Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's k I AM sixty and you're listening to The
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio apps at sixty.
It is The Conway Show. All right, it's Friday. We've
had a rough week. The weather was hot, there's no
water in the valley, in the North Valley, and we
(00:21):
have the fire still burning, the Canyon fire. So it's
been a long week. But let me just take some
time to tell you what happened on this program yesterday.
And this might take a little bit of time to
explain to everybody what happened here at the station. Maybe
you've read about it, but our own Steph Fush he
(00:41):
has been our board op and our producer for I
don't know three years, four years maybe going on four years,
and he didn't show up yesterday to work. He also
didn't call or text anybody, and he runs the board
and so without him, this is what the show sound like.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Some may say that's not bad for three hours.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
So he didn't show up, and we were worried to death, worried,
sick about where he was or what he was doing,
and what happened to him.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Tried calling everybody. Colin went right to voicemail. Eric stayed late.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
The producer bought up for the John Colevelt show, and
that was very cool of him. And Bellio was on
the phone and I said, Bellio, I said, I want
to talk about it and maybe asked the audience if
they've seen him, and she said no, no, no, you can't
do that. You know what if his mom is listening
or his dad is listening, and they would panic and
please don't do that. I said, Okay, so he's face yeah, yeah, Sharon,
(01:42):
save this. So we had three hours of you know,
trying to do the show and not letting on that
all of us were worried to death about this guy.
And that's very difficult to do. I was exhausted yesterday
because during the commercial breaks, you know, we're calling him, constantly,
calling him, trying to get a hold of We didn't
have his address, we didn't have a phone number other
(02:02):
than his.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, his emergency conduct number was his that's right.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
He put down his mom as his emergency contact and
then put his phone number in it. So not a
lot of history with the with the reason why we
have emergency cards and emergency contacts. So we waited and
we waited, and we didn't hear from him. Robin came
in yesterday around four thirty or five to relieve Eric,
(02:27):
and I knew something was wrong. I knew something was wrong.
This guy missed hot dog Day. Yeah, hot dog Day, right,
the last time we had Hot Dog Day, he had
eleven eleven hot dogs. It wasn't challenge, it wasn't it
wasn't it wasn't a contest.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
He just casually ate eleven hot dogs. Guy loves the dogs.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
And so we were worried, sick about this guy. So
the program ends at seven o'clock. I go home, hang
with my daughter for a little bit, and then I
got to go find this guy. So I get in
the car. I know about where he lives in Hawthorne,
and there's we had. We have two addresses on him,
and I called Bellio on the way down. I said, Bellio,
(03:13):
you've got to help me out here, and she said,
I'm on it.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
I'm on it.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
And I said I need an address on him, and
I need a couple of phone numbers, Mom and Dad's
phone number. And she said, okay, she calls me back
in five minutes.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
She did some unbelievable digging five minutes.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
This one should be the replacement if Alan Hamilton with
the lapd ever retires.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
This is a detective and we.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Don't want to say how she did it because who
knows how questionable her methods were.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
They're very questionable.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
But she got into some system and figured out, you know,
the mom's name, Barbara ed, the father's name, where they lived,
the history of property, what they've owned, and she gave
me three addresses and two phone numbers. I'm like, man,
this woman is great. If I'm ever missing, you call
BELLYO get her on the case. So I showed up
(04:06):
in Hawthorn, not the best part of Hawthorn, or maybe
I got caught up in the crazy part of Hawthorn.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Well sketch.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, a lot of guys, A couple of guys just
smoking weed on the corner, and I walked by with
a flashlight, so I look like, you know the mostly.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Hey fellows, what are you doing? Smell the weed?
Speaker 4 (04:28):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (04:29):
That's my that smells that good. Gosh they still use
that term gosh. Is that is that? Is that tie
stick you're smoking?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Is that shake?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Is that they still call it dining bag? Is that?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
That's not that Mexican shake?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
That we used to buy in the seventies, is it fellas?
