Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
KFI Later with Mo Kelly. We're live everywhere in the
iHeartRadio app and it's Tuesday evening, so you know that
means Nick Poliochini is formally introduced into the show, even
though you've been here since like six thirty.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
And because I love spending time with Later with the
mo Kelly crew, I love feeding you guys. We're going
to talk about that in a minute here. But the
this is that time when we've all wrapped up from
the day and can. As you have said innumerable times,
we'll say many more times, it's the best job in
the world. We get to have a good time here.
We get to spill, we get to laugh, we get
to share some ridiculous stories about it about Tony.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I was like, we get to love about Tony.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
And we both all three of us, I've known you know,
both Moe, t Twala and myself have known Tony for
years now. So but really quick, because I know they
got to get to bed. Happy first day of school
to my nieces Ella and Hailey who just had uh
capa starting unified school district, just had their first day
of school today, and my nieces go to marble Head

(01:02):
Flex Academy, which was an elementary school that had a
I think it's kind of like a charter school now.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
So anyway, but love you guys. You soon go to bed. Okay,
is everyone back to school now? No, So Long Beach
we go back next week.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
The vast majority went back this week, So that's why
you're noticing the drive patterns on the freeways are a
little bit different, and that includes colleges, because that's what
makes it hillacious for all of us, making it like
you talked about the beginning of the show with the
freeway situation, we are now in the thick of it.
But Long Beach and Elle Unified Schools a handful of
some of the ones in the district but mostly Orange

(01:39):
County has got some that are going back next week.
Long Beach Unified is going back next week. San Diego's
got them going back. So anyway, we're almost there. But
to talk about exactly the reason I showed up early
to feed you guys is because, and we've talked about
it several times, is that nostalgia is kind of the
name of the game. But it's in a very weird
way because today I brought in McDonald land signature adult

(02:03):
happy meals, which this is not the first time that
this has happened with McDonald's in any way, shape or form.
But the thing that's odd, so in nineteen seventy one
is when the original play places started showing up in
McDonald's locations. I actually went to McDonald's down the street
from here on Olive seventeen oh one Olive.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Which is just down the street from the studio. They
actually have a play place. It looks nothing like what.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
We remember with the whole jungle gem and everything.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
But the thing, yeah, and the thing that's wild to
me is most of the McDonald's around the country took
them out. Yes, so it was wild to think just
the one that I went and picked up dinner for us.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Well on City on sub Pulvida has the playplace as well.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Okay, the select locations even to have it.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I'm almost and I have not had a moment to
do my you know, deep dive, but I'm curious if
it's like franchisees versus the corporate stores.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
But whatever the situation may be.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
But this specific novelty is kind of not novel, at
least in my book.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
You've had it, and.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Mark Ronner's had it, Tony's had it. You had the
option of either a quarter pound of a cheese or
a ten piece nugget, which is nothing exciting or you know,
I mean, it's solid McDonald's food, but nothing special there.
The only thing that was unique, which we have all
tried and have had it pretty much the same reaction to,
is they have a McDonald Land shake and the shake
itself is blue raspberry cotton candy flavored, and it is

(03:24):
exactly what you think it is now. It's a blue
tone colored shake with what I think looks like brains,
which I'm like, this is perfect head enough to Halloween.
But it's a pink whip cream topping. And it also
comes with and I don't understand, it comes with a
tin that has some fun stickers and everything in it.
Maybe if you're one of those people that carries around

(03:45):
a canteen and you want to put something on there's nostalgic.
But the weird part of it is none of this
is from my childhood. It is all representations of something
from when I was a kid growing up for me
in the eighties, but you know, to see nineteen seventy
one is when it started. And I've I've seen a
lot on social media about people going like, I don't
know what this is because it does has no connection
to my childhood.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
My childhood would have had the hot apple pie, which
is burning the crap mouth, a fley of fish, which
was big in the nineteen seventies. The chicken McNuggets weren't
a huge thing as far as McDonald's. It was just
something else that they also offered corn poddle cheese. Yeah, okay,
we'll allow that one. But there's not a lot of

(04:27):
nostalgia in that particular. Offering nostalgia to me was just
go ahead and sell a happy meal, a kid's happy
meal to me, which I used to buy back in
the day correct and have to fight for right.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
But I think that's it what you're saying there. And
I know that we have experienced many advertising changes on
television specifically because when we were kids seventies, eighties, early nineties,
it was all advertising to the toys, and it was
all advertising to those things that you were not able
to get because for us, I grew up in the
Inland Empire. Ju Claire was where the nearest McDonald's. It

