How are you boding, buddy? All right, so we've got
some bad news and then a big story, right sure, Okay.
The bad news is my wife told me about an

hour ago that somebody either jumped or fell off the
Tillaria building, which is right across the street from us yep.
And that's the Whole Foods building right off of Olive
and the one thirty four freeway. And at seven thirty
this morning, they found a body, and the body they
think showed signs of a fall and possible suicide.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
When we talked to Burbank PD about it, they said
that they were investing it as a suicide based on
well he worded it in a way that said the
injuries were consistent with a fall.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm surprised that's not been an I've been watching news
all day. I've been reading news all day, and I
even talked to Ross with my Burbank dot com and
nobody had any information about it. I don't understand that
we typically don't cover those types of things.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
We don't.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
We really don't. I mean, it's it's just suicides. Yeah,
we don't typically cover that, right, Why is that? And
it's like the same thing when like if someone's standing
on an overpass, like on the one on one or something,
you might get it in the traffic report because it's
impacting traffic. But we don't really do a deep dive
on suicides. It's just been a policy we've had for years.
A lot of TV stations don't do that, or TV

and regiouslyation, I didn't know that. Yeah, it's a it's
a policy. Same thing we don't show. We don't show
the photos of juveniles. We don't show, you know, we don't.
It's just we don't. It sort of glorifies it and
we don't like to do that. And plus it's also
sort of disturbing and disrupting to the family. Okay, speaking
of disrupting, we disrupt you or interrupt you. We have

a high speed chase going on Ladies and Gentlemen on
Channel seven at four oh nine seventy nine degrees out
there and Los Angeles. It looks like the one oh
five I'm seeing now four all five Angel Martinez, what's
going on out there?

Oh, it's a brs running away from police.

All right, empty, of course it is right guys, the
middle of the day. You can see pretty much. Uh,
he's got the full freeway to himself here, So we'll
see if he shows the best whatsoever of pulling over you.

It's a black suv being it appears to be that
highway that's not highway patrol. Doesn't look like it looks
like even speed.

At that fast you can see he's doing right around
freeway speed limits.

he's passing LAX like I was born and raised here.

to note that they're going to speed limit.

It's Onchriss Control and uh, he is going northbound on
the four or five, and for some reason it is
wide open. Thursdays are always the new Friday. Now, I
would assume that freeway would be wall.

To wall people unless unless they've called ahead and they've
got they've got a traffic breakup ahead, that's possible.

Maybe maybe, Yeah, I doubt it. That's usually wrong. Yeah,

up on Culver City West, Los Angeles, and it's getting
a wild out there, wild out there.

But first of all, he's coming up. He's gonna come
up pretty quickly. On he's on the exit.

Oh, he's all okay, he's getting off Howard Hughes Parabe
on the ninety.

he's going into Marina del Ray. I don't know he's
gonna get off. That's the off ramp there, so Culver

to the four five four or five southbound maybe huh.

looks like it's going to go.

Southbound four or five. Lots of traffic heading back towards
the airport. Channel seven the only local station on it
right now. Surprising, Channel five is not on it. Let's

Oh look at that plane landing at ups airplane landing
right there while we're watching this high speed chase. Steve
Gregory joins us high speed chase in the Lax area.
Here's what we know about this person driving a wanted
sexual assault suspect might be a rape suspect from Boston,

leaving and running away from the cops around Lax. You
can watch it on channel seven. They were the first
ones on it. Five has joined him and Tim.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
They're also saying that police are pursuing under suspicion that
the drivers possibly aren't.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Oh is that right? Oh boy?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
I imagine you know, the guy's got some money. I
know whether it's his car or rent a car, but
he's probably got some cash. So I bet he's on
the phone to his lawyer right now. You know, he's
on the phone with his lawyer going, Hey, I'm being
chased by these cops. I'm wanted for this, this and this.
What do you recommend I do? But you imagine how
that phone call started. It's like, hey, Rob, hey, Steve,

The kids and the wife at the hotel. Anyway, I'm
a little busy right now. I got five you know what,
you have five cops following me and I'm on live
TV in Los Angeles.

But this is a wild chase. This is a guy
who does not want to be handcuffed and taken in
the long arm of the law. He's from Boston. Some
kind of sexual rape or assault happen and he's running
from these cops. Now, Steve, you had an observation I
thought was pretty pretty good that he's going slow because
he's probably doesn't.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Know the area.

Yeah, I mean, he was going to speed limit on
the freeway.

Speaker 2 (09:36):

And when he's now he's on a surface street and
it says West Imperial Highway in Losienaga, in Inglewood, and
he's slowed down.

He's in the left turn lane. He's just sitting there.

Cops are behind him, they're not engaging, and it's just
I just wonder because he's he's focused in the lax area. Yeah, well,
I don't think he knows he doesn't know the thereway system.

It's also smart because you can't get the helicopters can't
get too close to him with the lax traffic round.
He's got seven cop cars behind him, and he's just
stuck in a traffic light. Are you just sitting there
on the left turn ling or that is it left turnling?

Yeah, just kind of hanging out. He's got his blinker on, Tim. Look,
he's got a all right, Well that's does that what
California plays to you?