Speaker 4 (04:45):
I gotta go.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
That's the that's it smells like seedless?
Speaker 5 (04:49):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Seedless? Smells good when you hear the pop run.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
So I walked by those two lads. They they didn't
follow me, but they did with their eyes. You know,
they looked at me the whole time.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Warm in your backside.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
So I walked by a liquor store and I go
in because there was I needed some water.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I didn't bring it with me, like an idiot.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
And inside that liquor store in Hawthorne, another liquor store.
I couldn't believe it. Yeah, it's a guy, low end
liquor store. Then a high in liquor store than the
liquor store. There's a lot of liquor stores in Hawthorne, a.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Lot of them. He doubled up in the store, that's right.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
And so I find the dad's house or the or
hit what I thought was his house. And and then
I there's like an alley to drive down, really dark,
really spooky, and I'm like, I'm gonna do it. I
drive down the alley and I and it and it
dead ends. Now I gotta turn my car around. I
gotta do like a seventeen point turn to get out
of there. Bran and fray, pray and pray and pray
(05:42):
and pray, pray and pray, pray. I finally get out
of there, and then I walk up to his address,
the address the bellio gave me, and there's a there's
a it's all dark, all the lights are out, the
TV's on, and the windows open, and I'm like, oh.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
This is bad news. This is bad news.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I call Petros because Petro lives that area, and I said, hey, U,
Petro's I'm here in Hawthorn.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
And he goes, oh, you got to get out of Hawthorne.
You gotta come by you pick me up, pick me up.
I'll go with you.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
I said, no, no, I don't have time to do that,
but I appreciate it. By the way, of all the
people in this building, Petros was the most terrified that
something bad has happened.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
He was the only one yesterday that really seemed concerned, Yes,
more than anybody, like truly like he was audibly concerned.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
And and then and then he said, oh, he goes, buddy,
this happened to a friend's father, I'm sorry. You know,
Steph Bush was a great guy. I'm like, wait, wait,
hold on a second, wait, Wow, wow, wow, we haven't
found him yet. He goes, oh, I've just got some
bad vibes. I know it's going to shake down. I
said no, no, no, no, let's keep on positive thoughts. Puzzive
Thos so Bellio gets ahold of Ed, who is Steph
Fush's dad, and says, here's a third address to go to.
(06:52):
So I go to this third address and I've and
there's Ed, and there's two other guys. There's the maintenance
guy there, and there's a neighbor, and so I'm talking
to them and I have my flash that looked like
an undercovered cop who's not really undercover, and and so
I said, hey, can we open Steph Usch's apartment and
I can go in and look to see if if
he's in there and wellness check exactly. And the maintenance
(07:15):
guy's like, wow, we don't really do that. And Ed
the father goes, I own that building. Open that door.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
This is no longer a question or a request. Door
pops open. Go in.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
His keys are gone, his car's gone, his wallet's not there,
and his cell phone's not there, so you're kind of like,
I don't know what's going on, So the neighbor. The
neighbor said, at two o'clock, he waved goodbye to him
as he was leaving for work, all right, And I said, okay,
that's a positi again, that's a positive. And then and
ed his dad was worried, sick. He was very emotional.
(07:47):
He's got a great father, that's a great family, so up.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
But up till that point, his dad had no idea.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
No, no, his dad didn't know until Bellio called him
at eight thirty that he was even missing.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
So he called him before you got or she called
him before you got there, right.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
And we met him at the at Stephfuji's apartment, and
he was shaken. I mean, he was to his core.
He didn't know what was going on with this guy.
He talked a little bit about you know how much
he loves the radio station and he wouldn't screw this up.
