California gubernatorial candidate Stephen J. Cloobeck weighed in on Katie Porter abruptly walking out of an interview. Conway promoted the upcoming Morongo Party on October 18 with signups at kfiam640.com/promotions. The crew shared classic one-liners from comedy legends like Dick Van Dyke, Jay Leno, and George Burns—before Bellio got hit with a playful “boom roasted.” The show closed with Dodgers Game 3 anticipation, word of an arrest in the Palisades Fire case, and a string of four jewelry robberies in Woodland Hills.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM sixty KFI AM six. It is The Conway Show.
We are now one hour away from first pitch at
Dodgers Stadium, and we will keep you updated on traffic.

(00:22):
Angels keeping her eyes on what's going on around there.
The sad news is there are no good ways to
get the Dodgers Stadium right now. Hopefully you listen to
the show yesterday where I reminded you to leave four
hours before the game, and if you left an hour
before the game, which is right now, you may not
get there in time. Look, you paid a lot for
those seats. That stadium is going to be buzzing. Get

(00:44):
there early. Stop with this late stuff. You get there
early and and the Dodgers need that support. They need
the loud, rowdy crowd that Philadelphia showed for the Phillies,
and we need tonight to be extra loud so the
Dodgers don't have to play tomorrow and then they don't
have to fly to Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Question for you about driving their early.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Sure, the capacity of the stadium is what it is,
that's right, right, So why is it worse on these
days versus any other Dodger home game.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I think it's because you know, on any home game
there might be thirty five, forty forty two thousand. You
know there's gonna be fifty six thousand, so you're gonna
add another.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
But they've been selling out. I mean they had like
record turnout this year. Yeah, a game was sold out.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
But I think these you know, these tickets are more expensive,
and you want to get your money's worth out of
these suckers.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
So yeah, right, I got you.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, And any importance of the game in general, yeas
to be getting there early.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, the vibe at the stadium during playoffs is different
from a regular season. But you're right, but it's always
a pain in the ass, you know, to Actually, you know,
Mark Thompson is right yesterday, it's the pain of the
ass is getting home, getting there is you know, is
it now?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Because everybody's taking their time?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, exactly, all right, Katie Porter is in the news.
Then we're gonna talk to somebody who's running for governor
in the state of California to react to this. Katie
Porter got really pissed at a reporter. Porter got pissed
at a reporter, and I'm going to play the whole
thing for you who are uninterrupted, and then we're going
to talk to somebody who's running for governor in the

(02:18):
state of California and get his reaction. But this was wild, wild,
Katie Porter angry as hell.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
What do you say to the forty percent of California
voters who you'll need in order to win, who voted
for Trump?

Speaker 5 (02:29):
How would I need them in order to win?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Well, unless you think you're going to get sixty percent
of the vote, you think you'll get sixty percent, all
everybody who did not vote for Trump will vote for you.
That's wait, you're.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Getting a general election. Yes, if it is me versus
a Republican, I think that I will win the people
who did not vote for Trump.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
What if it's you versus another Democrat?

Speaker 5 (02:48):
I don't intend that to be the case. I represented
Orange County. I represented a purple area. I have stood
on my own two feet and one Republican votes before.
That's not something every candidate and this race can say.
If you're from a deep blue area, if you're from
LA or you're from Oakland, you don't have an.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Experience that you don't need those Trump voters.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
So you asked me if I need them to win.
So you don't think like this is unnecessarily argumentative, what
is your question?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
The question is the same thing I asked everybody that
this is being called the empowering voters to stop Trump's
power grap Every other candidate has answered this question. This
is not arguments said, I support it. So and the
question is what do you say to the forty percent
of voters who voted for Trump?

