Speaker 1 (01:43):
That's great. I know.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
I wish Michelle would get pranked like that.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
That's great. Did he end up winning the money or
getting the money?
Speaker 6 (01:50):
He did?
Speaker 1 (01:50):
He did.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
He finally discovered that, oh it's legitimate when he signed
into his account and he saw that his account had
been funded and the whole bit.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Usually they give those twenty five thousand for the rest
of your life. Usually give them to ninety five year olds. Hey, yeah,
and one Hey it's ninety eight. Yeah, I know, hopefully
makes it in ninety nine. That's a great story. All right,
step fush what's going on? Bob? Well?
Speaker 7 (02:16):
You like some Rande's Donuts, don't you? Who's Randy? I
love random? Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 8 (02:20):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (02:21):
The iconic La donut chain Randy's Donuts just opened its
first ever Japan location at Log Road. It's in Tokyo
and yeah, it's as sweet as it sounds. The new

massive display case that can hold up to wait for

(02:44):
and a cozy dynam area for you to enjoy a
nice glazed donut.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
So yeah, it's sweet. There's no reason why just Americans
have to be fat. Let's bring the Japanese in on this.
Get everyone, yeah thing, dog, I guess they like donuts there, right, Yeah,
entirely all right, the Krozier. What's happening, Bob, Well, new.
Speaker 9 (03:04):
Material you'll love this that starts out as wood is
about to revolutionize how things are made. It's called super wood,
and it's going to start beginning mass production this summer.
It was invented at the University of Maryland using a
polymer on actual wood that is then compressed at one
hundred and fifty degrees. Making it and using it is
great for the environment. It's got fifty percent more strength
(03:25):
than steel, while it's also lighter, tougher, and super dense,
so no rot, no moisture, no termites. It's also got
the best fire rating possible. The initial use is going
to be for commercial and high end residential interior projects,
with no special tools needed to cut it and drill
it and all that stuff. It will eventually be used
for things like vehicles and aircraft. And furniture because it
(03:46):
can be molded. The price is about it's going to
be high. Initially, it's about the same as that high
end tropical hardwood or those hybrid woods that are kind
of like concrete wood. But that price will eventually come
down as it gets more popular.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
And where is this all coming from? What part of
the world here? It was invented at the University of Maryland.
It's called superwood superwood. Yeah, sounds like an eat change everything,
an E D drug. You're going to hear that eventually
on this station. I don't know what you mean. Superwood
dot com.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
That's what Dean was mentioning yesterday.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, And if Dean's not listening right now, he's going
to talk about it next Thursday, Like we don't know
anything about it. That's gonna be great. So we're going
to all up pretend we didn't know what. Yeah, next
Thursday at six twenty when he brings up, you're not
gonna believe this is super really odd.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
That's awa man, amazing.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
That's great. All right, belly, what's going on out there?
Speaker 6 (04:42):
So Charter Communications, the owner of Spectrum, is buying rival
Cox Communications from twenty two billion dollars. It will create
one of the largest US cable and broadband providers, with
about thirty eight million subscribers, surpassing Comcast. The move aims
to boost Charters by of internet, TV and mobile as
a battle streaming giants and wireless carriers. Cox's parents, parent
(05:05):
company will hold twenty three percent of the new entity,
and the combined firm will continue using Spectrum as its
consumer brand. The deal will likely face heavy antitrust scrutiny,
and Charter expects five hundred million dollars in cost savings
by twenty twenty nine. The deal is set to close
by mid twenty twenty six, pending regulatory approval.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Oh man, that's a big deal. That's a huge shoe.
What do you have at your house? You have cable
or satellite? You have Cox? Yeah? Yeah, I got Spectrum
so I can watch those Dodgers.
Speaker 8 (05:37):
Man.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
That's the reason I got it to watch the Dodgers.
And all right, so that's a cool deal. All right,
thank you all gang. That is the five oh five
news whip ding dong with all of you. All right,
got a second here, I think too to be able
to do this story. Starbucks has a brand new drink
out there. It's going to cost you forty four forty
(06:01):
four bucks for this brand new drink. And Starbucks.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
You know, we wake up.
