Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's k IF.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
I am sixty and you're listening to the Conway Show
on demand on the iHeartRadio app Conway Show ding Dog.
All right, we're keeping an eye on this house in
Beverly Grove. There's one person found dead, another person was injured,

(00:21):
another guy with a rifle was handled by the cops.
And now I have the investigation start, and it starts,
and it looks like it might have been a family disagreement.
Those family disagreements, can some guy sometimes get sideways on
you and people. Doug Steckle used to say this, the
most dangerous people in the world are people with nothing

(00:45):
to lose. And if you have somebody in your family
who has nothing to lose, keep an eye on him,
keep an eye on death. Well, let's talk about buying
a car. I love CarMax. We bought my daughter car
at CarMax. I have purchased a car for myself in
the past. At CarMax. I love the no hassle. You

(01:07):
can look around there lot and check out all their
cars and nobody ever comes up to you. I've been
going to CarMax for at least ten years, and I
go to the one in Burbank. I go to the
one out in Chatsworth. I go to the one in
near out near Krozier, El Monte area. Now, where's the one. Oh,
it's the one eight. Got almighty with these freeways, the two,

(01:31):
ten and the six so five, Yes, is that El
Monty area? No Erwin Dale? Okay, yeah, Urwindell area. And
so I go to that CarMax as well. I go
to the one up in Oregon when we're up there.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
I love CarMax.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, there's one in Ontario there on the ten right
before you get to the airport.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, this's a big one. Yeah yeah. And I just
love walking around.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
So I've been walking around looking at cars at Carmacks
for ten years.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Sometimes I don't even need a car. I just like
to look.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And I never once have been approached by a guy saying, hey,
can we get you into something?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Never once, not one. Oh at CarMax. Hey yeah, at.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
CarMax, you can walk around and look at everything for
an hour, two hours, and nobody bothers you. It's the
greatest business in the world. They should be sponsored here,
steph hush, put that together. Car Max is going to
sponsor the show you got. They're in the news here,
so you might be going to pick a Oh my sister,
My sister has bought in the last two or three
cars from CarMax. And they're not an advertiser on the

(02:30):
stay on this show. We're not plugging away. I'm just
telling you they got it going on.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Winter months can be a great time to buy a
used car. Deals are easier to find than another months,
and shoppers love to use any income tax refund as
a down payment.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Oh good idea, good idea, and everything's coming together this
weekend to get yourself a used car.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Carfax is used car Index tracks vehicle prices across seven
different categories, including SUVs, cars, pickup trucks, hybrids, and evs.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Okay, this is a carfax and is also another great
company as well. It used to be what was the one?
Was that the one with the Fox Carfax? Or yes,
was car was the Carfax? Yeah, that's a great one too.
They started out initially where they were literally you would
you'd have to pay to find out, you know, if

(03:18):
that car has there been an accident or I had
water damage or whatever. And the five six seven bucks
worth its weight in gold if you could find out
that that car had been salvaged or something wrong with
that car. And that's that's a great tool as well.
Great great tool call Carfax CarMax. I love it everything
about used cars I enjoy.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Along with vans, minivans, luxury SUVs, and luxury cars. It's
editor in chief Patrick Olsen says all of these vehicle
types saw price drops in January. Some even hit all
time low since the pandemic.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
You hear that with the used car, maybe you're gonna
buy one this weekend.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Some even hit all time low since the pandemic.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
All time lows since the pandemic, perfect time to buy.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Typically, car prices start to go up from here as
demand raises.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Plenty of buyers right now trying to decide whether or
not to go with a used car or a new car.
It may be easier to secure a loan for a
new car than it is for a used one. Used
cars can be a good fit, however, if you're on
a budget and they generally cost less to ensure, but
interest rates for used car loans are often higher than
for new car loans. If you're planning to trade in

