall of the Cult clothing brand.
It's really good saw that as well, and for someone
who worked in entertainment, which is fashion adjacent, there were
a lot of things in it I did not know
and highly appreciate. It was well worth the time. Again,

(18:33):
it's only like an hour or so. It doesn't take forever.
It's not multi episodes. You don't have to spend multiple
days with it. But they come out maybe one a week,
and since they're only an hour, it's easier for them
to put them out. And in a way, it's kind
of like true crime meets Americana. Good stuff and if
you're just in the mood for some just general entertainment.

(18:56):
I just saw The Old Guard too on Netflix, star
our Charlie Stone. Obviously, it's a sequel to the first one.
The first one was a hit. The second one I
liked it, didn't love it. And let me just give
you spoiler alert. There's a cliffhanger at the end, setting
it up for The Old Guard three. Whether you're gonna
stay around for the third part of the trilogy, don't know,

(19:19):
but it's entertaining enough has plenty of action if you
know what the story is about, Charlie Serone and her
cadre of immortals. They're walking through time, trying to change
the world and make it a better place, as they say,
except there's some stumbles and obstacles and villains they meet
along the way. It's a story which will seem pretty familiar,

(19:42):
but there's enough action to enjoy it. And let me
just ask real quick before we go to those last
break and get ready for John cobelt Elmer. Are you
watching anything specifically on Netflix and if so, what are
you watching. I'm watching trashy reality TV. I'm so disappointed.
I'm looking at you judgmentally. I'm watching To Go to

(20:04):
the Edge on HBO, though not on Netflix. I don't
have it anymore. Oh yes, kind of expensive so luxury.
Yeah is Canada there, Janna? What are you watching right now?

Speaker 4 (20:14):
I'm currently watching Dan Diden on Netflix?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
And What's that about?

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Anime about the supernatural of both paranormal and aliens.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
See, you're a person after my own heart. After covering
all the news and everything, I'll watch documentaries, but I'm
not trying to look at anything contemporary. I need escapism.
I need to take me to a time that used
to be, or tell me about something that I knew
about and maybe live through fifteen twenty years ago. I
need future. I love aliens. If you have aliens in it,

(20:47):
I'm all there. Paranormal, That's that's my jam. But I'm
not trying to find anything serious. I need some escapism.
So Canada, you are right.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
There with me, glad to be there.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
That you've seen recently that you would recommend.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (21:05):
I haven't seen anything like new that I would recommend.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
I've been reading a lot more.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
What is that I know?

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Right, I'm just trying to stickles.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
For pleasure, not not news, but for wow.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Yeah, just like fantasy books. I need.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
That's kind of my escape right now. I'm trying to
stay away from screens. It's an anti what you're watching Wednesday,
but I am watching that one anime on Netflix. So
unfortunately I have no recommendations today. If you want a
book recommendation, Fortunately we.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Don't need no stinking book recommendations. It's not book club.
People don't read anymore, don't Debora Mark doesn't even read anymore?

Speaker 5 (21:49):
Do you read hardly?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Ever? Told you she's a woman after my own.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
He used to I used to read a lot, but
now I just sit in front of the TV, which
is prob my brain.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
I cannot criticize anyone because for me, reading for entertainment
or pleasure is very hard for me to do, if
only because devoting time to sitting in one physical place
for hours at a time. I can't even do that
with TV. And part of it is because my life
is pulled in so many directions. It's hard for me

(22:22):
to sit still that long. I don't have ADHD or
anything like that. It's just I just don't commit that
much time to anything in one physical place. So I
get it. Deborah Mark, we need to talk about a
cruise or two before we get out of here, very
very quickly, just letting you know we're going on the cruise.
I don't know if you heard on my show we

(22:42):
were talking about my wife and I going on the cruise.
We're going to fly into Rome, spend four days in Rome.
Then we're going to get on a Mediterranean cruise. We've
done it, but it's slightly different. We're going to Turkey,
Greece and some other places. And cannot wait.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
I'm so jealous.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Well, are you're gonna be vacationing soon? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (23:00):
I know, but I'm not going on a cruise. I
love going on cruises, have you. I know I've asked
you this before, but so are you going on one
of those big cruises or are you going on a
river cruise?

Speaker 1 (23:10):
A big cruises? Uh? My wife is we're hit and miss.
It's like we don't want to be on a ship
with three thousand other people, but we're going to be
on a ship with three thousand other people.

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Okay, you promise me, because you and I have had
this conversation before.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
You need to do a river cruise before you.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Die from your lips to God's ears. Okay, you know
I don't know what you want to call home?

Speaker 5 (23:33):
Well, man, you better that should be your next strip.
I'm serious. There's something really special about river cruise.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
I hear that they are great. I heard Viking cruises
is very good.

Speaker 7 (23:41):
I haven't done a Viking. I did an Amah and
Avalon many years ago.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Mm hmm, yeah, I don't know which one. I heard.
Virgin is also very good. Those are one of the
large cruise lines. But it's all about the destination and
time of year, which are really important.