Something's happened to him where he's not calling and he's
not knowing can get a hold of him. I said, okay,
I'm going to call Burbank PD LAPD. You take care
(08:22):
of Hawthorne and let's file a missing persons and so
I left there and on my way back, I think
it was on my way back. When I got home,
they found him. He had a radical car accident where
the one oh five and the one ten meet the
one oh five east to the northbound one ten on
(08:42):
the way in, on the way on the way to work,
he hit somebody cut him off or somebody hit him
and he hit the guardrail and his car caught on
fire and burned to the ground. And three guys, and
we're going to try to find these three guys. Three
guys pulled him from that car and saved his life.
And if you want to go on our social media,
you can see the three guys very clearly who did this.
(09:05):
And if they're KFI listeners or anybody can identify and
please call us. We'd love to thank them in the
proper way. They may have saved this man's life. So
steph Ush's in the hospital, he's banged up, he's alive,
and the doctors did a remarkable job. But he was
listed under John Doe because he didn't have ID with
him and maybe his you know, license was in the
car and the car burned to the ground.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
So that wasn't useful.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
And and I can't tell you how everybody here at
the station rallied around to try to find this guy
and try to you know, because he's family. You know,
we've known it for four years, and he's not the
kind of guy that would just not show up.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
To work and not call or text. And man, it
was a it was a big deal.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
If you want to see the accident, somebody recorded it,
I think on TikTok. Yes, I was TikTok right, and
it's on all our social media. So if you go
any of our social media and Instagram, TikTok, Twitter at
Conway Show, we were unbelievable video.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
So I was talking to Sharon on the phone today
and she had she had gotten more a little bit
more info. And as we were talking to the phone,
my daughter was in the car and she just instantly
got on her phone and she found that TikTok and
it was like, oh my god, where's it? And so
she's forwarded to Sharon, but she was like, where'd you
find that? She was like TikTok, And I'm like, oh, yes,
how quickly did it take her to find that? Not
even thirty seconds?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Is that remarkable? Crazy?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I mean, you know, twenty thirty years ago it would
have been may have never been on video. Yeah, nobody
ever would have seen it. Now it's all on video.
So Bellio was going to come in today. She was
still shaken up about what happened. So I said, hey,
take the day off, work from home, and you know,
get yourself a nice rest over the weekend. But Bellio
has got the hard the size of the Hollywood side,
(10:45):
indeed huge, and cares about all these kids at work
here like they're her own kids. And it really says
something about this woman, Sharon Bellio. If you ever get
a chance to work with anybody like that, especially exactly
like that, Sharon Bellio, she's the person, the best.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I've always said, Sharon Belly is the heart of this station.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
That's right right, And and you stole that from me,
how about that? No, maybe not, But Sharon Belli o
an ad a girl. She gets an added girl. I'm
not sure what more she wants. You know, she probably
wants something, but that's what she gets for now, A
big old at a girl.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Get us a pelgrino, Yeah right, maybe a pelgrino.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
We are doing a GoFundMe for this guy because he's
going to be in the hospital for quite some time.
He was really banged up. So if you got your
social media's you can jump on that. I think me
going out looking for him is my contribution.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Uh So he put some zeros on that. Yeah, I
don't know what more I could have done.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
So I've done my I've funded, I've done the gofund
me by going out and looking for this man. And
so no, we'll try, we'll contribute some money to him,
but it's gonna be a long recovery. This is a
very sweet man, Stephus.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
He's got he's.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
A wonderful, unbelievable son to his father. His father has
had some challenges physically, and man Steph Fush is always
right there to help him out, always take him to
the doctor, whatever he needs, an appointment, a specialist, whatever,
that's Steph Fush drops everything he in front of him
when his dad calls the greatest son ever.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yes, and it's and it's a great reminder for people
of perspective of multiple things. Like as we said before,
when you're when you go to a job and you
fill out the forms that they always need for hr
and stuff, emergency contact, truly make it something.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Take that seriously.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
And that's why something exactly for something like this that
could have happened because he was a John Doe.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah, and he probably would have been today. Yeah, you
know if it wasn't for Bellio and and the and
the dad and Barbara his mom. Just unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Night texted my daughter and I said, this is why
you know I'm a crazy parent, and you know, just
want to know that you're okay. I'm not looking to
invade your life or no where you are at all times.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
But this is why.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Your heart, like you said, the second they're born, you
never sleep a full night again, never ever.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
And a buddy of mine, I ran into him at
a pizza place last night on the way home. As exhausted,
they stop at Joe's Pizza and a buddy happened to
be in the area. So we stopped by and I
was showing him. You know where I was in Hawthorne.
