the iHeartRadio app Conway Show one tofour pm and then live on demand from
one to four pm or iHeart Appfour to seven pm, and then you
(00:22):
can download at one to four pm. Feel bad saying that, but I
guess we all don't feel bad sayingthat. Whatever. Whatever, All right?
Maybe you have State Farm insurance. You got State Farm, I don't
know. Maybe you got State Farm. You're looking at a thirty percent hike
(00:45):
in your rates? Is that possible? It's critical to understand that nothing changes
today for State Farm policy holders.State Farm is asking for a thirty percent
rate increase next year on the heelsof a reset rate hike of almost twenty
percent as they drop many policy holders. They are the largest residential homeowners insurers
(01:07):
in California, ensuring one in fivehomes. The rate filing that State Farm
just made yesterday, they're triggering ararely used part of the insurance law.
It's a regulation that's really meant toaddress a company's financial solvency. That's what
they're saying. And we're going tolook closely at them, and we have
(01:29):
some serious questions about state farms financialcondition, and we're going to get to
the bottom of it. Okay, this is a big problem. You know,
if you have state farm and youlook and you had a twenty percent
increase, then a thirty percent increase, I don't know account that as a
fifty percent increase, but that's abig problem that you know. A lot
of stores are leaving, crimes up, and big insurance companies are bailing.
(01:53):
I mean, this is the greateststate in the world. What's going on
with us? Why do we haveso many so much crime? Why do
we have so much destruction? Withthe big insurance companies are splitting? Is
it the fires, earthquake possibility,I don't know, flood, whatever it
is. But when you have majorcompanies pulling out of California and major insurance
(02:15):
companies, major stores that are leaving, Walgreens, right Aid, some pizza
huts, some other restaurants in OrangeCounty are splitting, why is everyone leaving?
Are they leaving because they can't makeenough money? Yeah, that's exactly
right. They're not making enough money, so they're leaving. I don't know
(02:36):
if you've noticed this, but whenyou go to a fast food place.
I should say, when you goto Del Taco, there's two people working
there. You used to be fivepeople back there throwing all that stuff together
for you. Now there's two people, guy working the register and the drive
through, and another guy working hisass off making all the tacos and the
burritos. And they put that togetherpretty quickly because they can't with that meal.
(03:01):
They can't afford to keep five peopleten people working there. I did
notice this last night that not onlyare there fewer people working by, there
are fewer deals out there. Wedrove through McDonald's. The five dollars deal
is out there. We got itlast night. My wife and I treated
(03:23):
her to a five dollar meal.Kind of romantic. But it's a chicken
sandwich, small fries, four nuggets, and a soda for five bucks.
Now they also offer the double cheeseburger. That's six bucks. Add another dollar
to it. You get the doublecheeseburger, small fries, four nuggets,
(03:47):
and a coke for six bucks. That's a sweet deal. But I will
warn you, well, it's adouble burger, single cheese. They don't
double up on the cheese. Theyput it between the two patties. Well,
I think that's the mcdouble. Oh, that's a mcdouble. Yeah,
that's the difference. Always the onecheese. There's two cheeses. No,
the one you got I think isa regular double. Oh I see,
(04:10):
but the mcdouble comes with the cheese. I don't know why they decided to
switch that. Yeah, they're tryingto save on that extra slice of cheese.
Man, But that is a that'llfill you up for five bucks at
McDonald's. And then after I noticedthat that deal was available, I also
noticed, very observant a lot morepeople in line at McDonald's than there were
a week ago. So it's working. A lot of people are sliding in
(04:33):
there to get the five or sixdollars meal and it's available. It's out
there, so go grab it.I think you'll enjoy it, and you're
going to save a lot of money, a lot of money. Well,
right's get back to State Farm. What are they doing here? How much
are they charging? And what areyour options if you have State Farm to
go with another company? It mightbe also very expensive. In a statement
(04:56):
today, State Farm told ABC sevenNews state Farm General is working toward its
long term sustainability. In California, rate changes are driven by increase costs and
risk. The California Department of Insurancesaid they're finishing up regulatory revisions that should
give homeowners more insurance options in twentytwenty five, and in this insurance crisis
(05:17):
we're in right now, that isreally the big problem facing Californians that there
are not enough options, particularly ifyou're in a place that has any kind
of wildfire risk. And so we'reworking on some not only wildfire risk,
but a lot of a holes drivingway too fast in California. You see
it every day. You're on thefreeway doing seventy, you know, miles
(05:40):
an hour, and a guy fliesby you like you're standing still, going
one hundred and twenty. I seeit every time I'm on the freeway.
