Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI AM six forty and you're listening to the
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app KFI AM sixty.
It is the Conway Show checking out at Dodgers Stadium.
Show Aotani has just hit a home run into the

(00:22):
right field bullpen, so that would be the Blue Jays bullpen.
Looks like what is a bullpen? And the Dodgers are
up to nothing in the bottom of the third with
I believe Will Smith? Yeah, Will Smith? Is that bad?
We'll keep you out updated on that. There's going to
be a procession starting momentarily for the fallen deputy. There

(00:44):
are going to be hundreds of cop cars, fire engines
lining that route. And this is all the result of
a shooting that happened very close to the two ten
and the fifteen freeway. The got in a motorcycle, went
eastbound I'm sorry, westbound on the two ten, got off,

(01:06):
then went eastbound on the two ten, and an off
duty deputy put himself on duty, crashed into the motorcycle
rider who is the suspect in that shooting of Deputy
Nunyas who passed away, and that deputy is off to
a hospital then to a jail cell and then to

(01:27):
a prison if indeed that is the case, and it
looks like it is. So we'll have an update on
the procession as well. But it's it's always very moving
to see that, to see the the the up, you know,
the procession and all the very you know, sad faces

(01:48):
of these deputies and firemen who normally would be watching
the Dodger game and are now going to be standing
by and watching a fallen brother pass pass them by,

(02:09):
and for what, you know, a domestic dispute between a couple,
and we don't know what the relationship is. It was
originally called out as a shoplifting, then it was changed
to a domestic but you probably saw if you were

(02:30):
around a TV set or perhaps at home, you probably
saw the chase. And the chase happened at around one
thirty one, fifteen thirty and at one thirty five on
the two ten east bound in the Rancho Cuckamonga and

(02:50):
I guess Upland area. Crozer that's Upland right, yes, sir,
that is okay, So we will we'll have that for you.
The the traffic has been absolutely brutal on the two
ten freeway. Angel's been talking about that all afternoon and
that's the result of the investigation that continues going on. Angel.

(03:14):
In your last report, you said they were letting some
cars squeak by the scene.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah, what I was seeing on the Caltrans camera, See
there were some cars stuck in between the off rams
and they were and that's after the closure, So beyond
the closure, there was still a bunch of cars stuck
on the freeway through the stretch that was closed on
the freeway, and for a while they were letting some
cars through. Some of them were being held there while

(03:44):
they were finished, while the investigation was wrapping up. But
I just took a look at the Caltrans camera just
before that last report, and I saw some cars on
the far right getting through. Now, what I couldn't tell,
and the Highway hasn't updated the information yet, is that
the far right lane cars were using the far right lane. Well,

(04:04):
the Campus on ramp is right there. So I've got
some producers helping out with talking to the highway patrol
right now to find out is it the Campus on
ramp that has reopened or are cars trickling through that
we're stuck in the closure. I also took a deeper
look on that two ten and it appears that traffic

(04:26):
was also being diverted off at baseline. Okay, maybe maybe
to get and that's you know, further west than Mountain,
so they may have done that to take some pressure
off of the two tenies bound approaching Mountain. But yeah, yeah,
and so I'm just waiting for some more clarification from
the Highway patrol. But I've got a note from my

(04:49):
producer right here and it says it does look like
middle lanes are open on the camera. So we're just
still trying to get some clarification and a confirmation that
those are open traveling and not just people using the
campus on ramp.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Oh I see, Okay, okay, Angel'll be on that all
I have to do, And thank you, Angel Martinez. Here's
an update on this story. It is a major story.
Anytime a deputy's shot in line of duty, it is
a lot of people stop and pay their respects and
want more information, and we try to give you as

