Conway opens the final hour with continued support for beloved board operator Stef “Foosh,” encouraging listeners to donate to his recovery at gofundme.com/f/foosh. Then, some surprising retail news—Bed, Bath & Beyond may be making a comeback, so dust off those coupons. Tim also checks in on the Granada Hills and Porter Ranch water outage, which could now stretch through the weekend, and celebrates a $1,000 GoFundMe donation from Mary Fitterer. There’s more on local crime, including a recent door-knocking incident, and a heartfelt shoutout to some of Foosh’s top donors. It's KFI AM six forty and you're listening to The
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Steph Fusch is alive. Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
You got to do a radical car crash yesterday he
made it. We found him at Hawthorne Hospital. They've done
a great job putting him back together and we have
a go fundmeme'd like to participate, You can do that.
Just go to go fund me and put in the
fush Fosh supporting Stephan the foosh through his recovery and

(00:31):
there's a lot of money there and he's going to
need it. He's going to be out of work for
a long time. I don't know what he has insurance wise,
how he's going to put his car back together, but
he's going to use every dime of this to get
back up on his feet.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
And you see, if you go to our The Conway
Show socials, you know Instagram and such so on Facebook
and all that good stuff, you can see video of
the car in flames. And usually if you ever are
I don't want to say fortunate, but if you ever
catch any visual like that when you're driving out in
the south Land and you see flames on a car
like that.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
You're like, nobody's made that.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, oh you know you're you could even hear it
in the woman's voice was recording. Yea God, I hope
people made it out alive.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
And you know, also in the socials, we've got some
still pictures of the three guys who pulled him out
of the car and essentially saved his life, and we're
trying to get id on them. So if you go
to the socials, you see him, you may know him.
Anything like that. If hey, if on the off chance
they are listeners to the station of the show, you know,
call us. Let them know to call us, and we

(01:32):
want to give them some props.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
I asked Maddie, who's one of our producers, does a
lot of great work for us. I said, can you
doctor one of those photos and put my picture on
one of those big smiley bodies. He's like, why would
I do that? Like, I don't know, might questions everything. Yeah,
it might be fun, you know, got to have some
fun in this. Gottom Fellows humor so serious about everything.

(01:55):
So he said, would not do them. So twenty and
three dollars well, Christilias donated three hundred. Whoa, it's oh.
Randy Wang donated money as well. How about that, pee
Randy who just turned forty. Recently our old bardopp producer
turned forty years old. Henk, guy's getting older.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I mean in every every small amount matters, however big,
however small. Gay pres donated twenty bucks. It's it all
adds up. Yeah, it absolutely does. All right, thank you
very much for doing that. And if you want to
see you, Robin donated. Thank you Robin and Keana two.
Oh that's sweet.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
That is just wanted to hear their names on the air.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, thanks, Robin. You could just give me a twenty
I just said your name on the air anytime.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, as a.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Matter of fact, that that invitation's always open. Lay a
twenty on meep. I'll bang that name out for you
for twenty bucks anytime.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
One of my favorite stores in the world is bed
Bath and Beyond. Some call it bed Bugs and Beyond.
I don't do that. I like it, but it might
be coming back. Everybody, bed Bath and Beyond.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
You're in bed Bath and Beyond, sir. It's not a dream.
Bed Bath and Beyond is really back.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
But wow, we're coming back with bed Bath and Beyond, but.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
With a new twist.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Oh my gosh, they coming back and they gon have
a new name, Revamp.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Come on yeah, Especial grand opening happening this morning in Nashville.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
New name, Revamp.

Speaker 8 (03:23):

That woman loves Bed Bath Beyond like Angel. I've never
seen a woman in my life love a store like
bead Bath and Beyond like Angel Martinez.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Love that place.

Speaker 9 (03:33):
How'd you guys get me on your tape doing that?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Well, you have more enthusiasm than that woman. I think
that's the only difference between the two you.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Especial Grand opening happening this morning in Nashville.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
There are lots of phone calls, lots of knocks at
the door.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Under a new name, bed Bath and Beyond Home.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Okay, well who cares? Why is that all of a sudden,
you know, the new name.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Bed Bath and Beyond home joining forces with Kirkland's Home.

Speaker 10 (03:59):
When you think back to Bed Bath and Beyond in
the past, you think of the gadget wall and.

