Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI Am sixty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
The iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Philadelphia scored a run in the top of the seventh
and they're leading the Dodgers one nothing at Dodgers Stadium.
Two outs, two pitch to Trey Turner and.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Foul ball.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
All right, we're gonna have a weather update moments from now,
but first we've got to check in on our little buddy,
ladies and gentlemen. Who has been quite a two month
period for this young man. His name is Steph Fusche.
He was missing one day, cut into a radical car accident.

(00:41):
He's been through multiple surgeries, I think nine. And the
Dodgers retire the side. Sorry, So the Dodgers are going
to the bottom of the seventh down one nothing because
of an error, I believe. All right, So Steph fushe
had a horrible accident. Three or four guys and a
gal saved his life, pulled him from a burning car.

(01:03):
We didn't know he was gone. We didn't know where
he was for about eight hours. We finally found him
at a hospital. He was listed under John Doe. He's
had nine surgeries. He's on the men this station put
together a GoFundMe for him, and you listeners raised a
ton of money to make this guy's life easier and
we can never thank you enough for them. And now

(01:24):
he's with us for an update. Ladies and gentlemen, steph
uh stephush hi you.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Bub hello, Hello, Hello, hello.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Hello man. It's so nice to hear your voice.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
You know, there's two sets, there's two different mindsets when
somebody gets injured. Mine is leave them alone and try
to let them get better. And a lot of people
want to call you and text you every day to
ask how you are.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Which do you prefer?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
You know what, I kind of liked the fact that
you leave me alone.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah, you're trying to get better, right, yeah, And you
don't want to tell the same story over and over
and over and over again. And so I made a
conscious effort by saying, I'm gonna let this guy heal
and when he gets better, he always does a job here.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
So give us an update. How many surgeries did you
end up with so far?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
So it's been nine, wow, And I'm trying to just
recover and I just do my own kind of therapy
for my left hand, and you know, just trying to
get stronger.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
That's that's kind of where I've been.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Now, are you left handed or right handed?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
That's that's unfortunate part. I'm left hand.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh that's horrible.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'm sure your mom and dad have been been in
contact with you every day, probably suffocating you because they
have a new lease on life that they have their son.
You know, there's a highway patrol that stopped by that
accident and they just wrote that the person in that
car was probably deceased.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
No, I mean my every time my mom talks about like,
oh she thought it was going to be a.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
John Doe and that was the end of it.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Wow, you know, but I you know, she gets to talk.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
To me every single day.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
That's that's the part that's hard.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
All right.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
So are you what kind of pain are you in?
Like a scale of one to ten?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
No, no pain right now. It's just a matter of
trying to get uh movement.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
For my arm. So I'm like at a like too.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Oh, okay, that's not bad, you know, Yeah, I mean,
that's that's that's terrific. You know a lot of people
when when they go through something like this, uh, you know,
they're they're in pain for the rest of their life.
So that is great that they were able to knock
that out for you.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
So what is it?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Are there any other parts of you that are are
banged up? I know you had ribs that were ractured
or broken.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Oh the ribs that that got like fixed right away.
So now I'm just trying to get my legs fixed
because I had to do his skin craft for a
left side for my left arm. So that's what's getting
fixed right now.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Did you get the word that I was willing to
donate some of my skin. I hope that got to you.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
No, I didn't get that one.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Damn it, BELLYO.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I told you to tell this guy's offer him some skin,
all right, So the legs have to heal because that's
where the skin came from.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
And and what what kind of movement you have with
your left arm?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Are you able to open and close your hand?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So I can. I just can't make a I can't
make a fist.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
So I can move my arm left and right, but I.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Can't I can't you know, I can't grip stuff the
part that I'm working on right now.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Can you can you do a thumbs up.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
No, I can't.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Oh that sucks. That's that's a half of life. It's
just giving people thumbs up. N he yeah you don't
not good man?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Good thanks?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So when do you when do the when did the doctor?
Are you gonna have any more surgeries?

Speaker 3 (05:27):
No? More surgeries?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
But I got a couple more checkups. Actually I have
another one going on tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Okay, another check checkup? Did they did they give you
any word on when you could come back to work?
Is it soon? Is it months?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
I don't know because they keep I mean my left
arm unfortunately, it's still an open wound.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
So that's the dangerous part of it, because I can't
go anywhere and I can't even you know, not to
be you know, t M. I I can't shower.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Oh is that right? Okay?