(05:24):
much as we can. I think this is on Channel
four just a moment ago.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
You're looking at a picture now of Deputy Deputy Andrew
Nunez that was just released just moments ago. He is
a six year veteran of the department. He leaves behind
a wife who was pregnant, as well as a two
year old daughter. Deputy Nunyaz also leaves behind his mother
and four brothers and sisters.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
This all started as a domestic violence call in Rancho
Cucamonga about five and a half hours ago. Authorities tell
us the shooter shot at deputies and then drove off
on a motorcycle onto the two ten Freeway, which ended
in a nasty high speed crash. We're standing by, as
I said, for this procession, with our teams watching from
the ground and from.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
News Chopper four.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Let's begin right now with NBT fours Christian caseres live
from the hospital in Coulton where Christian you know more
about how all of this began.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
That's right, Colleen.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
We just got that information confirmed about an hour ago,
as you mentioned. But no doubt today is just a
very heavy day for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department,
as Sheriff Shannon Diks confirmed that Deputy Andrew Nuniaz did
not survive that shooting that happened earlier this afternoon. Now,
I want to show you that scene here behind me

(06:40):
where we are waiting for that procession to start. As
you mentioned here, it's supposed to start at six o'clock
from Arrowhead Regional Medical Center here in Colton, and it's
supposed to be going to the corner's office, which is
about fifteen minutes away. Now we have learned Deputy Unia's
responded to a domestic violence call around twelve thirty this
afternoon on a holicoch Drive after reports of an armed man.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Was threatening a We know this started with a domestic
violence call. Then, as Christian said, the suspect took off.
This is on the two ten. He's going faster than
one hundred and fifty miles an hour there, you see,
for whatever reason, that car moved into the other lane
and hit the rider on the motorcycle. We heard from
the sheriff, Sheriffdikas that the driver in that car may

(07:26):
have been an off duty law enforcement off duty deputy, but.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
That's what he said. He said that that was an
intentional move by that sheriff deputy in order to bring
that pursuit to an end. And we showed you that
very dramatic video there. But we should also tell you
that the suspect who was on that motorcycle and got
flipped off the bike is said to be in stable
condition at the hospital.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Term and will be charged with murder and perhaps charges
associated with domestic violence.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
I believe we've Colleen and Carolyn, Yes, I can hear you.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
And as I was mentioning we were talking about that pursuit,
the sheriff telling us about an hour ago that the
suspect was traveling on the two ten freeway at very
dangerous speeds, almost up to two hundred miles per hour
at one point. But ultimately, as we saw in those images,
he came to a crash and that's where several of

(08:19):
the Sheriff's department deputies were able to make an arrest,
and as you mentioned also that driver was taken to
the hospital. Now, the San Bernardino County District Attorney, Jason
Alexander also spoke about an hour ago, telling us that
that suspect will face charges for murder and possibly domestic
of violence. And we also just learned NBC four investigates

(08:41):
we have learned that preliminary information indicating that that motorcyclist
and accused gunman is an employee of the.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Department of Corrections.

Speaker 6 (08:49):
But again, guys, a very difficult day here for the sampat.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Okay, that's new information here that the suspect may be
with the Department of Corrections.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Also just learned NBC four investigates, we have learned that
preliminary information indicating that that motorcyclist and the qust gunman
is an employee of the Department of Corrections. But again, guys,
a very difficult day here for the San Bernardino County
Sheriff's Department after learning that Deputy Anthony Junius was killed
this afternoon. Again you're taking a live look here at this.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Wow, what a strange twist. Strange twist that he's part
of the Department of Corrections. And if that's true, that
is an odd connection, very very strange. All Right, we'll
continue to keep an eye on this. There's gonna be
a procession leaving soon out of the Rancho Cucamonga area

(09:41):
or Upland area, and you'll be able to see that
on all the TV news stations that are not covering sports.
I know that ABC has Monday Night football on and
Fox is running the Dodger game and a Dodger update,
And again seems secondarily and less significant obviously considering what

(10:03):
happened today in the Upland area. Dodgers two, Toronto zero
in the top of the fourth inning. It's The Convoy Show.
We're live on KFI AM six forty. KFI AM six forty.
It is The Convoy Show and updated Dodgers Stadium. The
Blue Jays have just hit a home run after an
error by Edmond and second base, and it's Toronto three

(10:26):
Dodgers two. So disaster, disastrous fourth inning for the Los
Angeles Dodgers. Very quiet stadium right now, man on first
and looks like he just got a single. So be
man on first and third with one out in the
fourth inning, and.

