coming in and explain exactly how this trip is gonna work.
It's gonna be great. It's gonna be a lot of fun.
I'm sorry, a little button right there, I know, but
(00:57):
I hate the buttons. Filthy. Oh boy, excited. I was
eating pretzels too excited and left in that snack draw.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Isn't it? Yeah, gone a week.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I don't like to complain because it's all free. But
that's supposedly free.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Well, you never donate, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I put it in a couple of bucks, but I
see the money just sit there.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, that's weird to me.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
And so I I don't know, Ben Michelle, I don't
put Yeah, I do, Venmo, I don't. I don't like
to do that. I mean, I don't like to pay
for snacks. You don't, so you don't pay? No, I
put so alike. I put a couple of bucks in there,
but I saw it sit there and I thought somebody
else took it. So I don't like to leave money. Yeah,
you know, just openly, but.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
You're not sure that the money's going to go where
it's intended to.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
All right, let's uh do the news. Let's start with Maddie.
He's a guest here and he's put up our interview
with Loretta Sweat on all the social media. Is is
that correct?
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:57):
Bellio did most of it, but I got it up
on YouTube.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
So the whole.
Speaker 6 (02:00):
Length one there?
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Okay, Where is it on YouTube?
Speaker 6 (02:03):
On the Conway Show?
Speaker 1 (02:03):
YouTube YouTube show?
Speaker 4 (02:05):
All right? Yeah? Excellent?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
And uh, and you did some great work for us
yesterday on the interviews that we did. You put him
up on on the socials. Yeah, that was also for
for the YouTube page. We did a yeah you're good
at it, buddy, you and kiky Man. You guys knocked
that out.
Speaker 7 (02:20):
All right.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
What's going on in the world we should know about Maddie?
Speaker 6 (02:23):
So I have an update on my favorite reality TV family,
the Chris Leies.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
So you like that show on?
Speaker 6 (02:29):
I love that show. Yes, they got a part. They
received a pardon from President Trump. But Todd Chris Lee
did a press conference today and he announced that they
are going to come back to TV and h yeah,
so they'll be coming back and exposing the injustices of
their their legal drama.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Okay, now, is he gonna have to his hair and
skin and tanning salon. He's gonna have to really spend
a couple of weeks putting that together.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Huh yeah, yeah, they just say he's uh, he's Jack
now his appearance changed and yeah, people are saying that
since he's since he's come.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Out and Maddie. For a guy like me who's never
seen that show and they've never heard of these people
before this pardon. What is that show all about?
Speaker 6 (03:09):
It's like a good, wholesome family show. I mean, it's
lightly scripted, but it's got a reality feel. Comedy, comedy
feel too. Yeah, it's a good show. Do you feel
they were railroaded by the system?
Speaker 7 (03:19):
Completely?
Speaker 6 (03:20):
Fourth Amendment violations?
Speaker 1 (03:22):
A lot of stuff went wrong there.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
I'm like one of those people standing outside the jail
with the side.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I love that. I don't know what your politics are.
You're all over the place, but man, you get you
go one hundred miles an hour in every direction. When
you see it injustice, you're like, oh man, we need more.
That guy's got screwed.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
Where chat sheept calls it a parasocial relationship, I believe.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
So you were a huge fan of that show, Yes, definitely.
And if they had merchandise, you would be a guy with.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
I had some Chase Crystally candles, Yes, definitely, buddy, you.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Got to be our correspondent with these chrystlies. There's nobody
knows more about that love. What network is it on?
Speaker 6 (04:14):
It was on USA and they're coming back on Lifetime okay?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
And what how many years have they been on? Since
twenty fourteen? The show is on Okay, so that's a while. Yeah, yeah,
all right? And how does she look when she's been
released anything?
Speaker 6 (04:28):
She looks good to her hair's dark, she was blonde.
Now her hair's darker, so yeah, she looks good though.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
You know I heard is Todd the husband? Yes, I
heard Todd. I called Donald Trump and said, you know,
my wife was really the brains behind all this illegal activity?
Could you keep her in there another twelve.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Years just so you could come out without her?
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Now?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Rude, isn't it?
Speaker 8 (04:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, that is. That's terribly rude. Yeah, it's horrible. Yeah,
I'm terrible. All right, Steph fush what's going on in
the world? Bub Oh? He wokeme?