Speaker 5 (06:05):
All right, yeah, yeah, you know, being left handed, I
would think the shower is secondary.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Maybe his mother activities.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah, yeah, like gardening. Kurd is always into cooking. Yeah,
that's fine. What happened to that hot girlfriend you have
when you wiped out? Is she still around?

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yo? She's still around?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Wait? All right, that's cool? Yeah, and I.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
And she still shakes up on me.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
So it's okay, okay, all right, that's cool. And so
what do you do all day? You just sit around?
Or do you have to work out? You have to
be in therapy.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
It's a lot of Netflix and a lot of rewrapping,
a lot of my bandages.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Oh, importunate, it's unexciting.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
And then as your dad made the pasta, your favorite pasta, No.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
We're gonna do that once I can one second shower.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
I think he's gonna do it, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
And then so a lot of door dash, I imagine.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Oh it's a lot of door dash.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, yeah, a lot of food, a lot of rappers,
and just as.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
A lot of yeah, a lot of a lot of delivery.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Right, all right, buddy, I we all missed you around here.
We want to do the update on the air, and
I'm glad you're you said yes because I can't tell
you how many people text email d m us and
get in contact with us asking about you every single
day it happens.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I appreciate all of that, like I can't. I still
can't get in my mind around that.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's it's so it's so it's so humbling, you know,
it brings the short in my eye, so I'm just
really glad that people are so I want.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
To know how I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Right, And when you are better, we'll go to Santa
Anita and we'll double some of.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
That dough that you got.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Let's do it, all right, all.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Right, buddy, we missed you around here and we can't
wait to see again. Alrighty, you're the best, Bob. All right, man,
nice to see you. Take care.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I was gonna give him high five, but give him
some skin. Yeah, give some scan. Look he does need some.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, uh that's great, but that it truly is an offer.
I called the hospital and left uh my number and said,
if he does need skin, I'll give him some. Uh yeah,
I hope it was the right hospital. I just called
and I found a hospital.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
They're all connected.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
That's right, they'll find him. But that's great.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I hope he comes back soon. But I can imagine
the pain and what kind of you know, life shocking
and traumatic moment that was.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Oh, i'd be the worst.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
But he's young kid. He's gonna bounce back and we'll
see him here shortly. Keep your head man, yep, keep.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Your head up.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
We will be back with a weather update, also a
Dodger update, both of those for you.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
Next you're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Don't forget.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
We made the huge announcement yesterday that the Morongo Party
is on for next Saturday, October eighteenth, and if you
want to get tickets, it's not too late. You could
still throw your name in there and potentially get two
tickets for the big party two, one for you and

(09:29):
one for whoever whatever dope you bring.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
And I say that.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
With with love, you know, And that's a compliment, you know,
a nice to see it dopes.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
So here's what you do.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
You go to KFI AM six forty dot com slash
Promotions KFI AM sixty dot com slash Promotions, and you
can sign up and get yourself two beautiful tickets and
we'll see you down there potentially next Saturday, a week

(10:02):
from the day after tomorrow. So we're seven eight nine
days out. Oh, it's gonna be great, all right. Weather
time with Dallas rains. An update from the stadium. First
bases loaded for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Two outs in
the bottom of the seventh They just intentionally walked Otani
and Mookie beds Is up at back.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
And we will give you the weather. Dig Dong dig doong.
We weather this weather so I can watch the game.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
We were looking at the possibility of Priscilla coming up
for a little visit, and the moisture from Priscilla is
producing rain and thunder story where we've had a lightning
strike out there at Rialto that's the only one that's
occurred in the La Basin, But if you're out in
the desert areas, a flash flood watch is an effect
through later tomorrow night. That's Habasous City, our friends and

(10:56):
viewers out there, all the way down into Arizona. Lightning
strikes occurrent. We had a big thunderstorm down around the
Salt and Sea earlier today and tonight. You can see
that action coming right out of the south if you're
viewing from the Crestline area. We've had video from there
already today. Rain and there is some lightning with that.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Not very much at this.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
Moment, and that's just about the extent of it as
far as the La Basin is concerned.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Now.

Speaker 7 (11:23):
Once we get into the desert, we do have more showers.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
All right.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Are you gotta listen to this?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
If you're in the desert, flash flooding possibilities and thunderstorm.