Speaker 7 (10:46):
Oh my god, floodgates.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
It's horrible, just horrible. But I have a feeling that's
a wrap too. I think Roberts will remove go for
another picture. I think that's the that's it. So even
though it's still three to two, it looks like Toronto
is discovered a way to get multiple hits and it's

(11:11):
not looking good. You know, if you spent eight hundred
dollars or sixteen thousand dollars to go see this game
right now, you're bumming, but only one rundown in the
fourth inning. It's a long game. We've got more than
half the game left, so we'll see. We'll see, all right,
if we're watching TV, maybe out of one eye while

(11:32):
you're listening to us, here a huge procession for fallen
San Bernardino County Deputy Andrew Nunez, who has been on
the department for six years. He was shot and killed
in a domestic dispute. And here is ultimately the sad
sad news is he leaves a pregnant wife behind and

(12:00):
a two year old. A two year old and a
pregnant wife. And if you are a mom and you've
gone through pregnancy, it is challenging in the best circumstances.
But when tragedy and disaster hits your family like this,

(12:23):
I can't imagine the level of anguish and anxiety that
that induces. So let's turn the volume up here on
NBC and see what the procession is just leaving.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Right now, family and colleagues and friends.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Let's check in with Brian andrews Now he's overhead for
us in news chop er four.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Brian, Yeah, so moments ago we saw that flag drip
coffin come out and be put into that corners van.
All the officers and deputies surrounding that exit were saluting
is getting an attention, and now that van is moving
on the course of its procession. As you can see,
hundreds of officers and deputies from the area and surrounding

(13:07):
areas are accompanying that officer on his final possession.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
There, you see we talk about deputies, but they're also
first responders out there as well. You see the fire
department with a ceremony that's typically reserved four officers and
firefighters and sometimes military personnel as well. You see the
extended flag between the two ladders.

Speaker 6 (13:32):
Here.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Deputy Nunez, Andrew Nunez, we know he was a six
year veteran of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. He
leaves behind a wife who was pregnant, a two year
old daughter, his mother. He had four brothers and sisters,
all grieving the loss of their family member.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Today we heard Shannondikas the sheriff, talking about just how
painful this is and he said that his county, it's
become all too familiar for officers within his county to
suffer this kind of a loss. He says his county
has proven time and again to be a dangerous one.
There have been eighty one officer involved shootings this year alone.

(14:12):
That doesn't speak to how many have died in the
line of duty, but we do know there have been
several and it is never easy for those who work
in the community, who know this officer from the community
to cope with this type of loss.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Interesting as well, the information that we gleaned. NBC four
investigates reported within the past thirty minutes or so that
the writer, the suspect in this case, is an employee
of the Department of Corrections. We know that he was
involved in a crash on the two ten freeways, riding
a motorcycle involved in an accident there. He is hospitalized

(14:50):
but listed in stable condition.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
And we have heard from the DA. The San Bernardino
County DA Jason Anderson said within the next two days
he expects to file murder charges and possible charges of
domestic violence as well. Of course, we're going to certainly
continue to follow all of this for you, and.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
We'll continue to follow it as well. We have to
take a small break here, but when we come back,
we'll let you know the route of this procession and
whether it's going to end up on some of the freeways.
You might see it pass you by. There'll be a
lot of officers and firefighters on the overpasses, maybe the
two ten, maybe the fifteen freeway. This is in Colton,

