It's KMF I Am six forty andyou're listening to the Conway Show on demand
on the iHeartRadio app. We're finallygetting some audio in from around the world.
Reaction to Alec Baldwin. Alec Baldwin, Yeah, I guess he's he's
skated. Today judge dismisses the manslaughtercase against Alec Baldwin with prejudice, meaning

(00:26):
he's not going to be retried. How did that happen, ah, Man,
I guess the prosecution did a no. No, that's usually what that
mean. We do have some breakingnews now. We have just learned that
the case against Alec Baldwin has beendismissed. Let's just go right away to
ABC News Jaquelin Lee, who's lifeoutside the courthouse there in Santa fe Man,
this guy skate. He could havedone eighteen months in prison. ABC

(00:48):
News legal contributor in trial attorney BrianBruckmeier. Jacqueline tell us about this really
stunning development at court there today, going on, Jackie here, that's Raylis.
But this has been a day fullof twists and turns. But ultimately,
just a few minutes ago, thejudge decided to dismiss the case.
With prejudice, saying the state withheldevidence. Now all of this centered around
this box of ammunition, and Ido actually just to add some color to

(01:11):
this. The second the judge ruledthat this case was dismissed, you saw
Alec Baldwin burst into tears. Hestarted hugging his defense team. His wife
behind him was sobbing. They startedhugging, So you can only imagine the
amount of runs. I think hewas crying because he has to go back
to his eight kids. Now that'swhat was happening. Leif that he is
feeling now again, this all centeredaround a box of ammunition that was turned

(01:33):
in to law enforcement after the film'sarmour Hannah Gutierres was found guilty of involuntary
manslaughter. Now what happened was whenthat box of ammunition was turned in,
it was not filed with the restof the evidence from RUST. So before
trial, when the defense demanded everysingle piece of evidence be turned over so
they themselves could do their own investigation, the state did not turn over that

(01:56):
ammunition. The state's argument was thatthis ammunition and was not relevant to the
case. They say it came froma man who was friends with Futier's his
father, so he had ulterior motives. And also they say that the ammunition
did not even match from the setof rust. Now, you know,
after the judge dismissed the jury forthe day, we heard from multiple witnesses.
We heard from testimony from the promptfirearm supplier, from the main investigator,

(02:21):
and the special investigator herself. Shecalled herself as a witness to the
stand to try to make her caseas to why she did not turn over
that ammunition. And then during thattestimony it comes out that the other prosecutor,
or, Linda Johnson, resigned todayduring a break because she did not
believe this motion's hearing should have beenpublic. So, Elizabeth, I mean,
just every twist and turn today fromthis case. Yeah, really surprising

(02:46):
change of events here. And Brian, you predicted this just on our error
and the last hour talk about exactlywhy we got this dismissal. What was
the revelation that kind of led tothis turn of events. So it all
just evolved. And at first Iwas talking to Ker Phillips and even Phil
Lipoff and just saying, hey, this seems bad, but maybe just a

(03:07):
slap on the wrist. But asit continued, it was like a train
wreck that just kept kidding worse andworse and worse. Even with the special
prosecutor taking the stand and believing shecould talk her way out of it,
she admitted that this was brady. She admitted that she knew about the reports
and even in the first trial thatof Hannagutierra's that certain issues didn't come up

(03:29):
and that should have alerted her.But this is this dismissal, and let
me be very clear, a dismissalwith prejudice, it means that the prosecution
can't bring back this case. It'sdone, it's over Alec Baldwin is the
equivalent of not guilty, as ifthe jury had decided to prosecution had to
prove their case. That's say, that's a big story in Los Angeles.
You know, anytime an actor andthere's a lot of other actors who are

(03:50):
watching this case because that could havesaid a presidence where if you were holding
a gun on a set and thatgun went off and somebody was injured or
killed, you could have been personallyliable for that. And so this was
a big deal for Hollywood and alot of people in Hollywood are probably relieved