Speaker 7 (11:30):
Here's a seven day forecasts, and tomorrow night everything will end,
cause start to clear for the weekend. Clear temperature of
seventy eight seventy seven.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Okay, all right, let me tell you if you're in
the desert, you really have to be aware of this
because you could. Flash flooding happens well in a flash.
That's why they call it that. So let me see
what time it is. It's five twenty five, all right,
we put this on five twenty five, five point thirty.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Okay, So this storm is now this painting.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
It's still hugging the fifteen freeway all the way to Barstow.
So if you're going to Barstow, you're going to Las
Vegas all the way. And the Dodgers just scored. The
Dodgers just got a walk with bases loaded.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
To tie this game.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Yeah, won bases loaded the bottom of the seven two outs,
and they walked intentionally walked Otani to get to Mookie Bets.
And then they walk Mookie Bets with bases loaded. What
screw up? Oh that's the worst, the worst man. When
you're a pitcher and you give up a run on

(12:37):
a basis loaded walk. Everybody is making fun of you.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Well, they took a chance because Otani by walking Otani,
he was one for seventeen this post.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Season, so making seventy million a year.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
That was a seventy million dollars hit that he did.
It wasn't a home run, right, It was just like.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
His first at bat, yeah right, yeah, But he does
also have a win as a pitcher, so you got
to get him that, all right, and he'll pitch Game
five if it goes back to Philly on Saturday. But
now the Dodgers have tied it, so if anything happens here,
the pressure's on Philly. In the next two innings, they've
got only two at bat's left. It's the bottom of

(13:20):
the seventh. Tioscar Hernandez is up and we'll see we'll
see a check swing for a strike one and one.
All right, we got to take a break, unfortunately, but
maybe when we come back, we'll have some good Dodger
news for you. Bottom of the seventh, base is loaded,

(13:42):
ta Oskar Hernandez up. Count is one and one and
before we hand it over to Krozier, strike so one
and two.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM sixty.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
And the Phillies are tied at one, And was that?
Did they already go through the top of the ending
that quickly?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Are we at the bottom of the eighth? They went?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
So when we went to commercial break, the Dodgers were
still at bat. And when we came back, the Dodgers
are going to be at bat again. Either that was
a really quick one two three inning, or we're playing
a lot of spots on the station. Maybe it's combo,
possibly right, Tony, that's right, he's shaking his head. Its

(14:30):
Fagot's radio, all right. So the Dodgers are coming up.
It's tied one to one. Very tense at Dodgers Stadium.
The Dodgers do not want to go back to Philadelphia
to have to play the Phillies in that loud stadium
with you know, sixty thousand fans in Philadelphia. Man, that'd

(14:54):
be tough to win. Even though Tani would be pitching.
It's it's still a very tough place to win. I
know the Dodgers already did twice this week.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
I get that.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I get that, but still Game five, the fans would
be super pumped, the city would be pumped, everybody be pumped,
and the Dodgers would have to go in there and
win a hell of a game. And even though a
Tany's pitching, that would be a very difficult game to win.
So they've got to win it tonight. They've got to.
They have two more at bats unless we go to

(15:25):
extra innings. Phillies have one more at bat. So this
could end up with a Freddie Freeman walk off Homer.
It's happened before. How great would that be if we
you know, you could walk the Phillies off, that'd be great.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
All right, We're gonna keep an eye on that.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
I know a lot of people are probably watching the game,
and but for people who are in their car and
and you can't find the game on the on the dial, we'll, we'll, we'll,
we'll keep you up the date on what's going on.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
All right.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Speaking of Dodgers, remember that Dodger dog that was at
the stadium. His name is Bella Blue. He was the
dog in the stands. He's back, and I give this
guy a break. I give the guy who has this
Dodger dog a break. Usually I'm anti dog anywhere other
than your house or a dog park. I like to
see dogs in restaurants or at supermarkets. I just not

(16:21):
into it, you know. I know a lot of dogs
are clean, they're nice, they're great. I was at the
Burbank mall the other day. This is a true story, Bellio,
We'm about to tell you. I'm at the Burbank mall
the other day and there are there's a dog sitting
in a woman's lap, and she's eating next to me.
She's at the table next to me, and she's with
another guy. So it's a couple with her dog. And

(16:42):
then a guy walks to dogs. I think they're both shihuahuas,
and he walks past the table with the couple with
the dog. The dog jumps down off the woman's lap,
and the three dogs are fighting.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
In the mall. There fighting.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Sure, I'm trying to eat my meal in the mall,
and all of a sudden, I'm at a dog fight.
I'm at a what's the guy's name, Vic Michael, Michael Vick,
I'm at Michael Vick's house. I thought I was at
the Burbank mall, and I'm now I'm into it. I'm
in the middle of a dog fight and they're fighting.

