Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on Demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Let's find out what's up with Nick Poliochini as he
joins us as customary each and every Tuesday in studio, Nick,
my brother, what's happening?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (00:14):
The seventieth anniversary the seventieth birthday of Disneyland Park, which
happens July seventeenth, but kicks off this Friday in Anaheim.
So it's been wild. And the thing that it sounds
funny whenever I talked about Disneyland, Everybody's like, oh, blah
blah blah blah, Disney adult and all that. I've actually
gotten a lot of question surprisingly my dms of why
do I care about Disney so much?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
And it's because I used to Why are you? Or
why should anyone else?
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Well, I will tell you why you should care, But
why do I personally care? Because it's a very expensive
hobby quote unquote, you got that right, And it's because
I used to work there. So from ninety eight until
two thousand and three, I was part of the Disneyland
Resort expansion team. So I went in and reopened the
plaza in on Main Street and New Tomorrowland in nineteen
ninety eight, and then I did many many jobs within
(01:00):
the Walt Disney Company, including Disney University and creating all
the training programs for the expanded resort to open, Disney
California Venture Park, the Grand California Hotel, and all the
operating partner locations to Disney.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
That seems like it would be a contradiction because it
was seen to me that would take away all the
magic because you're behind the scenes. You're seeing Disneyland in
the daytime when there is no magic going on.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
And I can totally understand that, but it really was
something more so that solidified the magic for me because
I got to be a magic maker, and that's the
whole concept behind cast members. They are who make the
magic happen. Even though you've got amazing technology and you
have so many immersive experiences, and now you've got Lucas
Limited as part of the family and Marvel Entertainment as
(01:43):
part of the family, so you've got all these things
that really Pixar that round out the Disney product. You
have cast members that are working and that's what they're called.
Just like if you're going to be in a theater
show or an actor, you're cast member, whether you're working
in technical behind the scenes or you're on stage, you're
bringing magic to those who are visiting the Disneyland resort
(02:03):
or Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Paris or Tokyo Disneyland,
any of those resorts around the world. So much happens,
and I think that that's the thing that I'm not
just somebody that's like ooh, I like it. It's something
that is ingrained in me and what being my very
first job, truly, it's what kind of created the monster
that is Nick Poliochani. It is the person, my guest
(02:25):
service attitude, the way I interact with people. All those
things have been created because of that background with the
Walt Disney Company. And it's wild because it's a very
different beast now, but there's still so many people. In fact,
I'm very excited both Steve Vaalkenberg and Jim Pryor, who
have been with the resort for over forty five years,
coming up in July, just after the seventeenth, I will
(02:47):
be hosting their retirement, their retirement ceremonies at the resort,
and I'm so excited and ecstatic to be returning as
kind of you know, an interim cast member for one day,
why do you help them out? But anyway, Anniversary, Celebrate
Happy is what is coming to the Disneyland Resort. I
was there all day today media preview wild I brought
(03:07):
a couple of treats that are shelf stable to share.
There are seventy food items to start out the celebration
on Friday, seventy seventy seven zero for the seventieth between
Disneyland Park, Disney California Venture and also Downtown Disney. So
that doesn't mean that there won't be more than seventy,
but we've got seventy to start you out. If you're
joining us on YouTube, a mister mo Kelly, you can
(03:30):
see some of the stuff that I've got. This is
the new popcorn bucket that just premiered today at the resort.
There's also one if you happen to be a Magic keyholder,
which is their annual past program. There is a special
cooler that you can get just some of the fun stuff.