(04:25):
your current car toward a purchase, find out what it's
worth with the free Carfax history based value tool.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Carfax does it differently. We don't just look at your year,
meg model, and mileage. We look to see, you know,
has your car been well maintained over the years. Have
you had any accidents? That's the big one. Have you
had any accident I've.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Blown it into a CVS or something.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Things like that that really play a much more rich
role in determining the true value of your car.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Carfax estimates the deadly California wildfires damaged about sixty three
hundred vehicles. The urgent need to replace thousands of those
destroyed cars, Olsen says, will likely lead to an unexpected
increase in prices for new and used vehicles on the
West Coast.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Oh no, you got to get in before that increase.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
There are fewer cars to choose from.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
And because of that, it means prices are going to
be higher right now in southern California than they are
in the rest of the country. More shoppers fighting for
fewer vehicles, and until that evens out, it's going to
be an issue.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, but you can also with car max you can
look around the entire nation. You can look in Iowa, Nebraska,
you know, Cleveland at a car and then they'll ship
it out here for you.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, and that's that's again.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
How like with with the pandemic and the supply chain
being so bad, and remember how they were, there were
fewer new cars, so that so the availability and consequently
the price of the used cars just went up so high.
And with the thread of the tariffs, if they do
go back into effect in April, that could affect things
as well.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And you remember the initial couple of months right when
the pandemic hit her and Dollar and budget, they all
got rid of their their rental cars and so they
flooded the market and the prices went in the toilet.
Nobody was renting, Yeah, yeah, nobody rented a car, remember
at Dodger Stadium. And I think it was so fie

(06:15):
that some of these stadiums, the parking lots were filled
with rental cars because they had no place to put
them all. Nobody's renting a car, nobody's flying, nobody's flying anywhere,
nobody's runting a car. It was crazy, crazy times, man,
crazy crazy times. But it's it's always fun to go
look at at used cars. And if you can do
it without somebody, you know, glomming on to you and

(06:36):
and asking you, hey, you, what's your budget? What can
we get you in today? You know, it's always nice
to just walk around by yourself, and you can do
that at car Max. I not if you can do
it other lots, but I know that they're they're terrific.

Speaker 7 (06:48):
You're listening to Tim conwaytun you're on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Maybe you going to the sport Fishing Show, the sport
Fishing Show, sport Fishing Festival dot com. That's down in
coast to Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds. So it's
gonna today, Tomorrow and Sunday. So slide on down there

(07:15):
and enjoy yourself. You'll have a great time over two
hundred and fifty thousand square feet two hundred and fifty
thousand square feet of boats, tackle rods, the whole thing,
the twenty twenty five Pacific Coast Sport Fishing, tackle Boat,
Travel and Outdoor Show. So slide on down there today.

(07:38):
I don't know, it might be an hour left or so.
It might be tight today, but tomorrow starting at ten am,
and then ten am on Sunday as well. Gotta get
down there Orange County Fair and Event Center, eighty eight
Fair Drive and coast to Mesa. That's where the Orange
County Fair is'p you'll see it so on Saturday ten

(07:59):
am seven pm on Sunday day after tomorrow ten am
to five pm. So buzz I'm down there. Another reason
why you should buy a used car at a legitimate
lot so you don't get hosed like this guy did.
This guy got completely screwed.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Polls and Corona say they apprehended two men involved in
an elaborate vehicle fraud scam. Author already say the victim
found a vehicle on Craigslist and contacted the seller. After
reviewing what appeared to be legitimate DMV paperwork, the victim
paid twenty three thousand dollars for the vehicle.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Okay, so everything's on the up and up so far.
He found a vehicle online on Craigslist, he negotiated the
price twenty three thousand bucks. Car was him paperwork look legitimate.
Everybody's fine. Guy gets the check, guy gets the cash,
the other guy gets the car. Everybody's happy, right.

Speaker 8 (08:56):
Rong, And then later realized the registration documents were fake.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Oh no, oh no, you're not gonna believe this.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
Two men with ties to southern California have been arrested.
Authority say they rented the vehicle on the Turro APP
and then forged the title.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
It was a rental. They got twenty three thousand dollars.
They rented a car for one hundred bucks, two hundred bucks,
whatever it was, and then sold it to a guy
for twenty three thousand dollars.