(15:31):
might involve the ten freeway as well. So it's very
slow moving right now. It looks like there's a freeway
in the foreground there. I can't tell which freeway that is,
but this is a it's a very sad scene and
it seems to play out much more often now on

(15:52):
TV than it did when I was growing up a
lot more. This happened maybe once or every three or
four years, and now it seems like there's three, four,
five of them a year, and sometimes even multiple officers
as well. But Andrew Nunyez, six year veteran, again leaves

(16:14):
behind a wife who's pregnant and a two year old daughter,
and you can see the people on the freeway slowing
down to pay their respects. All the traffic is stopped
there in Colton, and we'll see when we come back
if they do get on the freeway and which route

(16:35):
they're going to take care it is the procession of
the fallen San Bernardino County Deputy Andrew Nunyez, And we're
live on KFI AM six forty. You're listening to Tim
Conway Junior on demand from KFI AM six forty KFI
AM six forty. It is The Conway Show. The Dodgers

(16:56):
are out of the bottom of the fourth inning and
is four to two Toronto. Four to two Toronto. A
play at home where Freddy Freeman was called out and
then an air by second baseman Edmund have led to
the four runs that the Blue Jays have scored. Actually

(17:18):
that's not true. Freddy Freeman's out did not add to
the blue Jays run. But it is a nail biting game.
And Schurezer is still pitching. He's forty one years old
and still pitching. In going into the fifth inning, I.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
Think they put the Luke's in.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Oh Lukes, Okay, So they pulled Sureser. Okay, good, all right,
So he's he's done. Blue Jay's four, Dodgers two. Still
a lot of baseball to be played, fifth, sixth, seventh,
eight to ninth, five more at bats, a lot of baseball.
We have a sad procession taking place right now. The
body of Andrew Nuniez, a deputy with San Bernardino County,

(18:05):
was shot and killed. And that's out in Colton, very
close to the ten Freeway, just west of the two
point fifteen Freeway. And so if you're in that area.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
And yeah, basically it's just sam Merddino in the city.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah yeah. And if you're if in the area and
you see a lot of cops, that's what's going on.
I don't know if they're getting on the ten Freeway
or you know what direction they're going, but you're going
to see a lot of firefighters and a lot of
cops out in that area.

Speaker 8 (18:36):
If they're going to the corner's office that's in sam Maradino.

Speaker 7 (18:39):
So it's gonna be a short trip.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Oh yeah. So it might be just a couple miles
and just a horrible night for that family. So we
keep you updated on that story. Any more information comes
out of it, we will have that for you immediately.
And also the Dodger score for to two, Toronto over
the Dodgers in the top of the fifth inning. Yeah,

(19:03):
top of the fifth with no outs and Toronto coming
to bat. All right, there was a there was another
story here that sort of take your mind off of this,
you know, crazy place we live. There was the very
first person. It's an America. It's an American and kind

(19:23):
of a dumb thing. I guess, I don't know, maybe
a certainly a dangerous thing. Is the first person to
ever skied down Mount Everest climbed up and then skied
down Mount Everest on Well, I've never even heard of
this before.

Speaker 9 (19:41):
It's astonishing. Video taken on Mount Everest, an American skiing
down the world's highest peak. He's the first person to
ski down everest most challenging route, a narrow and steep
gully on the infamous north face. And get this, Before
he could ski down, he first had to make the
arduous climb to the top.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Oh, there was no chairlifts, no gondola that makes it
up that high. No, that makes sense, Yeah, that probably
makes sense.

Speaker 9 (20:07):
Adventurer Jim Morrison appeared on Good Morning America today.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
I had to be very precise and make sure that
I didn't make a mistake.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Any dangerous moments, what do you think?

Speaker 5 (20:19):
No?

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Zero?

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Yeah, it's all good. A billion every eight feet.

Speaker 8 (20:23):
Any dangerous moments, pretty much every moment.