Speaker 10 (06:04):
Really early in the morning and sometimes we need another
pick me up. So earlier this morning we told you
about the forty five dollars coffee being sold at Starbucks
forty four ninety seven to be exact. Wow, we went
to Starbucks and we are about to do a taste test.
We're going to tell you the honest truth if this
is worth forty five dollars. First, while they pour it,
take your time, let me remind.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
You what's in it?
Speaker 10 (06:26):
Yeah, tell us two espresso shots, Okay, twelve affogato style shots.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Oh, I like that moocha and dark.
Speaker 10 (06:33):
Caramel sauces, caramel drizzle. We've got a frappuccino, chips and
Hi Jens coming in here for this caramel crunch topping,
vanilla bean, chocolate, malt, powder, scoops, whipped cream. That is
free and it's forty four dollars and nine seven cents.
It's got macha and that's the first question I asked.
What looks like mud? So is this worth forty five dollars?
No cheers cheers cheered for our honest review. Okay, an
(06:59):
earthy smell to it, No, really like it's okay, it's.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Not as strong as I thought it would take.
Speaker 10 (07:07):
For forty five dollars I wanted to make me want
to do a cartwheel.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Will be taking the whole thing. You will be doing that.
Speaker 9 (07:13):
And you know what'd be right if you had a
scoop of vanilla ice cream and.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
You poured this over it.
Speaker 10 (07:18):
It's not that bad, but it's not forty four dollars.
Speaker 8 (07:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
If it wakes me up and makes me do amazing things.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
That's yeah. Okay, So that drink is forty five dollars
with tip you're looking at you know, ten percent is
what five dollars. So if so, it's a fifty dollars
drink you multiplied by Let's say you had one every
day you got a digted to it. That's eighteen thousand,
two hundred and fifty dollars just for that drink every day,
(07:46):
eighteen thousand dollars a year. Now, if you had over
the course of your twenty year employment here at KFI,
that'd be three hundred and sixty five thousand dollars for
twenty years of drinking that drink every day forty four
dollars and ninety seven cents for one cup of coffee.
What's going on out there?
Speaker 2 (08:07):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
There are a one hundred and forty million people in
this nation, this great nation of ours, who could be
affected by crazy weather over the next few days. Like radical,
radical weather. We talked a little bit about yesterday, but
if you're going anywhere, you really have to check with
your airline to see if they're actually going to where
(08:34):
you want to go, because these storms are radical, I
mean unbelievable.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
Yeah, four people were killed in Saint Louis after two
tornadoes touchdown.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Wow, Wow Wow. All right, we're gonna give away one
thousand bucks, or at least try to go one thousand bucks.
Then we're going to get into the storm. Here's how
you win a thousand bucks. Now your chance to win
one thousand dollars. Just enter this nationwide keyword on our website.
Cash that's cash cash.
Speaker 2 (08:58):

Sweet James one eight hundred nine million. That's one eight
hundred nine million, or sweet James dot com.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
All right, just go to the website. Hey, if I am
six forty dot com slash cash keyword is cash c
A s H. You could win uh thousand dollars. Let's
get into the storm. It's it's crazy, it's it's uh.
It's gonna be talked about on the national news. There
are probably the number one story in southern Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
A suspected tornado carved a trail of destruction through Dodge
County and Juno. The violent storm peeled the roofs off
some homes, obliterated other buildings, and toppled power poles. Severe
winds crumbled the sign of a factory and destroyed several
more houses in Mayville.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I could feel the pressure drop. My ears popped. I
kind of like get sucked.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
The air out of the room. It's sent a large
tree crashing into Angi Fiori's home, landing on her front porch.
Fury says she's thankful for the community's help clearing up
the damage.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
It's just amazing, just how people just came out and
just started cutting trees, you know, for people they don't
even know.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Oh, listen to those air sirens going off, the alert
air sirens. Oh that's scary as hell, all right, Elex
Michael sim Is on, he's got his own show he
does say at five o'clock, six o'clock news on Channel eleven.