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Back to you?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Going back to you? All right? That's that looks like
a whole bunt cake. You know usually people usually people
eat a slice, not fushie.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Wow, not me? Man? Is that?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Can you dislodge your lower jaw like that like a
snake like I've been told that I do, like dislodge
the bottom of my jaw to like fit a burger
in my mouth like I did with the eight by eight. Okay,
all right, all right, we'll come back as soon as
the bunk cakes don We'll come back here. What's up? Croach.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Despite being on the State Departments Do not travel list,
Afghanistan is a hot spot for adventurous travelers. The Talibans
increased its morality laws since returning to power back in
twenty twenty one. It's been preventing women from education past
the sixth grade and singing or reciting poetry and public programment.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
My kind of guys.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
But the number of tourists has actually increased more than
tenfold since that time in twenty twenty one. Wow, both
men and women.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Wait, people are are vacationing and in Afghaniss going there
for tours.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Travelers typically start in Kabble, they fly in from Dubai, Pakistan,
or they'll cross the land border from Tajikistan. A local
tour operator in Afghanistan who runs Let's Go Afghanistan says
it's a golden time for tourism in the country, with
monthly tours fully booked and a need for more English
speaking workers.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Who I'd like to go because women who recite poetry
and public are annoying.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
And you don't have to worry about that going to
see that there.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yeah, not at all. Yeah, really, I'm with them.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Other countries that have had recent conflict of wars, like Syria,
are also getting more tourists now that Shira Slav's gone God.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Would have they said no to when you're traveling with
the family in Afghanistan for a week to vacation, would
you say no Hawaii, no Mexico, no Canada, no cruises,
We're going to Afghanistan? All right, Angel, what's happening out there?
Speaker 9 (06:51):
Well, guess what's back Pride parade that is coming up?
Speaker 7 (06:57):
But Zeka is back.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Oh No.
Speaker 9 (07:02):
In Hawaii, they have detected their first case since twenty
nineteen and there is one verified case of it so far,
possibly two more on tap with a couple of people
that they think may be infected. So the Hawaii Department
of Health is warning everybody about this. They are suggesting
(07:22):
that residence this is happening on the island of Oahu,
that residence use a lot of insect repellent and remove
any standing water so you got like a little puddle
of water, or maybe your pool isn't being used.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
It's transmitted from mosquitos.
Speaker 9 (07:40):
It is transmitted from a mosquito bite. There's a lot
of other ways that you can get it. You can
get it through sex.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Oh is that right? Yeah? Backing around with the guy with.
Speaker 7 (07:51):
Zika, Oh boy, oh boy.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
But anybody who says it like that is not having sex.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
How does somebody that's having it say it when they're having.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
That's great.
Speaker 9 (08:13):
Some of the symptoms include a rash mm hmm mm, fever, headache,
joint pain, pink eye and it's most dangerous for pregnant
women because they can pass it along to the fetus.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Is that a show pink eye for the straight guy?
Is that something else?
Speaker 9 (08:41):
People infected with ZECA will develop symptoms? And you know,
so when you get all scratchy and rashy and fevery
and pink eye ish, you probably have the zinc Excellent.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Okay, let's go back to the bunt stud bunk cake stuff.
Corona Sunbrew Citrus Servas aligned with gen Z is drinking
Corona preferences. Yeah, Corona, So they have like a new
flavor coming out, and it's for gen Z because gen
Z is drinking significantly less alcohol than previous generations. I
(09:14):
saw that pot. They're they're smoking pot more than they're drinking.
Oh yeah, And Corona Sunbrews Citrus Serves is a new
launch that recognizes their habits and preferences. Corona developed the
slight Beer after noting gen Z's love of personalizing drinks
to their taste by mixing different beverages and flavors. Okay,
(09:34):
I love Corona. That's my beer. Yeah, Corona's bomb. Yeah,
I enjoy those. The tall cans, you know, the tall
slim ones. Slim ones, they don't get the what is
it elite? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you. But
they don't get warm as quickly. The fat round ones
get warm pretty quickly. But the taller they are, the
(09:56):
cooler they stay. I guess I don't know if that's
the thing or noth All right, that is the news whip.
There you go, ding dong. I thought it was great.