(17:22):
They're clawing, scratching, barking, biting each other, and I'm trying
to eat my meal. I'm in a dog fight. So
no dogs at the at the mall, but Dodger Stadium.
I'll give this guy a break because that is the
Dodger dog. He's a big fan of the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Give me a break.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
I wouldn't give you a break if you brought your
dog to the Dodger game.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I'd be like, what I brought that dog? Yeah, you
can bring that dog. That's the only dog. A service dog.
It is a service dog for who the guy? What's
his condition? Loneliness? Apparently? No, I want to be seen,
this Dodger fan.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Having to be seen this nick at me, be nice,
look at mess be nice.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I am being nice. But I do like that dog.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
But that's the only dog they should allow in that
stadium at the Dodger bella blue?

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Is that dog's bella blue?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Bella blue? Let's find out what's bella Blue's going on
with here.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
The Phillies, though, aren't ready to pack it up. They've
won sixty three games this season when out hitting.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Up, Wait is this bella blue? Let let me see
if you write the audio here, man, what's going on here?

Speaker 8 (18:32):
They've won sixty three games this season when out hitting opponents,
and they'll need that to happen tonight to stay alive.
But Dodger fans are predicting a sweep and of course
hoping for lots of home runs.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Where's the part with the dog.

Speaker 9 (18:46):
I mean, that's what it's all about, the magic.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
It's the owner of the dog.

Speaker 9 (18:49):
I mean, that's what it's all about. The magic when
you hear that crack and you just know it's gone.
I don't care which nine in the lineup is up
the bat. Each one individually can hit a home run
at anytime. And that's the coolest thing.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
You know.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
He's right.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
When I was a Dodger fan growing up, when it
got to the bottom of the order, you know, like
the sixth, seventh, eighth, and or the seventh, eighth and
ninth pitcher and the ninth pitcher was the ninth batter
was the picture. The seventh, eighth and ninth batter were horrible.
I mean it was just like, you know, go get
a beer, go get a hot dog. You know, it
was just the worst. The Dodgers don't have that every

(19:22):
single guy that comes to back and sting you on
the Dodgers, and the picture no longer bats, which is
great because that was the time to go take a
leak or get a beer when the picture comes up,
because he'd be like one for fifty eight.

Speaker 8 (19:35):
You may recognize a familiar face in the stands for
tonight's game.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
No, who is it?

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Is it? A? Is it?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Dick van Dyke?

Speaker 3 (19:42):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Is it? Jim Nighbors? Is it? Uh?

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Jay Leno? Who is it? Serving as a good luck chart?
It's a dream come true. It's a blessing.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
We're here for all the Dodger fans to put a
smile and bring the energy and vibes to the stadium.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, it's Bella Blue and also be there good luck charm.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
Bella Blue started coming to games with her owner, a
lifelong Dodgers fan who relies on her as a service dog.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Okay, so it is a service dog. Got to give
them a break.

Speaker 8 (20:11):
But it didn't take long before she became a fan favorite,
sitting in the stands with her shades on, cheering on.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
The boys in blue.

Speaker 8 (20:19):
We go with the dog has glasses cheering on the
boys in blue.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
We go with the flow.

Speaker 10 (20:23):
We just take pictures and whatever happens happens.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
And this happens so organically.

Speaker 10 (20:29):
I thought we were just on the jumbo tron and
next thing you know, we're all over kt LA, ABC, KFI,
Yahoo Sports, ESPN.

Speaker 8 (20:40):
Ella, we're gonna win it all.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah, yes we are. She's like, yeah, this is a
dog standing a furniture.

Speaker 8 (20:47):
Hell, we're gonna win it all.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yeah, yes we are. She's like, yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:52):
So, whether you're here for baseball tradition or yes, even
a dog in the stands, this is the kind of
night that has officially started again. If the Dodgers win,
they advanced to the National Championship Series for the second
year in a row. I'd say that's pretty impressive in itself.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
It is very impressive. Yeah, that is good news.