He also has the issue is and it's this guy
has got a lot of big interviews, and this week
is no exception. He's with us, Alex, how you.
Speaker 8 (10:28):
Bob dang dong with you dig dong with you?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Man? You got a lot of big celebrities on that
show yours?
Speaker 8 (10:36):
Well, I mean none bigger than you, of course. Well
can we do our best?
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay? All right? I find that a little insulting. Do
you think that that that's an authentic compliment? But I'll
just brush it off. Buddy, Where did you get all
these big interviews? What was the big conference?
Speaker 8 (10:52):
It's called the Milk and Global Conference, which has been
happening for a few decades now in Beverly Hills, and
it brings together a lot of the biggest names in
tech and science and politics and entertainment and sports. Both
parties represented all kind of in one place, five thousand people,
(11:14):
eighty different countries, a thousand speakers. For the first time
this year, they asked me to be one of the speakers.
I moderated a panel on the California wildfire response, which
was interesting, but we had chance to talk to all
these different people and put it together as one half
hour special which is on tonight.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Who did you Who are you most impressed by? Which
one of these celebrities or athletes?
Speaker 8 (11:40):
Man, You know, it was really great listening to Magic
Johnson and he talked about some of his stories of
playing with Michael Jordan and Larry Bird on the Dream
Team and him talking also about business, and it was
really interesting. He did a panel with Alex Rodriguez, who
I didn't realize, you know, was he dreamed about being
(12:02):
Magic Johnson as a kid, and he told a story
about how when he was nineteen years old and first
starting out in baseball, he reached out to Magic Johnson
and asked for a meeting, and Magic gave him one.
It was only supposed to be twenty minutes, but Magic
had something canceled afterwards, and they ended up together for
three hours and throughout his whole life. He's been mentoring
(12:22):
him not only as a sports athlete, but as a
business guy. And so now Magic, who's owned all these
sports franchises, Alex Rodriguez, is now in that business. He's
one of the owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and now
the two of them are working together with Anthony Edwards,
who's on the Timberwolves, to try to get him in
that head space as well. He's twenty three years old now,
(12:44):
so it was really interesting. I loved hearing them talk
about that, how they used their love of sport and
then became really big business guys. I mean Magic Johnson,
between his titles as a player and his titles as
an owner, has seventeen champions man.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
You know, nobody outside nobody outside of family members, has
given me so much pleasure in Los Angeles than Magic Johnson.
Speaker 8 (13:09):
I mean, you think about it. Is there anybody who's
like more of an ultimate LA guy. I mean you
think of Magic and Kobe and Vince Scully and Tommy Lasorda,
like they're all sports people. Yeah, there is something, there
is something he says. But you think about Magic not
only obviously, you know, one of the great lakers of
all time, but an owner with LAFC, an owner with
(13:30):
the Dodgers, an owner with the Sparks, and now he's
one of the owners of the Washington Commanders as well.
He was talking about that.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
But you also, I don't know if you blew over
this on purpose, but he also owned a couple of
tgifs and Starbucks.
Speaker 8 (13:48):
Yeh told the story about the fact that he was
one of the first people that ever got the en
franchises for Starbucks, and he said that the board was
scared to get invested in South LA and to be
invested in urban communities, and so he said took him
about a year to convince them. They all loved Magic
the player. They all wanted the picture with the smile
(14:10):
and the whole thing, but they didn't want to give
him money. And then eventually he convinced them, and then
he became wildly successful doing that.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
When you talk to these athletes like Magic Johnson, do
you get the sense of he knows who you are
or you're just another right TV guy.
Speaker 8 (14:28):
I don't know how much he knew who I was.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
At leaped, Yeah, that's so, don't need to bring you down.
Speaker 8 (14:43):
At Milkin was here surrounded by billionaires and some of
the biggest names. That was a very very small fish
and that's fun.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
That's so great. Yeah, I think about it, Tim, I
was on a high before you brought that up. I
really appreciate you bringing that up.