I thought it was terrific. I thought everybody did a
good job. When we come back, we will. We're we're
about fifteen minutes away from the big reveal where the
trip's going to be next year. I'm taking a trip
with you. You're taking a trip with me. You're going
to you know, bump the credit card and you're just
(10:18):
gonna do it. It might be the only time I
ever do this. So we're going. We're going, and if
you love me, you're going. Even if you like me,
you're going. If you hate me, you're going. Maybe we'll fight.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Alex Michaelson with the Issue is every Friday night at
ten thirty is with us every Friday, I don't know,
sometimes four, sometimes four thirty, sometimes five five thirty. But
I've got to say, first of all, let me welcome him,
Alex Michaels, and welcome to KFI.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
How you Bob good ding dong with you?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Dig dong with you. I don't know if you know this,
but you have the honor, my friend, of being the
last guest that I have on this show before we
announced the big trip for next year, A crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Right, the big deal. Are you excited?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yeah, you're gonna go. You know where. I haven't text
you where it is. I'll text you in a bit, though,
but I think maybe you should go.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
This is a trip that you're paying for me to
go to.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
No, No, you got to work.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
You got to spend some of that Fox money to
get out to get out there. All right, we'll do
that at five point thirty. Though, let me ask you
a question. Did you know who the Christlies were before
Trump pardoned them?
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I knew who they were, but I've never watched their
reality show and didn't really care that much about them.
But I hadn't heard about them, have you had you
heard about that?
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Never heard that name before in my life, not even close.
But I was wondering. And again, Matt, who's with us,
one of our great producers, he had the same thought,
how are the Chris lies on on the mind of
the President of the United States? How did that happen?
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Well, I mean he does know a thing or two
about reality shows. Okay, all right, that rides in that circle, right,
I mean, they were talking about maybe doing a reality
show with the Department of Homeland Security where people fight
to be Americans, you know. I mean, so, I guess
being on TV seems to be a good thing when
(12:26):
it comes to President Trump. If you look at the
people that are around him.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
That's right, that's right. Well look that that's that. Then
you're in the cat bird.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Seed, I guess. So yeah, you know.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
One of the questions that was interesting today Peter Deucy
from Fox asked him about the possibility of pardoning Diddy,
and he said, back in the day, you said that
Diddy was a good friend of yours. And he said, well,
did he you know, doesn't said some not some nice
things about me after I ran for office. Maybe maybe
he's not getting his part. But then Trump said he
(12:58):
would look at it and it doesn't matter matter if
somebody likes him or not. He just looks at the facts,
is what he said, which I'm sure everybody believes that.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
You believe that. No, No, I don't think.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I don't think it helps.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
I don't think he doesn't think it helps to like him. Hey,
you know who I really helped him as part of it.
You know who I really like who I've never met.
But I'm glad he's back up on his feet. I
really like that Billy Bush. You ever met him?
Speaker 4 (13:20):
I like Billy Bush a lot.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
Yeah, Billy spin on the Issue is a few times
and and is on with us here on Fox eleven
on Extra, although he's doing his own thing now. He's
got a show called Hot Mike's where he's a great
much more great. Yeah, it's it's it's much more sort
of Billy than the entertainment stuff. But he's a really smart,
funny guy.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
And and they tried to cancel him, you know, over
that bus audio that leaked out and it was just
you know, two guys doing what two guys, do you know,
talk about the crap and and he came back from
that and he's more popular now than he was before.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Yeah, I mean, it's it's that that whole thing was
such bs on so many levels for him. But I'm
glad that he's he's doing his thing and he's getting
to be himself. And yeah, Hot Mike's is the perfect
title for that.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
It's a great title. Hey, so what's happening with Mayor Bass?
He's lawyered up um.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Well, meaning that she didn't show up to the hearing
yesterday that they that they wanted her to.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Show up to.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
Yeah, I mean, I I that was an interesting choice,
although usually in something like that, the head of the
city is not the person that shows up. I mean,
like you don't see the president showing up to Congress
to testify, and so there might be some legal.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Arguments about not wanting to do that, but.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
It would have been nice to see her there and
and whatever whoever's there, whether it's her or somebody from
her office, it would be great to get some more
answers in terms of what's happening with homeless spending in
Southern California, because obviously, for the amount of money that
we're spending, we're not getting the results that most people
would expect.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Right, not only you know, very a light on results,
but there could be up to two point five billion
dollars that's just gone missing.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Right Where did that money go?