Speaker 7 (23:56):
Absolutely, but I don't like I mean personally his I've
done a lot of the big, big ships, and I
don't I don't love being around that many people.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
I'm with you, I'm with you, and we're going Royal Caribbean,
but I don't have a desire to be on the
biggest ships yet has the most demnium amenities. But they
have the most a holes, they have the most things.
You have to deal with them.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Yeah, very true. But Royal Caribbean is nice. I've been.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
I've been on a Royal Caribbean ship and it was
a Central Park theme one that I was on.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
Really really really cool.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Yeah, many years ago.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Ya just done too Carnival whatever you do.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
I've never done Carnival.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
You haven't missed anything. It's like going to the dentist
to have five teeth pulled.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Oh sounds like fun.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Not Gary Shannon Show O Kelly and for Gary and
Shannon Kim six forty lefe everywhere in my Heart radio app.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
But before we get to John, I have to says
again thank you to Gary and Shannon for the opportunity
to sit in for them channel and will be back tomorrow.
I'm told it's always fun to do a different day
part because you get to talk about different stories, different subjects.
It's a different energy, different audience and many aspects. It's

(25:12):
just fun all the way around. And Chris Merrill will
be in for me tonight from seven to ten pm,
So that shows Lady with mokel is gonna sound a
little bit different. And you know, caf I always has
a great lineup. But before we go, we were gonna
finish up watching Wednesday what you're watching Wednesday? And I'm
I'm gonna throwback in some regard. I still have a

(25:34):
small need and appreciation of broadcast television. I cannot get
enough of the Chicago TV shows, especially Chicago p D,
Chicago p D or Law and Order, you know the
Dick Wolf shows, Law and Order, SVU, Law and Order
Organized Crime. I'm watching that on Peacock. All those shows

(25:56):
are just great.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
I finally finished Law and Order SVUM, finally caught up
from season one to what season twenty six.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Twenty five, twenty five.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Don't ask me how I know that twenty.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
Five, yes, but it feels like a very good accomplishment.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
I've seen the beauty of the Dick Wolf shows in general.
Be a Law and Order SVU criminal intent they are. Yes,
it's episodic and formulae, but it's told where it's not dated.
For the most part, you don't that the crime is
the crime, and it could have happened in any time,
And the dates that they tell you in the show

(26:30):
is just the month and day. They don't tell you
the year, so you could start episode one, season one
tomorrow and it won't necessarily feel like it was twenty
four seasons ago or twenty four years ago. However long ago,
it still seems pretty contemporary, doesn't it. I guess? Sorry? Yes, Okay, well, congratulations.

(26:51):
I've seen every Law and Order I think, no, with
exception of this last season. I have like maybe four
more episodes in my DVR. I've seen every episode of
Law and Order SVU, which is step two were in
my DVR, and I've seen everyone of Organized Crime through
its first five seasons. They moved that off of NBC

(27:14):
to Peacock, but there's an upside to that. When they
moved it to Peacock, they turned it into an R
rated show where they have more violence, more cussing, and
that just makes it up a better show. When you're
talking about a police procedural and danger, you want them
to talk like normal people. Want to talk like normal
cops and people were doing dangerous jobs. So the profanity

(27:36):
is a nice added effect. But yeah, I love the
Chicago shows, but broadcast TV it's real difficult for them
to keep up for the reasons I just said. They
can't do the same things as you can on streaming.
You know, you can't have the profanity in certain aspects,
you can't have the nudity, you can't even have the
type of discussions or subject matter sometimes. You know, you

(28:00):
just allowed to do so much more on streaming. And
if you're one of the people still have cable, God
bless you cable as well. So it's hard to find
a show on broadcast television that I'm willing to stick with.
And here's something else. They will cancel a show on
broadcast television and heartbeat, it'll be five or six episodes
in canceled it is you want to make it to

(28:23):
season two. So it's hard to emotionally buy into a
lot of those shows because you don't know whether they're
actually going to be around for another season and what
I usually do, and this to like Kenna's point, the
best part about streaming is there's a show like Maybe
Stranger Things on Netflix. I didn't even get into that
till season three, and I wanted to know that the

(28:45):
show is going to be around, so I waited to
the third season and then I finally got involved and
watched it from the beginning. A show Ozark. I watched
that from the beginning. I think it was season three succession,
same thing, and I had a much more enjoyable except
eperiods because I was able to binge it and see
episode episode episode after episode where it felt like one

(29:06):
continuous story and a story arc that it was very memorable,
as opposed to watching one episode per week that is boring.
That is really really that's not the best way to
consume media. So whenever I have the opportunity to binge
a show, it's hopefully a show that's been around for
a while, and I can do multiple seasons, and then

(29:29):
I much more appreciate I remember when the pandemic started,
what was the Game of Thrones. I watched Game of
Thrones from the beginning, first episode and binge all seven
or whatever seasons over the course of three weeks. Now,
don't get me wrong, I had an s load amount
of time on my hands, but it made for a

(29:51):
much more enjoyable experience than if I were to watch
it every week on HBO. And that's I think the
best part about streaming. It gives you an opportunity. In
many instances, even with the new show, they'll drop two
or three episodes at the same time. That's the way
to watch a lot of these shows and best enjoy them.

(30:11):