Speaker 8 (21:12):
But of course everyone here hoping for that sweep.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
I'll send it back to you in Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
And I don't know if you the listeners follow baseball
closely or not, but here's some news for you. May
not have heard. The Yankees have been eliminated. How about that,
So it's not gonna be Dodgers Yankees in the World Series.
The Yankees are out. They were eliminated by the Toronto
Blue Jays and they are done. That is a team
that'll probably start rebuilding next year. They need a lot

(21:39):
more pitching, they might trade some players. They might go
into a four or five year rebuild. I know they
don't like to do that, but that's my prediction for
the Yankees. But the Yankees haven't won a World Series
since two thousand and nine, you know, I mean that's
a long drought for the Yankees. They used to win
like every you know, two or three times a decade.
Haven't won since two thousand and nine. So they can't

(22:00):
win un till twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
So what is that?

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Seventeen years without a World Series victory. That's a long
time in the in the Bronx, long time. All right,
we're gonna take a break. Welcome back, Dodgers. Have they've
they've gotten out of the bottom of the eighth, So
now we're going to the ninth inning, tied it one
to one man.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
This is exciting. This is very, very exciting baseball.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
Am six forty.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
We've got rain in the desert.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
It's all gonna be gone tonight, So if you don't
get nailed by tonight, you're going to a pretty good
shot of being dry for the weekend. And then next
next week we've got storms coming in. We've got I
think it's I think it was Tuesday, Yes, yes, yes, yes,
Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, the fourteenth and fifteenth
start around three o'clock, four o'clock, four pm until eleven

(22:57):
pm on Tuesday in San Fernanza Valley. Hours might differ
from wherever you are, and then into the night. So
starting late afternoon Tuesday into early morning hours on Wednesday,
looks like not a huge amount of rain, a total
of probably close to three quarters of an inch for

(23:18):
the whole storm, maybe an inch, maybe two inches in
the mountains.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
But you know what it's like.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
You've seen these roads being washed out and homes being
washed away when we get very little rain, so be
aware of them. The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming to BAP,
so we're a little distracted here because we are the
home of the Los Angeles Dodgers. On our sister station.

(23:42):
It's one to one in the bottom of the ninth.
This game could end with one swing, one swing series.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
The whole series.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
You're right.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yeah, I'm sorry the series and also my life could
end with Once a Way if it's from Philadelphia. But
the problem here, Croz and I don't know how to
ask Colin this, But Colin next door in the Dodger
station is getting this game about forty seconds.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Before we are.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, And so I want to ask him not to
scream if the top, if the top, that's not happening,
because he's a huge fan and he should be too,
you know, him and Kate's and Bassay Max Munsey just
flying out to deep center field almost warning track on
the center field and if that had twelve more feet.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Oh my god, that Philly's picture is ugly.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
That sounds like I'm having it.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Sounds like I'm watching with my wife. She's commenting on
on physical features and uniforms, and dude.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Wouldn't hit by the ugly every branch on the way down.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
The tree just hating on the phil right now.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah, look, I don't know what we can say right now.
There's no news. Yeah, there's no news we can give
you right now that's going to top this. This is
the Dodgers in the bottom of the ninth tied one
to one at Dodgers Stadium.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Belly, are we able to play the audio?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Would just flip on the TV audio and simulcastas we
can't do that.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
No, I've done that in the past. Yeah, And how'd
that go? Sued for twenty four million? And what did
you learn? Because you're asking me, it means you didn't
really learn a lesson.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Well, if you don't ask, you made an ask out
of you and me? What was that stupid saying you
always use?

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Soe?

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Man?

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Okay? So who's it?

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Bad? Is it?

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Hernandez? Is it the.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Key? K? Hernandez? Who's up?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
I can't toe's up? Yeah? E?

Speaker 5 (25:48):
The other Hernandez?

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Oh okay the other?

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Okay, all right, so man, oh, and this is so tense.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
You know, they're doing a live shot from KTLA right
now on at Dodger Stadium. There's not a single person
leaving this game. There's fifty thousand or fifty four thousand
people there. And you know, normally at this time at
five point fifty two and in the ninth inning, you'll
see one or two people leave to try to get
in the car. Nobody is leaving right now. Nobody is

(26:19):
doing an Angel Martinez. That's do you want to tell
that story? You want to tell that story? While we
watched the game.

Speaker 11 (26:29):
Okay, when when was it? What eighty eight in nineteen
eighty eight, when Kirk Gibson hit that that what was it?