Speaker 8 (09:25):
They rented the vehicle on the Turro APP and then
forged the title.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Reminds me of a caller when I was working in
a KSLX or a KXLS. As our receptionist would say.
A guy had a cameray I think it was a
nineteen ninety nine Toyota camera, and he uh, the tires
were bald. They were literally they looked like inner tubes.
So he went out and rented a camera for thirty

(09:53):
three dollars, took it home and changed out the tires,
took the tires from the rented car, put it on
his car, and then put his tires on the rented car.
So for thirty three dollars, he got about twelve hundred
dollars worth of tires. I don't recommend doing that because
that's fraud. You can go to prison for it. But

(10:13):
he didn't get musted, did he?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
He did not? Yeah, somewhat ingenious, you know, Yes, sure
I had a plan that was working out.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
How much? How many times that actually happens?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I wonder how impossible it is to find out that
somebody's done that.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Right as somebody who rents it next go, hey, your
tires are ball, that's right.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Company goes uh.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
But I mean look when I when I return a car,
they give it just one glance. You know, they don't
looked in to see what you know, they tread life
on a tire. They just give it a you know, hey,
is it the car that we think it is when
it left here?

Speaker 1 (10:48):
How are the tires bawled? It's only got like five
thousand miles on it?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, theg Donu guy, I was involved in a lot
of donuts over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Street takeover.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah right, yeah, street takeover And that was wild. It
was a wild weekend. But you gotta be careful in
buying a used car that you don't get worked.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
That's what happened to that dude.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
All right, here's some sad news, but we got to
give you all of it, So just be aware that
there is still interesting ways to leave this planet, and
here's one of them.

Speaker 9 (11:24):
This morning, the South Carolina Supreme Court has cleared the
way for the first execution by firing squad in the
US in nearly fifteen years.

Speaker 10 (11:32):
So this is a huge development.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
In especially for the guy at the end of these guns. Huge.

Speaker 10 (11:39):
So this is a huge development, Yeah, for him the
world of execution methods.

Speaker 9 (11:45):
Brad Sigmand was sentenced to death for killing his ex
girlfriend's parents. His latest appeal denied, setting the stage for
tomorrow's execution, and he's chosen to die by firing squad
instead of the electric chair or the more common practice
lethal injection.

Speaker 10 (12:00):
And in recent years there has been a reevaluation of
the firing squad is a possible method of execution, primarily
because lethal injection has only gotten worse over the decades.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Yeah, lethal injection is tough, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Sometimes it takes a half hour forty five minutes for
the guy to leave the planet. But with the firing squad,
I imagine that's pretty quick.

Speaker 9 (12:22):
Some states began allowing firing squads as an option because
of a shortage of lethal injection drugs, but another major
concern has been the dozens of lethal injections that have
been botched.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Who pays for the ammunition? Is that something your family's
got to pick up or does the state cover that?
I don't know, somebody's got to pay for it.

Speaker 9 (12:38):
Some blamed on execution teams lacking the medical expertise to
administer them.

Speaker 10 (12:43):
I think fire and squad is the least in humane method.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Wow, man, she's my kind of goal. How about that?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
In twenty twenty five, a woman in the United States
said this, I think.

Speaker 10 (12:55):
Fire and squad is the least in humane method.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Who oh man, that's a That is one hell of
a woman to admit that in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 10 (13:05):
I think fireing squad is the least inhumane method. Wow,
So I can understand an inmate selecting it.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Sure, that makes sense to me.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
I wonder if there's a brochure you know you got here.
There's three different ways you can go. You've got on
page one, you've got the lethal injection, page two the
electric chair, or page three you may want to go
firing squad. Why don't you think it over and let
us know your deadline is next Thursday to us. Yeah,
So here's the brochure and let us know how you

(13:37):
want your.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
Exit roscons miss you know, minuses, write some pictures, pictures.