It does look like California plate does Might be a rental?
Might be a rental? Stephansh Let's pop up the volume
here and see what this lads up to here.

Sure, to the public, why antagonize him? Why up the
anti anymore? If they have the luxury of following him
at a safe speed at a safe distance, and he's
not really you know, doing anything too extreme yet. You
reserve those other tactics for if things get a little
more and crazy. Right now, he certainly appears to be.

Wanted for sexual assault, maybe armed. We learned that from
Andrew Caravella. Where'd you get that from?

Oh wow, all right, there's other news stations out there.
Look how slow he's going. He's back getting on the
freeway here, He's gonna be on the four five or
one oh one. Here looks like four or five northbound.

Again the four five freeway, and that will require us
to now connavigate Lax Airspace in the opposite direction. Yeah,
we're gonna have to head back north.

Again. Nailed it. I tell you, I should read that.

Helicopter to northbound four O five would be good soundbites.
It would be interesting to be up there, high and
crazy up there. He's gonna be northbound FOURAL five. It
still doesn't look like it's that packed. There's planes flying
all over the place. And now these helicopters have to
go around Lax to get back on to the north
side of Lax.

So I just got this from a source at la
PD situation. It's it's from the they call it the dock.
It's the operation center.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Okay, Situational Awareness Televised LPED Vehicle Pursuit Harbor Area. The
doc's monitoring LPD harbor area pursuit of possible attack suspects
currently being televised local channels. So they see plural, So
a couple of suspects. It just says, monitoring pursuit of
possible attack suspects.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Wow, all right, so maybe these guys got out and
attacked a woman and then jump back in the car
and are running away from these cops.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
That's possible.

All right, back off the freeway now it looks like Century.
I'm gonna get off at Centri. If he turned right,
here you go to Sofi Stadium. He turns left, he
goes back to LAX. He's in the left hand turn lane,
so he's gonna be going back towards the airport. If
you're around LAX, maybe you're dropping off mom or dad,
Grandma and grandpa. Maybe they're coming in for I don't know,

last minute of vacation from Boston. They'll be in for
a real treat here. Because this is what LA is
all about. Craziness, crazy, crazy, crazy. We're all about craziness here,
and right now you're going to see it firsthand. You
imagine landing at LAX your very first time you've ever
been to Los Angeles. Do you think, oh, home a

movie stars and surfers, you know, cute gals, and then
the first thing you see is seven people following what
might be a couple of armed rape suspects.

Have you ever been, God, have you ever been?

Speaker 3 (13:24):
You know, like driving down the freeway and been involved
in a car chase like where it's come around you
or yes, yes, in the West Valley. That happened to
me on the two ten going east one at night.
Oh wow, And I didn't know what's going on. I
looked in the back and I could just see red
and blue lights like it must have been a crash.
And then the lights got bigger and bigger, and then
all of a sudden, one of those sun guns from
the helicopter.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Lit me up. Ooh really, and that those things are
so bright? Ye, I was in the hov lane ill
and it lit up the whole truck that I was in,
and I thought they were popping me for Beeingle. Oh
that's great, dude, that's great. Oh it scared me, but
after somebody else. I remember being on a high speed chase.
I was just driving around the valley and I saw

it and I pulled over not to get involved. And
the guy pulled over right in front of me, like
five cars in a five and so the cops swarmed him,
and I was I was in the you know, the
the mayhem there because there are cops in front of
me and behind me, and I wanted.

To get the hell out of there.

That could get you know what, I have permission from
my boss, Chris little If because I asked him. I said,
if I ever get caught in a car chase in
the news truck, and if I have an opportunity to
stop the car chase, can I can I ram the vehicle?
He said, yeah, wow, really, yeah, Okay, we talked about
me putting those pushbars on the front of the news truck, right,
But but the cops might arrest you for that though

will from the cop well. I mean I heard you
talk today to the Burbank p io no watch commander,
and man, he didn't know who you were. When You're like, hey,

what would you like? I goes, and then he goes,

We're all the celebrities. If you do anything at LAX,

be this Yeah, moving people into LAX, the one that's

way over budget again and three years behind schedule.

All right, so we're coming up on what's the main
street here. We're watching this high speed pursuit. It's on
TV now Channel fives covering Channel seven. I don't know
if eleven's on it or not, but man, is it
it is so far it's pretty calm, considering you know,
it's Thursday at four thirty and there could have been

a hell a lot of traffic everywhere. Channel nine is
also on it.

Somebody woke up over there, and so channel nine, five, seven,
and nine at home.

It is a wanted sexual assault suspect or two might
be armed as well, followed by the cops.

Gregory joins us, and we're watching a high speed chase
out near the airport. He pulled into a gas station.
He went around all the pumps, and all the cops
followed him around the pumps. That's why it did not
look That didn't look good at all.

I'm with you on that.