(05:02):
was a two story one. They had a play place
in the basement. My sister, whose birthday is October twenty
sixth and minus Halloween the thirty first. Yeah, we're definitely
anniversary babies because my parents got married on the twelfth
of February.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
So you do the math right.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
One of us should have been Diego and the other
one should have been Barbara, because allegedly we were conceived
in Santa Barbara and San Diego.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
So there's that.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
There's that story, So you don't feel so bad, Tony,
it could be sand and San Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
But it's weird to me because there's so many times
that this comes around. Even if we want to go
a little bit more toward my enjoyment of the Halloween
pales that came out the last few years. When they returned,
they were nothing like the pales that kids fought over
in the eighties and nineties in any way, shape or form.
They were about a third the size, They had no

(05:48):
lid on them anymore. You couldn't really trick or treat
with them any longer because they didn't have the capacity
for a solid night out.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
So it was sweet and thoughtful and nostalgic.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
And don't get me wrong, I too fell victim to
it and have many pales at home myself from those promotions,
although even last year I skipped out of it altogether
because they even went to colors that had never even existed. Anyway,
long story long, if you're looking for something fun and different,
by all means had to McDonald's. Because it just launched
on the twelfth, it will probably be here through what
remains of the summer, going into the Halloween season of

(06:20):
the fall season. But yeah, that's kind of where it's at.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I mean, realistically, I had not had chicken McNuggets maybe
the century really, because that's not something I would go
to McDonald's forest.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
So what were the draws for you?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Then?

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Specifically? Were there draws to McDonald's, Not that you go there?

Speaker 2 (06:39):
But it was breakfast food a really okay and if
I were to get quote unquote lunch or dinner food,
it was a quarter a pound of cheese or maybe
two cheeseburgers.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
I mean Big Mac.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
For me, it's always been I never liked the Big
macf but if I went, it was very specific, got it.
I've had chicken McNuggets, but not you know, recently at all.
So tonight it's like you said, Hey, did you want
a quarter pino of cheese or chicken nuggets? Like I
want to get to chicken nuggets because I've had it
in song.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Now here's the funny question, because we've both talked about this.
Across the street from the studio, we have Chick fil A,
which is another place with chicken. What's your preference. I
would have to just taste, just taste, because it's a
very different product. And I think the funnier part is
we're not gonna involve it in this question. But like
Raising Canes would be another major chicken outlet or Popeyes,

(07:28):
and they're all close to the studio.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
But I had not had Raisin Canes until Touola had
brought me some, and I was underwhelmed. What I do
like at Raising Canes is their Texas toast.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Now, oh see that's the ball because for me, that's
more like if you're going to get a lobster roll,
like their Texas toast at Raising Canes is next level
because it should be split open across the top and
have lobster inside of it.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Is it is incredibly delicious. Yeah, Like I like the
toast more so than the chicken itself. I think that
the chicken s chips are right whatever, right. I like
the fact that they bred them fresh. The only difference yea,
as opposed to McDonald's, which are solid. But there's six
confirmed shapes that you will always find that's right because
they come from corporate for McDonald's, as opposed to raising
knes where it's all have handbredded in store. But to

(08:12):
McDonald's credit, and I think other fast food franchises and
corporations pattered themselves after McDonald's. I know that if I
get at McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese and Burbank is
going to taste the same and bangor Maine.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
You're right, No, you're absolutely right.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Now.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
The thing that's interesting, and I know we've got to
go to break here, but having traveled and lived internationally,
it is wild because out of the country, the product
definitely changes. And what's even more interesting is the quality
level is so much higher in a lot of places
where I've been because those markets require it to be
of a higher caliber and a higher quality product.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
When I get to Italy, yes.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I want to seek out of McDonald's because I'll have
something fresh in my memory, which is compare.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
It to so when I'm my recommendation, the best McDonald's
in Rome, if and when you go, is in Rome.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
So if you have time, though, go to the Spanish Steps.
It is directly due south of the Spanish Steps. You
actually have to go underground. It is in the catacombs
of the original city of Rome, which is so sick
and epic and of itself. But not only do you
get to try exactly what we talked about, they have
an entire antipasto bar. You can get everything under the
sun that is Italian made.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
So they have gelato. They do have gelato, and it's
very specifically.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
They will have American flavors that are familiar but not
the same as what you could get with like a
milkshake and McDonald's here in the States. But they will
also have all those flavors that you are looking for
that are from the gelato stands that you see all
over it.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
If I get the opportunity and La Muhair allows me,
because she's gonna say, wait a minute, we didn't come
all this way to get mickey. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
then I'll be sure to post and tag Yeah, please do,
because I was gonna say it is worth it for
La Mouhea to go to the beautiful salad bar an
antipasto bar, while you can go get the Mickeyd's There
we go, There we go.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
I got you.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
It's vacation absolutely playing with mokel will have more with
Nick Polio Keanne in just a moment k if I
Am six forty life everywhere in the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
You're listening to Later with mo Kelly on demand from
kf I A M six forty.