I mean, the color profile of the palette is in
cool colors purple and blue. But there's so much happening,
(03:52):
I just I can't even begin to tell you, because
things are coming back to the resort Wondrous Journeys, which
is an epic fireworks show. We'll be returning to Disneyland
Park as will paint the night over at Disney California
Adventure Park.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I got a peak of it.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
If you check out Nick Pouliochania this weekend with Nick
on Instagram, you'll be able to see a sneak peak
of better Together a Pixar Power Around celebration.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Oh wow, that's back at Disney California Venture.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Brand New World of Color will be premiering on Friday.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
I will be there live and covering that, so not
to steal any thunder from cult classic movie, but.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
You know, around the same time period, you might want to.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Check out Nick polio Chania this week of a Nick
because I'll be live from Disney California Adventure with a
first look at World of Color, the brand new World
of All. Thank you, sir, I appreciate that. And there's
just so much more happening. And I think the thing
that's most exciting Disney does celebration years well every five years,
that you really and this is globally every five years. Now,
I wish it was a little bit more like Tokyo Disneyland,
(04:47):
because they're committed to every five years having a brand
new celebration here at Disneyland. Any of the milestones that
we have. So we did the sixtieth, we did sixty fifth,
We're now doing the seventieth, and then seventy fifth will
be the big one after this. But this should be
around a twelve to eighteen month celebration with lots of
surprises coming. So much happening, I can't even begin to
scratch the surface on I know it sounds silly to
(05:09):
be forty three years old and ecstatic about Disneyland, but
it is amazing. And the funnier part is both Lucas
Limited and Marvel Entertainment are in on it. In fact,
I have one of the toys for you to play
with here. This is a spider Bot from IT.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Put it real close to the camera so they can see.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
So this is Spiderbot from the Avengers campus.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Okay, there we go, and it will I'll try to
show you exactly. If you're joining us on YouTube or Instagram,
you can see what it is. But you can turn
it on and it actually lights up and has a
whole interactive component.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Batteries not included. Oh no, they're included, promise. But little
creepy up yeah, I wass get that the Jesus out of
me if I were right.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
So, but if you are familiar with the vendors campus
at Disney California Adventure, this is very integral to web
Slinger's the attraction the sound as well.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Oh it does make sound.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
So think of back in the day for folks that
used to have the wind up toys. This is one
that you just press the button and.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
It keeps going. That would scare a.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Child, yes it might, but it's well worth it, so
I mean, I'm down for it. But if you go
check out web Slingers at Disney Cover and Adventure, you
will see the spiderbots there there. But there's so much
happening I can't even begin to really scratch the surface.
There will be a new character cavalcade, there's the seventy
different food items that will be joining. There's a brand
new seventieth anniversary of Story of Celebration guided tour that
(06:31):
you can take part in.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
This is popcorn. This is popcorn bucket.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
See, this is why you need to be on YouTube,
right now at mister mo Kelly subscribe like you can
see all these things.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Oh, it changes color. It changes colors naturally showing and
naturally it does now. Unfortunately it's a little bit flickery
on YouTube because of the bitrate. But other than that,
this is it's a really solid color for those solid
color yes, So while you're seeing it flash between blue
and green, it is moving back and forth between blue
and green. But it's definitely something there. One of the
(07:04):
cooler things that is around for the forty or fortieth.
The seventieth Tapestry of Happiness will be a new projection
show at Small World. Also, the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade will
be to be the first time that Duffy and Shelley
May from Disneyland Tokyo Disneyland will be here to celebrate
along with Mickey and Minnie. If you're not familiar with Duffy,
(07:25):
Duffy is Mickey Mouse's stuffed bear that is very very
popular at Tokyo Disneyland. And also he has many many
friends like Shelley May and Ulamel from Alani over on
O Wahu and a whole bunch of different characters, so
that's something exciting. And then something's brand new that already
(07:45):
has premiered at a Small World is Coco, and Miguel
and Dante from Coco now are featured in the Mexico section,
which is yeah, so there's that. Also new editions to
toy Story at Midway Mania. That's the attraction that's at
the rear of Disney California Adventure where you kind of
are shooting at different carnival style games and then again
(08:08):
already talked about it, but better together it picks our
pals at Celebration Parade is well, it'll be back on Friday,
but I actually got a sneak preview of that today.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Do you have an obsession with popcorn? I see nothing
but popcorn. I see like some chili cheese flavor.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Pop right, which you should try.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
You should really try that on the air, because we
like to try things and we like to asmr eat
in people's ears here at later on Mo Kelly.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Then we'll have to do it next segment. That's fine,
We're good with that.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
But yes, popcorn is definitely a very popular thing, especially
the buckets at the theme parks across the country here
and something California too, But.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
It's later with Mo Kelly. Nick Palakheti joins me with
a lot of stuff in studio. You have to log
on to the YouTube video simulcast to be able to
see it.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
We have.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Popcorn buckets lighting up chili cheese flavored popcorn, just some
candy bars. We haven't even gotten to some of the
seventy different food items they have the seventieth anniversary celebration
of Disneyland. That more with Nick Paliochety in just a
moment KFI A six forty YouTube also Instagram, iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
You're listening to Later with Mo Kelly on demand from
kf I A M six forty.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
What's what We're live on YouTube, We're live on Instagram.