He says, Hey, I on the ways right under it
says Hustler Casino. He goes, you were just going to
do a drive by and you knew the Hustle of
Casino was in the area. That's where you were going
to go. Huh And I said, oh, please, come on,
(13:26):
what's wrong with you? You've only known me for forty
five years? How dare you? How dare you? How dare you? Anyway,
Steph Fush is great, not great, but he's on the
road to recovery, yes, and he's gonna have a full recovery.
He'll be back here in no time. If you want
to go to the gofund me man, he could certainly
use some help right now.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
And the other silver lining is, you know, it's a
great opportunity for him to see how much people love him.
Exactly how much and how many people love him.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Yeah, we goofund him, but we goofund everybody absolutely, But
then you got to be worried. That's right.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So UNDERGOFUNI it's this is supporting Stephan the foush s h.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I can't imagine.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
There's a ton of people and go fund me with
the foush listed in the title.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
And honestly, kind of like you pointed out, but without
the necessary reverence, the fact that you did what you
did and driving down there not even knowing exactly where
you were going at first. But that is that to
me is Sharon told me. When Sharon told me that
you had gone down there, I almost started crying just
right there on the phone, dude, because.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I can't this.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
That act alone is sorry, It's been a hard day.
That act alone is a true evidence of why people
care about you because that hearing your voice and the
way that you are on the air and what you
did last night. I always tell people, man, is what
(14:52):
you hear in the air is who he is.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Buddy.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
You are the best. You're absolutely the best. And this
is a big family. And look, Steph, who I mean, Krozer,
It's Krozer right. We would have done it for anybody,
even people aren't here anymore. If we found out that
Aaron ben Mosch was missing, or Chris Little or anybody
that worked here, anybody does work here.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
It's it.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
You know, it's your second family, and for a lot
of people it's their first family.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Truly is you know, everybody talks about, you know, the
demise of radio and it ain't what it was, but
what is still here and especially as long as I've
been here in Ben and radio, and it is a
prime example of the familial We're all in it together, right,
and the love that we all had for each other
and the camaraderie it is.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
It is a true testament to that. It really is,
it really is.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
You know, iHeart and everybody upstairs was very supportive. Everybody,
you know, couldn't believe this happened. They all want to
help somehow. Every I must have text fifty people who
work here at iHeart and every single one without exception,
how can I help?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
And shout out to Angel. You know, she was a
part of, like all of us, trying to piece this
thing together. Oh, she was a huge part of it,
you know, using her skills that she does and looking
up the accident important trying to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
This the was this it? And you know, just yeah,
So shout out to Angel as well.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
And Angel, what's really bizarre about this is you may
have reported on that incident.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
Well it happened at the time of the day where
I wasn't reporting on KFI at that time, but Ginny
harmon is and so I reached out to her and
I asked her if she remembered that wreck, and she's like, absolutely,
it was terrible and I told her it was fushi
(16:36):
and she was just like, oh my gosh. You know,
she talked about it for some time because it was
just so horrific and caused such a terrible drive for
the one O five and yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
One five eastbound to the one ten northbound.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yes, yeah, that's horrible. All right, will we'll get some
more news on us. But God blessed that Stef his
mom and dad. Beautiful beautiful family.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Hug your loved one. Yeah, man, it was just it
was a really, really tough night.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
Am six forty.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
If you missed any part of the first segment, if
you want to go back and listen to it. Steph
Fush got into a radical accident and he's going to
be uh in the hospital for some time and then
the long road recovery. So we've put together a GoFundMe.
