You're listening to Bill Handle on demandfrom KFI AM six forty. He goes
on ABC and has an interview withGeorge Stephanopholos, stepanop Pulis, stephanot Pull
Yeah, a great guy, GeorgeStefanopolis, and now Handle on the news.

(00:25):
Ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle, and good morning. It is
a Wednesday home day and he isJuly tenth. Man, I'm about to
mute my microphone going in and ona minute. Okay, there we go,

(00:47):
all right, first screw up ofthe morning. I try to go
through an entire show without any mistakes, and so I made it into about
twenty seconds. Neil, I can'thear you. Okay, that's you now,
this is Are we counting your mistakes? Now? We just well you

(01:11):
just their number one because you didn'tturn your mic on. Okay, so
that's one for one. Okay,I got one, You got one right
now we do? Yeah, allright, Good morning, Neil, Good
morning, Will Woolf, Yeah,Cono, good morning to you. Good
morning guys and ladies. Yeah, and Michelle, good morning, good morning,

(01:36):
and we have you this week.I was talking to Michelle this morning
about getting in She sends my stuffvery early to me, about forty five
minutes earlier than Anne. And Isaid, does that mean you get here
earlier? She goes, no,no, I can't hear about two fifteen.
Wow, yes, that's when Istart my day when yeah, Amy,

(01:57):
Yeah, that's impressive, Amy,So you don't miss this to you,
Michelle, Amy, Yes, goodmorning. What time do you get
here? You said before, butI've forgotten. I get here at three
thirty three thirty and cono, whattime do you get here? I try
to get here by four twenty, but it's usually four thirty, okay,
twenty. Yeah, And when Ibroadcast at home, you know, I

(02:19):
broadcast at home and the station Ihere. My commute is ten feet so
that's not too bad. And Idon't shower because I walk right after the
show. And I'm just especially inthis heat, I am fitzing like crazy.
And it's kind of a nice morning. Although I wake up at three

(02:42):
o'clock in the morning, so justread my book and make my coffee.
So you know I've always done that. Neil, what time are you up?
I roll in about eight fifty fiveon the show. Excellent, excellent,
saying okay, you also do doubleduty, sometimes at home and sometimes
in the studio, because we nowhave the ability to do that. I

(03:06):
left the station yesterday about four thirtyin the afternoon. Okay, fair enough,
fair enough. Amy has no choicebecause she has to be in the
news booth, and of course Knohas no choice because he's behind the board.
And Michelle, you know, theproducers, you know, can you
do this show from home? Canyou produce from home? Michelle? It's

(03:28):
a little bit harder because of howyou put together handle on the news,
but you could. It would justtake longer. Yeah, you know,
it's a whole new world. Imean, can you imagine the thought of
three years ago, before COVID evenconsidering setting up a home studio. It
would just be impossible. But thetechnology today is so good that it's almost

(03:54):
impossible to tell. And studios aredirt cheap. I mean, Neil,
in terms of studios, it isa tenth of the cost that it was
ten years ago. Oh yeah, absolutely, even for you know, even

(04:14):
for the news department, the abilityto broadcast from their vehicles or things like
that. Yeah, the technology isincredibly impressive. Steve Gregory. The other
day, I was having lunch withSteve, and he's got a truck like
a tahoe or something that belongs tothe station with all kinds of equipment,
etc. Set in the rack. You open the back doors and there's a

(04:36):
rack of equipment. And he bringsout this suitcase about the size of a
medium sized suitcase, brings out whatlooks like a plate about the size of
a square plate, attaches it tothe top of the suitcase on a on

(04:57):
a bar or a little bit ofa and it goes directly to a Starlink
satellite and it is equivalent to thosehuge satellites used to see on buildings.
This thing is eight inches and it'sa full satellite broadcasting system. It's incredible,

(05:18):
Okay, impressive, it is impressive. That's technology today. All right,
let's do it, guys. We'vegot a fair amount to cover today.
It is a Wednesday, Hoday,July tenth. Let's do a handle
on the news with Amy Neil andme and the lead story. Well,

(05:39):
a group of what is being calledforeign nationals in the country, illegally living
here, working here in southern California. International story been charged by the FEDS
for a multi state conspiracy to installskimming devices on ATMs and point of units

(06:00):
at retail units, at retail stores, and it is they were able to
grab lots and lots of money. We knew that was happening. And all
you have to do is take theinformation off of a credit card. And
it doesn't matter where you'll get theinformation. So you put a credit card
into, for example, a gaspump, and it reads and you're able