(09:45):
We're live on iHeartRadio app. Nick Poliochetty joins me. Still
in studio. We're talking Disneyland seventieth anniversary. And if you
look right now on YouTube or Instagram, you can see
that Nick is all disneyed out.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Where do you get this stuff from? Are you buying it?
And they're sending it to some.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Of It's what's very fun. No, no, no, I mean
that's let's be real. It is not a cheap habit.
So when you see what I'm wearing. Oh I love this,
Daniel Rockstar. This is the brand new promotion for Celebrate Happy,
which is the brand new the YouTube Yeah You've got.
If you are not joining following mister Mokelly on YouTube
(10:22):
or on Instagram, you're missing out because you're seeing a
brand new commercial that just premiered for the seventieth Celebrate Happy,
which is the theme for the seventieth at Disneyland Resort,
but specifically for Disneyland Park. To go back to your question,
this is actually from D twenty three from What I'm
Wearing is a special edition from D twenty three Expo.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Which could seventy on it's ranking. It's new nude.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
No, no, no, it's so what's funny is this is only
exclusive to that event, and now if you look at everything,
it's going to be more down this path, so it's
going to be these are the logos that you're experiencing. Also,
the color palette is different. You can see there's lots
of greens and aqua's on what I'm wearing. Uh, and
then it's now more down the purple and the pink
(11:09):
and the blue and all that fun stuff. So that
gives you kind of an idea of what is in
fact right now, if you're following us on YouTube or Instagram,
I'm holding chili cheese the flavored popcorn up to the
camera and uh, I gave a little bit to everybody
who has a camera.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
So try it.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
I did.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Well.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Here have some more more here? Yeah you you last
time I checked your names on the show. Please anyway,
lots of fun and excitement to be had again. I
have will be giving you, Oh, Mark Ronner, Oh that
it was define Okay, I was gonna say we didn't
give market that he didn't deserve.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
No, I give it to it.
Speaker 7 (11:43):
No, I have some use swine. I think we could
use I think we could use a beer with it.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Though. Are we allowed to do that? Nixt I mean
we've done it before, we have done it. We did
it last week. I'm all, can you tell this is
how we roll?
Speaker 5 (11:57):
Here?
Speaker 3 (11:57):
It later?
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Anyway, all the fun stuff you can check out Nick
Polio'keanny this weekend a Nick on Instagram. I want to
give over to the free ninety nine and all that
stuff as well, because I don't want to leave you
high and drag because obviously it's a high ticket cost
an item.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
But the thing.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
I want to encourage you if you are not able
to make it to Disneyland Park or Disney Californiadventure Park.