Speaker 9 (13:43):
Since nineteen seventy seven, only three executions by firing squad
have been carried out in the US. A hood is
placed over the prisoner's head and multiple corrections officers fire
rifles from fifteen feet away.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Oh man, oh man, what a day for that guy.

Speaker 9 (13:58):
Only these five states currently the procedure, with Idaho just
yesterday moving one step closer to making it the primary
execution method.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
All right, you know what they do in Russia. I've
heard this on several occasions. In Russia, when you are
convicted of murder and your punishment is the death penalty,
they don't tell you when your day is here. Oh,
they knock on your on your cell door, they open

(14:26):
it up, and they take you to the chamber and
they put you to death.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
And that's how it should be.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, but until you bring your playbook, how about this,
Like there might be six months leading up to it,
and every time you hear a.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Oh yeah, oh god, this is that sound great?

Speaker 3 (14:40):
It's just that breakfast. Oh god, no mindy, I thought
it was it. I thought it was I thought it
was going down.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
No, it's just a bagel and some cream cheese. Please
don't knock like that against and then another oh no,
what is what is it?

Speaker 3 (14:54):
You got some mail? Oh god, I thought it was it.
I thought I was done.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I thought it was over. Tonight, jay Leno is gonna
be at Flappers. Speaking of comedy, he's gonna be at Flappers.
I think seven thirty to night, seven thirty tomorrow as well.
Check your times. I didn't, but you should if you're going.
But jay Leno probably on his way, but I bet
he's there by now.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Jay Leno is the.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Kind of guy that probably gets there an hour before,
feels out the room, you know, and it gets.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
All uh ready to roll radio. Tell those jokes.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Tonight jay Leno in Burbank, in Burbank with his big program,
and he always has a couple of funny guys opening
for him. And then if you don't see him, if
you miss it tonight, you can go tomorrow and watch
Jay Leno Flappers in Burbank.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
It's a cool deal.

Speaker 7 (15:42):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty Don.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Wy Show on kf I AM six forty that song
always reminds me of the Tom like a show Tom,
I guess, and this would have been Flash Friday Crows.
You probably fan of Flash Friday, right, sure? Tough to
pitch that nowadays I have eyes. Yeah, tough to pitch. Then, Hey, Brian,
I got a great idea. Oh it's great, Tim, What

(16:10):
is it? You ready for it? You first Flash Friday?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Do you remember that stuff?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
I do?

Speaker 11 (16:19):
Okay, I can't imagine how many women actually did that,
but yeah, that can either.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
But I guess it lasted for a long time, so
maybe I can. It did. I'm sure some did.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
For people that don't know what it is, I'll try
to explain it without getting thrown off the air. Every Friday,
Tomkas would ask his listeners to turn their headlights on,
and if a woman saw a guy driving around with
his headlights on beat beat, she would flash him. But nowadays,

(16:54):
you know, cars have their headlights on all the time. Anyway,
I was gonna say, you can't that. Now that doesn't
even matter anymore. Yeah, women to be worn out, like, wow,
is that that old eighty five year old woman that
has her.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Headlights on them? Ooh okay, here we go, Here you go?
What the hell? Different times, Different times? All right.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
There's a story that the La Times is working on here,
and I'll just read the beginning of it and it
goes deeper into it. But when the flames erupted in
Pacific Palisades on January seventh, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass
was more than seven thousand miles away on a diplomatic
mission Africa. I think we all know that Bass headed

(17:35):
home shortly after that and was in transit for nearly
twenty four hours as the fire ravaged Palisades and surrounded communities.
She and her office said she was in constant communication
during that period, but it's impossible to know exactly what
she was communicating because her messages were not saved. According

(17:58):
to a city lawyer and my experience, when you start
deleting messages, text messages, it's because you don't want anyone
to see them. It's very simple. Something happened, something went down.
So I'm sure that's gonna be a big story on Monday,

(18:19):
and I'm sure that she'll be asked about it as well.
You know, why are you deleting your messages? You're a
public figure, You're the mayor of Los Angeles. Why would
you be deleting messages on your cell phone? Well, I
guess somebody will ask her. Maybe Alex Michaelson. He's pretty
good at them, all right. Angel City Football kicks off.

