Speaker 1 (00:08):
It's Conways Show. We're keep an eye on downtown Los Angeles.
Saturday is going to be an unbelievable day. It's the
No King Day, It's Trump's birthday. A lot of people
of the day off. There might be a lot of
people in downtown Los Angeles, and the Marines might be
here by then, so well, it should be interesting to
watch on TV. Might be the time to sit back,
(00:31):
enjoy a six pack and watch TV Saturday. I talked
to Sweet James and he said, of the video that
bellio illegally uploaded to Instagram, Facebook, instag Facebook, it's everywhere. Okay,
(00:51):
good back off Crosier. Yeah, I have no problem with that.
I encourage it. But Doc, but I call him doctor,
Doctor James. Doctor Sweet James said, you're in luck. You
can sue, and the more people that watch, the more
damages you can prove, and so keep promoting it, and
(01:11):
as that number goes up, the damages go up as well.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
So good night, Bellia, it's gonna be over. I'm taking you.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Maybe the small claims probably more like a federal court or.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
State court. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
I don't know where I'm gonna file yet, but I
will be filing something against you.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
But that's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
We can still be friends, though, right Okay, yeah, no,
they can't hear you. Oh she's swearing.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Oh all right.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
It's Disneyland Resorts seventieth celebration, and it's not a celebration
without you.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
So with all the sites, the.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
BELLYO, can I see your question? Do you have your
headphones on? Is she in there?
Speaker 4 (02:21):
See?
Speaker 3 (02:21):
What? When? Are we going to give the Disneyland tickets way? Tomorrow? Tomorrow?
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Wow, a lot of giveaways tomorrow. All right, that's a
big deal. That's a big yeah, huge.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Okay, all right, we have some something. Something's happening in Iran,
and we think that Israel has attacked the nuclear sites facilities, yes,
or facilities in Iran, and that is a big, big,
major international story.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
General, what's the first thing you're going to want to
look for or first questions you would want answered after
you learn about this attack?
Speaker 7 (03:00):
Well, I think we begin by seeing that the Israeli's
probably achieved tactical surprise. There have been no reports of
Israeli aircraft down. I'm guessing this is a combination of manned,
little observable aircraft SELLT aircraft, long range missiles, some short
range missiles, possibly some drones launch from within Iran. A
complex attack looks like against the nuclear sites. But as
(03:21):
you said, that would be the first thing I'd like
to know if I were looking at this right now.
Is it a narrow attack? Was it simply against the
nuclear sites, because then you may have an opportunity to
scope and scale a potential Iranian response. And on the
note of an Iranian response, Iran will not be able
to respond immediately. It will take them a little while
to bring their missiles to readiness. They're probably not ready
(03:45):
to do that right now. The Sun's going to be
coming up in a little while.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I didn't know it takes It takes some time to
have your missiles readied. I thought they're just always ready,
don't you just light the fuse and there they go.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
That's odd.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
They will probably not want to do something during daylight.
So we're looking at the next period of darkness at
the very earliest time for a for a probable Iranian response.
And as you know, John, those responses have not been
particularly effective against Israel the last two times they've done that.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
Well, I wanted to ask you about that, since it
was your daily concern. What's your assessment of how weakened
Iran is? In two questions, One, because their proxies are weakened,
But then also we've had more evidence about their ability
to respond to make an evaluation of whether they can
in fact respond. Is as wide and as deep as
they as we once thought.
Speaker 7 (04:33):
Iran misses Lebanese as Bala. That was their huge strategic
headge against Israel. Lebanese is Bala is out of the fight.
The Syrians are out of the fight. Iran is generationally
weakened right now now that's against Israel. They still have
a lot of weapons that they could fire against our
bases in the region and against countries such as Saudi
Arabia or the United Arab immorates where they would be
(04:55):
able to generate more missiles than they can actually fire
at Israel. So that would be option, but that would
be a market widening of the war.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
It's going to be scary I think in Israel for
the next couple of days, especially Tomorrow night. Isn't Friday
night a big Jewish night?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Isn't that?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
What is that called on Friday? From sundown Friday till
sundown on Saturday, is that called a mitzvah? I should
know this. I grew up most of my friends were Jewish.