Speaker 7 (10:12):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (10:30):
What's up.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
With k if I Am six forty? It's a letter
with mo Kelly? What's up with Nick POLIOCHINNI Round two.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
I'm going to keep it and let's do let's do
typical stuff and then I've got some more food that
I want to talk about a little bit later on.
But a couple of things that I've talked about here again.
You can always find details about everything I talk about
at the Lincoln Bio, at Nick Polio Chinny or this
week go with Nick on social media. That could be TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
I don't do as much there, but you can find
stuff on my personality page. All kind of depends, but

(11:05):
this is something that's been going at least since last
month at Shoreline Village in Long Beach, and even though
most kids are getting back to school and it may
not be the easiest, I definitely want to encourage you
to check it out. It is the Summer Lunch Cruise program,
and what it is is you pretty much order a
meal from a participating restaurant. This runs until the twenty
seventh of August, but it's in collaboration with Spirit Cruises

(11:28):
out of Shoreline Village in Long Beach, and I allegedly
this is the twenty fourth annual time they've done this,
which I had not heard about it before. But you
get to go on a cruise for free, so you
get to go around the harbor right so it's wild.
So it's kind of like you do a door dash
kind of like that. You preset your order with the
participating restaurants, you pick it up, and then you head

(11:48):
over to the dock to Doc nine near Parker's Lighthouse,
and then you get to hop on and cruise around
the harbor for free. So it's a good way to
wrap up, especially with the heat that's coming up, but
it's a great way for you to wrap up maybe
one final outing if your kids are not back in school.
The three participating restaurants at this time are Gillian Pizza, Shenanigans.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
And Tugboat Pietz.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
All three of those are based down in downtown Long
Beach near the Shoreline Village area or at Shoreline Village itself,
and Gillians has Gillians has Mediterranean as well as pizza.
Tugboat Pizza is kind of more your American, and then
you've got some really fun things from Shenanigan, so definitely
worth checking out. Also if you're looking for something to
enjoy this weekend. And it's happened a couple of times already,

(12:34):
but I'm bringing it up because le Boo Boos are
the name of the game out of PopMart. And this
is Thriftopia flea Market, which will be happening at Perching
Square in downtown this Friday. So this Friday from three
until eleven pm, it is free ninety nine to attend
and check out everything there. But if you do want

(12:54):
to get front of the line privileges, because it seems
that there will be a lot of Labuoboo and PopMart
related different offerings there, Pokemon and like. You can go
log onto event bright dot com. You can look up
thrift Topia like thrift t hrift Opia and check it out.
You can either sign up for free just so they

(13:15):
get a headcount who's coming, but you can also get
front of the line passes for a couple of bucks.
So that's kind of fun and different kind of cool. Also,
if you're looking for something to do this weekend in
the Guardena area, so Rolly Park is going to be
the twenty second annual City of guardeen At Jazz Festival.
So that's this Sunday, August twenty fourth. Tickets have been
on sale for a while now. You can also pick

(13:36):
those up at event bright for thirty bucks. You get
to go and enjoy an incredible day long event on
Sunday from nine until seven of different live music acts
and food and all sorts of fun and activities for
you to check out there. If you're looking to get
out of town, possibly you've got the forty fourth annual
Ramona Rodeo that's going on this weekend. So that's going
to be down in San Diego but out East County wise,