Downtown Disney has so much going on that's ten bucks
for parking, very inexpensive. You can really go and enjoy yourself,
so it is well worth it to check out. I
want to talk about the California Strawberry Festival. You may
be familiar with the Strawberry Festival that takes place in
Garden Grove. The California Strawberry Festival actually is happening this
(12:33):
weekend and that is in Ventura, so you can get
the details for that. Nick poliyo' kanny this week im
a Nick on Instagram or social media in general. There's
a link in bio that connects all of them together
with all the details. Also Street Food Cinema, which you've
talked about here with this Weekend a Nick and later
with mo Kelly. It's kicking off for their summer season
very very soon, starting up next month. But you've got
(12:55):
a couple of things coming up. Most of them are celebrations,
like the thirtieth anniversary of the Goofy movie.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
You'll have Goony is this coming here? It's insane.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
I know, anythink yeah, yeah, yeah, but I mean you've
got everything going on from nine to five. Ten things
I Hate about you, Pretty Woman, Toy Story will be
around in July, and Sisteract. All these are very very
inexpensive or possibly free ninety nine. Check out again this
weekend with Nick or Nick Poliochanny on Instagram if you're
(13:27):
interested in heading down to San Diego. I know we
have a lot of folks that always chime in on
the chat. Oh look, there's me with an interview that
I did for the If you're following us on YouTube,
you can see an interview that I did for what
I'll be talking about next weekend, which is actually the
Strawberry Festival that takes place. Is it next weekend? Memorial
Day weekend? So that'll be taking place in Garden ge
(13:47):
Have weekend next, Yes, next, there you go. Not this
coming one, but the following twenty twenty five Lego festivals
underway at all seven resorts globally, but specifically down in
Carlsbad here in San Diego. So if you're a fan
and of Lego, you've got so much happening and actually
started on the third and runs through the eighth. That
is just included with the price of admission if you're
(14:08):
looking for something. Also in San Diego they have the
Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival. Some of it is free
ninety nine, some of it does require a ticket. And
then also it is going to be the final weekend
of Viva la Musica down at SeaWorld, So that's been
going the second and it goes through this weekend with
a lot of Latina music, Latin music and artists that'll
be rolling through. So much happening. Plus we are coming
(14:31):
up a Memorial Day. I will have so much to
go with you and cover with you ideas and things.
And then we've got summer right around the corner. That's
right wild, and I'm already sweating like a pig here.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Like you know what, You're gonna go to Chateau lem Well, Chatele.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Mo and the live broadcast and for my anniversary fourteen
years together my husband Brian, ten years married. So yeah,
we we still got to figure out that whole you know,
vow situation.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
And also I know that I'm going to be reaching
into my deep pockets of information and contact, so at
least we'll be definitely getting some popping flavors from Long Beach,
all right, with a special rocket bomb pop that your red,
white and blue that you usually get from the ice
cream truck that rolls to the neighborhood. They have that
flavor of popcorn. So we'll definitely be having that at
(15:22):
Chateau lemo for the fourth of July.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
You need to find out who the hell is going? Stephan?
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Are you going?
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I know Mark isn't going. I'm not even gonna try,
not even gonna try.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Well, I like to be asked. You know, you've always
been invited. You're just asked just and just doesn't show up.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
I would like an invitation with one of your wax
seal things so that it looks official.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Like melted and everything. Yeah yeah, and to do the
thing with your ring and the wax. No oh wow, No, no,
it's not gonna happen. No one gets that. You get
the oral invite, the verbal verbal.
Speaker 7 (15:52):
I don't think I want the oral invite, Not not today, Stephan?
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Are you are you gonna think I'm gonna try to
make it ot this year? All right? Good? Yeah? You should?
Speaker 2 (16:00):
You should, Danny come into the house chat.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Believe that's how we were all okay.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Love For those who don't know, very quickly, each year
we have a live broadcast at my house and we
also have a baking dessert.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
It's expanded to dessert because Big Mike won with that
avocado pudding or whatever.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Sister won last year.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Hers was with the red white, white, red white and
blue flag cake.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
I have to find the video.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
I know you can find it on mister Mokelly and
Nick Poulio Kenny this week on Nick fifteen Minute Footy.
But your sister with the cut and reveal of that cake.
She wanted everyone knew, you know everybody. I understand, but
I'm saying like she should be on Food Network. That
was such a reveal to have the audible gasp that
happened July for those I don't think I can do
(16:55):
it justice.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
But she did this cake and you cut it and
it was right in the middle of a flag. It
shilled the flag. I don't know how many stars, but
it was red, white and blue.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
No, she had it.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
And so what happened is you had all of that
set up like a flag and she literally had to
layer the cakes in a very specific way. When she
was putting the buttercream between the layers and from the outside,
you had no idea because it just look like a
beautiful frosted cake. And then she cut into it and
we all knew because she's won in the past. Yeah,
we all knew she was going to bring her a game,
but this was a whole next level.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Supposedly, fok Reporters supposed to be the judge this year.
He was supposed to come last year, but he had
some things which came up, some you know, eventualities where
he couldn't come.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yeah, so he's supposed to be the judge.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
If he's listening right now, Damnitneil u ois in appearance.
Yeah in a few years, buddy, Yeah, it's about time
you show up and judge a dessert contest since you
know everything about food.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Although last year we had a great one. We had
a chef that judge last ye year did which is amazing.