It's on go fundme website and it's listed under.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
The foosh fosa names go and go fund me. Type
in Fush he'll come up.
Speaker 8 (17:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I wonder if how many people on go fundme are
listed under the Fush Probably zero, probably just the one guy.
Speaker 9 (17:39):
Currently we have two thousand and forty five dollars raised.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Oh that's great, all right, Well, I could probably take
him to once he's better, of course, take him to
del Mar and double that pretty quickly, you know, although
you know we could zero out and get bit at
the wire as well, so that could.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Be a problem.
Speaker 9 (18:00):
Actually I have a more current oh you do? Yeah? Fourteen?
Speaker 2 (18:04):
What Wait a.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Minute, it went from two thousand ten minutes ago to
five thousand yep, wait wait, I want to write that
number down. What an audience, Adam mighty? I think they
like Steph fushmore than anybody around here. All right, what
is the Let me see what is the current number.
Speaker 9 (18:21):
The current number is five fourteen dollars.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Okay, that's unbelievable. All right.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
And this guy we don't know, you know obviously what
he has insurance wise or money saved up. I can't imagine,
you know, a ton of dough. But any any little
bit helps, So that is great.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
This audience, this audience, you know, cars you've been around
longer than I have. But every time we do a
charity event or anything to raise money for anybody who's
down and out, this audience always shows up.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
I think it's like what we were talking about before, is
it's like, you know, as long as I've been here.
That connection with our audience helps us have the connection
with each other.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
So I think they just feed each other. Man, Yeah,
I think you're right.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
All right, we have a the canyon fire is still
burning out of control. The evacuation updates, we'll get into that. Also,
the water in the North Valley that's not around, so
that might be quite a bit until we, you know,
can until you know and Caltrans the Department of Water
(19:19):
and Power can put that back together. That's going to
be a big deal as well, they said today. But
I think we all know what's going on. That might
be quite a while. My guess, because I was born
and raised here in southern California, my guess is that
we're gonna have water probably around Thanksgiving for this crew
out there.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Maybe Halloween.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
But I've been around long enough to know you're gonna
enjoy your Thanksgiving with a big fresh gulp of water
out there. All right, let's get me all right, the
Canyon fire, the Canyon fire. Here's an update just moments ago.
What's going on there with the Canyon fire out northwest
of Lake Casting.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Progress being made, But first let me tell you our
quality is an issue. You'll hear from a doctor who's
got common sense advice for you if you're going to
be venturing out. But as Chris Christy mentioned, firefighters are
making progress.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Oh good, okay, progress on the Canyon fire.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
As firefighters continue to get the upper hand on the
Canyon fire, residents were telling us they were relieved that
the flames did not come down to their homes and
the Hasley Canyon area homes were still standing with flames
burning off in the distance. It's been a long night
and just watching the fire, watching it coming up right
up there on that heel firefire said you're okay at
(20:39):
this time, We've got this. One resident wasn't so lucky.
Rod Meyer lost a few outbuildings in the fire, but firefighters,
he says, saved his home.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
Got my golf cart, went down to call it. The
fire department said, hey, please get some water up here.
And they came up and they pulled all that metal
part and sprayed a bunch of water on it and
got this all wet.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
Ja smoke generated by the flames has affected the air
quality and Los Angeles Ventura counties. The latest from the
South Coast Air Quality Management District, the agency that monitors
the air we breathe. It reports the area of the
Canyon fire, the air quality is unhealthy. Martin stayed behind
to take care of their animals, including Izzy, their mini
(21:21):
ature pony. Once they saw blue skies today, they say
it got easier to breathe.
Speaker 8 (21:26):
This morning, it was the worst because no wind last night.