Speaker 5 (15:10):
And we've seen the audit from the state twenty four
billion dollars that they don't know where it went.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Oh god, I mean, when do people have enough? You know,
why don't people say that's enough? You know, we can't
take this anymore. The state's broke, the city's broke, the
county's broke, everybody's broke.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Meanwhile, we've got we've got no run money to fix
the streets, we've got no money to hire police officers.
We've got no money to fix our kids' schools. Like
all the basic stuff. People want, basics, And that's where
I think a lot of politicians are so focused on
these ideological battles or getting clicks on social media or
(15:46):
what cable news is talking about. It's like the basics,
that's right. People want glean streets, safe environments, you know,
nice schools for their kids, and then for the most part,
get the hell out of the way after that.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
We have never been invited to participate in the Pride parade,
and it sort of bothers me. Have they asked you
to be in it?
Speaker 5 (16:09):
No, never been invited, But why would they not? I
think of you as a gay icon, and I'm surprised.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
I am an ally you are not You are not there?
Speaker 4 (16:16):
How is how is that possible?
Speaker 1 (16:18):
I consider myself an ally of the community.
Speaker 5 (16:21):
Yeah, I mean when we think of the Mount Rushmore
of gay icons, you think of like Barbara Streisan and
Cher and Judy Garland and Ken Conway Jr.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Never never been approached to be in that parade, and
that bothers me. All Right, who's on the issue is
the big show tonight.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
We've got Alex Thompson, who is the co author of
the number one book in America right now, Original Sin,
going into what happened with Joe Biden and everything today.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Joe Biden.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
Did you see that he came out today and said
that he wanted to he could beat up Alex Thompson
and Jake Tapper. He literally literally said that was his
response to the book. More question who's been incusedive mental
acuity issues? But the book's really interesting and I know
(17:12):
There's been a lot of stuff written about Jake Tapper
and all the rest of it, but if you just
read the book, which I did, it's really interesting. I
learned a lot of stuff from it. Alex has been
kind of way ahead of this for years. He was
reporting the the some of these age stories when everybody
else in the media was ignoring it. A lot of
people were mocking him for it, and uh and so
it's it's really eye opening to dig into what happened
(17:34):
and hopefully so it can never happen again.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
I'll be watching tonight, buddy. I appreciate you coming on.
Stay on KFI. We'll become back. We're going to reveal
the trip, and I want you to be excited where
we're going.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
Ding dong dig dog.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Thanks for coming on, man, thank you all right, there,
he goes Alex Michaelson. That is it. That's our last
guest on and our last segment before we reveal reveal
the Big Trip, the Big Trip. When we come back.
Where are we going?
Speaker 2 (18:03):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM sixty.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
We are all going on a trip. In front of me,
we have Tanya, Andrea and Doris. Tanya and Doris are
from travel store, and Andrea is the director of sales
for a certain company. I don't want to say which
company yet, but welcome to the show, everybody.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
We're so glad to be here.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Oh this is great. Okay, Now, who wants to reveal
the trip? You want me to do it? Andrew? You
want to do it? Okay, here's where we're all going.
We're leaving July twenty first of next year, and we're
all flying to Seattle to board a ship and take
an Alaska cruise. Yeah, we are leaving. It'll be July
(18:54):
twenty first. I think it's a Tuesday through the following Tuesday.
And it's going to be the great greatest trip in
the world. And if you're not on it, man, you
were going to kick yourself in the astronam being on
this cruise. Oceana Cruises, that's the cruise line, and then
we're gonna be on the MS Riviera. All right, now,
let me get your close to that Mike there, Andrew,
(19:14):
how long you've been with the cruise line?
Speaker 10 (19:16):
So I have worked in the cruise industry for over
twenty seven years.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Okay, twenty seven years. That's a long time, and so
you've seen the explosion of this business.
Speaker 11 (19:25):
Fight of it has changed over the years.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Do you remember, like, you know, thirty years ago, you
know they would get like one or two new ships
a year come on on scene. Now it's like sometimes
it's ten to twenty.
Speaker 11 (19:38):
You can't keep track.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah, I mean Disney started with their own little tiny cruise.
They exploded all these other cruise ships. You know, everybody's exploded,
and you guys are What I like about Oceana is
that it's not ten thousand football fields with nine thousand people.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Now.
Speaker 10 (19:56):
We have currently sailing seven ships. Okay, we'll be welcome
our eighth ship in July. But we are really small
ship luxury. So our ships carry between six hundred to
around twelve hundred guests.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Okay, and what's the ratio to employees per passengers?