So be sure to keep an eye on mister mo'kelly
both YouTube, Instagram, and then also this Friday, Saturday Sunday,
I will be at the Disneyland Resort. Check out Nick
Poliochani this week with Nick fifteen minute Footy. All the
things on social media because I will have so much
Wildwall coverage.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
In the social realm.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
So yeah, not to steal any thunder from Colt Classic
movie or any of our weekend talent here KFI.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six.
Speaker 8 (18:18):
Forty animals the world over have had enough of humans.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Hornets are attacking in China, Sharks are swallowing up the
surfers in Florida.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Lions and tigers are eating in turns.
Speaker 6 (18:37):
Oh my, and bears are pouncing on women in the
Pacific Northwest. Unless we put a stop to the mistreatment
of animals, they can, they will.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
They shall attack me.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
I think this should have been actually dying time segment
because I have absolutely no sympathy for the deceased. In
this next story, the brother of a South Carolina petting
zoo owner was apparently well, let me back up, Okay,
there's a petting zoo owner, okay, And this was the
(19:19):
petting zoo owner's brother. The brother apparently was beaten to
death by a kangaroo after possibly going into the animal's pin.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
I cannot stress that enough.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
He went into the kangaroo's pin, specifically to rough house
with it air quotes.
Speaker 9 (19:43):
So the kangaroo did not escape the enclosure and go
wild during a petting engagement and attack this man.
Speaker 5 (19:49):
Nope, it went and sought this ass, whooping literally went
into the kangaroo's house, the literal house where the kangaroo
lived because it's not free to roll wherever, started rough
housing with the kangaroo, and the kangaroo beat that ass
to death.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
He went into the kangaroo enclosure. He then antagonized, taunted,
and tried what manhandled the kangaroo.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Not only that, there's a history evidently of this guy,
Eric Slat, of doing this, a history of stepping into
the kangaroo enclosure and quote unquote rough housing with it.
I don't know if the kangaroo was ever cool with this.
All I know is that this guy, Eric Slat would
go into the kangaroo enclosure supposedly the rough house with it.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It could have been more. For all I know. I'm
not going to I'm not going to push anything to
decide here. He could have been for other reasons, you know. No, no,
no no judgment here.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
No, No, I'm just saying. I'm just saying Eric Slaate
went in there for one reason. We don't know if
the kangaroo was down for any of it.
Speaker 9 (20:54):
Especially because unlike what's being developed yesterday that we spoke
about the AI tool to understand what animals are saying.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
That's not available yet.
Speaker 9 (21:04):
So if he thought that the kangaroo's having fun, he
learned the hard way.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Do you really need.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
To know the kangaroo language to know that you shouldn't
have been there in the first place?
Speaker 7 (21:14):
You know what?
Speaker 9 (21:14):
There are some people, and I've seen videos, maybe you
have to even people want to attagon it is that
massively yoked out kangaroo and they want to challenge him
to fight because guys think that kangaroos are something you
want to fight.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Look, they say that the kangaroo in question has not
been euthanized. I don't know if that means that the
kangaroo will will not be euthanized, but at this point
I don't. I'm glad that they're not going to kill
the animal because the animal didn't do anything wrong.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
What state is this, South Carolina? I think they have
standard ground and stuff South Carolina.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Oh, it stood its ground, Yes, it stood it's ground,
But I don't know if it applies to the animal population.
Speaker 7 (21:56):
It's top your ground. South Carolina. Also, it's really it's
it's hard to determine consent. They stand on their tails. Well,
you've seen all those old vintage news clips of people
trying to box a kangaroo.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
Yes, I've seen it.
Speaker 7 (22:09):
I'm not sure a kangaroo really is down with the
concept of just rough housing for fun. I think they
might likely just assume that it's life or death because
somebody's attacking them, right.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Yes, coming in uninvited, unannounced.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
If I were to come into your house, Mark Ronner,
and we didn't know each other, we don't speak the
same language, you might as well assume that I am
an enemy.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I mean you harm, especially if you have a huge
pouch in the front of you.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
South Carolina has some of the loosest restrictions in the
country regarding the ownership of exotic animals. It is only
one of three states where kangaroo ownership is not prohibited.
