With the Chargers game pre-empting Conway at 6pm, the show packed in a powerful hour. Listeners got the latest on Charlie Kirk’s memorial service this Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, including ticket info and who’s expected to attend. The team also dug deeper into Tyler Robinson’s chilling plot to carry out the attack and broke down the White House’s urgent $58 million request to Congress for protecting government officials. A stark reminder closed the segment: the most dangerous threats often come from people who feel they have nothing to lose.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI Am sixty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
All right, it is Monday.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
We're gonna have a brief show here for two hours,
two hours, and then the Chargers take on Crozier.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Pop quiz. Who do the Chargers play tonight? The Los
Angeles Raders. That's right, LA.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Well, I think it's I think they moved back to
LA overnight. It should be a good game.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Maybe it will be a great game, it will be
a horrible game, but it'll be right here on KFI.
So yeah, it's gonna be one of the other great
game or crappy game, but it's gonna be right here
on KFI.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
And you can if you're a Raiders fan.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And there are a lot of Raiders fans in LA,
lots of them because every time I used to fly
to Oregon to see my wife's family, and if we
left it early on a Sunday morning, almost every single
seat was a fan because the plane the Southwest Plaine
would stop in Oakland and then go Oakland to Portland,

(01:05):
and we'd be the only ones going to Portland.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Everybody got off that plane in Oakland.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
There are a hell of a lot of Raiders fans
here at Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I would say there's.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Probably more Raiders fans in LA than Sar than Las Vegas,
for sure, one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I mean, you know, like lifelong fans.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
One hundred percent sure there are more fans in LA
than there are in Las Vegas. I would bet my
life on my mom at my life, my house man
that a couple bucks, maybe a ten spot, I don't know.
All right, A long weekend for a lot of people
who are absorbing everything Charlie Kirk, everything that you want

(01:48):
to know more about the assassin, you want to know
about his family, you want to know about the service
that is going to be happening this Sunday. You want
as much information as you can get, and I'm here
to give it to you. So we are going to
do Charlie Kirk for three hours a day until New
Year's So if you don't like it, toughs.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
No.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
We are going to talk about it a lot though,
because I tell you I have never witnessed a death
in modern times. I wasn't around the you know, I
was five in nineteen sixty eight when Martin Luther King
Junior and John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy were well.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
John F.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Kennedy was sixty three, but in the sixties I was well.
I could think I was three weeks old or four
weeks old when John F. Kennedy got shot, So I
don't remember much about that at all. I was five
when Martin Luther King Junior was shot, and so I

(02:51):
remember much about that either. I barely remember sitting on
my parents' bed in nineteen sixty nine watching the moon landing.
You know, all of us sitting in my bed, on
my mom and dad's bed. We couldn't believe that there
was somebody walking on the moon. And since then I
still am in disbelief that we ever did that. But
that's for another program. I could have saved you people

(03:14):
a lot of headache and a lot of anguish if
you just listened to me last week.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Remember on Thursday, either Thursday or Friday.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
We started the program by saying, Hey, if you're smart,
go have a cigarette and enjoy yourself. But if you're dumb,
keep listening to the radio. It's just for dummies. And
I told you, I said, you can celebrate Charlie Kirk's
death inside your house with your friends, with your family.

(03:44):
Don't put it on video, and don't put it online.
Those are two things you shouldn't do. And then people
went and did it. Obviously they're not big listeners of
the Conway program. And lots of people are being terminated,
thrown out of school, thrown out of work, thrown out

(04:06):
of families. And you created a huge headache for yourself
because it's gonna be very tough to get your next job,
because people are gonna ask why you left your last one,
and you're like, why did you leave your last job? Well,
I put out a ten minute video on how I
enjoyed the assassination of Charlie Cook. Okay, well we'll call

(04:27):
you and then good night, it's over. I could have
saved you a ton of money, could have saved you
a ton of headache. But a lot of people didn't listen.
A lot of really self destructive people out there. And
then I said to the audience, if I were turning