And so we're working on some changesto the insurance regulations, long needed,
overdue reforms that are going to leadto more choices for consumers. State farm
customers could potentially see their rates goup on their renewal date in twenty twenty
(06:01):
five, not immediately. Okay, that's good information. They're gonna wait till
twenty twenty five to jack up yourrates. Elton john Is in the news.
Elton John's clothes are being auctioned off. Next up Elton John, along
with Grammy Winners, the legendary voiceof Elton. He's also famous, of
course for his fashion. Well,if everyone's addressed like the Rocketman, you're
(06:26):
in luck. Elton's putting his closetup for auction. You can head over
to Rocketman Resale. It's on theeBay. It features hundreds of items from
the iconic singer's wardrobe. Rocketman Resaleon eBay. You can go buy Elton's
pants. One hundred percent of thesales are gonna go to benefit Elton's AIDS
Foundation. Oh that's good, allright, So it's going for a good
cause. One hundred percent of thesales are gonna go to benefit Elton's AIDS
(06:47):
Foundation. And here's a little tasteof what's in store. I'm saying goodbye
to all my old clothes. Therewill be sequin, Leopard, Grada tracks,
concept tees. The first goodbye toall his old clothes. Goodbye to
all my old clothes. Yeah, ding wrong with those clothes. Goodbye to
(07:11):
all my old clothes. He canhave Elton's old clothes. Actually, Donna
tell him may want some of thoseback. She can bid on it like
everyone else. It's for charity.Do you imagine what is in his collection?
Showed something I thought he was goingto say, closet. Can you
imagine what's in his collection? Doyou imagine what is in his collection?
(07:36):
Shows? Imagine what's in his closet? Right, goodbye to all my old
clothes? Thing wrong with his clothes? Showed some of the subtle stuff too,
Yeah, like just a good classicCrosses. The Rocketman resale is open
forbidding right now. Rocket Man resaleall the going to age research. That's
(07:57):
a good deal. So go buyElton's old clothes, right, I don't
know. I think the only personhere that could pull that off is probably
Krozier. You could probably slide intoElton's clothes and people wouldn't make funny Goodbye
to all my old clothes? Wouldyou wear anything any of Elton's old clothes?
Sure? What nice tight jackets?Yes? Maybe his colored salts.
(08:22):
He has a lot of colored salt, does he? Yeah, he has
a whole salt drawer that colored salt. They all have rhyin stons on him.
They do Goodbye to all my oldclothes? Doorg Shohnny trinkets. Yeah,
all right, Elton's clothes are goingaway? Is that a joke?
You think, good bye to allmy old clothes jokes? It's not a
(08:45):
jewel, It's not a joke. All right, Elton's clothes are going away.
You're listening to Tim conwaytun you're ondemand from kf I AM six forty.
We're coming up very quickly on Julyfourth. Tomorrow's Tuesday, then Wednesday,
and then Thursday is July fourth.Big parade down in Huntington Beach locally
(09:07):
here in Burbank. There's going tobe a big celebration at the outdoor arena
there and I think they call itthe Bowl, a starlight Bowl, that's
what it is, Starlight Bowl.Pa Bellio. You were hearing some rumor
that there was a power outage. There was, uh it wasn't a big
area though, but it's back onit. It's back on yeah yeah,
(09:31):
uh, Okay, Okay, somethinghappened, but it's over. Okay,
all right, that's great, allright, dig dam ding down. All
right, we do have some morebad metro news. Oh. Speaking of
bad metro news, we missed MoeKelly who was gone for about a week
(09:52):
and a half he went over tofight in Korea. I don't think that
came out right, not that kindof fighting. I mean he went over
there to do battle with in Korea, didn't he he went over to fight
in Korea? I think he didwent over there to get people to what
(10:13):
fur He went over there and hewas the referee for fighting. Anyway,
he spent a week and a halfin Korea, and he's going to come
on at seven o'clock tonight and tellyou about his experience in Korea. Now,
a lot of us have never beento Korea. A lot of us
will never be going to Korea. So we can only live vicariously through people
who get out there and do that. And he spent a week and a
(10:35):
half in Korea, and he said, man, what a trip. So
at seven o'clock tonight, in fortyand thirty nine and a half minutes,
he's going to be coming on andtalking about what it's like in Korea.