They're probably swearing at the radio right now. A mitzvah
is what we put on the on the door outside Godway,
you idiot. But there's a fasting or something where they
(05:37):
don't use any kind of machinery. From sundown on Friday
until sundown on Saturday is their Sabbath.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Sabbath, that's what it is. You're right, the Sabbath.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
And I know that because I worked with a Jewish
guy at Revel Travel.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Then we delivered plane.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Tickets all the time when we had to have triplicate
physical plane tickets for air travel, and wherever he was
in the city when the sun went down on Friday,
I would have to go pick him up and bring
him home because he couldn't drive after sundown on Friday.
Speaker 7 (06:14):
That was my job and probably lead to direct pressure
on the Iranian regime. The ultimate goal of Iranian state
craft is regime survival, and they will make their calculation
about the next move with that held as the highest objective.
So it'll be really interesting to watch what the Iranians
do here over the next twenty four to forty eight.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
US in general are just to bring our viewers up
to speed here that we are watching Iranian television.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
There.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
Those are pictures of Iran at night and you see
some smoke there. And then we also have some reporting
our Jennifer Jacob's reports that the White House will convene
a cabinet meeting tomorrow morning. That's per several sources. The
US is not a part of this operation. There's no
intelligence sharing. Iran State TV says the country's air defense
(06:58):
system is on full alert. General, if you're still with US,
I just have one other question in terms of the
ladder of Israeli attacks. You mentioned that there might be
a smaller scale attack and then just kind of make
a new kind of assessment. How much could Israel do
without help of the United States.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
In terms of.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
God, this question is long. It's like ten minutes.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Hurting the Iranian nuclear program.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
John.
Speaker 7 (07:25):
They can damage the Iranian nuclear program, they can give
it significant damage. They cannot do the things that we
could do to the Iranian nuclear program because they don't
have the special ordinance that will let you go deep
into the deep underground spaces where the Iranians have some
of the most sensitive parts of their program concealed.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Now, the question is will the United States help Israel
and stir that area up even more?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
I think society is breaking down. I think we're witnessing
it firsthand here in the United States and around the world.
I think we're all breaking down. I think we had
a really good run. This place had a really nice run.
A lot of people had a lot of fun, and
now we're paying the bill.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
It just seems like we are.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
Am six forty.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
We have breaking news. We have breaking news, and I
don't know if we have the sounder still Steph Fush, But
this is breaking news. A federal judge has just issued
a temporary restraining order directing President Donald Trump to return
control of the National Guard to Governor Newsom and the
(08:37):
state of California. The order which takes effect at noon
on Friday. So the deployment of the Guard was illegal
and both violated the Tenth Amendment and exceeded Trump's statutory authority.
The White House had no immediate comment on the ruling.
(09:00):
Here is the actual ruling, and some questions come up.
If the National Guard leaves, who's going to protect the
federal buildings?
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Is it going to be LAPD?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
And do the Marines get to stay when they eventually
get here.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
It's changing pretty rapidly. So on June sixth, twenty twenty five,
is what it says. To the United States District Court
for the Northern District of California. They order granting plaintiffs
application for temporary restraining order Gavin Newsom versus Donald Trump.
(09:39):
On June sixth, twenty twenty five, the federal government initiated
immigration raids across the city of Los Angeles. Protests swiftly followed,
and some individuals involved in those protests were unruly and
even violent. State and local law enforcement responded. The following day,
President Trump ordered the members of the California National Guard
(10:03):
to be federalized and thereupon assume control of those forces.