Didn't know that, didn't know that. I just hope that
the kangaroo gets the Menendez brother's treatment. Serious mercy being
(22:58):
shown on the kang because the kangaroo did nothing to
ask for this.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
He seems to have a stronger case than they do.
You're right there.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
You know, it's one of those things where I don't
know what possesses people, because I would never roll up
on a kangaroo.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Wait, you never know what a possessive people.
Speaker 9 (23:16):
We literally Jessman is talking about one hundred guys taking
on to gorilla and they're serious about it.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
But that's a thought experiment.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
This guy was actually trying to, I don't know, wrestle
with a kangaroo.
Speaker 9 (23:28):
Do you know that there are several viral stories about
zoos having to increase security because of people attempting to
hop enclosures and things like that.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
I don't know how many times we talked about someone
jumping into it. We talked about an alligator enclosure not
too long ago. We've talked about a tiger enclosure. Yes,
but still, I don't know what goes through people's minds
to think that that wall doesn't mean no to me.
You know, that wall is for other people. Those rules,
those signs, those are for other people. The animal actually
(23:59):
wants me to hang out out with it. I mean,
Joey's are not friendly to begin with it. Look, all
I know is I am all kinds of happy that
he got that ass whooped. Yes, he got swept, he
got put in the dirt. And I don't feel bad
saying it because you jumped in yourself. You chose to
go over that wall, you chose to engage with it.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
How do you call your mom and say that? Yes?
Speaker 9 (24:20):
So you know, I know, I know you kept telling
me about the kangaro I know, I know you told
me wasn't a good idea to own this thing.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
But you know your son. You know.
Speaker 9 (24:28):
I tried to tell him don't go in there, and
next thing I know, I go to feed one of
the other animals. He's in there, rough housing, playing around here,
him screaming, being jumped on.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
I just want to see what goes on at the funeral.
How do you write that obituary? He was unalive? Can
he is survived by four different animals and his brother
and his mother.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I mean, I don't like. What what do you what
do you say?
Speaker 2 (24:50):
You know Eric was a good guy until he got
his ass whooped by a kangaroo. He you know, he
he loved animals, even the one that put his lights out.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
I don't know, I don't know. I don't know because his.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Brother owns the petting zoo, and and let's be fair,
I don't think of kangaroos as animals which belong in
the petting zoo.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I think of sheep. I think of turtles, you know, tortoise,
I think of I don't know, even sheep. They're not
really that friendly.
Speaker 9 (25:20):
I've seen them run up in mash kids at the
county fair, like literally kids in there and they're in
there running and being just step because they're animals.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
They're not our friends, they're not pets. Sheep then sign
up for it, not at all. As far as they're concerned.
They're in jail. They'd rather go grazy. They'd go roaming somewhere.
They didn't choose to be there. They don't want to
stay there. That's why they have sheep dogs, because why
the sheep. If they had their druthers, they would just
go away. It would just leave and not come back.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Ever. I'm so happy that this guy got his ask Ooh,
it's like one for the animals. Yes, it's Later with Kelly.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
It's Later with Kelly put Live on YouTube iHeartRadio app,
Instagram and just about anywhere you like to get your radio.
At this point, I highly recommend though, that you log
on a YouTube, subscribe, and like the reason why you subscribe.
It makes it easier to find it when you want
(26:28):
to come back in the future, and you will. The
in studio antics are pretty damn funny, and most of
them we don't even see coming. We're just having a
lot of fun and you get to see everything we're doing.
You get to see sexy Mark Ronner who now has
a fan club. You can see Stephan and his pretty
(26:48):
green eyes that who has a fan club as well.
It's kind of funny how everyone tunes into this show
for everything except me. Okay, my ego's not in it.
I'm just saying I'm not mad, just letting you know
I'm aware. To Wallace Sharp, you and I have worked
in the music business and entertainment more generally for most
of our adult lives. Yep, we have seen some stuff.