You'll want to listen to that.I know I do. So I'm going
to be running into my car, jumping to my car and listening to him
as I drive around burbank and findthat power outage. Man, all right,
(11:01):
the gun store ransacked in Ventura County. What's going on with that?
We have breaking news from Camarillo, that is where authorities are on the hunt
for a group of burglars who stoleseveral handguns from a gun store. Oh
that's not good. Not good. It's a live look of the scene along
Ventura Boulevard near Camden Drive. Now. The Ventura County Sheriff's Department says four
(11:22):
to five people rammed into the Cameriogun Store just before four point thirty this
morning. Once they got inside, they ransacked the business, stealing several guns
before taking off in a different vehicle. Oh boy, all right, well
thing dog, what can you do? I'm people are stealing everything, everything
(11:43):
is leaving the store. Everything.Glendale fire destroyed at least one business in
the area. Glendale. What's goingon out there. We're standing in front
of what's left of the Miller PartyRentals here in Glendale, and you can
see the building now redtag. Theroof has laps and it's just dangling their
parts of it, making it extremelydangerous for us and investigators to get in
(12:05):
and try to determine exactly what startedthis massive fire. Take a look at
the video yesterday. Police and firefightersbelieve the fire started at Mille Party Rentals,
which was a total loss inside, and then it quickly spread to a
nearby business, destroying that too.The intense black smoke could be seen for
(12:26):
miles around as this fire raged, and even though it was Sunday, we're
told the businesses were working and employeeswere successfully evacuated. No injuries reported.
The fire so intense it was actuallyupgraded to a fifth alarm, which brought
in firefighters from surrounding cities. Ohwow, I think Burbank showed up.
So they needed Burbank, probably Pasadenato help them out like Pasadena and La
(12:50):
City fire. Again, no injuriesreported. Now bringing it back here live,
we believe this is Starmaker's costumes andparts, at least what's left of
it. Also destroyed the building housingsome offices there and then whatever we're standing
here, all the way to theback other structures. Oh that's a bad
(13:11):
deal. Fire in Glendale. Idon't know if you saw this. Krozier
talked a little bit about the stingraythat got pregnant without being in an aquarium
with the with the male stingray. Now that happened. Kind of odd.
Hope nobody abused the stingray. Butthe Stingray didn't make it out of a
(13:33):
tragic update about the North Carolina Stingray. They gained international fame earlier this year.
Rather Charlotte the Stingray. Charlotte theStingray. Oh boy, Charlotte the
Stingray has died. Jewel Hendersonville's teamEcho, announcing the news on its Facebook
page on Sunday. Charlotte made globalheadlines this year when she became pregnant despite
(13:54):
having no males in the tank withher. Something odd there. But in
late May, the aquarium amount Charlottewas no longer pregnant and that instead she
had developed a reproductive disease. NoCharlotte at the beginning, What did he
say here a tragic update about thetragic update? Yeah, I don't know.
I think we're using that term alittle loosely there. I think tragedy
(14:18):
is when two seven forty seven's collideover the Midwest and eight hundred people are
no longer with us. I thinkthat's a tragedy. I think the Titanic
is a tragedy. I think thatsome of these wars, there's tragedy,
but I don't know Stingray leaving us. I think we were over using that
(14:41):
term. Bow to a tragic updateabout the North Carolina Stingray the tragic update.
All right, well maybe you're reallyradically into Stingrays. That's possible as
well. Thig dong with you,all right, real live on KFI.