(06:26):
to steal that information and then chargeon that credit card. The good news
for the consumer is the bank suckthat up. We don't know how much
the banks lose every year. Youknow, they don't share that information.
But if it's a fraudulent purchase,no, I wasn't there. No,
No, this is South Dakota wherethis was purchased, or I was out

(06:48):
of the country or whatever. Ifyou have any kind of a reasonable excuse
for saying that's not mine, theyjust charge it back and they eat it.
And that's only for credit cards, though it's not for debit cards,
right, No, I think it'sdebit cards. Also, No, no,
it's not much different thing. Evenif you have a credit card with

(07:08):
the symbol of you know, itdoesn't work the same, Okay, So
you can't skim and I'm not particularlyfamiliar with this, but Neil is because
he does this all the time andscare you, sir, you shouldn't talk
to me like that. I dohave your credit card on file, yeah,

(07:29):
unfortunately. So, Yeah, it'sdifferent because it's taking your money out.
Yeah, that's the part I don'tuse. I don't use debit cards.
I do not use debit cards againstmy checking account. I have a
separate debit card with like two thousanddollars in an account when I travel.
But the last thing I want todo is have somebody take money out of
my account and then start arguing withthe bank as opposed to their money.

(07:53):
And I'm starting to argue why Ishouldn't pay it much much better position to
be in eighty. Yeah, it'sa whole different kind of stage for Alec
Baldwin as his trial gets underway inNew Mexico, and his wife may be
one of the actors on that stage. So yesterday before jury selection, Hilaria

(08:15):
Baldwin or is it Hilaria, I'mnot sure anyway, his wife, Larious
pulls up to the courthouse in ablack suv with the couple's toddler in tow
and that happened shortly before jury's selection. They she takes the kid out of
the car, puts the baby girlin view of the cameras, and then

(08:35):
hands her off to a caretaker andthen apparently drives away. The suv drives
away. But they're saying that it'san effort to humanize Alec because he,
you know, he's kind of crassand obnoxious and they want to make him,
you know, look like a familyguy. Yeah, where the story
breaks. They actually rented that kidfor the day. What do you think

(08:58):
is going to happen? She justpicked the one of seven, the most
recent seven kids. Seven kids withmy family, but at we're Mexican.
Yeah, I mean, you can'tcontrol yourself. I get it. But
seven kids with Alan W. Baldwin. And by the way, this is
his latest wife. Doesn't he havekids with previous wives? Yeah? A
child with Kim Bason. Okay,so that's eight. I don't know if

(09:24):
they have more than one. LikeStevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder has had I
don't know, forty six kids.I mean, he's had a lot of
children. He also has a realityshow coming out next year. Stevie wonder.
No, me and my my fakeethnic wife who changed your name from
Hillary or something to Hilaria. Iwill say this, do you remember the

(09:48):
tape handle the tape of him callinghis oh, yes, the pig.
Yes, yes, and that wasreleased. Yeah, that was you're confusing
him with David Hasselhoff. Oh you'reright, that wassoff. Okay, no,
no, there was that. Therewas that audio tape where he leaves
out your message, you're a pig. Yeah. Oh yeah, very not

(10:09):
good. Not good. Tensions stillhigh on Capitol Hill. House and Senate
Democrats have met privately to talk aboutwhether President Biden should stay in the race
or drop out. And you knowJerry Nadler, who had over the weekend
come out and kind of said yeah, it's time to go. He came
out yesterday and said, hey,the president's running. He's our guy.

(10:31):
Yeah. Yeah, it's even ifit is overwhelming. And there's only been
seven congress people, I think sixcongress people and one Senator who has said
okay, it's time. I meanthat's out of what four hundred Well,
I don't know how the Democrats havetwo hundred and something and then fifty,
so you know, over three hundredpeople are saying no, are not telling

(10:54):
him to stop and step down. This is the kind of guy where if
it was overwhelming the number of hisDemocratic colleagues would say down, you go,
No, he would stay put. He's running. He is running.
I ask you how lucky is DonaldTrump in this race? He got the

(11:15):
Supreme Court decision on his side completely, He got Joe Biden. And look
what Joe Biden did during the debate. Oh. The other thing is yesterday,
and when you know what's going onis I was listening to some CNN
and some Fox interviews is reporters andpeople are now backtracking and looking at what

(11:39):
Biden has done. For example, the stairs that he uses coming off of
Air Force one, it's shorter, they're not as many, and that's I
haven't really looked at that. Butyou haven't looked at that film. I
haven't seen that. No, they'vebeen doing it for months because he kept
falling on the larger set of stairs. And the other thing is that when

(12:01):
he talks to the press now andanswers questions, it's in three four five
minute segments. He will not standup there for a period of time.
And as they look and showing picturesof him sort of old man, not
focused, zoning out kind of thing. You're seeing a lot more of that.