Speaker 5 (03:29):
Oh, I'm happy to say that. It's the do you
need them to win? Part that I don't understand. I'm
happy to answer the question. Answer the question is you
haven't written in all answer.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
And we've also asked the other candidates do you think
you need any of those forty percent of California voters
to win? And you're saying no, you don't.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
No, I'm saying I'm going to try to win every
vote I can. And what I'm saying to you is that,
well to those voters. Okay, so you I don't want
to keep doing this, I'm going to call it.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Thank you. Hey, you're not going to do the interview
with us.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
No, it's not like this.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
I'm not not with seven follow ups to every single
question you ask.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Every other candidate has answered, Cara.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Books, I don't care. I want to have a pleasant,
positive conversation which you asked me about every issue on
this list. And if every question you're going to make
up a follow up question, then we're never going to
get there and we're.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Just going to circle around.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
I ever had to do this before. Ever, You've never
had to have a conversation to end in order.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Okay, but every other candidate has done this.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
What part of I'm me? I'm running for governor because
I'm a leader, So I am going to make so.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
You're not going to answer questions from reporters. Okay, why
don't we go through? I will continue to ask follow
up questions because that's my job as a journalist. But
I will go through and ask these and if you
don't want to answer, you don't want to answer, so
nearly every legislative.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
I don't want to have an unhappy experience for you,
and I want there's all one camera.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
I don't want to have an unhappy experience with you either.
I would love to continue to ask these questions so
that we can show our viewers what every candidate feels
about every one of these issues that they care.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
About world that is in redistricting.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
It's a massive issue. We're going to do an entire
story just on the responses to that question. And I
asked everybody the same follow up questions.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
All right, there it is, Let's get Stephen Jay Kluback
on to respond to this. Stephen Jay Kluback, Welcome to
the program.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
How you Bob, How are you funny?

Speaker 6 (05:19):
You have?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I mean, is there a better gift for this morning
than that?

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Well that was yesterday, that was late afternoon, and I
sat with the reporter Julie.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
She's great, and you know, she.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Told me at the end of the interview that as
a Democrat, I answered every question like a Republican, So
I go, great, I don't know, I don't know. Look
my responses were. She asked me the same question, Tim,
and I'm like, well, everyone's a customer in California, and
that's right.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Governor of the state, you have.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
To represent everybody because everyone's a customer. You know, I'm
not a politician. And all I could say to Katie
Porter is in peace.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
I know, really, I don't even know, you know what
I haven't.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
I think I'm gonna I'm not even.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Gonna call her Katie anymore. I wanna call her Karen.
Have you ever met her?

Speaker 6 (06:14):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (06:15):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah, okay, so you know her.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
She's unpleasant. She's an angry woman, right, But why would
she I shouldn't say woman, she's a woman, but I mean,
she's an angry human and she's just I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Right, Maybe people like that kind of anger. I don't know.
But but why?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
But why would she do that in an interview where
everybody is so close. I mean, there's no clear front
runner that's out out ahead by sixty points.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
No, there is. This is a wide open race. Yeah,
the customers of California are looking for a change. California
needs to be disrupted. Everyone knows we're not affordable, we're
not livable, we're not workable, we're closed for business. We
have issues. We need to solve these issu shoes because
this state is too great, it's a country. We need

(07:03):
to act like it. And you know what, she is
now disqualified. So let's forget about Katie Porter and let's
talk about those that want to solve the issues in
California and open it up back for business. And look,
we've got issues, got problems.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
We feel it. Oh, Yeah, this is not the California.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
This is not the California in the seventies, eighties, nineties.
And we've got affordability issues, we've got insurance issues, we've
got gas price issues, we've got we've got educational issues.
These are real issues.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Hey, let me ask you something, Steven Jake Klubeck with this.
Let me ask you something I heard yesterday on John
Colvelt Show. They're putting a homeless shelter on I think
it's Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. Two years ago, my
wife and I looked at an apartment almost on Ocean Avenue.
I think it was Fourth Street, and we couldn't afford

(07:58):
to have that as you know, like you know, as
an apartment and move out there because it was too expensive.
And yet they're going to put homeless people out there.
I don't understand putting them in areas that are that expensive,
and I think those are reserved for people who work
their ass off their whole life.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
And then they moved there.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
You know, Tim California, the Democratic Party that I grew
up in California was strong, It was protective, It had
leaders that were fighters. We were always the best in everything.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
That's right, and.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
This woke stuff is weak. We need brass balls part
of my language. But it's true. We need leaders that
have experience that can solve these tough issues. And it's
you know, everyone needs a chance for aspiration, Tim, But
you know it's a meritocracy. We got to have results.

(09:00):
And like SB seventy nine, this silly law that's on
the governor's desk to sign to build multi level housing
all over the place, and it's it's to a transit area.
It's filled with unintended consequences. It's so silly. You know,
these laws, we're lot out to death, We're regulated out
to death.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Stopped us. Yeah, I think you're right, all right. How
do people get a hold of you?

Speaker 7 (09:25):
Is?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
What's the website?