Speaker 8 (04:03):
The towel wall.

Speaker 10 (04:04):
They didn't really have home decor and furnishing, So we've
merged those two.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
To start off, stores will be smaller.

Speaker 10 (04:11):
This is about eight thousand square feet on the selling floor,
and so we've curated the looks for you.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
And in true bed Bath and Beyond fashion, those iconic
coupons are making a comeback too.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Oh that's great.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
What was it twenty percent off? What were they angel?
You were there all the time. What were those coupons?
Twenty percent off?

Speaker 9 (04:29):
Oh? Yeah, twenty percent off? And they'd always mail them
to you. Yes, so you just take it and stash
it or pack it with you because you never know
where you're going to drop in.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
And only fools went and paid full price. That's right.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Oh, and then subsequently they went out of business because
of that, But who cares, Right, we save.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Some money for now. The company says it's seeking to
tradition honoring discounts beyond that expiration date.

Speaker 10 (04:52):
We would love to see people bring in their old coupons.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Two years ago, bed Bath and beyond. They might regret
that inspiration date.

Speaker 10 (04:59):
We would love to see people bring in their old coupons.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Really, really, what do you think costs you of the
business the first time around?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Coupons?

Speaker 10 (05:09):
We would love to see people bring in their old coupons.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna stand high alert, hanging on
to them.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah right, yeah, after five years a nightstand.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
All this time, I knew it. They're with my Circuit
City coupons.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Two years ago, Bet, Bath and Beyond close. Hundreds of
stores filing for bankruptcy following leadership shakeups, a dismal holiday
season at increasing competition.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
This is called offline shopping. It's like online shopping, but
in real life.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
An end of an era for a store known to
home Happier sad.

Speaker 11 (05:44):
It's always just been one of these institutions.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Everybody comes here for good deals.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
The evolving retail landscape and the threat from online giants
like Amazon shattering other stores too, like Party City and Joanne's.
The popular mall jewelry chain, claire Is filing for Chapter
eleven bankruptcy for the second time, just this week.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Ah, that sucks. Claire's is a great place. Kids love it,
you know, teenage or preteen kids. They love Claies.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
It's CEO calling the decision difficult but necessary. But experts
say some legacy brands like Toys, Russ and Barnes and
Noble are rewriting the comeback playbook, evolving with the times
while holding onto the magic that made them household names.
There's still room for both online and brick and mortar
shopping with a lot of these brands, but some customers

(06:28):
say it's hard to beat that in store shopping experience.

Speaker 8 (06:31):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (06:33):

out of my mouth.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Yeah, flat as hell, you know, no originality, no excitement, nothing.

Speaker 8 (06:48):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, I love that woman. Look at this, just slow
you know.

Speaker 7 (06:55):
That right there?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
That's stuff.

Speaker 8 (06:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I mean if you had to do it all of again,
would't you marry somebody really slow?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
You know, just not all there. You can sort of
get away with so much. Oh yeah, to get away
of murder literally. Yeah. Yeah, I'm going away for a while.
I'm going away from it.

Speaker 8 (07:15):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 1 (07:17):

Able to touch it and look at it.

Speaker 2 (07:36):

Speaker 2 (07:40):

Speaker 8 (07:43):
This is.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I got butterflies. A little jump there, I get butterflies.

in life.

Speaker 12 (07:56):
I just love seeing stuff and being able to touch
it and look at it.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Now, man, that's that's hot. I tell you. I know you.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
You guys think I'm bsing you, But that kind of
slowness and stupidity is something that all guys would love.

Speaker 12 (08:12):
I just love seeing stuff and being able to touch
it and look at it.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Dream woman, look like, Oh my god, go go meet

Speaker 8 (09:03):
Yeah. I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, that's love it. And but not just seeing stuff,
what else do you like?

Speaker 7 (09:10):
M Being able to touch it and look at it right.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Seeing it and look at it. She's the best can.