Speaker 9 (20:30):
Also in the studio, the filmmaker who shot the unbelievable footage.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
We trained for literally years, you know, like normal stuff
will carry a fifty pound pack of mountains.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
But we also have a lifetime of experience, you know,
in the mountains.

Speaker 9 (20:48):
The adventure is the subject of a new National geographic special.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Oh, that's gotta be kind of cool. And man, that
guy has to be in great shape.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
You know.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
When people climb mount evers, they only take what they
need for that your four day period.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Minimal.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Man, They don't take skis and ski boots and goggles
and you know, ski clothes and I don't know, sandwiches
or chapstick, whatever you take up there with you.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Someone else is carrying all their stuff for them anyway.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Usually, Yeah, maybe one of the sherpas is not what
they call those cats. They're the ones doing on the
heavy lifting. Didn't you used to call yourself the sherpa
of the show.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Well, I'm definitely the travel sherpa for my mom, and
I'm definitely the traffic shurpa for the show.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Yeah right, How are the freeways looking any relief?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah? Absolutely, they have the far right lane open at
the scene of the investigation on the two Tenny spound
at campus, and so that's giving tons of relief for
the two ten freeway. It's still you know, just crawling,
but they're not diverting off anymore, and traffic is backing
up from just not quite Town Avenue but just before Baseline,

(22:02):
so right in between, and it's it's still tough out there.
You know, you still have only one lane open.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
What does it look like two ten from the fifty
seven to the scene of the of the accident.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
So from the fifty seven heading eastbound, it's it's open
until you pass Town Avenue and then you're on the
breaks before Baseline Road all the way to campus.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Okay, that's still quite a hike though.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Itsure is, but you know, the freeways barely open. They
have one lane squeezing by, and you're no longer being
diverted off of the freeway at.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Mountain Okay, Baseline, I see. Okay, So in that big
you know s turn where Krozier lives out there, where
that Whole Foods is. I'm very jealous of that whole center.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
Yeah, so that's the Baseline exit. Yeah, that that she's
talking about.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Isn't there a Quirky's out there too?

Speaker 6 (22:58):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (22:58):
There is that little shelve.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
It's my place.

Speaker 7 (23:01):
That was a doghouse in there.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
And I love that whole Stone creamery in there. Oh
my god, Wendy's you got it made. I bet there's
a Chipotle.

Speaker 7 (23:10):
Out there is a Chipotle, man, you know what you're
talking about.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
And it wouldn't be a complete center without Starbucks. There's
one out.

Speaker 7 (23:18):
There, yes, sir.

Speaker 8 (23:19):
In that little shopping center's a Biola's Chicken and waffles
place too.

Speaker 7 (23:23):
That's really good.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Well, I'm looking at traffic right now, and I'm looking
at your house without telling people where you live. Yeah,
and if you over you look over your fence, you
will see cars completely stop.

Speaker 7 (23:32):
Fantastic.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Yeah, and you are going, well, you know what, that's
not true, Krozier. If you get on the two ten
and you're driving home, you're gonna have a little traffic
until you get to the fifty seven, But once you
cross the fifty seven, you're all you're wide open until
you get home.

Speaker 8 (23:46):
That's kind of I was thinking what Angel was talking
about there is I'm wondering does it does the backup here?

Speaker 7 (23:51):
Does that help positively?

Speaker 8 (23:53):
Like getting through where the six oh five is and
where Pasadena.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Is Yeah, I think people are avoiding the two ten completely.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Only heavy after it's not bad at all. Heading in
the fifty seven.