It just laid down like a blanket over all the
homes and it was really bad. Can you feel the difference, oh,
one hundred percent. Now, yeah, the wind's picked up a
little bit and blown a little bit away, and it's
lifted up, so it's much easier to breathe.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Out here.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
It was pretty bad.
Speaker 9 (21:43):
It was hard to breathe.
Speaker 7 (21:43):
And then you know, when I came out a little
while ago, it was much easier because the wind had
picked up.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
Doctor Ryan gill Is with Dignity Health. His advice, if
you don't have to go outside, don't.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Okay, there's your advice. If you don't have to go outside, don't.
All right, Remember and Biden you say that, don't And
if you were here today in La he would say, don't.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Don't.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
All right, We're gonna take a break care we'll come
back with more of the fire, more of the water,
outage and the heat and we're gonna have a hot
weekend here in southern California, and our own staff foosh
up to over five thousand, six thousand, six thousand.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Now, great contributions from people that that we know Tim Lynn,
people that I know I'd posted it on my social
and people who've never met him that live on the
East Coast that I went to high school with that
have contributed.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Just you know, Tim Tim Lynn.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
I think it's public information if it's listed on the site.
Donated five hundred dollars and which makes me a little
crazy because I called him a week ago and asked
him for to borrow money to go to the track,
and he said he was having a tight month. Maybe
had a good day, I guess, so wow, all right,
(22:50):
thanks Tim Lynn, five hundred dollars On Morgan Cook she
donated fifty. Oh that's great. Sor right to see up
the six grand already, this is unbelievable. It's lista undergofund
me as just as the foods well there's more of it,
but just fos H to be able to find that
pretty quickly.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
am six forty raising.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Money for our own staff foods. She got into a radical, radical.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Accident, unbelievable. And the fact that we got video. Yeah,
and his car.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
I don't know what he has insurance wise, but his
car was burned to the ground and he has one
of those priuses with the batteries in it. So when
the fire department comes out, they gotta be very careful
with time. Alex Michaelson is with us. He's leaving Fox,
and I think he's going to be the main anchor
for CNN.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Alex, how you, Bob?
Speaker 5 (23:44):
I'm doing all right? How you doing? Going with you?
Speaker 2 (23:46):
All right?
Speaker 1 (23:47):
It's not the main anchor for CNN? What about Fox?
Speaker 5 (23:51):
I'm not allowed to say yet.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
I will and I can.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
I will call you for yes, right.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
No, we we were thinking it was you, Gary and
Shannon Gassie, Gary, Shannon and Alex g a s.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
I thought that I was coming to work with you
to be your sidekick. But I guess I guess you
didn't want that. No.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
I love our relationship to wait it is right now.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
It's great. Once a week for five minutes.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Hey, it worked. It worked so far.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
A lot of relationships would be better if that was.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
That's right, that's right. Be a lot of laughs and
a lot of se next week. What so, man, we
got the water problem going on in the North Valley,
we got the fire, we got the heat.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
There is plenty of news going on.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
There's plenty of news and and uh and the mayor
of Los Angeles is at the center of all of it.
And she's our guest this week on the issue is
I mean, you think about what a you know, what
a week between the the ice raids, I should say,
the federal em ration raids this week, you know, President
Trump attacking her by name, the Olympics, the water stuff.
(25:06):
I mean, she's kind of right at the heart of it,
with some people really loving her and some people having
a really adverse response to her too.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Yes, And where does that line up percentage wise? Who
loves her and who has a problem with her?
Speaker 5 (25:22):
Well, from a political perspective, she's in a significantly significantly
better political position now than she was three or four
months ago. These these immigration raids have been very good
for her politically and kind of a reminder to a
lot of folks in the city of Los Angeles, which
is of course more democratic than larger southern California region
(25:46):
and got more democratic than the state as a whole.