Speaker 8 (14:59):
Who did you talk to you honest on this show?
Speaker 1 (15:02):
That's right, that's right, we do honesty, buddy. Who else
did you talk to? It was going to be on tonight.
Speaker 8 (15:07):
Yeah, So we we talked with doctor Oz, my old
pal who's now running Medicare and medicaid for the whole country.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
How do you guys and how do you guys know
each other? I didn't know your friends well.
Speaker 8 (15:18):
Well, I mean I was friends is a bit much,
but he was. You know, a show was on Fox
eleven for years, and so during COVID when I did
the show with Doctor Drew every night, Doctor Oz was
on with us at least once a week, if not more,
And whenever Doctor Drew was off, doctor Roz would be
the fill in co host. So so I got to
know him pretty well during that experience. But he's now
(15:38):
running Medicare and medicaid for Trump. We talked about that.
We talked with Lynda McMahon, the Secretary of Education, who
of course, used to run WWE and it was interesting,
you know, because Trump wants to get rid of the
Department of Education. So she told me that the President
told her that she would be successful when she fires herself.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Okay, right, apartment?
Speaker 8 (16:00):
Does it exists? Jennifer Siebo Newsome the the California First Partner.
We talked to some of the leaders in the political
analysis space, and then we did this panel on the
fires with with Mayor Karen Bass, with Lindsay Horvat the supervisor,
with Evan Spiegel who runs Snapchat, who's the son of
the Palisades, With Cinny Canard, who runs they Anderberg Foundation,
(16:22):
who's leading a lot of the philanthropic philanthropic efforts. And
we asked some tough questions to the mayor about what
happened and where we're going in terms of the fire.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Can you please please tell me that Gavin Newsom's wife
didn't ask you to refer to her as first partner.
Speaker 8 (16:39):
That is the title that she goes by. Are you
offended by that?
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (16:44):
I don't like that.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Well, I don't know what's the you know, partner? I mean,
did we all vote for her and him or we
just voted for him.
Speaker 8 (16:51):
Well, I think she said that she is trying to
change us thinking about it as the first lady, anticipating
that down the road there's going to be maybe a
gay governor, or be a female governor, and so she
wants to change the thinking about for I mean, you know,
maybe it should be called first spouse, but she wants
(17:13):
to think of it differently, and so as the first
lady of California, she wanted to start changing the way
people think about it, so when it happens down the road,
it won't be as weird.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
I'm glad, I asked. I'm glad, I asked, buddy, what
you brought it up? Yeah? I totally booted that one.
What is the show tonight at ten thirty on Channel eleven?
Speaker 8 (17:31):
That's it?
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Did you have you been asked yet to speak to
give the commencement speech at you see, a USC graduated.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
Has never been asked.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
One of their big alum are one of their big graduates.
Speaker 8 (17:44):
They do really big names at that school, though I
went to two biggest school. I mean they have well,
they have your favorite at the Annenberg School. Jane Fonda
is giving the graduation.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yeah, I know you love her, so I enjoy her.
Speaker 8 (17:57):
Yes, yeah, but they give people like oh bruh, and
they get, you know, like really big names at their school.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I heard Jane Fonda doesn't want a podium there, she
wants an anti aircraft gun turret.
Speaker 8 (18:12):
That was That was it? Yeah, that was it. No
matter what happened, you're never given up, which is fine.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Okay, that's right, it is okay, buddy. I appreciate you
coming on. Man, you're a giant stud I hope you
enjoy the weekend and we'll talk to you next week.
You are too well, did talk with you?
Speaker 3 (18:32):
All?
Speaker 8 (18:32):
Right?
Speaker 11 (18:33):
There?