(27:13):
We have in our various ways participated in some stuff. Yeah,
you and I have both come across ditty in various
forms multiple times over the years. We have been to
ditty parties, not the after party freak cofts, which have
been in the news lately. I use all that as
a precursor because the Ditty trial started today and it's
(27:35):
going to be a part of my final thoughts.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
So I'm not going to say everything.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
But we're hearing from Cassie and other witnesses telling things
that maybe hard for people to believe or listen to
if you get to see the court transcripts. But I
would say, from my professional experience in the industry, having
nothing to do with Diddy, there's far more coming.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
There's far more worse.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Accounts coming, and none of it would be strangely, if
you worked in the business during that time.
Speaker 9 (28:12):
As shocking as the testimony from former girlfriend Cassie was,
and I read a large majority of what she had
to say, and her accounting of the events beyond shocking,
the depravity and the things has to write work through. Allegedly,
(28:38):
there are events. There are things that both you and
I have seen behind closed doors that would make the
most foul mouth comedian blush. I mean, there are the
things that these young men and women rap about nowadays.
(29:00):
You know, we hear a lot of the music and
you say it like that's just absolutely filthy and this
and this and that and the other. Going to some
of these events, I can tell you that it's all true.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
What's worse is I usually hear from people after we
tell these stories and they say, well, Moe, why didn't
you say something?
Speaker 3 (29:19):
Why didn't you do something? Well, One, some laws have changed.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
We talk about the victim laws in which allowed Cassie
to sue, which started all this.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
That was an example of a law, a victim's law.
What should change?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
And also if we talked about what we knew and
attach names to it, we would be killed. No exaggeration,
full stop.
Speaker 9 (29:43):
Yeah, there's a reason we beat around the bush and
tell you just an overlay, an overview of some of
the things that we have seen. There are individuals that
we have seen first and in rooms, and as crazy
as it sounds, a lot of what we've seen was
(30:03):
commonplace within the music industry. A lot of what we
saw had more to do with arguably stripping culture taken
to the next degree. We've seen a lot of We've
seen a lot of trade insects, things that that were
(30:24):
you you knew for a fact that they were bought
and paid for.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
About every single every single one They were very very clear.
They were very very clear.
Speaker 9 (30:32):
But on the surface, in those crowded environments, everything seemed
to be bought and paid for, and there were consenting
adults involved. The levels of what were reading about happening
at these freak offs, it's it's next level, it's it's
something that I didn't even imagine was as real as
(30:56):
what I heard about.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
What is concerning to me is because Cassie is from
the world in which she had reason to really fear
for her life. Because that fear is real. That's part
of the reason why Diddy was remanded to prison. He
was not let out on his own recognizance because there
(31:18):
was a real concern that he made tamper or intimid
eight witnesses that he is a flight risk. And I'll
talk about this in my remarks coming up in my
final thought. There is a distinct possibility that he's going
to beat this, and I'll tell you about why in
just a moment. But I went to work every day
at a place where they had armed security all the
(31:42):
time because there was always a concern someone.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
May come in and shoot up the place.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
This was armed security, behind the armed security at the
front desk, I'm just talking about.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Area of the offices.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yes, we had multiple police, we had people who were
carrying at all times, and for us it was just
Tuesday work. Maybe we were too young and stupid to
know otherwise, but the threat of violence because.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Of just doing our jobs was absolutely real.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
So I say that because I want people to follow
this case and know that even though it may seem fantastical,
it was all the way normal back then.
Speaker 9 (32:17):
Yeah, many of the individuals that we interacted with a
lot of the quote unquote gangster rappers, they were actually gangsters.
They were actually part of and affiliated with various organizations
that have unalived people.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Yeah, I was geting ready to say they were not
playing gangsters. There are people that is the Lexiconogo is
put in work and put people in the JRT.
Speaker 9 (32:46):
Yes, And there are individuals who backed various artists who
came through my station, various artists who were on your label.
They were connected to all types of individuals just.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
By sheer affiliation, just sheer affiliation.