That you know, she's a Democrat who's against Donald Trump,
and that's good politics right now in the city of
Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
All right, So she's the big guest, and I on
the issue is at ten thirty?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Yes, is she your only guest for the hour?
Speaker 5 (26:06):
She's our guest? Yes?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
All right, because Larry King would say, you know, bad
pick for the hour on see It.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Yeah, so you're leaving Fox? When did your last day
at Fox?
Speaker 5 (26:17):
My last day is a week from today, next Friday.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Really that quickly they threw out that quickly?
Speaker 5 (26:22):
Huh, yeah, they just threw me out.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
No, it's been very nice. Everybody here has been I mean,
the bosses have been great and been very accommodating, and
it's very cool that they're letting me say goodbye. I
mean next week. You're luck you have like a goodbye episode.
Of the issue is that does not really happen that
much in broadcasting, and so I feel very fortunate and
I'm grateful for that.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
You're lucky.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
They usually just fire you and then start rumors about
people about you.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
You know, exactly where you just disappear off the air,
and they pretend like you never existed and is gone,
and people wonder what happened to that person.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
But they can't do that anymore because of social media.
You know, before social they could fire you and not
tell anybody where you went. But because social media, you'll
have more numbers on social media, perhaps some nights than
you have viewers.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Sorry, And then so you.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Can go to true you can go to social media
and tell everybody where you're going to be, and they
they understand the power of that, so they can't be
rude to people and be dismissive like that like they
were in the past.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
I mean I put out a post on Instagram and
a post on Twitter this week and combined I think
it got six or seven hundred thousand views. Wow, just
the post announcing that. So yeah, I mean that's higher
ratings than we get for the TV show unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Yeah, Okay, obviously a guy in his way out, you know,
ridiculing ratings.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
I'm not, No, I mean it's the truth that's higher
that you get for your radio show, right, I mean,
it's just right, just the way it is.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
So that's the way social media is. Yes, you're exactly right, buddy.
I appreciate you coming on. I'm sorry we're pressed for
time here, but we went over on our first segment
talk about Steph. I know you send your love to him.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
I know you know him.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Yeah, of course.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
And it's just a radical, horrible accident.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
That's horrible. Yeah. I hope, yeah, I hope we can
and if we can be helpful to try to figure
out in any way, let us know.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Okay, thank you, all.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Right, buddy, I appreciate it. The issue is tonight ten
thirty on Fox.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Take go wrong with you? All right.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Kiki is with us. I Bellio took the day off.
She was very emotion about what happened last night. Pikiki
is with us. Kiki, he's running, she's running the other hall,
all right, is it? She's kipping an eye on the
numbers with I'm here. What do we got on Go
fund me?
Speaker 9 (28:34):
Okay, it's updating ten thousand, seventy four.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Dollars, Holy Christ, are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Ten thousand seventy four dollars. Wow, this guy's going to retire.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
And again, it's amazing to see the names of some
of these people. That you know, you know a little,
you know a lot and you don't know it all.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (28:53):
Yeah, And there's a lot of people that are donating
like five hundred.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
This guy's gonna get a condo and Maui, you know,
say screw Cai's moving to.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Mauieh can be slow down a little bit. Yeah, wow,
that's unbelievable. All right, we are live.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the audience doing that.
It really means a lot to us and obviously to uh,
Steph Foosh's gonna.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Have a long road, a long road in front of him.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
If you're just tuning in our own Steph Foosh is down.
He got into a radical accident. He's the guy who
helps produce the show. He's also a bordop here. One
of the sweetest men you'll ever meet, absolutely very kind dude.
Just recently ran into a lady friend and had that
going on. So you know what it's like when you're
(29:40):
single forward, that's right, when you're singling, what is that?
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Angel I was gonna say?