(04:12):
that this, at least this onecase didn't go against the actor. In
this case, the violation of discoveryand the violation of Alec Baldwin's constitutional rights
were so bad. The prosecution fumbledthe ball so bad that the judge thought
that the only remedy was to throwout the case. Partially and mostly,
I would say, actually because theevidence as to the bullet, the investigation,

(04:34):
and even while on the judge lookedat the picture said, yeah,
this doesn't look like any other liveround, but this looks like some of
the gummy rounds that were found onthis set, and that I think was
a major component, but also thefact that the problem. And then they're
showing a picture of Alec Baldwin takinghis glasses off and then crying and then
hugging his attorney with his wife inhis crazy wife by the way, you

(04:59):
don't mind me, yeah, addinga little commentary behind him, also getting
very emotional. And the reason whyI said crazy because we remember Alec Baldwin's
wife, who was born and raisedin I believe Boston, and then later
on in life developed a rather thickSpanish accent, and then was on a

(05:20):
cooking show and she asked the host, how you say in English cucumber?
Cucumber? How you say cucumber? She was born in Boston. It's so
horrible Boston, and she couldn't saycucumber. How do you say cucumber?
Oh god, I have a livingwith that. You know, a woman

(05:41):
who throws that kind of fake accenton a TV show? What is that
like at home? Well? Andthey got that TV show that's coming up
I think October November. That yefamily and all those kids, all the
kids. Oh my god, Ican't wait to watch that. That's going
to be great. That's going tobe fantastic. And maybe the judge is
probably a fan of the Crazy Wifeand wanted filming of the reality show to

(06:05):
continue, so he's like, yeah, let's get him out of here.
I want to see that Crazy Wifeon TV doing the cucumber run again.
That's possible. You know, judgeswatched TV two. That's possible. You're
listening to Tim Conway Junior on demandfrom KFI AM six forty. All right,
Hilaria is it Hilaria Baldwin? Ithink that's her name, right,

(06:28):
Yeah, hilarious about the pronunciation HilariaHilario, Yeah, She was born Hillary
Lynn Hayward really in Boston. Shewas a yoga instructor. I think that's
how she met Alec Baldwin. Ithink he was into yoga and earlier on
in her life. She was bornin nineteen eighty four, all right,
young youngster, eighty four, kindof young. And she was born in

(06:54):
Boston, but would go to Spaina couple of times every summer, and
so I think that's where she pickedup that Spanish accent. And you know
what I would, I would busther balls, but I would be a
real hypocrite because when I was likeI think ten, my grandparents were from

(07:16):
my grandfather on my dad's side, and both my grandparents on my mom's side
were from Ireland, and we hadbeen in contact with some long lost relatives
and I wanted to go see them. You know, my mom wanted me
to go, my dad wanted meto go. So I think it was
like twelve or thirteen, and Ispent six weeks in Ireland and you know,

(07:39):
living with them, and it wasreally one of the great experiences of
my life. And I have tosay when I came back, you know,
we when I was coming back fromIreland and my mom and dad met
me at the airport. I wasslying alone at thirteen pretty study and my
mom and dad met me at theairport. And that's when you could meet
somebody at the airplane. Just suitingtime. Sure, yeah, yeah,

(08:03):
sport code yeah sure. And somy mom and dad met me at the
plane when I got off of Ithink it was their Lingis or I don't
remember what airline it was. AndI get off the plane and I see
my mom and my dad and afterbeing there for six weeks, I get
off the plane. I go Hi, dily D, Dilly die dily D
me mother and be father. Andmy Dad's like, wow, what happened

(08:24):
to you? Is that happen inIreland for a long time? That's a
no accent, you know. He'slike, ah, is that permanent?
I said, no, it's not. I said that was just bising you.
And he said, oh, I'mglad, because man, that wouldn't
have been a good look. SoHilaria me hitting you for using that ac
Yeah, slap it out of you, Hilaria. I went on the Today

(08:45):
Show, not a local cable accessshow that nobody watches, The Today Show,
and she was on the Today Showcooking and preparing a salad, and
this young lady from Boston, Boston, Massachusetts, forgot how to say cucumber.