Speaker 6 (09:28):
California Get a clue dot com cluebec for Governor twenty
twenty six. And we've got a podcast too on iHeartRadio,
Steven J. Klubeck Podcast. But you know, I want a
better California. I don't want to lose my children to
leave the state.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
I'm with you.

Speaker 6 (09:45):
My friends have my friends have left. I don't want
I want my friends to come back home from Nevada
and in Florida and Texas and Tennessee because you know what,
it's not so fun to live here. We are the
best climate, the best culture, the best of ever.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Do you think we need to bring it back? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Buddy, appreciate you coming on, and we're going to check
back with you. Whenever Katie Porter says anything.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
What else there is?

Speaker 6 (10:10):
If I was her, I would like I would like
to apply to Brazil.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Thanks man, come on by next time you're burb I
look forward to it. There's no extradition from Brazil. Yeah,
all right, you're the best.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Stephen Jake klueback everybody that's great reaction to she should
just get out of the race. You know, that's a
rap on her man. She is angry. A lot of
people like that anger. I don't know. I don't think
that solves problem, that kind of hostility. I think we
need somebody to get in there and really straighten out
this state. All right, We're keep an eye on Dodger traffic.

(10:44):
Dodger game starts in about fifty minutes from now, five
zero fifty minutes from now. If they win tonight, they
bea at Philadelphia. They win, and they go into the
National League Championship Series. So is a big game tonight.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Big game.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
We're live on KFI AM six forty KFI A. It
is the Conways show. Big stories here in southern California.
They nabbed a guy who they think is responsible for
the fire in early January in Pacific Palisades and they
caught him in Florida and he'll be extradited back to

(11:17):
California to face a lot of charges. Over sixty eight
hundred homes and businesses gone. Twelve people were killed in
that fire. That's a big story. That's a major story.
Another major story on the national stage is Donald Trump.
President Trump says Israel and Jammas both signed off on

(11:37):
the first phase of the Gods a peace plan, and
Donald Trump is considering traveling to the Middle East in
the coming days, according to the White House, to sit
down with both sides and sign that deal. So that's
another major story going on. And then we have the
Dodgers in a in lighter news, going to play to

(11:59):
Anther at Dodgers Stadium in thirty four minutes forty four minutes,
and they will if they win tonight, they go into
the National leagu Championship Series and then if they win
that series, they go on to the World Series. When
they started the playoffs, they had to win thirteen games
to win the World Series. If they win tonight, there

(12:21):
will only be eight left. They will have won five games.
All five games, by the way, they have not lost
in the postseason. So if they win tonight, five of
the thirteen are down and there's eight more to win
the National League Championship Series and then the World Series.
So you got to get to the stadium and you

(12:42):
got to be extra loud tonight. It helps the Dodgers,
it does. And then we're going to Bellyo was at
the at the Morongo party desk and is at the
she sitting at that camp. We don't know the party
camera on.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Ellio. Are you at the Marongo party desk?

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Thengo party by the way, how does that different from
the from the weather desk and setup?

Speaker 8 (13:10):
So oh they are computers and access to different data.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Oh I see, okay, so you could be it.

Speaker 8 (13:15):
And different chairs. Okay, all right, this one has different pens. Okay, okay,
the weather desks at the chase desk. But what no,
I can do this. I'm back at the party desk.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
All right, what's going on with the Marongo Party the
birthday party, which is a week from Saturday.

Speaker 8 (13:36):

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Really?

Speaker 7 (15:11):
You know?

Speaker 8 (15:12):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Are you stopping on the way?

Speaker 7 (15:15):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (15:15):
At Taco bell Yes, Bellio showed up. I thought it
was hysterical. And if I didn't have my effing phone
with me, or I'd taken a picture and you probably
would have killed me. I was out that this is
years ago, back when I was, you know, enjoying cigarettes

(15:36):
and I was outside having one and Bellio shows up.
She's in the passenger, see John's driving, And she gets
out of the car and she has cheese on her
sweater and a little bit in her hair.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
She denies that like melted cheese or like shredded cheese.

Speaker 8 (15:54):
Melted some was some was melted, some was just shredding.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Because gets out and just shakes it off and rubs
it down.

Speaker 8 (16:03):
What was I supposed to do? I don't know, but
I mean, why are you always in the wrong place
at the wrong Why is it? What do you like
sit around waiting for opportunity for something to go wrong,
and it feels like you're just waiting for me.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I love that. Now, it's my positioning at Marongo.

Speaker 8 (16:24):
That is the problem you out there, Linger, you.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Know, I think we told everybody.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
What was it.