At this early stage of the proceedings, the court must
determine whether the President followed the constitutionally mandated procedure for
his actions. He did not, his actions were illegal, both
exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the
(10:26):
Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore
return control of the California National Guard to the Governor
of the State of California at noon on Friday tomorrow,
at noon. That is a major, major defeat for Donald Trump,
and a major victory for people downtown for Governor Newsom,
(10:51):
and a major well, I guess yeah, it's a major
win for the looters and mischief makers as well, because
now who guards the federal buildings. Will LAPD have to
do that? Will the Marines come up from Seal Beach
(11:13):
and do that?
Speaker 7 (11:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
We'll have to see. We'll follow that. But that is unbelievable.
What a week in Los Angeles, and that didn't take long.
That didn't take long at all. I mean, it happened
fairly quickly. And so that is the order. And unless
Donald Trump defies that order, which he has in the past,
(11:38):
then the National Guard, the four thousand members we had
two thousand originally and then two thousand more, they'll all disappear.
They'll all go back to their home counties, their home cities,
and it might leave these federal buildings unprotected. I don't
know what happens then. I don't know, or or vervendor
(12:00):
Newsom could keep some of the National Guard under his
rule in front of those federal buildings.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
That can happen as well.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
At it greatly diminished numbers instead of four thousand, maybe,
I don't know, a couple hundred. So that's happening. That
is breaking news. You heard it first here on KFI
that the federal judge has decided in Governor Newsom's favor
and against Donald Trump. Wow, unbelievable news flying around him.
Speaker 8 (12:32):
Breaking news now concerning Governor Gavin Newsom's lawsuit against the
Trump administration for the president's calling up of the National
Guard without the governor's consent. That judge ruling that the
thing that was done by the president was illegal. The
deployment of the guard by the president illegal and violated
the Tenth Amendment and exceeded the president's statutory authority. He's
(12:54):
put a restraining order on that. It will take effect
on Friday at noon, and no response yet from the President.
We are expecting that the governor may have something to
say about this fairly shortly.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
The Governor Newsom where is going to speak immediately and
he is going to You'll see a pep in his step.
This is a major victory for Governor Newsom and Governor
Newsom who hates Donald Trump and vice versa. This is
a big, huge war of power going on in this
country and Governor Newsom just got a home victory. So
(13:28):
we'll see what the reaction of Donald Trump is and
we'll see what the reaction of Governor Newsom is. Meanwhile,
a good friend of mine, Chris Christie, is down flying
over downtown Los Angeles and he's got the latest on
what's going on in downtown LA.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Let's find out from Chris Christie.
Speaker 9 (13:50):
Keeping an eye on that group that started at the
Federal Detention Center on Alameda, a group of about one
hundred to one hundred and fifty demonstrators now making their
way towards the West as that curfew approaches. They were
right in front of the National Guard, which remains at
their post in front of the detention center that order
stay till tomorrow, So I don't expect that we will
(14:11):
see their I guess eighteen hours or so.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Bark you, yes, thank you, Chris, Chris.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
I appreciate that we are an hour and thirty three
minutes away from our next curfew. It's going to go
on at eight pm. And I see Krozier with his
yellow headband all ready to roll. Oh that's your headphones again.
I keep thinking that's a sweat band he has on
his ears. All right, that's a big, major story going
(14:38):
on here in southern California. National Guard being returned to
Governor Newsom's order so he can do whatever he wants.
They've been taken away from the federal government and now
they're going to be under control of local state government
and Governor Newsom. We also have Israeli airstrikes on Tehran,
(15:00):
which is unusual because they said that this was going
to be directed at the nuclear sites, and I don't
I can't imagine them having nuclear sites in the middle
of Tehran. But it looks like some buildings are on
fire in Tehran. Lots going on, a lot going on here.
You must stay on KFI.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 7 (15:26):
I'm going to jump right into Governor Newsom right here
are you speaking about the judge blocking military deployment in
La of our.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Founding fathers who, in response to monarchy, in response to
King George, set out to frame a new construct to
elevate and support individual freedom liberty. They create a system
of checks and balances, a separation of power, coequal branches
of government. Framework took the best of Greek democracy and
(15:59):
the Roman Republic, and it has stood the test of time.