(09:07):
A very authentic we have this isthe person interviewing her, and then
she'll introduce Hilardia. Yes, wehave Ladia Baldwin with us. He'll tell
us how are we going to preparethis? It's very healthy, it's very
easy. All you need to makesure is that you have really good tomatoes.

(09:28):
We have very few ingredients. Wehave tomatoes, we have and cucumber?
Cucumbers? How do you say itin English? God, that just
makes me angry hearing that again. She was born in Boston. Well,
I also looked this up, Croche. I mean, I think we're we're
busting her balls too much here. They don't have cucumbers in Boston. There's

(09:50):
a cucumber bam and she had neverseen that before. They don't have them,
they've never had them. They're illegalin Boston and she had never seen
one. So let's stop busting herballs. Okay. She I never ate
one and never seen one in herlife, and I think she got through
a pretty good for never seeing onein your life. Tomatoes we have cucumber,

(10:15):
cucumbers, we have red pepper.Hey, I'm Stephush, you're a
man of the world. How doyou say cucumbers in Spanish? Since you're
you know, you're you're from yourbasically whole family's from Argentina. I believe
it's uh peppino peppino Okay, soit's not close to cucumber. No,
okay, So she could have laida peppino on us. Yeah, oh

(10:37):
boy, what's going on with thislady. We have cucumber, cucumbers,
We have red pepper, We haveof course the critical onion, and we
have our garlic garlic aho, wow, onion, our garlic like a la

(11:01):
hole. We have a little bitof salt and pepper. I say they're
liva with some olive oil, andwe have some vine garl So all of
these things. All you have todo is blend them to get it.
So you want to you want tofeel the tomatoes, okay, because the
outside part of the tomato is alittle bit too tough for these soup,
so you want to push it.We're actually feeling it like an apple.

(11:24):
You're feeling like an apple. Itlooks exact like one, and I'm sure
there's way fancier ways to do it, but this is how I learn.
In Spain, we do it likethis. You know you can do it
in Boston. Sure there's way fancierways to do it, but this is
how I learn. In Spain. We do it like this. You can
do it a horble because as youpeel it, it's going to be it's
very juicy. If you have agood tomato, it's very juicy. Now

(11:46):
look what I'm going to do.I'm going to pour it, so I'm
going to cut it in half andthen I'm going to take out the hard
parts. The idea basically is youwant to make a really nice solk,
which you're going to take out allthe hard parts so that it can be
really really really frofty and good. There you go, say, cucumber,
what part of Boston are you from? Where you didn't pick that up?
North? Oh? Okay, Iget that. I get that digged along

(12:07):
with her. So that that series, the Alec Baldwin and uh Hilaria Baldwin
show that's going to take off. That's going to take off, And I
think he kind of probably needs themoney. Maybe I don't know if jobs
have dried up. When you startkilling the cast for the crew, that's
possible. I bet that is possible, you know. I mean when you

(12:31):
are killing the crew, it's reallyhard to get a listers to work with
you. So who knows. ButI can't wait for their's their new show.
I don't know when it comes out, but we'll be watching it.
We'll be watching it. Eight Kids. It's called eight Kids and a Crazy

(12:52):
Wife, which is a perfect titlefor it. All right, Costco,
everybody loves Costco. Major news atCostco. This has not happened since twenty
seventeen, and we come back.I'll tell you what it is. You're
listening to Tim Conway Junior on Demyafrom KFI AM six forty COVID songs.

(13:15):
That was fun for a while, and then COVID songs. Yeah, COVID
songs. Sitting there all day onYouTube or TikTok or Facebook or Instagram and
not having to do anything all day, just have to avoid people that are
going to kill you. And thenit sort of went away, and now

(13:35):
I don't know anybody that is gettingthe COVID shot. Anybody friends, family
that were really into vas. Youknow, some people in my family,
not my extended family, were addictedto inoculations. They get them all the
time, like every two three months, another COVID shot, and now they're
not even getting them. I don'tknow anybody that's getting the COVID shot.