(13:58):
and then also kicking off the past weekend was the
Bayside Bruise and Barbecue at SeaWorld, San Diego. So we
already talked about the concert series that wrapped up real quick,
and we finished that down in sea at Sea World,
and now they're moving on to their next food festival.
But I've got even more to fill you in on
here in just a little bit, because I have got
more details for you about some you know, Halloween happenings

(14:20):
coming to San Diego and elsewhere around the Southland.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
That's right, you don't have to rush to this.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
We got time to I know, I'm very excited about
I guess sometime it's got nice to relax. But again,
if you are checking out details, if you usually I'm
in the chat room, but since we are audio only
until Senior Moo returns from his incredible vacation well deserved, yeah,
Labor Day, and then mom goes, we'll be back in
a full effect. But in the meantime, since I can't

(14:44):
give you the details in the chat room, you can
always again go to the Lincoln bio on my socials
Instagram is probably the quickest and easiest, but you can
also do TikTok, I have a snapchat. I've got a
couple of others, but Nick Polio'kinni or this week, I
would Nick all the details for you can be found
out there.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
We'll have more Pollie o Ken just moment you're listening
to later with Moe Kelly on demand from KFI AM
six forty.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
KFI, Mister mc kenny and Nick Pouli Luchini. As we
have the extended dance mixed version.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
I was gonna say, I love this one, like this
is definitely we're not just doing for the radio edit.
We're going the full blown nightclub version.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
I was gonna say thirty three LP, but most people
don't know.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
What that is, Okay, I think we're at the time
of the night where a handful of people will, yeah,
you should know what a thirty three LP is, correct,
I would hope so, especially if you're going out and
you've bought the croslay or whatever from Target and you
are now, you know, calling yourself somebody that loves an
LP kind of thing, right, right, you should have a
general idea of what we're talking about.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
But so I want to get a jump on, and
I know I've gotten a.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Handful of eye rolls already on social media from this,
but like it or not, Halloween is here, Summer Ween
is wrapping up, and Halloween Halleen is here, is here,
is absolutely here, And it's not just because it's my
birthday and I want it to be here, but your.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Birthdays in October, you're correct, and this is mid August,
middish mid ish August.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
That's why we have Summer Ween.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Now, okay, tell everyone what you're wearing.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
I am wearing something from this past weekend. Midsummer Scream
took place in Long Beach, as it does every year,
so I actually have Tino Evil hooked it up with
a hat and this year's t shirt, so big shout
out to them. But it was an incredible time and
it was really the kickoff or even though we've seen
many things things that go bump of the night already,

(16:49):
after July fifth is kind of when things start picking up.
And we talked about it last week how you can
go to Michael's and experience Summer Ween, which came from
Gravity Falls from twenty twelve Onsney Channel. So anyway, the
reason that I say it's here, whether I like it,
whether you like it, or not. Dunkin Donuts actually tomorrow
premieres their Halloween and Fall menu, So if you're a

(17:11):
dunkin Donuts fan and you're looking for your fix, it's here.
I'm a donut san which is great, so you've got
It's actually being released in two waves this year, so
Wave one is tomorrow. Starting tomorrow, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Almond
spice coffee, Cereal and milk Latte, which sounds like it
could be really good because if you like cereal milk
ice cream like that sounds just like desserting a cup

(17:32):
to start every morning.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I never like cereal milk. It's funny because you know
I'm gonna bring it here when you're back, so.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
You will get a live version of that. The Mixberry
Daydream refresher Apple cider donut, the pumpkin munchkins, and then
loaded hash Browns, which the Loaded hash Browns I think
has saracha involved, which I'm one hundred percent down for.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
That's intriguing.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Yeah, So that's it.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
And then the other thing too that I love, which
always comes back, is the maple bacon snack, so it
literally is not just maple bacon, it is bacon like
two or three pieces of bacon that you can just
buy to eat like snacking bacon, and so not to
bring up Shannon Farrin who always has a pocket or

(18:15):
a zippy bag of bacon on her it seems or whatever.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
It's very odd.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
I haven't seen her in a minute, but back in
the day when I was up here more regularly during
the day, I would encounter her and I don't know
if she was doing keto or paleo or whatever the
situation was, but she always had legit bacon.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
I'd never carried meat on me. I ate meat when
it was in front of me, carry it with me. No,
I literally to me, it was like her version of
beef jerky, which is just wild. And no, I know, Yeah,
text her and find out if she still does that,
because I it was many a time that she would
just have a like gallon zippy bag from zip Block