Speaker 8 (24:07):
You're fading out there right on, man, I'll take that
right at the fifty seven. Yeah, normally that's right where
a little buckle's up there, just past the fifty seven.
Going to eastbound on that two ten. But yeah, like
she said, so I can get almost home before I
might have to get off like an exit too early.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
All right, And here's a secret for people traveling and
I might as well say it. But if you're traveling
eastbound on the two ten and you get off at Foothill, easy,
easy on off for a very good Jack in the
Box right there. Oh yes, and it's right near that
place Outdoor Elegance. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (24:42):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Neil always does his live remotes with the guy named
Doug I think is the guy who owns up place.
So yeah, Outdoor Elegance. There's a Jack of the sorry
Jack in the Box there, Easy off, Jack in the Box,
Easy on at Foothill, one of my stops on the
way out to Morocco. All right, we're live on CAFI
AM six. Forty Dodgers are down forty two in the

(25:07):
top of the fifth inning and Toronto won out and
a man on.

Speaker 8 (25:12):
First Yeah, I don't I was mistaken earlier the display
here in the mode of the way they had it
set up. Surezer might still be in the game. We
have to find it went to there.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Okay, all right, we're live on CAFI M six forty
FI AM six forty Conway Show. The freeways are still
a mess out there on the two ten in Upland
Rancho Cucamonga area two ten east bound, an absolute mess.
So if you can avoid that, try to. It's all
the result of a motorcycle accident, and the motorcycle is

(25:43):
being driven by the suspect who shot and killed Andrew Nunez,
who is a deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's
Department and responding to a domestic was shot in the
head and killed, took off on a motorcycle, and then
an off duty deputy turned himself on duty and ran

(26:03):
into the motorcycle. And that chap is in the hospital
right now recovering. Then he'll be thrown in jail and
then probably prison for a long long time. Don't do
it if you have domestic problems with your wife, your daughter,
your girl or your wife, your girlfriend, your husband, your boyfriend.

(26:26):
I cool your heels. This is now worth it. This
man will spend probably the rest of his life in
prison over this. Over what? All right, We'll keep an
eye on the Dodger game. And right now it's forty

(26:46):
two and the Dodgers are on the short end of
that stick, but still five innings left, so anything could happen.
If Toronto continues here and goes on to win this game,
they'll be up two games to one, which means that
at the Dodgers will not be able to win the
World Series at home if they go on to do that.
And I can't remember the last time the Dodgers won

(27:07):
the World Series at home. I don't remember in front
of a big, you know, a huge full audience. I
don't remember the last time they won at home. I'm
sure somebody has that. All right, there's a huge costume
shop in North Hollywood, very famous place for costume rentals,

(27:32):
and it's closing after fifty years. Fifty years. Let's find
out what's happening out there in North HOLLYE.

Speaker 10 (27:38):
I got this lovely satin down it's just.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
The color that I like Krusher. Krusher, please, we're trying
to do a news story here.

Speaker 11 (27:46):
To take advantage of a bitter sweet sale. I like Costumerie.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
There'd probably be a lot of.

Speaker 11 (27:51):
Costumery signaling a sad sign of the times for the
state of the LA movie and TV industry.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
I do feel, you know, sadness, because I think the
movie industry is dying in Hollywood.

Speaker 11 (28:02):
This parking lot.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Now, that's that sounds like that's coming from somebody who's
not even in the know. She just sees that the
streets are not filled with vans and Dooley's and prop trucks,
and nobody's shooting anything in LA. When it comes to
TV or movie production, it's down historically and there are

(28:23):
less there's less production in Los Angeles right now in
Hollywood than there was during the actors and the writers
strike about that. But this woman just notices, you know,
between I don't know, Pilates, class and Starbucks, that Hollywood
is going through it right now.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
I do feel, you know, sadness because I think that
the movie industry is dying in Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
And she's right, She's right.

Speaker 11 (28:50):
This parking lot now full of pieces once kept in
a sprawling sixty six thousand square foot North Hollywood warehouse.
It was home to the family owned company known as
the Costume Rental Corporation, which opened its doors in nineteen
seventy six. It boasted dozens of rows of shoes and costumes.
The company once the premier supplier for military and police

(29:13):
costume rentals.