(04:47):
point USA, I think I said this on Thursday or Friday.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I think it was Friday, maybe Thursday. That once, whenever.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
They do the celebration of life or the Few or
the service whatever, they call it, they should open up
State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona, And I just sort
of quietly said that, thinking, you know, it may or
may not happen. But if I was running Turning Point USA,
which is the company the Charlie Kirk ran until he
was assassinated at age thirty one, I would open up

(05:20):
that stadium, that State Farm Stadium. And if I were
a State Farm or actually the people that own that stadium,
I would do it for free and you know, take
the concessions or just a good will that goes out
in the community for not charging Turning Point USA for
that service, because they're not charging people to get in.

(05:43):
I have a couple of friends who are already registered
for tickets, and you can register for tickets for that service,
and they're free. The downside is it's first come, first serve,
so even though you have a ticket, you're not guaranteed
a seat. I think there's sixty five or seventy thousand.
I think it's fifty in the high fifties a thousand
people that are going to be at that stadium on

(06:05):
Sunday at State Farms Stadium. I think it's in Glendale. Krowzer,
you know your stadiums. Is that in Glendale Airs or
I As a matter of fact, I forgot we had
the Duke. The Duke is Sports by the way, that's
in Glendale, Arizona.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
How far is Glendale from Phoenix. I think it's only
like twenty minutes. I think really, I think that whole
area is pretty close. It's like our Glendale. Yeah, pretty
much copy of everything we do. You know you could
say that, Yeah, right, I.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Think they Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
What they don't copy is traffic because the I'll tell
you quick story about Phoenix.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
My brother used to live down there.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
They wanted to build a new freeway that encircles Phoenix
so people can get around easier, and they didn't have
enough money to do it publicly. There wasn't enough interest.
So private company came in. They worked with the public company,
the Department Transportation. They built it in record time, came
under budget, and it's spectacular. People can get around Phoenix
like it's nineteen fifty eight. Ten minutes everywhere, five minutes,

(07:01):
ten minutes everywhere. So Phoenix has it going on. So
the stadium is State Farm Stadium. The downside, I don't
know what time I'm gonna look up what time this
service begins. I'm trying to find more information on it
right now. But the downside is if you do go,
you have to be in line at eight am. So

(07:21):
if you're not an early bird, you're gonna be one.
You're gonna be an early bird and you got to
get in line at eight am, eight am. Jump online
there and.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You know.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
And I think I am predicting over three hundred and
fifty thousand people. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna
I'm gonna correct. I'm gonna change that. I'm gonna guess
five hundred thousand people. A half million people will be
at that service. I think the only people that won't

(07:55):
go to that service are people that are afraid to
run in to a huge crowd and people that don't
do well in crowds. I think those are the only
people that are not going to go. I think everybody
else it's going to be an absolute mob. And I
They're gonna be coming from all over the place, not

(08:17):
just Arizona. You're gonna see convoys coming from Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Portland, on the West coast. You're going to
see the Midwest represented, the South, the East Coast. But
I think, and again, these are all predictions, and you know,
we're not supposed to really be in the prediction business,
But what the hell. I think you're going to see

(08:38):
convoy after convoy of people leaving Los Angeles on Saturday
and driving to Phoenix with something on their car that
identifies them as a Charlie Kirk fan. Maybe his initials,
maybe a Bible reference, maybe a turning Point USA sticker,

(08:59):
maybe an American flag. I think you're going to see
a guy who leaves you know, I don't know, let's
say Tarzana, and he's gonna drive with his wife and
he's going to go to the stadium to see the
Charlie Kirk memorial. He'll be on the freeway, maybe has
a little ret, you know, he's an American flag on his car.
And then he'll see another guy with you know, the

(09:20):
initials of Charlie Kirk. They'll see another one, another one,
another one, and there'll be potentially thousands of cars that
are lining that freeway going towards Arizona and Phoenix. Because people,
and I know people like this. I've talked to some
people over the weekend. They can't deal with this. I