I'm with you on that one. I'm not fighting on
that one. We're watching this on channel seven. It's also
on channel five, Channel nine. I don't know if eleven
has picked it up yet. And this is a chase
of a of a suspect wanted possibly for rape. It
might be several suspects. They also might be armed, and
so the cops are pretty cautious, rightfully, so out in

that area. We're in the Westchester area near lax And
it's been going on for about a half hour, but
a half hour into this chase, at least, it's been
on TV for about a half hour. I'm not sure
how long. They said it started just before four. Okay,
all right, so it's just before five, coming about an
hour on this chase. And what's gonna happen you're seeing

a little of it right now, is you're going to
see this fog start to come in. And that's gonna
screw up my TV because I won't be able to
see the chase when the fog rolls in.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
See, they could have been doing a pit maneuver by
now at this wide open Look at that's wide open.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, that's true. But they might be armed, and you
never know. So are the cops. Well that's true, that's true.
They are armed, and they're better trained than the guy
sitting in the car. That's possible, possible, But you're going
to see you see this fog. If you're watching, it
looks like smoke, but that's fog. Coming in off the Pacific,
and if that gets thicker, then all these helicopters go

away and we go on to other news.

That's the look at that. It's most aggressive that he's
been thus far. Yeah, now he's going around buses.

Yeah, he's going around the rented car buses, herts, what
is it, Alamo National Car Rental, the whole group of
them out there. So if there are people who are
just coming to LAX maybe for your very first time
in your life, and the first thing you see two
rape suspects who might be armed being chased by cops,

The traffic laws though he stopped at the red light.

He is now, but evidently allegedly he didn't obey the
laws when it came to whatever female he is accused
of abusing. We're assuming it's a female. Yeah, okay, you're right. Nowadays,
you know, could be anything. I mean, we're assuming the
driver's a man. Okay, you're right, you're right. That's a stretch.

But yeah, we're assuming it's a guy. Right, But and
I guess we're prejudiced, I mean, which means we prejudge. No,
you are, Yeah, Oh I prejudge ith, Yeah you are too.

Okay, let me let me set up an example for you.
Can you tell me if you prejudge? Okay, you have

there are two gang members holding knives. Which ATM do

they're wearing colors. Maybe what ATM do you use? The
one where there's a woman reading poetry. Oh, we got
a pit maneuver. Possible pit maneuver. We go off of

four oh five here pretty quickly. He's drinking drinking. He's

I think when you're in a bottled water, I don't
think you're worried about a d U I here and
I think he might have a couple of pops.

but we're watching this high speed pur suit southbound Sepulvida
coming up on the four or five right near the
Lax area. He'll be going under the four five here
in a second.

Oh the fog. Get out, Get out of here with
this fog. Okay, doesn't crash. That's a nice car. Yeah,
that's a beautiful car.

That's an eighty five thousand dollars car. Jeez, if it's wait,
what kind of link it is it? Though, that's the
Nautiluss So it's their version fifty. It's a little one.
It's a it's a young If it was the navigator,
the twenty twenty four navigators are like one hundred thousand
dollars and.

They wouldn't be able to pit that one very well.

That'd be tough to do so anyway, So they're surrounding
him now again, southbound Sepulvida coming up on the four five,
and if you're going to Lax, you might be delayed
because there's a lot of police activity around Lax right now.
It started right before four pm. It's a little before

five pm right now, so it's been going on for
about an hour. It looks like the cops are getting
more aggressive to try to stop this thing. If it's
a rent a car, the rental car company is hoping
they don't total this thing or bang it.

Well, maybe he has the the fog is the effect
that the FOG's coming in again. Yeah, if you're gonna

Lax area. It's either one or more sexual assault suspects
and they're running away from the cops. They also might
be armed. We've been battling a little with the fog.
The fog is rolling in. It's five o'clock. It's going
to be a very foggy night on the coast. If

it's already rolled in past Lax at five o'clock, we're
in for a real dense fog night here in southern California.
It's going to come all the way into downtown Los Angeles,
is my prediction. Might even make it to the valleyed night,
might make it to the valley. You might see it

been following police pursuits forever Steve Watt is preventing the
pit from being used here.

Well, right now they can't. They're back on the freeway
and there's too many vehicles. It's unsafe. So it just
and it still surprises me. They've had a couple of
wide open areas where they had no vehicles and they
had a couple three lanes worth of space.

They could have done something. And and you know, in
just looking at it in layman's terms right now, not
all cops are trained on that.

some sort of EVOC training, which is, you know, emergency vehicle.

been in a vehicle that's been pitted, and I have executed.

You said, yes, I would. And then what a detective bragg?

trouble and blah blah blah, And I said nah, yeah,
and he texted me and it said I would arrest you.

You know what, you know how you make detective and
in police forces you don't look the other way a lot.

by giving their buddies.

I think I think he's I wonder if he's drugged
out or you know, drunk, or if he's just screwing
around the cops, because you notice how he speeds up,
then he slows down and he's kind of messing.

Around, then he slows down. You know what A buddy
of mine does is really kind of sick. Whenever he
rents a car, he always gets the baby car seat
and puts it in the back, and then if he
ever gets pulled over, he pretends to cry and just
points at the seat and cops like, oh, I'm sorry.

That's pretty, Smit. Let him go try that one. That's pretty.
What a kind of karma are you? That's true? Building
up for your life? Yeah that is that's a little, uh. Tim.