(12:26):
So, yeah, I don't thinkthis is going to bode well for
President Biden. If the election weretoday, it would be it would be
a landslide in favor of Trump.Speaking of Trump, he's challenged President Biden
to another debate and a round ofgolf. So he held a rally last

(12:46):
night in Dralph, Florida, andsaid that, you know what, I
want to give President Biden another shotto redeem himself after the first debate and
said I'll debate you anytime, anywhere, and then also said, hey,
I want to challenge challenge you toa round of golf, and said that
he would offer a million dollars toa charity if Biden wins. This was

(13:09):
one of the bigger issues during thedebate. It was very golf handicap,
I mean, kind of insane.Trump is actually a pretty good golfer.
I mean, golf is his passion. Did you ever see Joe Biden pick
up a golf a golf club.I've seen him swing a club, have
you, Yeah? And does heswing it pretty well? Well? Yeah?

(13:30):
I don't know how old the picturewas. Yeah, the video was
if he were to do it today, can he lift? Can he lift
a golf club today? The bummerwas it was at a baseball game.
That's true. Yeah, it's justI mean, it's it's it's this part.
I mean, this is getting thisgets ridiculous. And Joe Biden talked
about his handicap, which is ludicrous, and Donald Trump talking about his handicap,

(13:56):
which is ludicrous two point five.I mean, come on now,
you're talking a really high, highend golfer. All right, I would
guess that Biden has more handicapped thanwell said. Yeah, tip your weight,
tray. Yeah. California and theWest are still days away from the

(14:20):
end of this current heat wave thatis just bearing down everywhere. Seeing triple
digits all over the place here insouthern California brought oppressive, even dangerous and
deadly temperatures to many areas for almosta week, and so we still have
more of it coming. This isscary. I tell you, you're going
to hear less and less about wecan slow down climate change. Well,

(14:46):
critical mass is already here. We'renot doing jack, It's already the inertia
is already here. The only issueis how bad is it going to get.
It's going to be innovation, notconservation. We're just past that.
Yeah, how do you how doyou innovate with worldwide climate change? How
do you innovate with anything we canknow? But that, I mean that

(15:07):
is innovation. There's certain things thatare beyond your control, beyond anyone's control,
beyond sciences control. One of themis the weather. All we try
to do is understand the weather. That's it. Same thing with earthquakes.
We're getting the point now where okay, we can figure out earthquakes are coming
in ten seconds. Same thing hurricanes. So flooding, well, now,

(15:33):
flooding you can do because of theway cities are built and drainage, et
cetera. You can do something aboutthat. But I mean we're done.
Climate change is here and it's gettingworse. Well, look at this summer,
Amy, how many records were brokenthis summer around the world. I'm
not sure around the world, butI know that in Lancaster and Palmdale it's

(15:54):
been over one hundred and ten forlike six days in a row. Yeah,
isn't that lovely? Which is anew record. And Las Vegas is
breaking records. I think it's goingto be one eighteen there today. But
it's a dry heat, that istrue, So that's much better. A
dry heat at one hundred and fortydegrees is far easier to sustain than a
wet heat at one hundred and fortydegrees. Palm Springs hit one hundred and

(16:18):
twenty four degrees. Yeah, that'slovely. That's lovely. Even the gay
guys are staying away from Paul andSprings now, they're just staying indoors.
Okay, we're not going to touchthat one, are we. The hurricane
is gone, so the blame gameis on. President Biden says Texas is
going to be getting federal aid forHurricane Barrel later than needed because state leaders

(16:41):
were slow to request an official disasterdeclaration from the White House. A White
House spokesperson said they tried several timesto reach out to Governor Abbott and Lieutenant
Governor Patrick that they just connected withPatrick yesterday, after which the disaster declaration
was declared. Yeah, and Patricksays that's absolutely not true. This is

(17:03):
an easy one. All you haveto look at the emails and phone calls,
and it's all on the record,Well there it is, uh now
what so they can both point fingers, but the proof is in the pudding.
Matter of fact, they actually servepudding. Biden hates Mexican and white
people. You can you can haveboth. You can have both the same

(17:30):
you know you can have both thesame time that they're not mutually they're not
mutually exclusive. But did they saythat about w when he didn't go into
North Yes. Yes, So he'sflying over New Orleans and a helicopter Hurricane
Katrina, and he said, yougot He got huge, huge flack for
that. Why didn't you go onthe ground. Why weren't you there?
And I happen to love George wI think he was terrific. And he