(18:52):
with bacon in it, and it was delicious and she
would share it sometimes. But anyway, Wave two from Dunkin
Donuts will be coming up on the fifth teenth of October,
which will be genuine Halloween time. That's when you'll have
the Cream Delight Donut Spider Donut Halloween munchkins, pumpkin loaf,
new candy bar latte, and a maple theme breakfast item
as well.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
I just kind of broke the mold and told you
what's coming up for there.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Also, not to be outdone, Starbucks has their menu returning
next week, so your PSL dreams and fantasies are all
coming back for the end of August. You've got your
pumpkin cream colbrew, your ice pumpkin cream chai, pecan crunch
oatmeal latte, and then you also have the pecan oat
milk cortado and new Italian sausage egg bites, which I'm

(19:38):
down to try sells. Also, you can already find in stores,
and Starbucks pushed really heavily into their summer wine for
this all of the pumpkin spice flavored coffees and creamers
are fully available in all grocery outlets. So that's wild
to me. It's August, I know, well, what's even funnier
and I'm here for later on mo Kelly. But tonight,
if you're following sk Farm on social media, they are

(20:01):
having not Scary Farm revealed, so they're going to be
revealing everything that didn't come out this weekend. At Midsummer Scream.
It's all coming out online right now, and I've got
so many friends that are content creators, influencers that are there.
Christmas in July, Halloween, and August, yes, which is weird
to me because Christmas in July. I've never quite understood that.
And I've tried to do deep dive on because June

(20:22):
is six months away from June twenty fifth. It's six
months away from Christmas, but we celebrate Christmas in July
for whatever capitalism thing that is. Okay, I don't get
it anyway, but to give you precursors, and the reason
I bring them up is because the vast majority of
these Halloween events have great deals going on right now
to get ready for what's coming up in September and October.

(20:42):
I did go to Ogi Bogie Bash opening night on
Sunday night. Incredible, great to have it back. It's one
of those opportunities if you want to go to a
Disneyland After Dark event, it is in Disney California Adventure
and it is well worth it. All of the attractions
are walk on. You can also enjoy all the Halloween
things they have to offer. Universal Studios Halloween Hohrn Nights
is coming up and they do have a couple of

(21:02):
deals going for you right now, beginning on September fourth.
I will be there on opening nights, so you can
check out Nick poulio'channe in this weekend with Nick on
social media. Also, as I just teased that they're making
a lot of announcements for Not Scary Farm that returns
on the eighteenth, my mom's birthday of September, and I
will be there on opening nights. Sorry, Mom, I got
plans and I know. And six Flags Magic Mountain begins

(21:26):
on the nineteenth, so I will be there as well.
And then even more exciting and this is one of
the best deals that's available. It actually wraps up this weekend.
The Monster Sale is on for holl O Scream that'll
be taking place at SeaWorld San Diego, sixty five percent
off on tickets or up to sixty five percent off
on tickets for you. And Hallows Scream is going to

(21:46):
be coming up beginning on I think it's the twelfth
of September, trying to double check. Yeah, September twelfth will
be the first night, so I will be there for
that one as well. If you do all this in
August and September, what is there to do in October?
Then it becomes Nick's birthday month. So then I got
thirty one days a Halloween tease and you can check
that out on social again, Nick Poulio, O Kinney this week,
O and Nick and so much else going on because

(22:08):
I really like, especially in October, bringing you the things
that are smaller and closer to home. And as we
always like to say, free ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
O Oh, I just got a text from Shannon Farren.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Oh what did she say about her pocket bacon?

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I used to Now I'm old with high cholesterol.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
I'm pretty sure she's in better shape than the vast
majority of our crew.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
So and she's younger than all of us. Yeah, well
that I know for sure. And now she's got you know,
she's deep in the think of Charter season.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I hope she knows I'm reading this on air. She says,
I've quit bacon and drinking and I'm old and zero fun.
That's according to Shannon Fair.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Shannon Farren, I think you're still fun, But okay, I
missed the pocket bacon days.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I don't know what fun has to do with carrying
bacon around in your pocket.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
I don't know bacon. If you're gonna have meat candy,
I mean, at least for me. And I know that
some people don't do pork and bacon is not the favorite,
But for me, that whole meat candy idea is a
good thing.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
I don't transport meat. I eat it when it's put
in front of me at a restaurant, I don't put it. No,
I've never liked beef jerky. Never. For like all of
five minutes, I would eat a slim gym I think
a junior in high school because people are eating there,
and then I realized this is nasty. I stopped eating them,
which is so funny because like when I hit my