Speaker 9 (33:03):
And it was always good to be in the good
graces of everyone and just know like, hey man, you
are a solid guy. Twala respect you. And I loved
staying in that place. There is no dirt on my
name because I made sure to stay in that place,
because I was warned. I was pulled aside by all
(33:25):
of my friends who were still connected to the streets. Twala,
don't allow yourself to get caught up in that game, and.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
I did not.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Did I see a lot of it? Yeah, let me
just say this because I gotta go to break. I
was in the office when Diddy and his security beat
up Steve Stout. I was working for Interscope Records. I
saw that I worked with Suge Knight every single day.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
There was no.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
There was no confusion about who they were, or what
they've done or what they would do. So as we
go to break, I want you to think about this
each and every headline you may see about the testimony,
what has been alleged. Just no, it's coming from a
place of reality, not fantasy.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
You're listening to later with Moe Kelly on Demand from
KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
As I said that I would talk about the Shawn
Ditty Colmbs trial, I'm going to talk about it. It's underway. Obviously,
we just talked about it last segment to some degree.
The prosecution. Just in case you haven't been following closely
wasted no time in depicting Ditty is not only a monster,
but one with wide ranging of abuse and criminality. This
(34:41):
case is true with every other case. Has nothing to
do with whether Ditty is actually guilty. It really doesn't.
It's more about whether the prosecution can meet its burden
of proof, and if the prosecution's case is going to
be largely built on testimonial evidence as opposed to say,
documentary evidence, Diddy has more than a slight chance of
(35:05):
either a hung jury or a not guilty verdict, and
I did not stutter. Witnesses will be cross examined and
subsequently impugned. Testimony will be rebutted and redirected. It's never
ever clear cut. This is a criminal trial. The standard
of proof is beyond a reasonable doubt. If it were
a civil lawsuit trial, the standard would be much lower
(35:27):
preponderance of evidence. So this is a much heavier lift
to put Ditty in prison for what would presumably be
the rest of his natural life. But don't get me wrong,
the testimony from witnesses thus far has been both chilling
and repulsive. The things that Cassie Ventura testified that she
was subjected to made me sick, probably you as well,
(35:51):
And if you haven't found out about it or read
about it, you need to read up about it. She
was humiliated and abused in just about every way imaginable
and even unimaginable. There will be a parade of witnesses
and testimony. It will likely seem as if there's no
way Ditty won't be found guilty.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
But this is just a prosecutions portion of the case.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
The defense will have its turn as well, and it
is only in search of converting one juror not all twelve,
just one, because one is enough to stand in the
way of a conviction. I mentioned all of this because
Ditty was romanded to prison in large part because the
court considered him a flight risk and a threat to tamper,
slash intimidate witnesses.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
And that takes me back to the top.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
If the prosecution's case rests largely on witness testimony, it
is begging for the possibility that witnesses may recant, they
may purture themselves, or simply disappear, and I mean disappear.
I say all this to say the American judicial system
has always made room for money and power or Diddy
(37:01):
still has both.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
He's not done yet.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
I know he's not done yet because what I saw
with the Menendez brothers just today today again reminded me
that our justice system is not only fallible, it's open
to manipulation, social manipulation, political manipulation, you name it. Because,
and here's the truth, our justice system is not, and
has not ever been a search for truth. This is
(37:27):
not about whether Diddy actually did it. It's a competition
to put on the more convincing case. This is not
about whether Sean Ditty Combs did all the sex trafficking,
did all the things that he's been accused of. This
is only about whether he can buy his own acquittal
through slick lawyers and legal maneuvers in the way. I
(37:51):
was absolutely not surprised at the turn of events with
the Menendez Brothers today.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
You you should.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Be prepared for the distinct posility that Shaan Ditty Combs
will artfully use his wealth and power to tip the
scales of justice air quotes to favor him. Celebrity has
gotten a lot of people off over the years. Sean
Ditty Combs won't be the first, and I'm not predicting
(38:18):
that he will get off. I'm saying, I just don't
have any faith in the American justice system because it
has let me down too many times. Now, you may
only be mad about Eric and Lyle Menendez or OJ
and maybe one other person. Maybe Oscar Pistorius was not
even an American case. But me, I can think of
a lot of them over many years and many decades.
(38:43):
So you might as well prepare for the distinct possibility
that Sean Ditty Combs will get off, regardless of the
case made against him or the justice excuse me, or
the evidence put before him. Because it's twenty twenty five,
nothing makes sense anymore except nonsense. For k if I
am six forty, I'm O Kelly.
Speaker 6 (39:05):
Your vaccine for stupidity k s I and the k