Speaker 5 (20:12):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (20:12):
Good question. I don't know exact number, but I can
tell you we are a foody cruise line. We have
oh nice, one chef for every ten guests.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Is that right? Wow, that's like your personal and personal chef's.
Speaker 10 (20:25):
We are definitely focused on culinary and we have an
extraordinary program on board. We have numerous dining venues. And
one of the big values is that we don't have
a cover charge or service fee for any of our
dining locations.
Speaker 11 (20:41):
They're all included, Oh.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
All of them.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Okay. You know I like that because you know when
you go on some of these ships and you see that,
oh those people are eating better than I am, but
they're paying another three hundred dollars for that meal. It
separates people. It doesn't bring people together.
Speaker 11 (20:55):
No, and it's great.
Speaker 10 (20:56):
So on Riviera specifically, you have your Grand Dining Room,
which is fantastic. It has open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Menus change every single day. But there's four specialty restaurants
okay that everybody gets to dine out, whether it's the
French restaurant, the Asian restaurant, steakhouse, or our Italian restaurant,
and all of that's all included.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
So when we leave this I love about this cruise.
I meant to tell Leslie that my favorite part of
the cruise is it doesn't leave at seven am, correct, right,
because I'm not a morning guy.
Speaker 11 (21:27):
Oh, so you don't have to worry.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
This ship doesn't pull out till five pm, and I
still might miss it.
Speaker 11 (21:33):
No, we'll make sure you don't.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
All right, Well, we're leaving out of Seattle and we
are going to there's one stop in Canada. I think
it's Victoria, where where they have the you know, the
big Yeah, and they also have that big what's the
Empress Hotel.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I went on a cruise with my mom up in
Alaska and it was during the school year. She was
a life master at Bridge and she could take one
of her kids for one hundred dollars. She was the
tea trip Bridge and I went on that cruise ship.
It was the Royal Viking Sky, you know. This is
nineteen seventy seven. And we get on the ship. We'll
leave out of San Peter or we go to Alaska.
(22:10):
And when we leave San Peedro, I'm walking around the ship.
I was fifteen, the next youngest person fifty eight.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
So I thought, God, Almighty, this is gonna be a
long couple of weeks here, you know, I mean, everybody
with the walkers and the wheelchairs, I got them, mighty.
But I love this cruise. I'm gonna I think I'm
gonna take my wife and my daughter and one of
her friends might go as well. But this is going
to be a fantastic cruise. I love you know where
(22:42):
it's stopping. There's gonna be one day in like Glacier
Bay or you know, to see all the you know,
what's left of the glaciers up there. This is how
this is how long ago this this cruise was in
nineteen seventy seven that I took in nineteen seventy seven
on the Royal Viking Sky, which doesn't exist anymore. We
when we got to Glacier Bay, the captain said, I'd
like to turn everybody's attention to the starboard side of
(23:03):
the ship, which is you're facing forward, it's the right
side of the ship. And they blasted a cannonball into
the glacier to make it fall so we can all
look at that. How about that That does all these big,
you know, stupid Americans like, hey, let's go pound the
glaciers and see what that looks like. No, they also
(23:23):
went out and they collected ice from the ocean to
put in our drinks that night. They still do that,
I think they did. Okay, yeah, but it really is.
I mean, look I had that was you know, that
was forty some years ago. I can still tell you
a thousand things that happened on that ship. I think
when you're on a ship like that and you're with
friends or family or this case also friends listeners, you
(23:47):
just you remember things and that stays with you forever.
I absolutely understand why when people take a cruise, the
first thing they do when they get home is they
book another one.
Speaker 7 (23:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah, and I think you have the most loyal audience
of any travel experience.
Speaker 10 (24:01):
Well, it's just a fantastic way to get to experience
different places. And you only unpack once you get on board.
You unpack once. It's FROs a different place every day,
every two days.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Yeah, and it really is great. So will we can
you stay with us? Okay, we'll come back. I want
to talk about the rooms. You know, we're the rooms
or we gonna have you know, huge rooms are we're
gonna be a you know, sleeping in the engine room
that that whole run. We'll cover that, okay, all right,
Tanya's with us. Andrea, the director of sales and also adors,
is with us. These people are from travel Store, and
Andrea's with the cruise ship line, the director of sales
(24:32):
of Oceana Cruises. And we'll come back and talk more
about this cruise. But we're going on a cruise July

it's going to be a fantastic cruise. We're all going.