(23:28):
road trips, I always pick step into a slim gym
and like, so pick those up.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Make sure that I've got my energy drinks depending. I mean,
I like monster, but you know, I see that I
have my vices.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
It's not that stuff like I don't drink coffee, I
don't drink soda, so I don't drink energy drinks.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Okay, So outside of cookies and cream being a vice
for you, what is a food vice for you?

Speaker 2 (23:51):
I don't know if salmon is a food vice. But
I'll eat that every day if you get give. But like,
are we talking about salmon in every way? Like do
you do sushi salmon? Like salmon a sushi all the
way through, baked and cooked? And okay, would you do
salmon jerky because it does exist? I'd probably try it. Okay, Yeah,
you can guarantee anything you probably will try. I will

(24:11):
bring in at some point. Not if they had cookies
and cream salmon, I would eat the hell out of that. Okay, Well,
don't ask and you may receive. Tony doesn't know if
it's cookies and cream, I will try it. Oh yeah,
I even got to the cookies and cream candle from Oreo.
That's right, and no, it's all my nights down. Well, id,
why does this smell like cookies and cream because of
Nick polyoke?

Speaker 4 (24:31):
That's right, Tony. Do you have any food vices like that?

Speaker 7 (24:35):
Well?

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Like is it be pizza? Oh, pizza is good? Yeah,
pizza's good. That's hard to chips? I don't say it again?

Speaker 2 (24:42):
What and chips?

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Tortilla chips?

Speaker 2 (24:44):
I could just.

Speaker 7 (24:44):
Specifically tortilla chips, rattling and potato salt. Just I could
just yeah, ron or what about yourself? Nothing out of
the ordinary. Black olives, of course, always black olives, just
to spite you, but never ever any Chitlin's.

Speaker 6 (25:01):
Everybody loves pizza. I mean, that's my achilles heel that
during the year that I lived in Scotland you couldn't
get good pizza. That's the first thing I wanted when
I moved back here. As opposed to Haggis. Haggas is good.
You can rip on it all you want, But have
you ever even had it? Look like like sheep's stomachs
or something. Well, that's what's cooked. It's a bunch of
stuff cooked inside ones. All right, that's good enough. If

(25:23):
you've never had it, you have no idea what you're
talking about. It's it's tasty.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
So the person who refuses to eat Chitlin's he's never.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Had You're damn right.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
I mean, I'm gonna say Mark Moe's right on this one,
having had both items.

Speaker 6 (25:35):
Yes, you're trying to tell me that Chitlin's is either
the same or less offensive as Haggis.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
There's less offensive. It is definitely different offensive. I think
you're both out of your mind. Now we have to
go to the news Wow, yes, we do. We have
to cut this off right now.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Okay, So something in the stomach is different than it's
an old like medieval way of what it is.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Cooking vessel, we get it, yes, but yeah, it's equally.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
It just tastes like liver.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
It's just like sue it.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
That makes it better.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
Yeah, sue it and some chopped up internal organs. It
tastes better than it sounds. And I've had it many times,
so I actually know what I'm talking about. I've had chitlins,
so I know what I'm talking Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
And I've had both, so I know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
So and what if you can tell me that Chitlin's
and haggis are the same or haggis is worse, then
I I doubt take it away.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
I'm just gonna say, specifically for hagis, depending on how
you have it seasoned.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Maybe the only thing that sets the sets them apart.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
Now, I will admit that it might be slightly problematic
that you can't bring hagas into the United States. That
in and of itself says a lot. It's like you're
transporting a dirty bomb or something. But apart from that,
one small detail. I think it's tasty. Okay, Well, we're
gonna have a haggis in Chitlin's night. Weird, No, but weird.