We've got I got some information foryou here. And I can't remember what
the hell I did with And Iknow we had a promo. We did
(15:05):
the Dodger promo and the we didthe other one promo as well. I
think we already did it. Yeah, yeah, we did it. We
did the feature on the promo, right, yeah, okay, all right,
we already did it. Okay,God Almighty, I tell you this
is Bellio is great man, andshe did, you know, constantly talking
(15:26):
to me like I'm a child aroundhere. I don't get it, ma'am,
I don't get it. All right, July fourth is coming up.
When we come back, we'll tellyou where you can see legal firework displays
here in southern California. Maybe you'relooking for somewhere to take the kids,
maybe take your wife, your husband, your mom or dad. I don't
(15:50):
know. Whoever is going out tosee fireworks by they're the organized ones where
you're not gonna, you know, get blown up. A lot of people
and home fireworks and getting their armsblown off and hands blown off. That's
not good. That's not good.Welcome back where the legal firework displays are

everybody's like, you know, aloss mccatt, lost dog. Hey we're
the coyotes. Hey we hear sirens. Now it's like gunshots. Does everybody
hear gunshots every night on the apps? Getting the notifications like all fireworks or
maybe the gunshots. I don't know, but they but they're going off all

this out. The Los Alamatos thirdof July Fireworks Spectacular. I thought that

(19:10):

website, Cityoflosalamados dot org. Wednesday, July third, twenty twenty four,
(19:30):

So I don't know. They stillhave an event, just without fireworks.
Oh maybe maybe that's possible. That'sreally fun. O hi, Oh
that's a different one. All right. There's Bellio with her breaking news the
Long Beach. Yeah, Almido Spabeis that the big bang on the bay?
(19:52):
Is that same thing? Yeah, the Long Beach, I think so

Fourth of July Fireworks and family Picnicat Ventura College, and then fourth
of July Fireworks by the Sea andChannel Islands on July fourth. You were
talking about Long Beach, the onethat was that big bang on the Bay,
that was the one that was canceledbecause they said that organized they said
(22:45):
that they hadn't gotten the permits inon time. And there's been some contention
over that because the guy who's sortof in charge of putting the thing together,
he's refuting that there's a whole bigthing going on between the two.
But did you mention the one inSampedro, No, that's the one that
that's nearly seventy five year old,and the big Bang one that was July
third, that that one's canceled. But there's a seventy five year old one
(23:07):
in sam Pedro. That will bereplaced with a drone show, all right,
and that's going to take place actuallyon July sixth, on Saturday.
Have you ever seen one of thosedrone shows. They're unbelievable. I haven't,
I mean not in person, butyeah, they look pretty amazing.
Yeah, they're pretty pretty cool. You don't get the big bangs. Doesn't
scare the hell out of the dogsand the pets. And they do have
some pretty i mean extensive artwork thatthey can do with drones, so they
(23:32):
don't have like any sound, justthe sound of the drones. I mean,
they'll they'll probably play music, butit's just that you gotta be you
gotta be around wherever a speaker is. Otherwise it's kind of weird to watch
all of the decorating in the skywith no yeah, no, no,
if you're not near a speaker, although you could be sitting next to somebody
who describes every one of them, and that's also a pain in the ass.
(23:55):
Like all red ooh blue, right, oh oh green? But turned
bred? Why'd they do that?Oh? Look at it? This is
my favorite. People always say thatit's my favorite. Yeah, what's your
favorite, the big huge one?Yeah, I like that one, you
know what, the one at theend, Yeah, I like that one.
That one's my favorite. I likethat. Oh that's my favorite.
(24:17):
Not a jewel, Yeah it isit. So for that for that drone
show in Laguna Beat they have alocal radio station there in town and they'll
have a live audio simulcast most prepatriotic music during that show. Wow,
Yeah, that's that's neat all right, And I like the choice went out
(24:37):
there on a limb patriotic music. But the yea drone who knew Halloween music?
Yeah, all Santa Claus Christmas treesup there with the drone shows and
a guy going, what what Ithought? It was a joke? Not
a jew It is a joke. You're listening to Tim Conway's and you're on
(25:00):
demand from KFI AM six forty.Sorry. I got stung in the mouth
by a b over the weekend. That's bothering me, and it got all
swollen, So I apologize. I'vebeen trying to hide it throughout the show,
but it's starting to swell up prettygood, so I really apologize,
(25:23):
all right. Disney is honoring warvets. I can't think of anything more
honorable, honorable than that honoring warvets or to Samara, who's helping us
honor a fellow Disney cast member.Hey, Samara, A good morning.