(13:56):
Come on, I don't know allright, Costco is going to do they
haven't They haven't done since twenty seventeen. I call that seven years ago.
Let's find out what we're doing atCostco. September first, mark your calendar.
That's the day Costco fees are goingto be going up. Oh no,
oh no, here we go.Now. If you have a gold

(14:16):
membership, it's going up by fivedollars a year, and if you have
an executive membership, we're talking aboutten dollars extra a year or your membership.
Now, do what they do atCostco at least the one in Burbank
is they check my Costco card nowbecause there's a picture on the back of
it, and they make sure thatthat picture is me. I don't know
if they do that at your Costco. Do they do it at Steffush at

(14:39):
your Costo? That is so funnythat you said that, because is that
right? I was I was goingto check out, and I just gave
the lady my ID and she goes, oh, make sure you go back
to the the photo play whatever theentrance to redo your picture, because this
doesn't look like you anymore, really, And I'm like, it's what's the

(15:01):
difference. It's me, Like,I have the membership, I'm paying regularly.
Like, yeah, so the samething happened to me. That's so
funny that you said that. Man, people insult you in stores in two
different languages. They're knocking you inSpanish and English every time. Well,
what doesn't look different about you?I guess well, at the time it
was Matt damon glasses. You werethat part of that. But also because

(15:26):
I think at the time my hairwas I still had the long hair.
Oh that's right. But she immediatelylike grabbed and it's funny because she works
so quickly and she grabbed it.Oh this is you. You got to
make sure to read your picture nexttime you come in. And I'm like,
okay, did you want to askher whether she thought the picture is

(15:46):
better or worse than the actual look? I would never do that little gunshy
after the margin. Yeah, Ohthat's that's crazy. And then you gotta
wait and wait. I went toCostco and it's got about it got to
be about a year ago. Andthe woman who wasn't before me, and
she was going to take her picturefor her new membership card, and I

(16:07):
was next, and the woman takesa picture and the woman said, hey,
can I see it before you puton the back of that card?
And she said sure, and sheshowed it towards She goes, oh,
that's not a good one. CanI take another one? And she took
three while I'm waiting. She tookthree different pictures and I said, I
said, wow, that's kind ofwild. And the woman who works at

(16:30):
Costco's like, oh no, alot of people do that. You know,
it's going to be on the backof their card for a while.
They want to look good. I'mlike, okay, I just thought they
rejected that. Yeah, no,they don't. Well not at the Hollywood
A Costco, which was in Burbank, you know. And you know,
the funniest part is the fact thatshe caught the picture that it doesn't look
like me. But ever since I'vehad my membership, they actually spelled my

(16:52):
first name wrong. And she didn'tsay anything about that. She just looked
at the picture. Aw, buddy, I hate to say this on the
air, but I've got to goto the bathroom so bad. I have
no idea what you just said. For the last five minutes, I'm just
looking at the clock waiting for fortyone. It's Friday, a terrible stomach.

(17:17):
So did you get another one taken? Not yet because I haven't run
into her yet. So oh,it's just one lady there, bust your
ball. Yeah, that was soshocking, It's great. I couldn't believe.
I was like, I've never toldbeen told that by anybody except her.
You know what's really great at Costcois the vanilla yogurt slash soft serve

(17:38):
ice cream whatever that thing is.I don't know if it's yogurt ice cream,
I don't really care, but man, it's like eating a little like
a white, a cold, white, beautiful pillow. It's got the same
sort of texture if you were toeat a pillow like a cloud. Oh
my god, it is the bestin the world. It's only a dollar
ninety nine, you can get atalmost every cost Go, and it's a

(18:02):
lot of ice cream. You almosthave to be in really set yourself up
to do a Joey Chestnut or Joeywhat's his name, Yeah, Joey Chestnut.
Yeah, Okay, Now I'm theJoey Chestnut of the Burbank ice Cream.
And you know it's popular because halfthe time I go there, when
I go to get I'll usually getlike a couple slices of pizza and it'll