Speaker 7 (09:15):

AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
And you know what's coming this crypto is that big
indoor truck show. You know, they do wheelies and donuts.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Sunday Sunday Sunday. Yeah, with the five.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
It's a foural with the five and the foural five
explode like, oh, I gotta stay with there. That sounds dangerous.
I think Corolla was the guy talking about that. You know,
the old commercials. They the audience that they're talking about
going to these big what are they called truck nut
truck shows? What they called yeah, monster truck shows. Yeah,

(10:16):
but he said, the audience that's going has to be
reminded over and over where it is and when it is.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
So they go Sunday Sunday, Sunday. Okay, it's Sunday, right, Yeah, Hey,
we're drunk from their Schlitz beer.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Yeah, with a five beats the four H five with
a five and the four five explode.

Speaker 2 (10:34):

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Woman, your girlfriend, Oh my god, I dream.

Speaker 8 (10:48):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
What else do you love?

Speaker 7 (10:51):
Being able to touch it and look at it?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Oh baby, you're so great.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
All right, the water outage. Let's get an update. This
update was in about thirty minutes ago, so that's fresh
fresh water update.

Speaker 13 (11:05):
The heat isn't helping the situation For more than ninety
two hundred DWP customers in Port Ranch and Granada Hills.
The utility says their water outage may now last through
the weekend.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
How about that, You're gonna be out of water maybe
to at least Monday, or in my best estimate, and
I've been here a long time Thanksgiving Thanksgiving.

Speaker 13 (11:27):
The utility says their water outage may now last through
the weekend. Crews have been working to repair a broken
underground valve since Tuesday. The utility had hoped to finish
the repairs by today, but they've had problems accessing that valve.
People in the area are being urged not to use
their running tap water, even if it's working. Drinking water
distribution sites have been established for affected customers.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Big donation that just came in for steph USh is
go fundmeme. A woman named Mary Fitterer is that that's
really like bitter one thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
WHOA so amazing? So we're almost a twenty five thousand dollars,
twenty four four hundred and twenty three dollars.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Oh, we're gonna blow way past twenty five.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Uh, Eric Lesardo, who does you know a lot of
parody songs and things for us. He made a donation
and he he reposted the GoFundMe shot for Steps, So
thanks Eric, excellent.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah, it's it's insinsane to see this.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
You know, I have that page up on my computer here,
and when every time I look at it, I think
that's the camera that I look at him and he
looks at me and I and I look over and
I think, oh, there's Steff.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Oh no, he's not here. Okay, you're looking.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
I heard that's the exact same shot. Yeah, yeah, that
poor guy. That guy is going going to go through
a lot. We have broken ribs, broken arm. He's gonna
have to have some skin grafts, which means that he
was either burnt or you know, when I was dragged
across the pavement, he had lost some skin. And I
don't know what kind of internal injuries he's had, but
he's already had two surges and so he's going to

(13:01):
be in a lot of pain and a long road
to come back, but he'll be back.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
And thanks to you, you're gonna make it much easier.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
So thank you to everybody that donated on the GoFundMe.
You guys are really special to do that, very very
cool of you. Yes, let's talk about we've got an update. Yeah,
we got crime all right. Crime is back everybody, Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
and it seems to be hitting everybody in every town.
Crime is everywhere.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
Three masked men fleeing with duffel bags full of stolen goods.
Hell neighbors say their yard was used in this latest heist.

Speaker 8 (13:35):
This is where they jumped through.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
NBCLA obtained exclusive video inside the home of yet another
brash break in. The home owner not wanting to appear
on camera, but showing his ransacked house.

Speaker 14 (13:48):
I don't open the door for nobody no more.

Speaker 6 (13:49):
The businessman says.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I'm with him. I'm with them one hundred percent. House.

Speaker 14 (13:54):
I don't open the door for nobody no more.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Do you know what I do?

Speaker 8 (13:56):
Though?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I open the door and I keep the screen closed.
And the other day, three women and two kids knock
down the door, and I opened the door and I said, yea,
I can help you, and they're like, yeah, we would
like talking about our religion. I'm like, all right, well,
I'm in the middle of doing some stuff here. I'm
you know, six decade on this planet. I've been hitting

(14:19):
Catholicism pretty hard. Unless you've got a real, like a
tight thirty seconds that you can convince me to jump
into your religion.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
I think I'm good for a while.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
But the reason why I answered the door and I
opened it is because I heard that there are some
people walking around the neighborhood and they have kids with them,
and then they knock on your door, and then they
tell people they don't have kids with them, who's home
and who's not home, and then they come and take
all your stuff from you. So I answer the door
and at least have some contact with them to let

(14:52):
them know I'm home. I'm home. I got a burner
and I got something else that's even a little stronger
than a burner.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
So take your pit. Yeah, bug off, you're going down
one way or the other.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
That's right. And so I you know, Ski.