Donald Trump has tested the limits of that and has
done so consistently. But today's order makes clear that he
is not above or beyond constitutional constraints. Constitution sets forth limits.
(16:22):
The president is a constitutional officer. The President of the
United States works under the Constitution, and so we are
very gratified by this decision. His section that he asserted
the authority to overrule the objections of a state governor.
(16:46):
Clearly in the thirty six page order, those cornerstones that
he claimed or asserted were not met. Section twelve four
h six clear that there's no invasion, there's no rebellion.
It's absurd, and so we're gratified. Today is a big
(17:07):
date for the Constitution United States, for our democracy, and
I hope it's the beginning of a new day in
this country. Or we push back against overreach. We both
push back against these authoritarian tendencies of a president that
has pushed the boundaries, pushed the limit, but no longer
(17:28):
can push this state around any longer. Happy to take
any question where you've thought about the certain years the
version of foreign world, Well, I hope we look at
what happened to Center of Padilla, not through the blue
or red lens, but through your own set of eyes,
(17:49):
and just tell me that that's right. Here's the United
States Center in his home state, in a federal building,
in his office building, that wishes to join a press conference,
not just some or this, and express himself by simply
asking a question, and was Hancoff was thrown down to
(18:12):
the ground of the United States Center. And anyone that
knows Alex Padilla. Knows one thing about Alex Padia. He's
one of the most mild, manner, decent people you'll meet.
And that's not don't just take my word for it.
Folks on the other side of the aisle would acknowledge
that I thought it was a disgrace to follow in
the morning. I want to make this clear of The
(18:34):
National Guard will come back under my authority by noon tomorrow.
The National Guard will be redeployed to what they were
doing before Donald Trump come and neared them. The National
Guard will go back to border security, working on counter
drug enforcement and fentanyl enforcement, which they were taken off
(18:58):
by Donald Trump. The Guard will go back to working
on what we referred to as the rattlesnake teams, doing
vegetation and forest management, which Donald Trump took them off
in preparation for wildfire seasons. The National Guard men and
women will go back to their day jobs, which include
law enforcement that he took them off the job. Just
(19:22):
want you to all absorb what I just said. By
the way, you don't dibsorb it. You'll have an opportunity
to review that. In the thirty six page order from
Justin Bryer that laid that out, and they'll come back
under a rightful command of the governor of the state
of California.
Speaker 10 (19:41):
Than the whole time your listener, hands of demonstrate on
Saturday in response to this military.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
A venger, do it peacefully. It's a vulgar display. It's
the kind of thing you see Kim Johnn you see
it putin You see it with dictators around the world
that are weak just want to demonstrate strength, weakness masquerading
as strength to fet the dear leader on his birthday.
(20:11):
What an embarrassment. Honestly, that's about as small as it gets.
How weak, how weak do you have to be to
come in near the military to fet you on your
birthday in a vulgar display of weakness. That's Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Govern you more and other states in your addressed the
other night, What are the messages and conversations you can happen.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
With those blue state leaders before These governors have all
been waiting for this decision. I haven't had a chance
to talk to you governors. And by the way, every
Republican governor I remember one of them by the name
of Christy Nome, who just a few months ago was
on there with one of the spokespeople for the Trump administration,
Sean Hannity, and was going on and on and on
(20:58):
about a room that somehow former President Biden was going
to federalize her national troop. And she stood there talking
about freedom and federalism, the tenth Amendment, and here she is,
you know, her folks, throwing the United States Center from
(21:19):
the great state of California on the ground and handcuffing
him in his office building. In twenty twenty five, Devia, what.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
About the mares were you's appointed?
Speaker 3 (21:30):
The judge Bryer's addressed that issue.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
That's something they expected to know.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Well, there's been a lot of rhetoric from Pete Hetsick,
that's his name, that they've quote unquote been deployed, but
doesn't appear they have been, but they were making you
believe that, and so I think the judge was waiting
for the evidence that they've actually been deployed into Los Angeles,
which they appear not to be. Of course, they're not
(21:55):
coordinating with anybody on this, so he's just waiting for
that evidence. Obviously, they moved to another location for training exercises.