Yeah, this is really a heartwarmingstory and inspiring. Inspiring ceremony took place
at epcock this week. Who washonoring our colleague John Aaran, the senior
(25:48):
manager of Casting Services for Disney ExperiencesNow. John, a US Army veteran,
was awarded the Purple Heart for hismilitary valor and the injuries he sustained
during active service and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Received his Purple Heart from fellow Disney
employee Jenna Work, who is amajor in the US Air Force Reserve.
Surrounded by family, friends and fellowveterans. Congratulations John for an honor well
(26:11):
deserved and thank you for your service. That is cool, all right.
At the Equestrian Center in Lakewood, and they're threatening to close this thing.
It's been around, I think forten thousand years. They give you an
opportunity to distress, to just lovethem. The Equestrian Center is a labor
(26:33):
of love. More than that,it's therapy for her real job. Having
been a first responder since the lasteighteen years of my life. Finding ways
to manage the stress that you comeinto is huge. There has to be
other ways besides going and seeing atherapist. Taylor cochah tell me about it.
Yeah, it's gotta be a differentway. So these people go to
the Equestrian Center and that helps themout. Taylor Cohen is devastated by the
(26:56):
news the city is shutting it downdue to costs up running it. The
pro there's nowhere for horses to go. Some won't actually be able to be
moved because of age or health issues. On that, there's no place around
here that actually will board all ofthese horses. There are more than one
hundred horses in this facility, miniaturehorses, even mules, some retired,
(27:17):
others for riding and training. Partof the land is owned by the county,
the other part Edison. The cityhas plans to wipe it out and
build a park with pickleball courts.Okay, so horses are gonna be moved
out and we're gonna have more pickleballcourts. Great with pickleball courts, leaving
people who use the unique Equestrian Centerat a loss. Yeah, more pickleball
(27:41):
less horses we have nowhere else toGondy's that a pickleball or horse guy.
We have nowhere else to go.Huntington Beach Questrian Center, they're fully of
a thirty five horse waitlist. I'mactually from Huntington Beach. I drive eighteen
to thirty minutes together. You're dependingon traffic, and I'm up here sometimes
twice a day. Wow out ofa cool bit of information guys from Honeyton
(28:03):
Beach, and he drives up thereto the horses. Clakewood City Council halted
their vote to give people more timeto plan a proposal to takeover managing it.
The facility needs six million dollars inrepairs, and they would have to
work out a way to pay Edisonthe lease. What the facility needs six
million dollars in repairs, six milliondollars to repair stables come on of more
(28:26):
than forty thousand dollars, and thenthey owe Edison forty grand on top of
that, I think every month torent to work out a way to pay
Edison the lease of more than fortythousand dollars. Riders like mckelamahan are hoping
someone can grab the reins and savethis Hayn for her and the horses.
Yeah, that's got a lot though. Six million dollars. Man, you
(28:47):
could build a whole new stable forsix million dollars. Honestly, all these
beautiful horses would be out of ahome, and I think that would be
very sad. Yeah, that's toobad. But and what are they gonna
do with these horses? Where arethey going to go, where are they
gonna live? What's gonna go on? I don't know. I don't know
all right. Brand new laws inthe state of California went into effect today,
(29:12):
so you're gonna know what they arebefore you get arrested or thrown in
jail. A lot of new lawsare going into effect today that could definitely
impact you, your family, andeven your next summer vacation. The first
one I'm going to break down hasto do with hidden fees. It's something
that we've all dealt with. Soif you ordered food on a delivery app
or you're planning to get a vacationrental this summer, it's now illegal for
(29:34):
businesses to advertise a price and thenadd hidden fees at the time of purchase.
Oh, I didn't know that. It's now illegal for businesses it's illegal.