Speaker 1 (18:33):
He goes Alex Michael sitting. That guy's great, man. That
guy's a cool dude. H Bellio came in and gave
me a letter. What is this? Fort is a retirement
resigning here? Tim? I enjoyed the show. We've enjoyed our
last twelve years. I didn't want to do this off
the air. I'm out of here. I'm going back to Irvine,
(18:54):
spending time with my husband John as we get into
our r V and travel the United States. I left
Steph Fuj with all the codes for the social media.
It was fun working with you, with Krozier and stepf
Fuje and sometimes Angel Martinez love Sharon Bellio Ti. She
(19:16):
goes all right, Well we'll figure it out without her.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on Demyan from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Well, let's get right to David Vasse with your Los
Angeles Dodgers lots going on, checking in about maybe I
don't know a quarter the way through the season. David Vasse,
how you, Bob.
Speaker 11 (19:37):
I'm doing great. It's the first game of a freeway
series between the Dodgers and Angels here at Dodgers Stadium,
and standing right next to me, Tim Conway Junior is
one of your most loyal listeners and major close Sani
was here to greet Tom Taylor, the Angels traveling secretary.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Ding dong All.
Speaker 11 (20:00):
Went out of his way to come say hello to
Tom Taylor. Otani does not go out of his way
for anybody that shows you you have a big time
listener here and right now, I'm looking at Kenley Jansen,
who pitches for the Angels, even though he is the
all time Dodgers safe leader. Visiting with Hall of Famer
or future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw so a lot
(20:21):
going on here, a lot of stars at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Okay, So Clayton Kershaw is going to be pitching tomorrow
for the first time, and how long.
Speaker 11 (20:30):
That'll be the first time since the first half of
last year. June of last year, he went through a
pretty big deal, had surgery on his left knee and
left foot the very same day during the off season.
He figured, let's just get both of these over with
on the same day. So doctor Neil Elatrosh took care
(20:51):
or his people took care of it for him.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Okay, I saw something on the news today that you know,
he's very loyal to some of the Dodger catchers who've
been working with for a long time, like Austin Barnes.
Is Austin Barnes leaving the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Speaker 11 (21:10):
Yes, he has left the Dodgers. The Dodgers informed Austin
Barnes after Tuesday night's game that they are cutting ties
with him, and they called up one of the best
young hitting catchers and catchers period in the minor league,
Dalton Rushing. But certainly an era has come to an end.
And look, I mean, the Dodgers have been winning for
a long time. They've had a lot of really good players,
(21:33):
and some of those players are starting to get long
in the tooth. And everybody was taken by surprise.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
What guy's been gone? Guy's been going for eight seconds.
All of a sudden, he's long the dues thirty five? Conway, almighty,
all right, So Clayton Kershaw will be throwing to who
Dalton Rushing?
Speaker 11 (21:56):
I hope so Rushing is going to join us on
the pregame show coming up?
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Oh good, he got his first hit last night, didn't he?
Speaker 11 (22:04):
He did, and he scored three times. The Rogers scored
nineteen runs, the most fronts they scored all year, and uh,
he was a big part of it. And he I
believe Conway, that Sultan Rushing, the kid they called up
to let go of Austin Barnes, may very well take
Will Smith's job, or when Freddie Freeman retires take over.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
At first say, wow, that's a big deal. I guess
this kid is good, hun.
Speaker 11 (22:30):
So good. And he's a guy that you watch take
batting practice. He's one of those guys who stopped to
watch because he's been hitting home runs halfway up the
bleachers here of the Pavilions at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Does he have a nickgas short in the by the way,
he short in.
Speaker 11 (22:47):
The tooth Conway father time is undefeated Conway, you know.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I get that. Does he have a nickname? Is Tarzan
his nickname? Or is that taken?
Speaker 11 (22:56):
Now? That's Shames Outman? And uh, you know, Petro said
and his father believe in might be the only two
fans of James Outman these days. But nonetheless, Dalton Rushing.
I guess the guys I've heard him call him Rush
Rushes their guy, buddy.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
I love that they that they kept Taoscar Hernandez. He
brings a great enthusiasm to the clubhouse that you need.
And I heard that he also started the Sunflower Shower.