Speaker 9 (29:46):
And a champion of hot dog Eater in Burbank.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
That's right, eleven hot dogs last Hot Dog Day, without
a contest or a competition, just casually choking down eleven
hot dogs.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
That's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
And it looks like we've raised almost one thousand dollars
per hot dog, almost eleven thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Here for Steph Fush on GoFundMe. If you do a search,
just go to GoFundMe dot com and just put in
the search foosh. It's pretty fanatic foosh and you'll find it.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Rick Chambers, who started in Los Angeles in nineteen ninety two,
he told me a great story. He's with KTLA. He
told me a great story. He started on a Monday
in nineteen ninety two. On Wednesday, the Riots breakout, he
was here. Oh wait, a Krozer you were with? I
was on the third channel, right, I was on coast.
(30:38):
So Rick Chambers starts on a Monday and on a Wednesday,
the riots breakout. That's his welcome to Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
I remember watching, like watching all of that when I
was in the station when it was all happening in Koreatown.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
He was on NBC then and they went over to
I think he went over to k CAL for a
while now he's with KTLA. But tonight at ten o'clock,
he came in. I've known forever. I've known since you know,
the days of Kala Sex. Very nice guy, very nice man,
Rick Chambers. He's the one that helped us out when
we have that whole David Cash story when Sharise Iverson
(31:12):
was killed up on State Line, and he's the one
that came in and started the publicity for that locally.
So I will always have a warm place in my
heart for that man.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
I remember when he first started out, he was on TV.
Me and my friends that worked at Coast we saw
him and go, oh my god, they hired a superhero.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
That's great. Yeah he does. He looks like Superman.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
But that's gonna be ten o'clock tonight on Channel five
on KTLA.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Rick Chambers came in with this.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
He was eating this cameraman came in as well, and
so tonight on Channel five at ten o'clock and be
sure to watch that. We're gonna put that on social
media as well and see if we can get some
publicity for this young man. This young man had the
worst week of his life.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
Our Catalina's Club which we have our little pastathon every year.
The man in charge of that, the Bruno Serrato, is
the man who owns the White House and Ana, I'm
he donated a few hundred dollars as well, Is that right?
Speaker 5 (32:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Oh man, it's it's unbelievable the amount of people. Listen,
the amount of people that donate, and Steph Fush is
going to break down when he hears that.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
It is.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Every time I go to look at it, it's a
little hard for me to I got to choke it
back too. Yeah, it's an amazing thing to see.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
It really is great.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
So tonight Channel five at ten o'clock, Rick Chambers is
doing a story on Steph Fush, So if you want
to take a look at that. We may or may
not have pictures of Steph Fush in the hospital bed
may or may not.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
We're looking to uh to get those. But I understand
if he doesn't want to do that.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Man, he is the silver lining the reaction he's gonna
have seeing this in the outBut oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Sitting in bed in the hospital and turning on Katla
and like, oh heit, that's.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Hang on.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
But we still got to find those three guys If
you know any of those three guys who helped save
Steph Fusch's life, please let us know through social media.
You can contact us at Conways show at iHeartMedia dot com.
There are three gentlemen, they're clearly visible on our social
media that pulled Steph fuj out before his car caught fire.
(33:23):
If they didn't do that, this would have been a
very different show.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
I just got to notice right now that Fush is
in his second surgery now and in the ICU. Okay,
and a woman who apparently who tied a tourniquet on
him as well.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Oh is that right? Okay? All right?
Speaker 1 (33:36):
So, uh so the woman that did that and the
three guys that dragged him out of his car. You
saved this man's life. Yeah, yeah, you saved Steph Fush's life.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
They were about to call it at one point, I think,
oh my god, yeah, unbelievable. All right, we're lying, go.
Speaker 9 (33:50):
Ahead, I'm sorry, just quickly.
Speaker 7 (33:51):
With all the terrible things that are going on in
the world, it's people like the ones that helped out
Fushi that just remind you how many good people there
still are out there.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
That's right, That's exactly right. You Crystallize My Thoughts.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