Speaker 8 (16:29):
I didn't hear.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
I was having a cigarette and I witnessed you getting
out of the car.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
With doused cheese.

Speaker 8 (16:39):
It was a little bad.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
A little bit of cheese. Yeah, I don't want to
talk about Del Taco.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I forget Del Taco, Okay, Yeah, I love delk Yeah,
I'm a major fan of Del Taco, major fan.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
By the way, I went last night last night. Stop
was Jack in the Box.

Speaker 8 (16:56):
I know, I eat like I'm you haven't been to
Jack in the Box in a while?

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I have, but I went last night, and I eat
like a twenty year old who's not going to see thirty.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
That's my diet. But I drove by the restaurant The
Little Bear in Glendale.

Speaker 8 (17:10):
Oh yeah, oh, they're having their grand opening right now.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Savan was in here yesterday and so I drove by.
And I'm not in the restaurant business, So I don't
tell people what to do in the restaurant business. Because
I don't know anything about it, but I will say this,
if you own a restaurant, i'd put a sign outside
with a name on it, with a name with the
name or any name.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
But it's just there's just white lights outside.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
Well, maybe that's what they're doing right now.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Maybe the grand open that's it. That's going to be
right streamers. That's right.

Speaker 8 (17:44):
It looks like a great place.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
It looks like it was an old donut chop and
I and I peeked because the blinds were down, and
I looked inside.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It looks awesome.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Those the sandwiches, the one that I got yesterday, unbelievable.
That's like a serious sandwich, like old sandwich. And then
went on a pistachio cream on which I never would
have been phenomen.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
How did you know this pistachio cream? Just by a taste,
I can tell you.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Okay, yeah, a little bit of sweetness there, but it
works and I'm not a big fan of the sweet
stuff on savory.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
I took that pasta home, heated it up and downed it,
you know, before the first you know, period of the
King's game was over.

Speaker 8 (18:22):
So you took the sandwich home and you took the
pasta home? What what was I supposed to take home?

Speaker 2 (18:27):
You took?

Speaker 6 (18:27):
You?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Had you? You were banging on the Teremy Sue pretty good.

Speaker 8 (18:31):
I had a bite a bite?

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Really?

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Does promotions at the end have an s like bites
as an yes? But you had you had the Teremy Sue?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
And did you have something else? I thought you were?
Maybe you didn't.

Speaker 8 (18:48):
I heard somebody had the salad, Crozier had the sandwich,
and you had the pasta.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
And I heard a woman's voice saying in the background,
maybe not be you. I couldn't tell because the speaker's
bround here, but I heard a woman in the hallways
say there's not enough cheese in it.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
That was me?

Speaker 8 (19:11):
I think. Did we take a break?

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Okay, we have.

Speaker 1 (19:14):

casino unless it's a service animal, but everybody else is welcome.

Or be right down there on the ninety one connected
to the ten. I'll be there so Angel'll be there.
I don't know if speed Racers coming. Is Stepho's coming? No, really,
that would be great to reintroduce him to the crowd
there at the party and then you know, got around

(21:16):
and gamble with him, you know, rub his back for
good luck.

Speaker 8 (21:21):
He would love to go. I'm just not ready.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, he probably owns Morongo. Now, so Bellio's going. Are
you staying overnight?

Speaker 8 (21:32):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Oh? Really? Wow, big party for you.

Speaker 6 (21:36):

stories are going and yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah you're up at five. Yeah, you get to wait.
You're early sleepers, right, you go to bed early pretty early?
What times? Early? Nine?

Speaker 8 (22:02):
Nine to ten?

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Really?

Speaker 8 (22:04):
So when I text you last night eleven, that woke up. Yeah,
your texts always wake me up, So thank you. And
then I'm like, what, who cares?

Speaker 1 (22:21):
You should just write that back? He should write that bag?
Who cares?

Speaker 2 (22:27):
So what who cares?

Speaker 9 (22:28):
Did you see the Dick Van Dyke the comment that
He made that because he's ninety nine years old, and
he said in an interview that he thinks it would
be funny if he passed away before he turned up.

Speaker 8 (22:42):
He's the best.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
That's great.