(09:42):
know it sounds silly, it sounds strange that they've never
met the guy, they don't know anybody who knows him.
Yet they feel like a family member died and they
have to go to Arizona because they feel like they're
going to pay their respect. They owe that to Charlie
Kirk and Charlie Kirk's family, and I think they're gonna
be five. I think there's gonna be a half million

(10:04):
people there in Arizona. All right, when we come back,
I'm gonna have more details. Newsweek has the whole line
up here and what's gonna happen on Sunday. So when
we come back, I'll tell you what's gonna happen with
the Charlie Kirk memorial.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Donald Trump will be there.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
If you're a big Donald Trump fan, I imagine there'll
be some celebrities there, but there'll be a hell of
a lot of politicians there. I think everybody in who's
calls themselves a Republican in the Senate will be there,
and I think anyone who calls themselves a Republican in
Congress will also be there as well. I think everyone

(10:39):
will try to get down there. I know that Donald
Trump is opening up air Force one to anybody that
wants to go, and so they'll probably leave air I
don't know, probably around four in the morning, maybe even
Saturday night, and get there late Saturday night. But I
think I think they're gonna leave early Sunday morning. And
so we come back all the details for what's going
on this Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona e Glendale, Arizona at

(11:02):
State Farm Stadium with the Charlie Kirk Memorial. It's Conway Show.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
So Charlie Kirk service is going to be on Sunday.
Memorial service. Here are some details. According to Newsweek, memorial
service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who is assassinated while
speaking at Utah Valley University last Wednesday, will be this Sunday,
September twenty first, in Arizona. President Donald Trump will be there.

(11:37):
JD Vance will be there as well. I think jd
Vance is one of Charlie Kirk's closest pals. And it'll
you got to get in line if you have tickets,
and it's very easy to get tickets. You just send
an email, and evidently they just email you right back
with a barcode and a ticket and you're in. But

(11:58):
if the President's going to be there, there'll be a
lot of restrictions.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
They'll know.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
You won't be able to carry any backpacks in. I
think everything's in that see through plastic bag. Probably. Even
though I believe Arizona is a carry state, I don't
think you can carry a weapon in there.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
It seem odd if you could.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
And turning Point and Turning Point USA and turning Point
Action announce that Kirk's life will celebration will take place
September twenty. First, you have to be in line at
eight am, eight o'clock in the morning with a ticket
in hand, and the service starts at eleven am. So
if it starts at eleven am, there's no way Donald

(12:41):
Trump's coming in on a Saturday. He'll leave the White
House probably I don't know, at eight o'clock in DC,
which you'll probably get him in there around nine thirty
or ten local time, and then over to the arena.
And I don't know where the closest air field is
at the land in Phoenix or if there's a military

(13:03):
airfield there, but this stadium that's where the Arizona Cardinals play.
It has a capacity of sixty three thousand, four hundred people.
But this is not a football game, so they're going
to have chairs or benches lined up on the entire field.
So it goes from sixty three thousand to seventy three

(13:25):
thousand seats and it's going to be packed. If you're
a Charlie Kirk fan, if you've been following Charlie Kirk
for a long time, this will be the event that
you'll want to go to.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
This will be.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Probably the largest event that they ever had have for him,
and it might be the last event that's this big
because you know how people are, you know, as much
as is you enjoyed Charlie Kirk's videos and watching him,
and you respected his religion and his politics. People just
get back into their own lives, you know, they go

(14:05):
back to doing what they were doing, and it'll it
slowly fades away, not with just not just with him,
but with everybody. And you know, there'll be statues of him.
I imagine they'll be one at Utah Valley University.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
There'll be a statue there.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
There'll be one in Phoenix, they'll be in probably one
in Washington, d C. And and then people go back
to their lives. So this might be the last big
event that the last you know, big memorial, big rally,
big commemorative event in Charlie Kirks in his existence. And