(18:25):
say sold out of the one thatyou're talking about, the vanilla and the
jury. Yeah, they always theyalways sell out. Yeah, So I'm
like, yeah, everyone likes it. I saw a really ballsy move that
I have not been able to duplicatebecause I don't have the guts to do
it. But I saw a guystanding in line. There were three lines
at Costco and they're all twenty deep, and the guy was standing in line,

(18:47):
older guy, probably in his youknow, late sixties, early seventies,
and he would say to the womanin front of him, Oh,
you have a receipt, you gotto go on that line, and she
get out of line and go onthe other line, and then he'd say
the guy from oh you got thatreceipt, you should be in that line
over there. And he kept doingit until he got to the front,
and I'm like well, that guylied to everybody and he got his ice

(19:10):
cream and took off. I lovethat guy. Stood Yeah, he like
he works the system, constantly working. That is a Studley movie. It
really is, because the employees willtell you that too, right exactly,
he said it exactly the way right. He didn't. He was just skipping
the line. And I knew that. He knew that. I knew he

(19:33):
did it, but I was behindhim, so I got to move up
too, so I didn't say anything. I was on the move with him.
I was shadowing him. I waswhat do they call that in in
NASCAR, not venting him, butdraft drafting. Yea, I was drafting
him. I was drafting behind him, so I got I was like two
or three behind him. But Iheard him do it like, oh,
you gotta be in that line,No wrong line, you gotta be over

(19:53):
there. You gotta be over there. Get it. And they kept sending
him a different lines, and man, he knocked off like five or six
people. Did you say you followedhim? So you were just right after
him. I was too behind him. Yeah, I drafted him, and
I didn't say anything to the womenor to the guys. He was kicking
out of line. I'm like, yeah, kind of knows what he's talking
about. I guess I don't know. I don't know what's going on.

(20:15):
He knows what's going on. Allright, we'll come back. We have
a fire alert. There's a coupleof minor fires burning around southern California.
We will tell you where they areand what evacuations might be happening in the
near future. So little fire reportwill go back because we are in fire
season, which is, you know, three hundred and sixty five days now

(20:36):
in California. You're listening to TimConway Junior on demand from KFI AM sixty.
Crazy Taxi was one of the bestvideo games ever. I used to
play it sometimes and I would think, Wow, somebody turned the lights on
outside. I don't know, thesun's up. The sun's up. Yeah,
you've been playing all night. That'sthe problem. That is a problem.

(20:57):
All right. It is Friday atfive fifty, and what do we
do every Friday during the summer atfive point fifty. If you're familiar with
the program, you'll know this,Yes, Fire Act. You're gonna break
down where these fires are, who'sbeing affected by the Killie Joe Red China

(21:22):
Johnny Ray supposite qualta whistle job toMagio Jobacopy. Richard missed the student making
television North Korea, South Korea,Marril and mon route. We didn't start
the fire, the rape and munJohn Randall, the King and I,

(21:44):
I and the catcher in the rightIssenhower vaccine. England's got a new queen.
Here we go start the fires.Ah, they are fighting these fires

(22:07):
out there. There are some prettybig ones to tell you about. We're
not going to go through all ofthe fires because there are some tiny,
tiny ones as well, but thebig ones here in southern California. Of
course, you have the Woodland fire. It was it started on the tenth,
which I believe was Tuesday. It'scontinuing. It's sixty percent contained.

(22:30):
It's out in the Santa Clarita area. For you geography nuts out there,
it's the Woodland Fire, twenty pointthree acres, sixty percent contained, so
it looks like they got to handleon that. The big one is the
Lake fire burning up north, andI think it's in Lompoc or Santa Barbara.

(22:51):
Yeah, Santa Barbara. Sixteen percentcontained and burning thirty six almost thirty
seven thousand and acres. That's ahuge, huge fire. All right.
So those are two. We gotthe Vista fire. If you live near
Krozier Krozer, can you smell thesmoke or see it from the Vista fire?