Is that true?
Speaker 11 (23:24):
That's true, that was organic. It started when he was
with the Blue Jayson Toronto and continued when he got
here with the Dodgers. So he's a very inclusive teammate.
He brings a great energy to the Dodgers going back
to last year, and they would not have won the
World Series without him.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Yeah, I believe that. But buddy, look, I know that
you're probably you know, tired of me banging on you
like this, But I think you bring the same sense
of enthusiasm to the clubhouse, and I think you're just
as important as Taoscar.
Speaker 11 (23:55):
I would say no because I did not hit thirty
three home runs and trying in ninety nine runs last
year Conway. But I appreciate it. And I had a
caller call in, maybe a little overserved at the time
of night. It was say that she loves hearing me
on this show and really enjoys Max Monday.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Okay, all right, well maybe Max Monday is that's the
day he gets a hit on Mondays.
Speaker 11 (24:24):
Right, Well, he had a home run last night, so
he's homered in two straight games. Fans are so they
have such a short leash on some of these players.
It's a long season. Yeah, but you got to be
able to let these guys play.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
How long can you be crappy on the Dodgers and
still have a place on the bench. They give you
two months, three months, six months.
Speaker 11 (24:46):
Three months, depending on your resumes you're a new player, yeah,
depending on your resume. If you're a rookie and they're
giving you an opportunity, I would say that the first
three months to prove whether or not you can swim
or think So Andy Pajez is their young outfielder that
did not play very well the first two weeks. But
(25:07):
here he is now seven home runs, hitting two ninety one,
which is very good, and he's going to stick now.
But if you would have listened to Dodger talk the
first two weeks of the year, they wanted to send
this guy to you know, to KFI to your intern.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Right, all right, well, he would have fit right in
with us. What the hell? So the Dodger pitching staff
again this year plagued by injuries.
Speaker 11 (25:32):
Yes, but misleading when you see like people tweet out
there's twelve injured pitchers on the injured list. Cweyton Kershaw
currently is one of those guys. But a lot of
their relief pitchers were pushed to the extreme to win
the World Series last year, and some of them still
have residual effects of that. But you know, they're disappointed
that their big off season sign of Blake Snell hasn't
(25:54):
worked out yet. He's only made two starts and he
should be back in the month of July. And the Dodgers,
as you know, Tim, care about October. They have enough
talent where October meets the most.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Right I enjoy watching this team. I will say this though,
when it gets into the late innings and the Dodgers
are head sixteen to two and they bring in a
shortstop to pitch, I don't think that those numbers should
count in somebody's overall resume.
Speaker 11 (26:24):
We're joined right now by the current angel and all
time saved leader. You're on KFI six forty live Kenley Dancing.
Say hello, Wow, Kelly Chansen.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
That guy's great. I love that dude.
Speaker 11 (26:38):
Yeah, yeah, we're doing good here, we're doing good.
Speaker 8 (26:40):
We're doing very.
Speaker 11 (26:42):
He's got a great haircut, Conway, you would love it.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yeah, sure, I really miss him. I always thought that
the Dodgers should have kept him under contract and he
should still be on the Dodgers.
Speaker 11 (26:54):
Hey, how about that kenty? Hey there he goes. How
about that he walked away after you said.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
That, Hey, I'm not in the minority. I think a
lot of people thought the same thing.
Speaker 11 (27:09):
He went over to say how to super agent Scott
Boris Right now, I.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Love how loose everybody is out there. We just can't
get people coming up and talked and talking to you.
That's great.
Speaker 11 (27:19):
I mean I had three players dab me up while
we were talking. So when Canley comes and gives me
a bear hug, Conway, you got to put the all
time saves leader on the phone.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
He's a big guy, that dude.
Speaker 11 (27:31):
Huge guy, big heart too. He is dealing with the
loss of his mother who passed away during spring training,
and he's still he's a big teddy bear before he
gets on that mount. So he's a guy that's got
a big heart. And if he goes, he's going to
the Hall of Fame one day. Oh yeah, he'll be
wearing a Dodger cap one day, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Hey, what happened to my favorite player?