(14:40):
that may or may not be true. You know, there
might be you know, future rallies that are that big.
But I think this is going to dominate all the
news on Sunday. I think the I think even local stations,
you know, like like here, like two, four, five, seven,
nine to eleven. I think they'll carry it live and
this is going to compete with football on Sunday. I

(15:04):
also think that obviously they'll be carrying it on on
the cable stations as well. So again, if you're going there,
you'll probably end up part of a big caravan that's
flying through the desert. It's going to be ninety a
checked on this It's going to be ninety five degrees
ninety five degrees on on Sunday in Arizona. And here's

(15:25):
something that I found astonishing for a for a holiday
inn in that area, just a holiday inn, you know,
not a fancy hotel, not a crappy hotel a holiday
in We've all been to holiday inns.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
We know what they are.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Three hundred and eighty six dollars a night, three hundred
and eighty six dollars almost not with taxes and fees
and everything. Almost nine hundred dollars for two nights at
a holiday inn.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Ah.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
It doesn't seem right, doesn't seem right at all. But
there are some other hotels that are not raised their
rates at all, and they're selling out quickly, like Best Western.
And here's another one, the Garner Hotel. Oh no, that
just went up as well, Motel six. Is it eighty
nine dollars a night, So you can still get some.
If you're wondering where the stadium is, it's Eric's right.

(16:18):
It's in Glendale. It's about ten minutes outside of Phoenix,
and it's and it looks like it's very simple to
get there. It's exactly nine miles or so from Phoenix,
so it's it's fairly easy to get to. So if
you're flying into Phoenix, it'll be easy to get to.
If you're driving, you might run into some traffic on

(16:39):
the way there. I expect I can't imagine there are
there won't be traffic on the way to Arizona on
Saturday or Sunday. There are going to be thousands and
thousands of people leaving Los Angeles, San Diego, Southern California
getting on that ten Freeway and heading towards Arizona. I

(16:59):
have my ear on the ground on this one.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Trust me.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
This is gonna be a major event on Sunday, and
you'll see probably tens of thousands of people leaving southern
California getting on the ten and going to Arizona. Trust me,
it's gonna be huge. All Right, we're live on KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
The service for Charlie Kirk will be at State Farms
Stadium in Arizona or in Glendale, Arizona. And Eric, you
have an idea of where you think Donald Trump is
going to land Air Force one, You have that kind
of inside information.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
I don't have any inside information. I'm more just doing
a little deductive reasoning here.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Now, do you think he lands the plane in Phoenix
and takes a helicopter to the event.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
I don't know if he'll necessarily need to, so have
I think there are two options here Phoenix International Airport,
and he's easily handled air Force one. Yes, but like
you said, there's probably going to be a lot of
people coming into town. So do they want to shut
down the airport for the president? Oh, that's right, they
have to shut it down leave it open for the public.

(18:08):
That's a question they probably got away. My second option
Luke air Force Base, which is only six point eight
miles away from the stadium.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Oh that's the key, that's where he's landing. Yeah, so
that's it.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Phoenix Internationals twenty point four miles away, Luke air Force
Base six point eight miles away.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah. I also read online not for it's true or not.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Their air Force one, the Big seven forty seven is
flying in for that, and I think they're bringing in
Air Force two for all the people.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
That want to fly in for this.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
And also there's word that they're chartering another plane or
bring in another military plane full of people. Because every
top Republican, every conservative wants to be there for if
they especially if they're running in twenty twenty six or
in twenty twenty eight, they want the base to know

(19:06):
that they showed up for Charlie Kirk service because people
ask them that. You know, people say, where were you
on Sunday, you know, September twenty first, did you go?
And that'll be a big deal for people. The latest
on Charlie Kirk's assassin, Tyler Robinson.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Let's find out more what this crazy guy was up
to here.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Tonight, law enforcement sources painting a detailed picture of how
Charlie Crooks accused assassin twenty two year old Tyler Robinson
allegedly plotted his attack, saying Robinson tracked Kirk's schedule for days,
studying maps of the Utah Valley University campus and at
some point before the shooting, allegedly sending a friend this message.
The suspect wrote it out, saying I have the opportunity

(19:49):
to take out Charlie Kirk, and I'm going to take it.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I tholready say.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Robinson took his shot from the roof of a campus
building about one hundred and seventy five yards from where
Kirk was speaking, firing as Kirk was answering the question
about mat shootings.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
You don't have any.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Over the last ten years, are not counting gang violence?