Speaker 8 (15:07):
Dadele, I just love seeing stuff, all right.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Well, go to another house. I gonna see a thing
here else. Yeah, go see somebody else's stuff.

Speaker 14 (15:14):
I don't open the door for nobody no more.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I'm with that guy.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
The businessman says. The thieves took jewelry, valuables and nearly
one hundred thousand dollars of cash she had in a safe.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Who's got that kind of cash on them? Who they
ran off through?

Speaker 8 (15:29):
Here?

Speaker 6 (15:29):
People from the home next door in Downey, California said
the robbers appeared disguised.

Speaker 12 (15:34):
It looked like vess like they had on they look
like Amazon workers.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
The victim telling.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
By the way, if anybody's listening and know where I
live in Burbank, I'm going to tell you there is
no reason to rob my house.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
There's no expensive jewelry. It's only my wife's wedding.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Ring that it's not worth that much, you know what
I mean? Tell her, yeah, don't tell her she's out
of town. But it's not you. I can make a
killing often old TV sets, my computers are all eight
to ten years old.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
They're not worth anything.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I keep very little cash around the house, maybe one
hundred bucks, maybe two hundred bucks, but there's no one
hundred thousand at my house. And you're gonna be met
with a tremendous amount of resistance. I'm ready to roll.
So if you come to the house, we're going to party.
We're gonna roll around a little bit and there's nothing
to steal.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
And minder, by the way, was Steph's thing on his GoFundMe.
We haven't even really mentioned the fact that you know,
he lost his car. Oh yeah, and he's on the
hustler and his other job is driving Uber that's right.
And he's got to get a car that's you know,
that's going to go towards all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
But you know, with that twenty five grand you might
be able to buy a used Uber, you know, like
that one that angel Oh toats herself around him.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Hey, what do you call it? The toaster? The toaster the.

Speaker 9 (16:53):
Toaster on wheels?

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, you can go, let's kick it cow.

Speaker 9 (16:58):
You know what was really interesting about that video with
Fushi's car on fire is that the person that was
filming it was riding in the back of an Uber
lift or something.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah, you're probably right. I think that driver, right right,
was lift or Uber? Yeah, and she was. She gave
a comment, I just love seeing stuff. Yeah, well, like
a guy's burning in their car. What's wrong with you?

Speaker 8 (17:24):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
How dare you?

Speaker 11 (17:27):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
An update on the go fundme. Actually, we're doing two
go fundmes. The first one is help Conway reach his
dream of buying a racehorse, and that's not getting a
lot of action, so I guess we'll stick with Steph Fusch's.
But Steph fush has an unbelievable amount of people who
love him and want to support him and want to
see him back up on his feet again. When we

(17:55):
when we started the show, Kiki, what was the number
when we started the show?

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Was it a two thousand? Do you remember?

Speaker 5 (18:01):
It was around five hundred dollars, five hundred dollars. But
as soon as the first segment, the first you know,
time we talked about this, it went up to like
five thousand immediately. And it's been up for maybe four
hours now and we're already at twenty six thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Twenty six three seven three is what I'm reading here.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Just small or large donate.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
The recent donations came from Joshua Warner, Ryan Lee, Julie
mort Sidney Morgan, Michael Archer, and then we got like
another big five hundred dollars that I saw. I mean,
people are just being incredibly generous.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Charlotte Aspen, which is a great name. Charlotte Aspen. I
love that first name and last name. And do we
have some audio from Charlotte?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Is that?

Speaker 8 (18:53):
Is? That? Is that?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Charlotte?