(23:11):
Haven't yet? Okay? All right, well look for it's coming your
way. It started on the seventh, so it started last week and it
continues. Seventeen percent contained. Twothousand, eight hundred and seventy nine acres
have been burned. Then we goeast to the Bluff Fire, the Bluff

(23:32):
fire, and that's a relatively newone. It's burned about fifty acres.
Forty percent contained. The Bluff Fire. For again, for you know,
geography nuts out there, people areyou know? I love geography. I'll
tell you where it's. It's nearBeaumont. It's east of Beaumont before you
get to Owl. It's between Owland Beaumont out there on your way to

(23:56):
Marongo. Actually, where's a pastMoran? No, I think it's Yeah,
it's before Marongo, before Maranga. All right, So that's another one
that we're keeping an eye on.And then we have the the I think
it's Pauba fire. I'm hoping I'mpronouncing that right. Pauba, Pauba.
That fire is one hundred and oneacres zero percent containment out near Temecula,

(24:22):
east of Temecula off the seventy nine. And that's the one I'm worried about,
and I'm not worried about the otherones. They got a pretty good
hold on it. But I'm worriedabout all the vegetation and the zero percent
containment in the one hundred and oneacres in this area. Riverside County Fire
Department is on a cal fire ison it as well, so they're gonna

(24:45):
be fire fighting this fire for quitesome time. And again it's it's just
east of Temecula by about five milesor so, up in the eastern hills
there, and that's where it's happening. It says about one hundred acres at
this point, one hundred acres.Okay, all right, I'm worried about

(25:06):
that one. Croz. I've yeah, I've seen fires burn in that area
and I don't like them. Idon't like them at all. And the
weird thing about this fire is itsstarting. It started east. I think
it's I think it's burning west ormaybe this map is just backwards, but
it's literally off the seventy nine.If you're on the seventy nine coming out
of Temecula going east, it's onyour left hand side, the north side

(25:30):
of that freeway. Pauba paub afire out there east of Temecula. So
there's your fire update. Hopefully we'llhave good news by Monday. They'll have
a couple of these knocked down orcompletely controlled. It's been a wild year
for fires in California. There areI think so far thirty five hundred fires

(25:56):
that have burned this year. Isthat right? Or is that thirty six
hundred, thirty six hundred and thirtywildfires totaling three hundred and seventeen thousand,
almost three hundred eighteen thousand acres. One fatality, one civilian, zero firefighters
have been killed. One hundred andforty eight structures have been lost in the
state of California, fifty damage, ninety eight destroyed, So one hundred and

(26:18):
forty eight structures, fifty damaged, ninety eight destroyed. And there are fires
burning throughout southern California and central andnorthern California. So if you are traveling,
maybe you're going to use semite tosee all the crazy toilet paper up
there. That's possible. You're goingto see some fires on the way.
They're burning all along the route toUsemite. You got one outside of Fresno,

(26:41):
which is a fairly big fire, fourteen thousand acres. They call that
the Basin Fire for you fire nutsout there or shutter bugs. I don't
know what you are. I don'tknow who I'm talking to. So there's
another one, the Shearing Fire isall the way. Is also up near
the Sierra Nevada. That is fivehundred twenty eight acres, but eighty nine
was ninety percent contained, so that'salmost out. And then in Sacramento,

(27:04):
just north of Sacramento, another twohundred and sixty acre fire with fifty percent
containment. And then there's one inthe mountains there the Royal Fire, and
that one is thirty percent contained, two hundred and fifteen acres at burned.
There are planes flying all over Californiatrying to put these fires out. There
is a huge one, the ShelleyFire in northern California burning ten thousand,

(27:27):
two hundred and twenty five acres withone percent containment one percent, and there
are a lot of planes on thatone. That could be a mess.
That's It's about forty miles south ofthe Oregon border, and there are a
lot of trees in that area anda lot of things to burn in that

(27:48):
Mount Shasta, guy Rica or Eurekawhatever, they're both up there, but
that's the Klamath National Forest up there, and there are tons a ton of
fuel up there, especially with allthe rain we've had. So there is
your fire update, Dingdong. Withthese fires, hope cal Fire, Riverside
Fire and local companies have a greatweekend putting these things down. We're live

(28:11):