(18:43):
Angel City FC Football Club kicks off their twenty twenty
five season Sunday, March sixteenth, at home against rival San
Diego Wave. Every fan of attendants will receive a souvenir
flag and a schedule magnet. Get your tickets before they
sell out angelcity dot com and stream all the games

(19:06):
an HD on the iHeartRadio app keyword or words angel
City FC. And that kicks off a week from Sunday,
So go check that out. I think you'll you'll enjoy
that and the soccer I think dolong with them.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
All right. We have a couple more.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
News stories that we didn't get to this week because
it was so crowded. Shake Shack is a big fan Steph's.
We turned to you with who the the good restaurants?

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Sorry? Are you a shake Shack fan? I do?

Speaker 11 (19:39):
Actually I like their fries more than in and out
for sure.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Fries are good.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, there's seasoned, yeah, crankled friesan fries, you're not a
fan of c I love my two go to's with
fries or McDonald's and in and out.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Those are my top two. I enjoy them all right.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Fast food value meal coming to shake Shack.

Speaker 12 (20:06):
Amid rising prices for food, some chains hungry for more
customers are eyeing value meals as their biggest selling point.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
That's a big deal, and this.

Speaker 12 (20:16):
Morning, a new challenger is looking to take a bite
out of the competition.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Hit Shack worth it Shake Shack.

Speaker 12 (20:23):
Announcing it's first ever combo meal at restaurants nationwide. The
limited time offer includes a chicken sandwich, fries and a
small soda for nine ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
That's a good deal. Maybe you're you know you're half
assing it. I'll repeat it for you.

Speaker 12 (20:37):
The limited time offer includes a chicken sandwich, fries and
a small soda for nine ninety nine.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Sweet deal, Sweet deal. I'll fill up. See yeah, it
is old school. I like that. Very plain Jane great classic,
old school.

Speaker 12 (20:51):
The company CEO telling NBC News, we understand the challenges
our guests are facing right now, and that's exactly why
we've created a deal that everyone can feel good about.
The Popularity of value meals jumping last spring with chains
like McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's launching their own cheap eats.

Speaker 13 (21:10):
And customers are telling us that they're really stretched.

Speaker 12 (21:13):
While inflation has eased a bit, restaurant prices are up
nearly three and a half percent over last year, coupled
with concerns over import tariffs and sky high egg costs.
I just spent seventy dollars at Chipotle for four people.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
That's in sick, get off light.

Speaker 12 (21:31):
Business owners are once again taking note, Chipotle, telling NBC
News it intends to hold prices constant for now.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
We don't think it's fair to come.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
You know, I will say, I don't know how people
are surviving. I went to Canes No No Chick fil
A last week with my daughter. I had a five
piece chicken nuggets, fries, small coke, shade a sandwich, fries,
small drink, twenty six dollars. I couldn't believe that. You know,

(22:01):
when I was growing up, twenty six dollars was a
steak dinner. Steak dinner, Yeah, easy Donalds. That would buy
you the whole menu. You can buy the store by
the franchise.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
We talked about, you know, how Americans are robs compared
to like Europe, and there are portion sizes where everything
are so huge compared to anywhere else. To me, it's
like you could keep the same price as it was,
keep it down and just lower the portion size as
to what are normal, and then you're not paying more,
but you're actually getting healthy.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
At the same time, you're lucky you don't get shot
when you say lower portion, more portions.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
In America, we're a greedy nation.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
We are slobby, slobby, eat as much as possible to
we feel sick nation. It's like I would pay less,
I would pay the same for a smaller portion than
I would more for the same of what we always get.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
I went to I haven't been overseas much, but I
went to France.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
A buddy of mine was living in France, and I.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Got a cheap ticket on a flight because well, the
United States was at war with Iraq and no one
was flying, so my alledge. I got a twa flight
from lax to Paris, and then I drove down to
visit buddy. Mine was living in Nice, and I said,
I said, hey, let's go to a buffet. And we
couldn't find a buffet anywhere in France.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Yeah, is there one at all in the country.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
I don't know. So I asked the guy. This is
back in nineteen ninety one. I said, hey, you guys
have buffets. He gets a these. What these the buffet?