Speaker 8 (18:54):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Ah, she's the best.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
She donated five hundred. Richard Anderson did the same thing
not that.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Long ago, and Norah Oakley five hundred dollars and that's
you know, that's money that they earned or you know,
invested in and and could have spent on themselves, and
they decided to help our own steph Fushout, Daniel Bolt, Danielle,
I should say.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
And she was great. She was with San Bernardino right
Shafess apartment.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Man, she's the one that got us in that chopper
at Farrell's.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah, and when she was there, she ran the show.
Yes she did. She probably.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
She's not the tallest woman I've ever met, but she
is the the most not the loudest, but the strictest.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
When people break rules, she makes up for it an attitude.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Oh yeah, yeah, you break rule around her and I
don't give it. Sorry, you get sorry. I don't care
how about that. I don't care if you're friends with her,
if you're married to her, if your a brother is
sister of hers. You do wrong in front of her,
she's gonna light you up. She is not into rule

(20:07):
breakers at all, but she's an awesome lady. Justin Crowe
five hundred bucks are owned, Tim Lynn five hundred dollars,
Ryan Lee three hundred, Cindy Morgan and Pamela Chris Slias.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Maybe that's right or wrong. I hope that's right.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Bruno Serrado three hundred dollars, and Bruno Serrado's charity donated
five hundred, so eight hundred dollars for Bruno and his.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Charity, and Silvano did as well from the charity as
well another five That is unbelievable.

Speaker 9 (20:41):
So how about a huge shout out to all of
the anonymous donors.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Yes, you're welcome.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
I have one name in here that's really interesting. I
saw that. I don't know if it is Jim J.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Bullock. Oh, it's got to be Jim J. Bowles two
hundred bucks. Wow, Jim J. Bullock.

Speaker 9 (20:58):
I tell you.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
I met.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I was on a working on a TV show called
Boogie's Diner, and I had to fly from Los Angeles
to Toronto in the winter of nineteen ninety four. You know,
we just had the earthquake. I left a couple days later.
It was seventy eight degrees when I left LA. When
I got to Toronto, it was seventeen below zero. They
had an awful winner, and I remember getting in a

(21:24):
van to go to the set the next day to
find out, you know how we can improve Boogie's diner,
and I hear a voice. I'd flown all night. I
hadn't slept in two days. The earthquake rattled me and
I get in the front seat. I hear from the
back seat it was a passenger van, and I hear
from the back are.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
You a night bird or a morning owl? And I
turned around. It's Jim J. Bullock.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
That's my very first contact with him. But the smartest,
funniest guy you've ever met in your life is Jim J.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Bullock.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Very well read, very passionate, and unbelievable actor and one
of the funniest men in the world.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Maybe some of the stuff that was written for him.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Wasn't that funny, but his improv his style, his stand
up comedy, He's one of the sharpest minds in all
of Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I remember watching him on TV and I always thought
he had that sort of attitude where, like you say,
the lines whatever they are, he had a great ability
to kind of give you that side wink, you know,
without giving you the side wing.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yeah, he's the best. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
And I know he lives out in the Palm Springs
area and he's a good man.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
I like that guy, Jim Jay. Awesome. Thanks for the donation, brother, Yes,
thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
So let's do it real quickly the water outage. We
have time for this, I think, well, let's squeeze it in.
It's a short one. I think it's longer than the
water we started. Let's just brow the tail end of
it here.

Speaker 13 (22:49):
How the utility says their water outage may now last
through the weekend. Crews have been working to repair a
broken underground valve since Tuesday. The utility had hoped to
finish the pairs by today, but they've had problems accessing
that valve. People in the area are being urged not
to use their running taps.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Okay, so we think it's going to be Monday at
the earliest.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
Monday.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
LOOKI mat Canyon fire update for all you people live.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Out in Santa Clarita and the case Lake cast steak
that area. You're going to want to know the update
on this fire, and we're also going to we'll tell
you oha much acridge that they've used. And also we've
got to always tell you. Watch Duty is the app
WATC watch new word duty Duty. It is going to

(23:37):
be your friend when there's a fire near you. Watch
Duty is the greatest app in the world when it
comes to warning you about fires in your area.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
I don't know how they do it, but they have.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Man they update all the time that fires at five
three hundred and seventy acres unreal.

Speaker 11 (23:57):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
All right, the Canyon fire. Alex Stone was out there.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
He's always on with us, Alex Stone, and he was
out there reporting live for ABC on this crazy fire,
the Canyon fire.