(17:55):
said, I'm not going to gothere and take up resources. When a
president lands anywhere, security and theysuck up virtually everything that's in that immediate
area. And you said, I'drather have I'd rather have this go to
aid, the money, the resources, the people. I thought that was
a great move. All right,Let the lawsuits begin. A local Jewish

(18:21):
man has filed a lawsuit against twogroups that led demonstrations outside synagogue in la
last month that erupted into violence anddrew condemnation nationally against the demonstrator. The
lawsuit alleges that the two organizations targetedthe Attis Torah Synagogue in the Jewish Pico
Robertson neighborhood back on June twenty third. It says they did it to cause

(18:45):
chaos, violence, and to blockthe entrance to the synagogue. Yeah,
this is a real interesting one because, of course the Jewish groups are saying
any of these pro Palestinian demonstrations areanti Semitic by definition, and this group,
the defendants here in this lawsuit says, wait a minute, this has

(19:08):
to do with simply real estate. There was an ad in there was an
ad taken out in the Jewish journalthat said, we're having a seminar on
housing projects in all the best Angloneighborhoods in Israel and including the West Bank.

(19:30):
All right, well, you knowthere's an argument that that has more
to do with the state of Israeland Zionism than it has to do with
anti Semitism. By the way,and you know which side of the coin
I am on that one. Imean, I make absolutely there's no issue,
But you know, tell me that'snot an argument Okay, what a

(19:51):
crazy story. Twenty two years ago, an avalanche buried American climber Bill stamp
Ull as he made his way upone of the highest p in the Andes
Mountains. So the family obviously believeda long time ago that he was dead
and they weren't going to probably findhim. But just last month Stample's son

(20:14):
got a call from a stranger whosaid that he'd come across the climbers frozen
and mostly intact body. Yeah, but that's up in you know, you
go to go to Mount Everest. You know, for example, one of
the most famous climbers from the nineteentwenties, George Mallory, who's considered one
of the great pioneers to try toclimb out Everest, and there's an issue
as to whether he did or didn't. But they just discovered his body about

(20:37):
ten years ago from the twenties andthere it was. Oh yeah, you
can see pictures of this. Itlooks like he fell down this morning and
broke his leg, and of coursehe died. They used some of them
as markers to know where you areon the mountains. Yeah, they say,
yeah, that's right. What theydo is they stick people straight out,
moved a hand up in the airand you could see them. It's

(21:00):
it because they don't bring yeah forthe most part, crazy, Yeah,
they don't bring them down. No, because it could be incredibly dangerous.
Price. It's dozens of people outthere that are like completely dead. So
go ahead and okay, hip pouch. No, No. Driver's license contained

(21:22):
a pair of sunglasses, a camera, a voice recorder to decomposing twenty dollars
bill, a gold wedding ring stillon his hand. I mean, if
that voice recorder or any of thosethings still have information on it would be
crazy. Amy. The next storyyou just did about toilet paper being used

(21:45):
in Yosemite National Park, Yeah, yeah, that's great, isn't it.
It's great that people are well, you know, at least they're using toilet
paper, but instead of using therestrooms that nature is calling in there,
doing their business in nature and thenleaving toilet paper behind. Yeah, lovely.
Isn't that what you want to stumbleon when you're hiking up to see
the water. Do you certainly do? Yeah? All right. City of

(22:07):
Los Angeles may soon raise the capon how many dogs a household could have.
You know, I didn't know therewas an exact number. I seen
there was an exact number there. So they're going from three to four.
I know people with four dogs.Yeah, well the county allows four,
the city doesn't. Go how doyou how do they enforce that? I

(22:30):
guess the neighbor calls and the folksthat had animal control or the department if
you can't have too many dogs inthe city of la comes out and okay,
so now you have four dogs. They come walking around too. When
we had three dogs, we had, you know, a little notice on
our door one morning that really lookedlike one of our dogs that was peeking
out on the balcony didn't have alicense, but she did, she just

(22:52):
wasn't wearing. Yeah, and howmany people take licenses out for their dogs
only if you want to drive themon the public street? That is correct.
So what that's got it that's gotto just be an a whole neighbor
right. And by the way,and the reason they're doing this, which
makes a lot of sense, isthey want to lower the number of dogs