Speaker 10 (29:15):
I mean, yeah, that's my main thought is ouch, I
don't like it.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
I'm reaping the benefits currently.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
It's just it's a small little silver lining of joy
that we can have, and you know, like it's sad.

Speaker 11 (29:25):
The harsh reality of another TV and film related closure
came at the perfect time for people looking for a
last minute Halloween costume.

Speaker 7 (29:33):
I think this is awesome that they opened.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
By the way, is this not a sign for the
politicians that the movie and television industry is dying in
LA where this costume house has been around since nineteen
seventy six, fifty years and they've got to close up
because there's not enough business.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
I think this is awesome that they opened it to
the public so that everyone has access to.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Seth Yeah, but it's at the expense of the entire industry.
There's got to be something done. Doesn't the governor or
the mayor. Shouldn't this be their priority to keep show
business alive.

Speaker 11 (30:06):
Pieces that once graced the big screen now held in
grocery bags and clothing bins.

Speaker 10 (30:11):
I wish they didn't have to, And you know, that way,
you know, could keep some places in business, that's right.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
The story's very smart, man. I like this guy, very
smart dude.

Speaker 10 (30:20):
I wish they didn't have to, and that way, I'm
with you, you know, could keep some places in business.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
That's right. He must to be a business major.

Speaker 11 (30:27):
The storied studio legacy taking its final balances.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Really sad. It is really sad. I'm with this guy.
It's really sad. People aren't sad enough.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Really sad.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
It is sad it's going away. They got to do
something about it. Really sad.

Speaker 11 (30:42):
But so many people taking advantage of giving what little
support and last support they can to keep this place going.
According to their website, the business would also create custom
pieces if studios maybe couldn't find what they were looking
for on site. We have reached out to employees and
the owner for comment on this closure. I said, at
this time, they're just too sad to give a statement.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Oh it is the worst, the absolute worst. All right,
it's just another sad story, you know, coming out of
Los Angeles and in Hollywood. Update on the Dodgers four
to two, bottom of the six with one out and

(31:21):
man on first, so it looks like they might be Yeah,
they're changing pictures. The Blue Jays are changing pictures, and
so we'll see Shoho Tani's coming up with one swing,
he could tie this game. That would be fantastic for
all the people that went out to Dodgers Stadium this
afternoon and this evening. What a beautiful day to be

(31:43):
out there. I know the score is not great, but
it just a beautiful day. I want to bring this in.
I don't know why this irritated me, and obviously we
had some much bigger stories. But I bought a sandwich today.
I'm not going to tell you what place it was,
and it's like an okay sandwich, you know it was.
It wasn't great, it wasn't bad. It was just it
was pretty decent. And the total for one turkey club

(32:07):
So it's turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato twenty two dollars
and eighty seven cents for one sandwich twenty two dollars
and eighty seven cents. I will tell you it does

(32:27):
have a tendency to empty the places. When you're charging
twenty two dollars a sandwich, they get your order done
pretty quickly because there's very few people in there. All right,
we got to get out of here. God bless the
Andrew Nuniaz family. We're going to have much more on
that as the days come and the weeks come. It's

(32:49):
going to be very sad. He leaves behind. He was
the deputy shot today. He leaves behind a wife with
a two year old daughter and a wife who's pregnant.
And so please please keep them in your thoughts and
your prayers. If you know the family, please pass our
our thoughts and prayers onto that family. They are going

(33:10):
to need it, man, are they going to need it.
Hopefully they start a fundme or go fund me or
a charity for this young man, and we'll talk about
that and then we'll also have the details for the
funeral as well. Sorry it, you know, it bum me out,
but it's really important when an officer gets shot in
the line of duty. I think it's all of our

(33:30):
responsibility to make it important and so it doesn't happen
with regularity, So you got to do your job to
get the word out there that is important and it's
wrong and it's horrible and it's outrageous. All Right, We're