(26:59):
I'm calling it sick that day. If you'll please let
me know when you plan for that.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Damn. What we'll do is we'll tell you we're bringing
you hagis and Obi Chitlin's whatever month that is.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
I'm taking the whole month off.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty before.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
We get out of here. Just want to let you know.
I will be off until the end of the month,
going on vacation with La Muhair, the wife that Latvia,
and we're going to be going to Europe. I'll post
rather infrequently, but i'll post stuff every now and then
as far as we make our way through Italy and
also get on the ship on a seven day cruise,

(27:40):
God willing. And I'll miss you all except for Mark.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
You can say that all you want, but I know
you're going to be losing your mind.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
No, No, it's okay. I won't be thinking about you
at all. In other words, constantly, No, not at all. No,
I will not miss your star donok witt. I will
not miss your sarcasm. I will not miss any thing
about anything about you.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
I promised answer all your text promptly, just to keep
you from having a meltdown.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
I appreciate that, all right.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Yeah, and you'll be in good hands. I have no
idea who's filly in for me, but I know Tuala
Sharp will be here for most of the time to
keep everything on track. And I'll see you guys in
September ish at the end of August. September, I'll be back.
This is the longest vacation I've ever had in my
professional life. You looking for property out there in Europe.

(28:31):
My wife has talked about that. She wants to retire
to Rome. I said, off, well, if we're going to
be expats, I'd rather be in Barcelona. That's just my
personal preference. But I'll probably lose because whatever I want
usually doesn't matter. So yes, we're moving to Rome. Okay,
that's pretty much what's is going to happen. You know,

(28:52):
God willing, do you speak the language? I can handle
myself in Spain most definitely, as far as Spanish now
is uh Italian goes. I will try to get by
on my Spanish and they will probably understand enough of that. Well,
we'll meet somewhere in the middle. Nick, would you agree
with this? I was gonna say, I'm just chiming in quickly.
You will be fine. You'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
They will look at you funny when you pronounce things
in Spanish. Yeah, Otherwise they're gonna be like, all right, well,
this guy gets it. He's made an effort, he's trying.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah, and they know I'm not fluent. It's not like
I'm trying to fool anybody. Oh sure, Yeah, And I.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Just confirmed really quick the McDonald's I was talking about
near the Spanish steps.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
Still there, okay, still looking beautiful.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
All right, Hopefully I'll be there in the next two days.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
I hope so too.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
We land in Rome Thursday morning, Rome, and we'll be
in Rome per se. We'll be tour in the country,
but we'll be based in Rome through Sunday morning, and
then we get on the ship.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Amazing. Yeah, so we'll have all time. You'll have time,
have time, right, and I got you for the rest
of Italy. But I'll text you.

Speaker 6 (29:52):
I know.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
My wife's gonna say, women, we've come all the way
to Italy. It's an assignment of the Italian in your life. Okay,
if the Italian life has asked for you to go visit, yeah,
this is not my first time going, So to answer
Marx's question, yeah, I'll be okay, I know how to.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Look.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
I'm just looking forward to the food. Most people don't
know before we get out of here, most people don't
know Italian food is nothing like American Italian food. No, no, no,
I don't order the pizza there either.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
What are you talking?

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Do not order the pizza in Rome? I like, it's American.
American pizza is vastly superior. You don't know what you're
gonna get if you order it there. Wow, what is
he talking about?

Speaker 4 (30:31):
How did we get this? Like with no time to
ask questions?

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Okay, find out for yourself.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
You're gonna be Disapi lived there for three years. That's
I was like, what are you talking about?

Speaker 6 (30:42):
And you're telling me that you found the pizza in
Rome even remotely comparable to American pizza.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
No, it's actual pizza, American pizzas.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
It's not the same slather American slather cheese on everything,
and actual Italian food is not like that.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Tony way in so know, it's less ingredients, less ingredients
more but better ingredients.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Yes, higher qualities, fewer things.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Pizza they're really good, but again you gotta find the
right place, someplace. It's it's it's like, oh, this is
just bread.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
It's like no, no, no.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
If you're going to expect American pizza, then you know, look, accordingly.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I've never found a risotto in America half as good
as in Italy, not even close.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
And restaurant risotto is not even that good in Italy
compared to like if you get a grandmother grand No,
I totally agree.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Now I expect to come back twenty pounds heavier because
I'm got to eat gelato at every opportunity, every single one.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
And that's like every ten feet. I was gonna say,
now is what you're looking for?

Speaker 2 (31:48):
But yeah, they got it everywhere I do. Indeed, I'll
see y'all soon if I am six forty eleve everywhere
in I heart radio up