But there's the bottom line. The police do policing military
for the battlefield. The idea that these unbelievably brave young
(22:20):
men and women that I work with, that we have
had the benefit of their extraordinary contribution all across this state.
I gave you three examples. What more evidence do we
need of the work they did for the wildfires in
Los Angeles and all the work they did to secure
locations and keep property in personal life safe over the
course of the last few months. These folks are now
(22:44):
being commandeered to do ice raids. You've seen the photographs.
That ends tomorrow at noon. And the notion that the
United States Active Duty Marine, these heroes would be used
to militarize the streets of an American city is an abomination.
(23:11):
Founding fathers do not live and die to see that
happen in this country. For no reason whatsoever, then vanity
theater to instill fear to incite a response. So I'm
very hopeful this order puts that in perspective, and hopefully
(23:36):
Donald Trump will immediately back down. The courts have ruled
on the guard. They will be back under my command,
and he'll be relieved. Donald Trump were believed of his
command at noon tomorrow.
Speaker 11 (23:52):
Wing guys, the President and Secretary of Tax said will
honor those order this order.
Speaker 7 (23:57):
And then you've also.
Speaker 11 (23:59):
Mentioned that you try to work with the president in
the pastor has this situation.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Change your dynamic with No, because I will work with
anyone to advance the interests of forty million Americans that
I happen to represent here in California. And so I've
always maintained an open hand, not a close fist, but
are also going to stand firm and tall and push
back against lawlessness, against someone that does not believe in
(24:27):
the rule of law, does not believe in constraints, does
not believe in the constitution. Who is threatening judges that
threatens not to abide by orders and Donald Trump better
by these orders, or we have a constitutional crisis the
likes of which we haven't seen in our lifetime. Well,
(24:48):
that's that's that's that will be determined by fate in future,
but also fundamentally by whatever decision he makes. That's how
things break down. It's a federal judge with a federal order, period,
full stop. It's the rule of law. He's the foundational
(25:09):
principles of a constitutional democracy. He must work under the
constraints as a constitutional officer of the Constitution of the
United States of America. That's what this court order demands
of the President of the United States. He is not
a monarch, he is not a king, and he should
(25:30):
stop acting like one. I spoke to him on Friday night.
He had a mysterious conversation with me. Three days later.
You can't even make this stuff up. Station.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Do you have a readout?
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Oh, I would love to share the readout, but I
revere the office of Presidency, so I'll keep it in confidence.
He is quite literally made up components of that conversation.
He's been a stone cold liar about what he said
we talked about. He never discussed the National Guard period,
full stop. I would love to share with you what
(26:12):
he actually talked about. That would send shivers up your spine.
Speaker 11 (26:15):
Attorneys for the government, though today seemed to imply that
that Friday call that you might have been aware that
this was coming, or can you can you confirm whether
or not you knew that this was coming? This order
was coming?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Of course not, no, absolutely not. We were back and
forth with Susie Wiles's chief of staff and then called
mayor of Los Angeles. Saw a miscall from the President
called him back. I actually texted him back, you want
full disclosure, and he called me right back. We discussed
for a nanosecond Los Angeles, and he immediately zigged and
zagged into seven or eight other topics, some extraordinarily familiar
(26:53):
and some extraordinarily remarkable considering the world we're living in.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
How who found out?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
I learned about it when I saw some tweet about
Governor Neuscomb, a nickname by the way, that's hardly original.
There was an eighth grader in on Baltimore Street in
courtA Madera that used to call me that, and the
reference to the National Guard being commandeered in that same tweet.
(27:22):
That's how I learned about comments. Willing to stand on appeal,
especially against the stud Board. Well, I'm confident in the
role of law. I'm confident in the Constitution United States,
I'm confident in the wisdom and judgment of a very
well respected federal judge, and I'm confident on the basis
of the review of the thirty six pages. Absolutely it
(27:43):
will stand.