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Oh, come on the t silent. It's got to be French, right, buffet?

Speaker 3 (23:37):
What is the buffet?

Speaker 2 (23:38):
And I said, you know, it's like you put all
the food out. We just come up and eat as
much as you want. And the guy said, we don't.
We don't do that.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
We don't do well. You can eat.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, that's why you're so fat.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Fats you're so fat, fatso not that fat. You got
to see the rest of my You know the countrymen,
do you own no meters?

Speaker 3 (23:59):
We are a.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Big fat country. We just love it, man, and we
live less and we enjoy it and we you know,
and we just later on. I think everybody does what
they want until they get the one real message, A
little scared the one bang?

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Oh what was that?

Speaker 2 (24:16):
That was a massive stroke, right, And then you apologize
to your family. Oh, sorry, man, I should have stopped smokers,
should a drags and this, I should have done that,
I should have worked down And then and then you
and then you go right back to the buffet once
you get out of the hospital. As Meanwhile, Taco Bell

(24:37):
just released like eight new items.

Speaker 11 (24:39):
Oh they did, Yeah, what are the new items? They
had their like comic Con thing a couple of days ago.

Speaker 3 (24:44):

Speaker 11 (24:44):
So they got a new I cannot wait. They have
a brand new Baja Blast. Oh is that right?

Speaker 3 (24:51):
And they said it's like.

Speaker 11 (24:51):
A guava orange like type of flavor, and you know,
so that that's coming out. And then there also getting
the Mexican pizza. I love that in making it like
a toastata. Oh no, is that right?

Speaker 1 (25:07):
I'm like, oh, I'm so regular Mexican pizza.

Speaker 11 (25:14):
I mean, sorry, not what is it burrito? Maybe it
is maybe burrito. I might have gotten that wrong. But yeah,
they're wrapping that Taco Bell.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Yeah. Yeah, I enjoy Taco Bell.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
I like the you know, every place you go, uh
and they give you a portion cup of cheese, it's
always a crapshoot whether it's gonna be hot. At Taco Bell,
it's always three hundred degrees.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
It's so hot.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Sometimes the little cup that they give it to you
is like melting. Yeah, the top melt. And that's the
way I like it though. I like it red pipe
and hot yep. I'll deal with the birds. And they're
bringing back the chicken nuggets. That's the only time you
see you see stuff. It's really at it on top

(25:59):
of it.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Game man, he's talking about these fast foods.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
He's like me though, Man, I love that stuff ring
and it's going to be the end of me. But
I could careless. I enjoy the taste. I enjoy the texture.
I enjoy the you know, paying for it, walking out
with you. I love sticking my hand in that bag
and feeling what comes out next.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Is it fries? Is it a burger? Is it a taco?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
It's so great and Taco Del Taco is sensational. Man,
I love that Del Taco. I could sit in the
parking lot knock off two tacos. Fries every day are
like a go to for me. Yeah, my, my, uh,
and we're gonna take a breakre My sister said. The
donuts at at Del Taco donut holes. Have you tried
that stuff? Oh, that's right, you did say that. Yeah,

(26:45):
I haven't tried it yet. But they make them cook
to orders, so they're unbelievably fresh. Also, ten out of
ten with the new Wendy's thin mint frosty.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Oh yeah, that's right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 11 (26:56):
I didn't know that the one that actually that uh
At Garg's brought was a mint frosty. I thought I
was waiting for it to be green.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
It's not.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
It's it's it's the chocolate, the chocolate one. I brought
ten of them home from our refrigerator here. I brought
him home, put him in my freezer.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Gone, yeah, it's the it's the collaboration with girls Scouts
because of the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
My wife wiped them out so good. She ate like
ten of them in a week, love them. And my
daughter's like, wow, Dad shaked like ten of those.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
She's a marriage. She's thirsty.