Speaker 8 (22:43):
Reminded me of your humor.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I saw who is the older comedic comedy His comedian
who smoked a bunch of cigars. He was a short guy,
George Burns. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, George Burns. I saw
a clip from him on Carson on the Tonight Show
at Johnny Carson and Johnny said, how many cigars do
you have a day? And he goes, well, this is

(23:07):
my tent. I have between eleven and fifteen cigars a day.
And Johnny said, well, I mean, what does your doctor say?
And he goes, my doctor's dead. That's a great comment.
That's a great comment. Also, Leno had a great comment
yesterday and at his garage, I asked the john who

(23:29):
I gave us that awesome tour. I said, hey, Leno
doesn't have any kids. What happens to this, you know,
eight hundred million dollar collection when he moves on in
forty years or whatever. And Jay Leno's response was, that's
not my problem. That's a great comment. You know, that's

(23:50):
the kind of attitude that keeps you alive forever. You know,
you don't worry about the crap that's coming after you're gone. True,
you know, the life insurance house, the cars, who's going where,
who's got what? You just say, eh, it ain't my problem.

Speaker 8 (24:06):
That's why the Dick Van Dyke line was so great.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yeah, that is a great one.

Speaker 8 (24:09):
All that kind of humor about that.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Yeah, Like I tried that on my wife about four
months ago. She said, hey, we're we have life insurance
and everything I go, that's not my problem when I go,
I go parties over you know.

Speaker 8 (24:23):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Oh man, that's god, that's exactly what she said, Yeah,
exactly what she's with her.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
No, we do have life insurance, just so.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
And the only reason guys have life insurance who don't have,
you know, really young kids, is so she doesn't have
to go home with the first guy she meets at
a bar.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
You know, she can be.

Speaker 8 (24:42):
Well, that's stuff full of you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
I appreciate that she can be a little particular. You
don't have a couple of bucks.

Speaker 8 (24:47):
Doesn't that it wasn't the first time, am I right?

Speaker 6 (24:52):
Right?

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Hey, I'll be in Vegas in the thirteenth and in
Reno on the eighteenth.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
That's funny, BELLYO. You're on a roll.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
You in a roll, all right, So sign up for
the party, you two bellio. They well, you'll get selected.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I can't make it.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
And that's going to be on October eighteenth, Yes, eighteenth, Okay,
that'd be a great time. A lot of people are
going to be there. It's gonna be a really cool night.
So six to eight pm on the eighteenth. Sign up

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Big doll with it all right.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Dodger game starts in twenty four minutes, twenty four minutes
first pitch at Dodger Stadium. We're live on KFI AM
six forty. KFI AM six forty is Conway Show. The
Dodgers start in twenty minutes, eight seven, eighteen minutes, seventeen
minutes and if they win tonight, they move on to

(25:48):
the National League Championship Series. If they win that series,
they go onto the World Series. They have nine I'm
sorry eight nine more victories and until they win a
World Series, you have to win thirteen. If you're a
wild card team and they've already won four and if

(26:09):
they win tonight, it'll be number five. They'll have eight
games left, eight wins. And we have another party in
LA And it's exciting this time of year. You know,
these long shadows as the sun goes down, the cooler temperatures,
the threat of rain later this week. If you were
born and raised in southern California, you know what I'm

(26:30):
talking about. This is a great time of year. Great
time of year. You get out and you know, you
go to a restaurant. You can sit outside where it's
not one hundred and forty degrees and feel the nice
cool breeze. You can leave the window open at night
without the air conditioning on. It was fifty nine degrees

(26:50):
last night in Burbank. We left the windows open and
I was freezing by about four am.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Had to get up and shut them.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
And almost turned the heater on, almost but I didn't
do it. I didn't do it, all right, So the Dodgers.
That's big news. We also have big news coming out
of the Middle East that Donald Trump, President Donald Trump
says Hamas and Israel both have signed off on the
first phase of the Gods of peace.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Plan, that twenty point peace Plan.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
There was an arrest in the Palisades fire that happened
in January. We're coming up on the first year anniversary
event early January of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
And again the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
So we've got a lot of big stories happening here
in southern California and we are trying to cover them all.
All Right, we have another crime has been committed in
the valley. It seems like it happens a lot in
Woodland Hills. Let's find out what happened to this chap
in Woodland Hills and how much he's out.

Speaker 7 (27:52):
It all started with something so routine, a man leaving
a restaurant right here on the Tura Boulevard just west
of DeSoto around nine pm last night. But then suddenly
and mysteriously, his tire went flat. Now he knows why.
LAPD detectives earlier this afternoon leaving Pokeito Moss on Ventura Boulevard.
No comments on camera for us yet, but they didn't

(28:14):
confirm that part of their investigation will involve surveillance video.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
And it came and I have it.