Speaker 1 (26:40):
I'm a ninth home run against It was two outs,
man on down three to two in the bottom.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Of the ninth.

Speaker 11 (26:48):
Yeah, So he was at bat and you know, the
place was just on fire, and all I could think
about was getting the h out of there before.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
To beat all the traffic.

Speaker 11 (26:59):
So I told my friends, I'm like, hey, let's scram
So we're running up the stairs and we get to
the very top. As soon as we hit the top,
you just hear that crack pop and I turn around
and everybody's on their feet. Everybody's screaming. I see him
rounding second and pomping that fist, and what do I do.

(27:22):
I'm like, hurry, Let's get to the car so we
can listen to.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
The rest of all.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Right.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
You know, I love the shot there where you know,
the TV camera follows the ball going over the right
field fence and all you see is parking lights in
the background.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
You like, see you here?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
You see some guy step on their break and you
know he's yelling at the guy who convinced them to leave.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
You peace at you.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
This is the greatest hit in the history of this game.
And we're in the car to save ten minutes to
get home.

Speaker 9 (27:52):
Yeah, I'm that friend.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Yeah, that is right, that's Angel Martinez.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
All right.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
We're down to Paz and.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
It's two outs, two pitch, tied one one, and the
Dodgers if they don't score here, we're going to extras.
And they don't put a man on second on extra
innings in the playoffs, you got to earn that run,
which is great.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
I think that's a better rule anyway. So, oh, did
he hit a home run?

Speaker 3 (28:24):
No?

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Oh my god, everyone stood up like you did.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
All right, we're going to extras, extra innings at Dodger Stadium.
A sellout crowd at Dodger Stadium. It's time for Dodger baseball.
And this will be fun to watch extra innings Dodger Stadium.
Oh man, I am nervous as hell, and so are
all the guys at the Dodger station. They're all just,

(28:51):
you know, curled up in a ball with the nerves
because it's a big deal. You know, you grow up
a Dodger fam. My very first game was nineteen sixty nine.
I went with my dad and my two brothers and
my sister and my very first game.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
And you remember your first game.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I remember my first hockey game, my first basketball game,
my first you know, a baseball game, my first time
I went to the stadium, the coliseum to watch the Rams.
You remember your first game because everything looks nine thousand
times bigger than you thought, you know. But when I
saw the ice for the first time, when I went
to my first King game, I couldn't believe.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
How enormous that place was.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
You know, I was a kid.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I was six years old and walked in my first
game and it was beautiful. Well, my first game at
Dodger Stadium because my dad was a big sports fan,
thank god. And my first game at Dodger Stadium nineteen
sixty nine, maybe nineteen seventy, I got to figure that out,
and the stadium looked like the Grand Canyon. You can't
believe when you're young how big that place is and

(29:52):
how many people are there.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
And the screaming and the fight in the fight.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
I'm sorry at the fighting, but the well they could
have been fighting, but the people in the stands yelling
and screaming, and they you know, they just the smell
of hot dogs and beers and people yelling. It's a
big deal. You know, when you're six and you've never
had an experience like that, it's a lot to take
in a lot and just to stay out late because

(30:17):
it was a you know, probably a seven o'clock game,
and normally at six you're not allowed to stay out
that late. But my dad kept us out on a
school night at a late game.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Oh it was great.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
It was great.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
My very first experience with Dodger Stadium was absolutely beautiful.
Same with the Kings and Lakers and Rams. Beautiful experience
with all four teams. Man, I I'm I shouldn't be
this way, you know, I'm probably too old to act
this way, but I still live and die with these
stupid teams. Every single year. I'm always into these teams.

(30:50):
I can't stop, you know. I occasionally, you know, you
bad mouth the Kings, then you're right at the TV
set watching the game, you know, that night. I can't
stop with these teams. And I know there's a lot
of people listening exactly like me. You know, whatever it is.
Maybe you're Boston fan, your Celtics fan, Bruins, you know,
Patriots and Celtics, and you can't stop watching these games.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Or Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Eric Weiss a good friend of mine, big Philadelphia fan,
and he lives and dies by these scores. You know,
these scores are everything. You don't get that excited over
anything else in life, but these scores. And when these
teams win, man, it's unbelievable. All Right, we're live, We're
gonna watch the Dodgers are going to extra innings at
Dodgers Stadium.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Looks like nobody has left the park.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Nobody has done an Angel Martinez, We're live ONKFI AM