Speaker 15 (24:12):
The firefighters sated. They feel like that they've had a
very successful day today, even though conditions have been very hot,
it's been a little bit breezy, it's been very dry,
but they've been able to really battle back the flames.
We've been watching a crews coming in today. Strike teams
that have come in. We've seen La City, La County
fire and they've really had a chance with the commer
flames to go after what is still burning and to

(24:34):
try to dampen those flames out, and they've had a
lot of success. They are worried about tonight though, that
they expected to be almost identical the last night, and
we know last night the flames were raging. Well, to
show you around this property down has a canyon here,
that this was a World War Two era out building
a shed behind this home and the homeowner telling us

(24:54):
that the flames came through here in about ten minutes
completely wipe this out. But then look at the home
right next door, completely untouched. And he was telling us
a moment ago that this is a result of firefighters
really putting up a stand here, that the trees were going.
He says it was quite active last night that they
were able to save this home.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Alex Stone with ABC News, all right, and then we
also have the Trump administration is in the news again
with UCLA. Evidently, you know UCLA was you know, not
you know, listening to the complaints of Jewish students and
Israeli students on campus and now they're facing a tremendous fine.

(25:38):
But you have to remember if UCLA is fined the
billion dollars that the Trump administer. Trump administration wants it
all comes from us. That's a public university U see
University California, Los Angeles u CLA. That money would all
be coming from us. This fine is unbelievable.

Speaker 16 (25:58):
The Trump administration calling on UCLA to pay more than
one billion dollars to settle allegations of civil rights violations.
The administration claims that UCLA violated the rights of Jewish
and Israeli students by failing to respond to complaints of
harassment and abuse. Now, under the government's demands, UCLA would
pay the billion dollars over time and create one hundred

(26:20):
and seventy two million dollar claims fund for people impacted
by employment discrimination. UCLA released a statement saying a payment
of that scale would quote completely devastate our country's greatest
public university system, as well as inflict great harm on
our students and all Californians.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
They just can't afford that kind of fine real quickly.
We've promised, we'd talked about the crime in La Puente.
There's been a robbery thirty thousand dollars worth of well material.

Speaker 17 (26:54):
From viral sensation to smash and grab target. These laboo
boos are popular with people of all ages. In fact,
we were checking online.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Kiki you have la boo boos? Heck no, no, wow,
that was almost violent? Yeah what what is? What are labuobus?
They're just like little dolls.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
Toy keychain doll thing and you don't collect those, no, right,
I gotta get into them.

Speaker 17 (27:20):
And some of the rare ones or limited edition ones
like this one, they can go for hundreds of dollars each.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Are they small.

Speaker 8 (27:28):
Ish?

Speaker 5 (27:28):
Yeah, they're like like a Beanie baby size.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Oh I see, okay, all right, so they're eights inches
tiny laboo boos.

Speaker 17 (27:36):
And the owner of this store in Laquin that believes
that her laboob was with the target of thieves who
broke into her store early Wednesday morning.

Speaker 7 (27:43):
Were you on do.

Speaker 18 (27:44):
TikTok lives and we're on Instagram so people know we're here.
I just had a feeling to wake up, you know,
and check my phone. Once I check my phone, they
were birdy gonna enter the store, so I witness everything
life when they were in here robbing the stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
You know, I think that that's a good rule of thumb.
When you wake up early, you got to check your laboos.
I think, I don't know, maybe I'm on the planet
on Mars here it is your duty.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
That's right.

Speaker 17 (28:09):
Joanna Van Donald says she called the sheriff's apartment as
she was watching at least four people inside of her
shop through her surveillance canvas. She says deputies took about
fifteen minutes to get here, but by the time they
got here, the thieves had gotten away.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Oh with her labuobos.

Speaker 8 (28:25):
They are aiming just for the labubos.

Speaker 18 (28:27):
Do everything that was more expensive because hash I didn't
have any pass.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
I just don't get that stuff, collecting stuff like that. Yeah,
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
I don't get it, you know. I mean, look, you
want a woman like this.

Speaker 8 (28:42):
I just love seeing stuff.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
She's not into labubus. She's a good old gal. She'll
be at that Monster Truck show.

Speaker 12 (28:49):
I just love seeing stuff and being able to touch
it and look at it.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
That's right, all right?