Speaker 7 (28:20):
If those cameras can verify what Alis said, he got
told officers last night a frightening tale of robbery at
knife point that started with a ruse.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
It started Piqito Moss.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
I have a flat tire.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
I came out from my car and I'm going to.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
Take my tay Sedagan says he had just left Poqito
Moss in this red Ford mate. As he was checking
the flat, he suddenly realized he wasn't alone, and.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Two guys they came to me. One of them bed
the knife. Kis.

Speaker 10 (28:50):
They put the knife on me, and they grabbed my bag,
and they took all of my and all on my
junity more than two.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I wonder if ironies upon irony is that when they
were ripping him off and they had taken all his jewelry.
I wonder if one of the robbers said, Piquito mass.

Speaker 7 (29:08):
Possible more than two hundred thousand dollars worth. He says
he had stopped for dinner at the restaurant on his
way back from his jewelry design shop in downtown LA.
He believes the robbers popped his tire while he was
parked so he would stop.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Surprise, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 7 (29:25):
To be honest today, business owners in this stretch of
vent True Boulevard are aware of what happened, like Alex McKee.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Did you, by the way, did you hear that reaction
when somebody said, are you surprised that this happened? That
a guy you know was given a flat purposely and
then he was robbed? Does that surprise you in Woodland Hills?

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Not at all? Not at all.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
How about that response, Does it surprise you that somebody
flattened your tire and guy was ripped off two hundred
thousand dollars worth of jewelry and cash?

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Not at all, Not at all, not at all.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
And I don't think it's surprised any of us, you know,
would it would have ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Not now. Crime's crazy, it's everywhere, not.

Speaker 7 (30:08):
At all, to be honest, Today, business owners in this
stretch of vent True Boulevard are aware of what happened,
like Alex McKee of bad Ash Cigars across the street.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Oh, what a great name for a cigar.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Place, bad Ash Cigar, bad Ash Cigars?

Speaker 7 (30:22):
Who bad Ash Cigars across the street.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
You know, I'm always concerned I've got my head on
a swivel when I leave the.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Shop at night.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Yeah you should, and especially when you're getting gas or
doing anything walking across the street, heads out, got to
always be on a squivel looking around.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
You're looking around, who's going to wipe you out? Who's
going to wipe you out?

Speaker 7 (30:39):
The lapd says this could turn out to be the
fourth follow home robbery involving jewelry in Woodland Hills in
the past month, and.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
I have dear that fourth one in the in the
last forty five days in Woodland Hills. Woodland Hills is
always the center of these things, whether it's a guy
you know breaking into your house, whether you're having a
another company wash your car in your parking lot or
in your driveway and you get robbed that way man
Woodland Hills. I don't know what it is about Woodland Hills.

(31:09):
I guess there's a lot of money up there, and
there's older homes with older people, maybe old school money,
and they're easier to hit.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (31:17):
Sources confirm to NBC four Investigates that they're trying to
determine if all the cases might be related. The good
news is that mister sindag Had was not injured, but
he does now join a growing list of people in
the jewelry industry were being apparently targeted in this part
of the city. Live in Woodland Hills, Gordlands.

Speaker 6 (31:36):
NBC.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Okay ran into them during aids a lockout.

Speaker 7 (31:41):
Live in Woodland Hills, squad RENBC four need all.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Right, that's not the only crime in the valley.

Speaker 10 (31:49):
We are outside of what is a large apartment complex
here at Woodman and van Ey's in Panorama City. And
what you have to appreciate here is that the people
who live in this car complex didn't wait for the
LAPD to contact us. They contacted us directly, taking the initiative,
hoping that you can help find those responsible, and also

(32:10):
with a warning.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
It's mail theft. Guys are living in apartments. Guy comes
in with a post office key, opens up the mailbox
and takes everything. Everybody who lives in the building gets ripped.

Speaker 10 (32:23):
Off because their mail has been snatched before. Laura Tello says,
this apartment building has what it takes.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Fence gates, security surveillance.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
It has everything gates, lights, security cameras, and they don't care.
The valley is the wild, wild West, right. We are
ten minutes away from first pitch at Dodger Stadium.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
It's time for.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Dodger Baseball in ten minutes. We're live on CAMFI AM
six forty Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Now,
you can always hear a live on KFI AM six
forty four to seven pm Monday through Friday, and anytime