(23:18):
that go to the shelters, whichthen the dogs get euthanized. I mean,
we had a precipitous drop as tothe number of dogs that were euthanized,
and comes COVID and everybody wants adog. And then okay, I'm
tired of a dog. Let's sendit off to a shelter. And it's
yeah, they get euthanized and it'stough. Little dogs looking at you,

(23:41):
and well, you know the storyof when my little one. I had
to take it to the vet andput it down. It's a story I've
shared before. And I held it. I held this little dog as the
vet was putting in the pheno barbital, which everybody should do. Yeah,
And I literally held it, andSuki was looking at me as her eyes

(24:04):
closed. And then that wonderfully, very very nice man said, in a
very calm voice, Bill, wouldyou want to take the dog home for
burial? Or would you like usto take the dog and deal with it.
I swear this is a true story. I looked at him and said,
what am I going to do witha dead dog? And the technician

(24:29):
said that this doctor had been practicingfor twenty five years and he had never
seen anything so callous in his life. What do you do with a dead
dog? Put it in a backpack, you could carry it, or you
bury it in the backyard. Imean that takes work. Okay. More

(24:51):
states are cracking down on cell phones. You know that they did that here
locally, and then Governor Newsom said, yeah, let's get rid of cell
phones and schools. And now Virginiait has an executive order from the Governor
Glenn Younkin that will eliminate cell phoneuse in public schools across the state.
They're going to create cell phone freeeducation programs. I think it's you know,

(25:15):
cell phone has become a huge problemand it's not that hard to do
to block a building from the useof cell phones. Do it? They
do it all the time and atvarious venues. Okay, oh, we
got one more. This is afun one. This is a fun one.
Sure. Florida Satanists are volunteering tofill school counselor rules after Governor Ron

(25:40):
DeSantis signed a law allowing religious chaplainsinto public schools amid staffing shortages. So
that'll be nice. So what shouldI do, Counselor Anton, I don't
know. Well, have you prayedto your dark lord Satan? Yeah?
Now this is interesting one because ischaplains of any kind and defining religion?

(26:03):
We don't do it in America, for example, in the army they have
Wickan chaplains. Uh, there isno choice, so here by law they
might have to allow Satanists chaplains.I mean, it's just as wild.
Now there's also an issue than needpsychologists, because you know, these kids

(26:25):
watching babies being sacrificed. That's atough one. But Batanists don't sacrifice baby
is Satanism is actually a philosophy morethan it's a theology. It's not based
on No, it's not. It'sactually like humanism. Okay, great.
In the meantime, what's more theologicalsatan Okay, what's more? What's more

(26:47):
entertaining you talking the deep meta metaphysicalissues or sacrificing babies. The visual is
much stronger on the Baby's guide inred pajamas with a pitchfork. It is
kind of funny. That's why Idon't think there should be religion in school,
because it's like, well, whogets to say which one? Yeah,
you think the separation of church andstate is an issue here? Which

(27:11):
is going to separation of church andstate was to protect the church from the
state, not the state from thechurch. Actually it's gone now both ways
now it's to protect everybody to nothave religion cram down their throat of any
kind. By the way, separationof church and state is going to disappear
under this Supreme Court. Just aquick one, Okay, we do have

(27:32):
one more. Let's finish it upnow. Might be a really good time
to go to Las Vegas. AndI can see this is very very apropos
that Michelle put this in the rundowntoday. The Mirage in Las Vegas is
closing down on July seventeenth, butthey have all this money from progressive jackpots
that hasn't been one yet and beforethey close down, they have to award
that money, so crank up thejackpots. Yeah, so it's going to

(27:57):
happen now. There is a timelineto play this thing, so it's it's
been sped up, to say theleast. Uh. Now we have Michelle
who does this play slots constantly.Yeah, semi professionally, and uh yeah,
semi professionally. Are you going thereto try this stuff out? I

(28:17):
just might. Of course you will. They're doing it on the table games
too, so I could go playmy card games that have jackpots. And
I didn't know this. I amassuming that when they have these progressive jackpots,
the casino has to put money intosome kind of an account to cover
it. They can't just say we'regonna give the money. Yes, it's
like a trust account, so they'vegot to spend it. Yeah. One

(28:38):
point six million in unclaimed progressive jacketout or or a one point six million
in unwon jackpots, I think isreally the way to describe it. They
we go, you know, theirbiggest fears. We take down the mirage
that they're gonna people are gonna thinkit's still there and that's true. Okay,
I was gonna go there, butyou beat me to it. Dumb

(29:02):
jokes galore baby, Oh yeah,Yeah, that's a typical Handle. On
the news segment. This is kfI am six forty Live everywhere on the