Speaker 7 (27:29):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
All right, here's a bad cruise.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
A woman went on a nineteen eighties music cruise and
didn't make it.

Speaker 13 (27:44):
It's a shocking tragedy. On board in nineteen eighties beamed crews.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
This fifty sounds fun right, nineteen eighties music sounds like
a good time.

Speaker 13 (27:52):
This fifty six year old passenger Kimberly Birch left or
fell off her eighth floor balcony around eleven PM, reportedly
for an argument with her fiance Tamy Down, the lead
singer of the nineteen eighties band Faster pussy Cat. The
sold out cruise included the iconic eighties band Men at Work.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Okay, Men at Work, Man, they were a great band.
I like that Man at Work.

Speaker 13 (28:13):
Also on board the singer Christopher Cross.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Ah, he is great too. I'd love this cruise.

Speaker 13 (28:19):
Hop star Tiffany Wow.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
What a cruise man, Oh man, I would have loved
to bet on this thing.

Speaker 13 (28:26):
Also stars from the early days of MTV, including Mark Goodman, Downtown,
Julie Brown, and Alan Hunter. The Royal Caribbean ship Explorer
of the Seas was twenty miles from the Bahamas when
the woman overboard alarm.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Sounded, Oh no.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Everybody gets that alarm, like when we get a you know,
an earthquake alarm here or by amber alert. Everybody on
the ship has to stop what they're doing and look overboard.

Speaker 13 (28:53):
When the woman overboard alarm sounded.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Oh no, man, it bums everybody out on the ship.
You having a good time, you may have met somebody
having a couple of drinks. And then woman overboard, Woman overboard, You're.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Like, oh man, what a bummer to bathelus and the
pop of bold and just toss.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
The captains, oh man, that's it really takes the wind
out of your sales, so to speak. But that's really
it really changes the mood of the entire cruise. Woman down, woman.

Speaker 7 (29:28):
Down to bathe plus and pop of bold and just
toss the ground.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
And that takes a long time from one of these
ships to turn around. Miles could be four, five, six miles.

Speaker 13 (29:41):
This ship turned around and a search was launched, but
no signs of life were found. The band Faster Pussycat
performed on the ship just hours before Kimberly Birch went missing.
This is the last photo taken of the couple. Share
Ross went on many cruises with Kimberly. What do you
think happened here?

Speaker 14 (30:00):
I guess I'd like to believe that she was wearing
tunky shoes and slipped on a wet deck and went
flying or something after one too many beverages mad.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
It seems odd, that seems strange.

Speaker 14 (30:14):
I literally just can't believe this is true.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
You know what, if you've ever been on a cruise
at night, it's super dark out, and when you are
looking down at the water, you always think what happens
if I fall over? How would I survive if I
just fell overboard and nobody knew. And all of a

(30:37):
sudden you see that ship going north or leaving where
you are, and it goes over the horizon and it's
just you against the ocean and you're floating out there
twenty miles. Maybe you're still conscious. I don't know, but
I don't know what you do. You start swimming, You

(30:58):
just try to keep a float.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
It must be the worst feeling in the world. And
then the ship slowly disappears over the horizon. It's just you.
You can't see anything, the dark ocean and the dark sky.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Oh, I can't believe it.

Speaker 13 (31:16):
The cruise is billed as an immersive eighties experience, showing
classic movies like Sixteen Candles and Fairest Fuelers Day Off.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
I gotta get on one of these cruises. I'd love
this thing.

Speaker 13 (31:26):
Seven Day Cruise is continuing. It ends this Friday in Miami.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
I gotta get involved with them, all right.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