Speaker 11 (27:52):
Edmund Tommy Edmonds hurt? He was running the bases today.
He'll be back next week, Tim Conway? True, yes, MVP?
Speaker 1 (28:01):
All right, And one last thing before we go. When
it's sixteen to two, Dodgers are winning and they bring
in a shortstop to pitch because they don't want to
burn out one of their guys in the bullpen, I
don't think those numbers should count in somebody's overall stats.
Speaker 11 (28:17):
Well, did you see last night Otani came up against
the destruction player struck out. He was upset too.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
So there was a high heatory through to him.
Speaker 11 (28:26):
Hey, it's nine innings between the lines. It all counts.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Conway, Buddy, I love when you come on. Go Dodgers tonight, Angels,
Dodgers tomorrow and Sunday. Right, that's right.
Speaker 11 (28:40):
Clayton Kershaw making his season debut tomorrow night here at
Dodgers Stadium, so looking forward to a big weekend.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
That's a that's a big deal. And real quickly, before
you go, where will this Barnes end up? Will he
end up on another team?
Speaker 11 (28:53):
Yeah? I actually think the Angels have some interest in
him as well. Another team is values his veteran experience,
so he'll land on his feet.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Okay, I like that, dude, Buddy, I really appreciate you
coming on.
Speaker 11 (29:04):
Man, thank you. He's from Riverside, so big listenership for
you and River.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Oh yeah, we're the number one talk show and Neil
an Empire. I don't if you know.
Speaker 11 (29:12):
That huge His uncle Harry loves you.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Yeah, that's great, all right, enjoy the Angels and Dodgers tonight.
Speaker 11 (29:18):
Bub thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
You are there. And wait, real quickly, what's the secretary?
Traveling Secretary's named Tom?
Speaker 12 (29:25):
What?
Speaker 9 (29:27):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Juicy? Tom? Juicy? Okay, thank you write that down all right,
I don't know. I'm KFI. I'll text them.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
All right, ding dong with everybody. That was nice to
have David Vassay on from your Los Angeles Dodgers. They
take on the Angels tonight at Dodgers Stadium tonight, tomorrow
and Sunday.
Speaker 11 (29:58):
All right.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
A lot of people have back pain. I know I
have it, belly O has been complaining about it for
years and years. Did you have surgery, Belly?
Speaker 9 (30:05):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
How'd that go?
Speaker 8 (30:07):
Great?
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah? Yeah, we relieved that pain. Huh.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Yes, I had a disc replacement, so.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
I might go down that route.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Really, which one's bothering you?
Speaker 1 (30:20):
The one and the only one I have my back?
Speaker 6 (30:23):
Well, like mine was the L five S one. Oh,
I'm not that any So where is it your upper back?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Well?
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Could you give me a region?
Speaker 6 (30:32):
Nah?
Speaker 1 (30:32):
I mean it's I think it's all muscle. I don't
think it has to do it. It's not skeletal.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
So, oh, you're a doctor, you know that.
Speaker 11 (30:42):
Well.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
I've been to enough doctors who've told me that. I
don't know how you can diagnose me sitting in the
other room looking through the wall. But they did a
pretty good job. God Mighty maker of evident all right,
back pain relief. You can get some relief from that
back pain, everybody, so you don't have to live with
this this crap and you can go and relaxed her hand.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
So I'm gonna go ahead and place these fell us
underneath your knees.
Speaker 13 (31:03):
A cute back pain made twenty four year old Angus
Long feel much older than he was.
Speaker 12 (31:07):
Sometimes at night, I'm just sound asleep and then I
just wake up to like my own lower back attacking me,
and I was just getting really tired of it because
it hurt.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
I'm with them, man, I wake up sometimes just on fire.
Speaker 13 (31:19):
Weightlifting and extreme sports led to a bulging disk that
was pressing on Angus's nerves, resulting in radiating pain.