Speaker 10 (27:44):
Does this order go even further than you expected? And
think your attorneys had asked for them to simply be
restricted to federal buildings.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
I'll just say we're extraordinarily pleased by the thirty six
page rolling of Justice Bryor.
Speaker 7 (27:57):
Can you speak to some of.
Speaker 11 (27:58):
The journalists with it, about of the journalists in LA
who have been taking appropriate bullets.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Well, there's two investigations. The one we initiated with the
California Highway Patrol and there's one that has been initiated
independent by the LAPD. And people should feel safe. Reporters
absolutely should feel safe, and we'll get to the bottom
of it. I don't want to prejudge, but I'm concerned
about him. That's why we advanced the investigations. Governor.
Speaker 10 (28:26):
Today, in San Francisco, immigration attorneys tell us that there
were three additional folks who were detained while heading into
the ice support offices on Sansum. This is some of
just many detentions we've seen a courthouses and immigration opposites
in the Bay Area around the state, and many of
these people, their attorneys are telling it they complicated, technic,
(28:47):
good pieces. What are your thoughts about seeing these detentions
occurring in your communities around California.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
Well, he's on, let's just dispense it's not about criminals.
If it's about criminals. Got no beef with me. We
want to secure a border. We need comprehensive immigration reform.
We need a pathway to citizenship for people being her ten, fifteen,
twenty years, contributing, paying their taxes, being remarkable members of
(29:16):
our community. But that's not what this is about.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
I was in Oxnard, California and Ventura County yesterday. Met
with three people, three people directly impacted by indiscriminate raids.
I met a twelve year old boy in sixth grade, weeping, crying,
tears pouring down his face. His mother and father were
(29:49):
both detained. They disappeared. He has no brothers, no sisters,
no family. He quite literally is on his own, abandoned.
That's Donald Trump's America. Twenty plus years as mom and
dad working in the same fields, doing the same packing
and shipping, twenty plus years, they've disappeared. Twelve year old boy.
(30:13):
You saw the images of ice officers running through strawberry
fields CBP helicopters above. I met a woman, a single mother,
who was walking out at five point forty five am
to get in her car. Seven agents surrounded her. They
took her in a car in essence kidnapping her, driving
(30:34):
around for almost two hours until she finally convinced the
agent because she has three young children, a sixteen year old,
a fourteen year old and an eight year old, that
they needed to get to school and there's no one
to help them get to school. She's finally allowed to
call her oldest daughter, who was interrogated by the agent
and threatened. And they threatened her after they dropped her off,
(30:57):
said we may be back rising. This single mother, no
criminal record, no criminal background. I met another young woman
whose husband has quite literally disappeared, no criminal record. She
doesn't know what to do. She doesn't even know what happened.
That was just yesterday. That's Donald Trump's America. Agricultural workers,
(31:21):
think about that when you have dinner tonight, Think about
what then you enjoy your first course as some fresh fruit,
some fresh vegetables, who provided those who supported you matter.
Think about it when you go home and the construction
around your property or maybe you're getting a remodel, who's
doing that work destroying? Not only are the foundations of
(31:42):
our democracy the best again of the Roman Republican Greek democracy.
But now our economy is at risk because of the
recklessness and the cruelty of Donald Trump, the indiscriminate cruelty
of Donald Trump. Why else do you go to a
seven to eleven whilst you go to a nail salon,
whilst you just randomly show up in front of a
(32:04):
hardware store. Why else? It's not about criminals, that's about
creating chaos. And I do not believe the American people,
the majority of the American people support that, quite the contrary.
And so this decision was important because it's about constraints,
it's about limits, it's about our democracy, and that's why
(32:29):
we're very grateful by the order.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Why something not apply us order?
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Well, I think the courts will. I think that's Look,
I'm counting on these separations of power. It's the co
equal branches of government. Co equal, mister President, branches government.