Speaker 2 (20:10):
What came next?

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Sheer panic and you can see it in these images
and hear it it newly released.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Nine one one calls the Kirk speaker, you just got
shot on the head.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
What's the address?

Speaker 5 (20:22):
You me?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
You and what happened?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Is a speaker?

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Days guy, speaker, Kirk, where is your speech?

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Another caller, describing a moment of crisis, Kirk whisked off stage.
He got rushed off in the suv, a black sid.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
He got right in the next So I don't.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Think you had lunch.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Okay, did you see that that?

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Did you see it happen?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Yes? Is the short answer. Three thousand people there, did
you see it happen?

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yes? I saw everything in the chaos. Authorady say Robinson
slipped away cameras, capturing a shadow we figure on the roof,
then scampering across before dropping to the ground and running
off and tonight, the FBI says they found Robinson's DNA
on a screwdriver left on that roof, and on a
towel wrapped around the rifle they found in the woods nearby.

(21:15):
Investigators say Robertson meticulously planned his attack. They say this
security video obtained by TMZ shows him arriving on campus
before he changed into the familiar outfit scene in those
widely circulated photos. Black cap, dark sunglasses, and a shirt
with an American eagle on it.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
And the father is the one that turned him in.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
The father as a police officer who has since I
believe resigned. He doesn't feel like he can continue being
a productive police officer, and I think he took early retirement.
He's been on the forest for twenty seven years. So
the dad is the one that had to have the
most difficult decision of a father's life. You know, what

(21:53):
do you do when you know you're a kid when
everybody in America or well millions of people are looking
for your kid, and you know it's him the first
time you saw that photo, you know it's your kid.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
All right.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
So anyway, we'll have updates all week long on the service.
It's going to be at in Glendale, Arizona, at State
Farm Stadium. Seventy three thousand people will be inside. Donald
Trump will be there. A lot of Republicans will be there.
Be interested to see if any Democrats show up to
this interesting I don't know, maybe not, but they'll be

(22:30):
I think it'll be standing room only. There'll be seventy
three thousand people inside. There might be another three or
four hundred thousand people in the surrounding area. This is
going to be a major, major event and it's going
to be covered extensively on all the networks. And football
is going to be opposite of this, and be interesting

(22:52):
to see what they do and how you know, if NBC, ABC, CBS,
it would be NBC or Fox has the game, do
they also show the service or do they put it
on Fox News or CNN or MSNBC. Interesting interesting to
dilemma for uh, you know, for the for Fox and
CBS who have the day games and then NBC has

(23:15):
the night game.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
All right, we're live on KFI.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
We're gonna be able six o'clock tonight and then the
Chargers take on the Raiders and that should be a
great game and that will start at five point fifty
seven exactly, and I'm told it. We have to stop
talking at five point fifty seven, So get ready for that.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
We're live on KFI.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM sixty.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Congress for fifty eight million dollars in additional money for
protection of public figures and politicians. So we'll see how
that how that goes, I'm sure it will be rush
through and agreed on by everybody. In the shadow of

(24:05):
this horrible event Charlie Kirk got killed, and there's a
lot of crazy people out there. There's a lot of
people out there. And Doug Steckler used to say, Doug
Steckler's my old partner in radio, one of the funniest,
smartest guys I've ever met my life. And he had
a saying that stuck with me for a long time.
He had a lot of them, some of them I
can't say on the air, but one of them was

(24:29):
the most dangerous people in the world are people with
nothing to lose. The most dangerous people in the world
are people with nothing to lose. And if you think
about it, it's spot on, it's exactly right. And there
are a lot of people out there with nothing to lose.