You're going, whether you like it or not, you're gonna
break out a credit card.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
You're going.
Speaker 1 (25:50):

the director of sales. Hello, you been with the riviwer

Speaker 11 (26:00):

Speaker 1 (26:17):

Speaker 8 (26:21):
And they can do a shore excursion with you really yes?
Speaker 1 (26:25):

Speaker 7 (26:28):
Tbd?
Speaker 11 (26:28):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (26:29):
Tbd, yes, tbd.
Speaker 8 (26:30):
But I can tell you it will be a small
intimate group, so people will have a really good experience
and get to know you that day.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Like me and some divorce a that that smaller.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
Group maybe a little bit bigger, all right.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
But you know, there's a lot of things you can
do up there when you get off the cruise ship too.
I went back in the seventies and we went to
Juno Sitdkis, Gagway. There's a lot of little, you know,
day excursions you can take. I know there's a zip
line on one of the stops up there, and just
to see how beautiful this country is and how beautiful
lask is. You come back with a real appreciation of
(27:08):
how big this country is and how vast and how
beautiful it is. It really is great, all right. So
the vip is that could be sold out, there's only
twenty left of that.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
Yeah, we had twenty four. We've already sold four from
your pre email.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Now we've had we are fifteen cabins are gone.
Speaker 7 (27:24):

upgraded cabin. If you're looking for a penthouse suite. There's
only so many a board, So if you want a
good cabin, please call us asap.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Okay, now, is there any way for me to get
the cabin nowhere near? The people coming with me is
that possible?
Speaker 4 (27:42):
All right, one.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Hundred and fifteen. Are people are already interested?
Speaker 7 (27:46):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:46):
And to and if you are interested in the cruise,
you go to Conwaycruise dot com or you can call
or you can call. Yeah, we're gonna be the phone
number as well. But if you go to the website
Conwaycruise dot com, you can fill out a little thing
at the bottom there sign up for more information, and
you can sign up there. You put your email address in,
your first name, your last name. How many travels are
(28:08):
you're taking? Are you addicted to gambling? Something like that?
Maybe that's not on that list. But you can also
call this number. Get ready to take this number down.
If you're driving, don't reach for your phone, but remember
this number. Eight hundred triple seven. That's easy to remember.
So far we got that eight hundred triple seven sixty
(28:28):
five forty eight hundred triple seven sixty five to forty.
And we're going to Alaska. Have you been on Andrew,
have you been on Alaska Cruise?
Speaker 9 (28:37):
I have?
Speaker 11 (28:37):
I've been six times.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Really going. Oh, so you've been to Skagway probably I have.
With that train that goes up there, that's beautiful.
Speaker 10 (28:45):
Yeah, no, but I've been to kitchen Can many times.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Henchi Can is great.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
I love kitchen Can. It's known as Alaska's first port. Okay,
one of the most southern cities that you come to
when you're sailing north to Alaska. Great for bears, Yeah,
can go watch for bears. And then Sitka is fantastic.
To love Sitka. Lots of great restaurants there.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
And what is the weather like this time or that
time of year?
Speaker 10 (29:08):
So that is a great question. I always say for Alaska,
you want to prepare for everything. I've been many times.
It can be sunny, it can be rainy. So we
always say dress in layers. You want to be prepared
for everything. But I tell people pack sunscreen. You might
be surprised and how sunny it can be, and so
bring sunscreen as well as a waterproof layer. Have your hat,
(29:31):
have sunglasses.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
How many pools on board?
Speaker 11 (29:33):
There is a.
Speaker 10 (29:34):
Pool on board, and then we also have several spas,
and then there's also some hydration pools back at the
spa terrace.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
All right, excellent, Maybe I should ask this off. Well,
maybe i'd ask on there is it okay to wear
a skin colored speedo at the pool?
Speaker 10 (29:53):
I mean, we might recommend to wear something else.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
I'm gonna get the va.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
I gotta get the raw us tonight, pick out a
new suit. I knew you got a year. I knew
you wouldn't be into it. Yeah, nobody's into that suit
except me, all right. So you can upgrade to a
suite and you know, if you got that kind of dough,
that's a big deal. But there's limited suites there is.
Speaker 10 (30:14):
There's limited accommodations altogether on the ship. I always recommend,
especially when you're going to Alaska, you want a veranda.