It's now illegal for businesses to advertisea price and then add hidden fees
at the time of purchase. Yeah. I don't know what's happening to service
nowadays. But last night, ateleven o'clock, I ordered a pizza and
(29:57):
I don't want to say who it'sfrom. I don't want to bust the
guy's balls. You know, heowns a business. He's got to stay
afloat. So I ordered the pizzaat eleven o'clock. They said he'll be
there at eleven forty, and ateleven forty I didn't see any pizza guys.
So I called him up and theysaid they were closed, but if
you'd order pizza, it's on itsway. And I waited until midnight twelve
(30:21):
fifteen, still had hope, stillhad hope. At twelve thirty, nothing,
no call, no pizza, nothing. I went to bed and I
felt like a total loser, likeI even had hope an hour and a
half after the delivery that that pizzawas still coming. And I never got
(30:41):
it, man, never got it. I finally shut the door and locked
it and went to bed, pizzaless and burbank completely pizzless. I don't
know it's ever happened to you,but it's depressing. It sounds like it
doesn't sound like a bit deal,but as a downer, order a pizza
(31:02):
and you wait for it and you'rehungry as hell and never shows up.
All right, Look it's back fromKorea. Mo Kelly, how you Bob
Man. It's good to be back. It's good to see. Yeah,
you know what we did miss you. There's been a lot of action on
Metro since you've been gone. YouKing got killed, unfortunately killed, I
run over, run around, youknow, it's no one was here to
keep an eye on Metro while youwere gone. It was funny, not
(31:26):
funny, haha, but funny inthe sense of when I was away,
I didn't check the news at all. Oh really. I completely divorced myself
for all of that and it changedeverything, you know, it changed my
perspective of vacation and life. Andthen you realize how much unimportant stuff that
we're bombarded with. It really don'timpact our lives other than news consumption.
(31:48):
Yeah, that's right. So Korea? Is that the first time there?
First time in Asia? So yes? Oh really? Okay? And what
were your initial thoughts the US couldlearn a lot from South Area. People
behaved over there. Not only that, there's a sophistication with how much they
respect each other, respect where theylive. Education, healthcare, technology are
(32:13):
all very very important, and it'smore about do you have a respect for
where you are, not who youare? Was it mainly in South Korea
that you went? No, Idid not stray anywhere near the DMZ,
with exception of flying into Inchient Soeoul. Okay, all right, but what
have you What did you notice aboutlike the nightlife for people out drinking and
(32:36):
enjoying themselves. They have in certaindistricts, especially in Seoul, which is
a very modern city, a veryinternational city. They will have vendors who
will come out Monday through Sunday andthey will sell food, gifts, but
you'll see all the locals come outas well. It's a very vibrant nightlife.
You don't have to worry about crimeat all. Crime is Crime is
(32:58):
not a thing. It just isn't. I also heard it was very clean.
It is immaculate. There are notrash. Why can't we do that?
There are no trash cans, trashhas picked up every single night.
Wow. So if you were toget something to eat. You don't know
where to put your trash. Usuallyif you go to a store, they'll
take your trash from you because andthen they'll put the trash down on the
(33:20):
street late at night and it's pickedup every single night. The place is
immaculate. And how was the foodit was? It was wonderful. Yeah,
it was wonderful. Did you saya nice place, nice hotel in
Seoul? I? Uh no,Bussan. I stayed at the Commodore Hotel,
which is a very old hotel, but technologically it beats everything here.
And when I was in Seoul,I stayed up I think this pronounced Lotti
(33:40):
Loti hotel, that's an upscale hotel. Was great. All right, man,
shall you be talking about it forthe first couple of segments? Yes,
I'll be listening. Man, that'sgreat. I always want to go
I want to go to I wantto go to Japan or China or you
know, or Korea, because everybodythat comes back there there they have two
things that they tell They tell youhow great it is and they tell you
they can't wait to go back.Same here, man. Do you go
(34:04):
in Korea? Green Airlines Air KoreanAirlines? Yes, I did Grand Air
without stopping direct. Oh that's along flun. Wait what made it longer
was they didn't have Wi Fi eitherway. Oh no, True Story wasn't
working. They didn't even introduce iton the airline until last month. I
don't know why that app. Ifit's a satellite issue, I have no
(34:25):
idea. What'd you watch movies?I had downloaded like seven eight movies in
advance. Thank on this? Goodfor you? Think it ahead all right?