(24:49):
There are a lot of people that are broke. A
lot of people have had relationships blow up on him.
Their careers may have been blown up on them, maybe
their health went sideways, and they're out of money, they're
out of options, and there are a ton of people

(25:09):
out there with nothing to lose, and those are the
most dangerous people when you have something to lose in life,
you know, your kids, your wife, your husband, your bed partner,
your mom, your dad, maybe a dog, whatever, something you love,
and you could lose that house, a business you behave,

(25:32):
you know, because you've got something to lose. But for
people who have nothing to lose, it's very simple to
take a big lead off first, very very simple.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
And there are a lot of people, there are a lot.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Of people listening right now who have nothing to lose,
and they, you know, not all were dangerous, not even
a majority of them more dangerous, but the dangerous people
do come out of that category with people with nothing
to lose, and seems like a lot of them. And
I was thinking about this over the weekend, how our

(26:04):
parents managed. Almost everybody I knew growing up had had
a house or at least a condominium or a townhouse.
And now I know a ton of people that rent.
You know, the houses are you know, are out of
range for a lot of people. As a matter of fact,
over the weekend, on Saturday, there was an open house

(26:29):
in Burbank and it was right down the street from me,
and so I walked down there to get the vibe,
you know, kind of a nosy neighbor.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
And I walked in.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I walked down the street, and I couldn't believe how
many people were there. I thought there was a party
at this house. There must have been forty or fifty
couples they walked through. So I walked through, and you know,
it took one of the business cards from the real
estate ag and she was very nice, very nice. She
was overwhelmed by the response of people that came in.

(27:00):
She expected two or three couples in the three hour span,
and there must have been forty or fifty people come
and go while I was there. And so I sat
right next to the registration book. You know, you come in,
if you're familiar with open houses, you come in and
you sign the book and you put your name or
your phone number or email address, and that's how the

(27:21):
agent can get back to you and give you more information.
And so there was a chair there was probably about
four or five feet away, and the real estate agent said, hey,
you know, I'll get to you. And I said, no, no,
don't worry about me, you know, just go help everybody else.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
And I sat there.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
They offered refreshments, which was great They had SODA's there
and Little Finger sandwiches. I thought it was kind of cool,
and so I sat there and I listened to the
people who were who were talking to the real estate agent,
and of the four or five couples that came in
while I was sitting there, I was there for about
ten to fifteen minutes, you know. She her first question was, Hey,

(27:59):
do you live in Bird And all of them said no.
And they said what what why do you Why are
you considering uh Burbank? What's the attraction? And almost every
one of them, I can't remember one of them that
didn't say this. They said, the cops and the schools.
A lot of kids in this open house, the cops

(28:21):
and the schools. And I think that's the same with
everything Crozier, I think of the same thing out with
you and Claire Mom. I think those are probably the
two priorities, you know, the protection from cops and the schools.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah, if not top two, definitely up there yet. Yeah,
I mean I don't know what else.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
I mean, location, maybe, I guess, but everybody you know falls, yeah,
but you know the location, you know. But I think
it's cops and schools and fire, you know, fire has
been a big deal. I talked to real Estates after
a while and she said that since the big fires
in January, the Palisades and the one in Altadenam, that

(29:00):
people want to know where the fire, the closest fire
station is.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
They want to know that. That's a big deal to them.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
And I don't know whether there's the savings and your
insurance or people just feel more secure being near a
fire department, but that's a big deal. Cops and schools,
Police and schools, those are the big attractions to homes nowadays.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
And I get it. I get it.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Plus where that firehouse is all right, we're gonna be
here for another hour. They're actually a little less than
an hour. And then Chargers Raiders right here on KFI

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