When's your own private veranda. You can walk out in
the morning, have a cup of coffee, enjoy a cocktail
at night. It's great for cruising the inside passage and
just to step outside.
Speaker 11 (30:29):
On your own brand and get fresh air.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Okay. So for people like me, they went to LAUSD.
That's a patio.
Speaker 11 (30:36):
Patio, Yes, brand of balcony patio.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yes. Okay.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
The deposit is five hundred dollars per person. That'll hold
you a cabin or a slot. And if you do
it before six twelve, which is June twelve, you're going
to get a two hundred dollars on board credit. Yes,
and what can you do with the credit on board, Well,
you could do.
Speaker 8 (30:57):
It, especially for your ad C days. You have two
on the crews, which I love, and those are great
for three like the three s's for spat.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
You can sleep.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
You have to say last one.
Speaker 7 (31:11):
We can't forget. There's a casino.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Oh yes, I'm bringing my daughter's college fund, so that'll
be interesting.
Speaker 7 (31:20):
They're also going to force you to play poker a
poker night, poker night.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, Oh that'll be great, man, this is gonna be great.
What is that casino open all night? Are they close
a certain hour?
Speaker 11 (31:29):
So they do close it a certain time.
Speaker 10 (31:31):
The rule is you do have to be in international
waters or the casino to be open.
Speaker 11 (31:35):
But there's slot machines, there's table games.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Oh it says here on the website. The casino does
close when Conway gets on a roll. Try to get
some money back. And this is all you can drink.
Speaker 10 (31:49):
Yes, special for your group. We have negotiated a special package.
Really since you have our prestige beverage package included. When
you're booking through travel store for your sailing.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Do you know who's coming?
Speaker 11 (32:04):
Don't tell them? Back up my head office got mighty.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
You are but there's gonna be they're gonna drink the
profit margin. It's gonna you know, you guys are gonna
call Leslie and go we didn't make a dime guy
as I got on and all they did is drink
Tito's for a week. So it's all you can drink.
That's great. All you can eat all you can eat,
and and it really is is cool. What's the biggest
cabin on that ship?
Speaker 10 (32:26):
So we have our owner's suite which is over two
thousand square Wow, has a full bar you get six
full bottles of spirits or wine.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Really, it's a pretty that's great. Is that two story
or one sort?
Speaker 10 (32:39):
One story? But it expands the whole width of the ship.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Oh wait, wait is that what? So you get port
and starboard and starboard would you call them Veranda's?
Speaker 4 (32:49):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Is that right? And how many beds come in that in.
Speaker 10 (32:52):
The big suite there's one bed is a bedroom. But
then you do have your own sitting, your living area,
dining room, a little apartment.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
See, you know, I'm short ofly, a geeky, goofy kid.
I spend a lot when I was in the cruise
with my mom in nineteen seventy seven. I got friendly
with the captain. He would let me come up and
sit with him at night and with the you know,
the crew in the what do they calling the bridge,
and he would let me steer the boat sometimes. So
I'd like to pull that into harbor if if you
(33:23):
guys are.
Speaker 7 (33:24):
Will you sell it out? I'm going to work that
out with answer.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
I wasn't we have a little stricter these days.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
I can dock that sucker. I've docked boats before. I
could pull that thing into harbor. You know, I think
you guys would be amazed, like, wow, that guy flew
right in here.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
And if you can parallel parking, yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Yeah, eighteen million dollars with a damage, get that kid
in here. All right, this is going to be a
great trip. And I don't know if Tanya, are you
going on the trip? Tanya's with travel store doors.
Speaker 11 (33:54):
And I will be on the trip.
Speaker 7 (33:56):
If you selling off.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
People, all right? Okay, then we got to sell out
enough cabins here we get updates on how many people
are interested. It's aid at one fifteen, or do you
get another update? One hundred and fifteen cabins, one hundred
and fifteen people Okay, all right, we're going on a
trip gang. We're going on a cruise to Alaska. I
appreciate you guys trusting in us that we can do this.
(34:18):

also Doris, thank you for coming in. And I look
forward to you know, next year. You know, it seems
(34:41):
like a long way aways, but it's literally thirteen months.
Speaker 10 (34:44):
It's not that far away. You want to hold your
space now because it does fill up.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Okay, and don't you know, don't let this pass you by.
You know, you get one opportunity in life to get
out there, and it's like owning a racehorse.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
I don't know what that means.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