Speaker 1 (28:54):
What a week, croch unbelievable, you know, I mean we
will literally, I mean, you know, we joke about it,
and we obviously tried to keep it light.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
But we almost lost Steph Fosh this week.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah, it's every once in a while it kind of
that that realization kind of hits you, and it does,
it hits you hard.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
I were more than a few times today when I.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Was like, I'm with you, and I don't know what
we would have done, you know, I mean when you
if we've got you know, I don't want to, you know,
talk about it but in great detail. But if we
if anything had happened to him like that, we lost
that that guy. He's a big part of the show
in the station.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Everybody, especially in southern California, you know, been saying that
we all experience seeing accidents and seeing bad accidents, sure,
whether we see them in person or see them on TV,
or we hear about them.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
But when it's somebody.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
That you know that is this affected, it really sets
it in because it's easy to kind of have that
distance from it and go, Man, that sucks.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Hate to be that guy. You know what's amazing.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
When I was at Hawthorne last night went to see
Steph Foosh's dad, were all looking for this guy. When
I drove back to the burbank, I was on the
exact same interchange one oh five east bound of the
one ten northbound.

Speaker 8 (30:09):
I was.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
I was.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
I literally drove past where his car was on fire,
and you didn't know that at the not at all.
I didn't notice any difference, and you know, I didn't
know the accident had happened. And it's odd, I mean,
but it also makes you realize how close everybody is
to buying it.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
So when you were with his dad last night, did
were you there when you they found out? Where he
found out? So you left not still not knowing what
had happened.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
When I left, I was going to call or I
called LAPD, and his mom was going to call Burbank
Police Department. He was going to call Hawthorne Police Department
and put out a missing persons And I was.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Thinking about that, but it's like, I don't know how
that works. As far as you know, you always hear
it's twenty four hours because it's an adult, right, But
if it's do they do an initial search before they
say we're not putting out wells persons.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
I had called the non emergency line, not LAPD. I
called another you know police, you know, outfit, and I
started filling out a you know, verbally they missing persons,
and they wanted me to do that in person, and
then when I did it, they they wouldn't. They wanted
me to come in to like prove that he was
alive or to you know, or to have a signature

(31:20):
taking it off where where they weren't looking for him anymore.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
And it's very complicated too.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
When somebody who's thirty six doesn't show up from work,
there's not a lot of great panic outside of the
people who know him and love him, right, you know,
they're just like, oh, okay, here's you know, he he's
an adult. You know, he didn't show up. You know,
let's wait for a little while.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
You mentioned before.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
I was really fascinated yesterday because we all had a concern,
but you know, it's that calm concern.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
You're like, oh, I hope it's okay.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Petros was the only one that was really walking through
the halls like vocal about it, like it's like no, yea, no.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
He was like, Wow, he really showed a tremendous amount
of concern for that kid.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Latest donations as small is you know, rich Rowando Salas
are seven dollars an anonymous two hundred dollars names that
again I recognize as listeners of ours. Christopher Berry sixty
four dollars, which is really cool and like you said,
the largest one, one thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I wish it's times like this.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
I really wish most I had more money.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yeah, right, no, no, I know, I know, and it's
but but man, let's give a total here before we
take off. This is the the GoFundMe for Steph Fuje
that was started earlier today and we thought it would
be five or six hundred bucks by the time we split.
And right now, Kiki, if I'm right, twenty seven thousand

(32:41):
and seven thirty nine, Yep, you are correct. Wow, almost
thirty thousand dollars. Don't forget to channel to watch Channel
five tonight at ten o'clock, so three hours from now,
Channel five they're going to do a piece on Steph
fush which I thought was really cool of them to
stop buying. And Rick Chambers stomp By, he's a great guy.

(33:02):
Great a couple other things again.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
At Conway Show all the socials, we had video of
the car in flames. Yeah, got pictures of the of
the three good Smaritans who pulled him out of the car.
It saved his life and we do need help identifying them.
So we can give him a proper thank you, and
again gofund me dot com just search for foosh f
O O.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
S H excellent.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
All right, interesting tough week, but the people who listen
to the station, man, you came to bat today and
really helped this kid out. He's going to need a
lot of help. So thank you, thank you, thank you,
thank you. Mo Kelly is up next. Don't forgetting the
nine o'clock hour tonight on mo Kelly's show, giving out,
or somebody could win a I think he has three

(33:43):
dollars certificates to the White House Restaurant and that is
gonna be sensational. All right, mo Kelly and his whole
crew next right here on kf I AM six forty
Conway Show, on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Now you
can always hear us live on kf I AM six
forty four to seven Pmnday through Friday, and anytime on