Speaker 12 (31:26):
He's showing these X rays compared to like a normal spine,
and I was like, wow, I didn't really realize on
my disc were out of place like this.
Speaker 14 (31:34):
The disc is like a tire, okay, So if you're
speeding all the time, you're ripping around corners, that's going
to wear out faster.
Speaker 13 (31:43):
When pain management, physical rehab, and steroid injections stop working,
many patients turn to surgery, but doctor Jerro Mala says
many of his patients avoid surgery with spinal decompression therapy.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
All right, here, listen to this. If you have back pain,
listen how you can solve it.
Speaker 13 (31:59):
Here with decom depression, final decompression therapy, spinal decompression therapy,
spinal decompression therapy. It's a modern twist on traction. Patients
are strapped to a table that stretches their spine, but
the software custom calculates the pressure and the pattern for
releasing tension.
Speaker 14 (32:16):
With spinal decompression therapy, that traction or that polling force
is actually modulated, so it pulls a certain amount and
then relaxies. What we're trying to do is we're trying
to mimic the motion that that disc needs to hydrate itself,
so it's pumping the disk in essence.
Speaker 13 (32:33):
While many orthopedic surgeons regard conventional traction as a temporary
form of pain relief, Malade says for some of his patients,
results have been long lasting and it's a non invasive
way to heal naturally.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Did you try that bellios before surgery? That decompression.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
No, because I had fractures in my vertebrate.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Hod you do that? Were you an accent skiing?
Speaker 4 (32:55):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (32:56):
It could have been a bunch of things on. I
honestly don't know what specifically caused it. I mean, you
had a broken back, I did. That's crazy. What's really
crazy about it is I went to the knee doctor
because my knees were bothering me. Ah, And they did
an X ray and I said, could you just take
an extray in my lower back? And he comes in
and he goes, I'm going to send you across the
hall the spinal doctor.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Wow. Yeah, they knew it was a spinal problem.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Yeah, he could tell it was fractured. Wow.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Man, how long it had been broken? Do you think?
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Probably about a year.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
But it wasn't until I started getting numbness in my
feet that it really bothered me.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah. I get numbness in my feet too. But did
you have There's nothing there's no accident you were in
or you didn't fall or twist it in a weird way.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
I was in gymnastics when I was younger, which they said,
because that's like the hinge of your body, the l
one and sometimes you might have like done a hairline fracture,
and then things throughout the years. Yeah, I've had little
falls and worked hard and carried things I shouldn't have
been carrying.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Were you what did you specialize?
Speaker 11 (34:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Were you good at gymnastics?
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:02):
I was really like.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
A vault all of it. You gotta do it all?
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Do you do floor?
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I did floor? I did it all?
Speaker 1 (34:10):
And even parallel bars? Yeah? Did you do the little
ribbon thing?
Speaker 4 (34:14):
Never did the ribbon the beam? Did the beam?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Could you do a flip on the beam?
Speaker 6 (34:18):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:19):
The rings? The rings that guys chicks the.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Rings uneven bars.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
No, I don't think the chicks do the rings.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
The women do not do the rings.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Later on in life they do the rings.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
I know that's that supposed to. What are you getting
at with that one?
Speaker 8 (34:36):
Whatever?
Speaker 1 (34:37):
But were you? Were you like Olympic material? No?
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Would I be here with you if I was well?
Speaker 3 (34:43):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:43):
But if you had a back, you know your back broke.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
No, I wasn't at that level. No.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
No, Were you the best one in school?
Speaker 11 (34:50):
No?
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Not at all?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Well, then where were you?
Speaker 4 (34:54):
That's rude.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
I mean you said you were great, but you don't.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
Think I ever said I was great. I said, I
did it. I didn't say it was great.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
We said were you really good?
Speaker 4 (35:03):
And you're like, yeah, no, I don't think I said
I was really good.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I thank you, said I did it. Are you the
Nadia Kumanie of Denver?
Speaker 4 (35:14):
No, not even close.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Just the Caravanet of radio.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