He's eliminated one or they elimited themselves. That's called Congress
Speaker Johnson, who his eloquence was elevated when he called
(32:59):
to quote unquote and feather the governor of California. That's
the speaker, very religious man. I guess that's the spirit,
the word the Lord. He's abdicated any oversight and responsibility
(33:20):
over the present United States. There's one branch remaining, and
that's the judicial branch. So my response to you is
we count on the judicial branch. But there's also as
I said I ended that speech forty eight hours ago,
I said, there's the most important office, and that's office
a citizen. That's all of you stepping up, stepping in
and sharing your passion with action, pushing back against this peacefully, peacefully,
(33:49):
in sharing your voice. And I think this weekend there
will be millions and millions of Americans rightfully expressing their outrage,
their constitutional he protected right to assemble and free speech,
peacefully expressing that all across this country. I pray that's
the case.
Speaker 9 (34:10):
You don't want to talk about the conversation and with
the privative or.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
No, not at this moment.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
What do you think.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Then, to take coming out and saying he wants to
protect California farm workers from before he give what you need.
This is what he does. He creates a problem and
then he tries to be a hero in his own
Marvel movie did it on? Tim? Filling a blank on
almost every topic, creates the problem and then tries to
(34:40):
do make believe as if you're all perfect little sheep
and you're going to go on with it to be
the hero in his own Marvel movie. He initiated those raids.
He significantly increased the scale and scope of those raids.
That's why he wants the National Guard. Hundreds and hundreds
(35:03):
and hundreds of guards men and women now being dispersed everywhere,
sprinter vans, unmarked, people with masks, running in, rolling over
some case, running in two cars, six month old kid,
a three year old child in the back of the car. Left.
(35:26):
So spare me, mister President, that he sincerna. But if
he is, that happened because of you, may he happened
because of the American people, because they stood up. And
that should give us some optimism. Thank you all, very
very much.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
All right, that's uck. Governor Newsom.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
A thirty six page ruling came down in favor of
Governor Newsom. He gets the National Guard back, and in
that in this address just now, he has said anybody
who I'm sorry, Hey, he called the Donald Trump a
stone cold liar, and he wouldn't reveal the actual conversation.
(36:06):
He said it would it would send shivers up your
f and he almost said the F word and then
spine he talked about the National Guard. It was a
big win Newsom versus Donald Trump. And so tomorrow at noon,
the the the all the National Guard troops that you
(36:27):
see in downtown Los Angeles will no longer be under
Donald Trump and federal rule. They go back to California.
So we'll see if there's any of them that are
left to protect the federal buildings on Saturday, which should
be a huge day in downtown Los Angeles Day without
a King. On Saturday, Donald Trump's birthday also the two
hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Army.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
I knew someome called the US Army celebration of.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Their two hundred and fiftieth birthday vulgar because it lands
on Donald Trump's birthday. And there was a thirty six
page ruling that came down in favor of Newsom, and
that was Justice Briar's brother, Stephen Brier from the Supreme Court.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
His brother made that decision.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
So now the big question is do the Marine stay,
do they go as well? And will the LAPD then
be in charge of protecting the federal buildings and does
that open them up to more vulnerabilities? Who knows. We'll
find out the next couple of days. What a busy
day We've got Israel attacking Iran, and then more locally
(37:33):
here we have the big decision that came out today
that the National Guard that's been protecting the federal buildings
and helping out the ice crew here in La Federal
the federal authority of the National Guard has gone back
to state authority, so it gets transferred from Trump to
(37:55):
Newsom and who knows. There's been no response yet from
the White House. Don't know if they're going to appeal
this to the Supreme Court. I bet they do, but
we'll have to wait for that. And then Saturday we
have King the day without a King, so what should
be unbelievable. Lots going on. Stay with Moe Kelly here.
I'll be up back tomorrow at four pm. We got
a huge show tomorrow. We got a lot of giveaways
(38:16):
and a lot to talk about. On Saturday, It's Conway
Show Live on KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Now you
can always hear us live on KFI AM six forty
four to seven pm Monday through Friday, and anytime on
