Tim Conway Jr. kicks off a special live broadcast from the Smart & Final Extra in Yorba Linda with Chef Bruno Serato, founder of Caterina’s Club, to preview the 15th Annual KFI Pastathon happening on Giving Tuesday (12/02). Tim shows off the listener gift bags, reveals that his wife’s handmade ornaments sold out instantly, and works the crowd to find out who drove the furthest, all while handing out literal Ding-Dongs.
Two young listeners give a heartwarming shoutout to their hardworking dad, and Tim compares the airplane noise of Burbank vs. Yorba Linda.

and also the best producer in all of talk radio.
She comes down hours before everybody else. She was here

week a week ago, a week. That is incredible. I

How do you feed a kid for a dollar?

Well, if you buy a basta like you have the
Chico dollar fifty with this one, that can probably serve
seventy eight past seven eight kids.

I got that wrong, my whole liarm. What did you

do you feed kids, but you also put people in
apartments and houses, and I.

Now you find I find out fourteen years ago some
family leaving a motel room. And it's not cheap if
you pay like eighty dollars a day, at least it's
twenty five three thousand dollars a month. The problem with
this family they cannot pay first last month deposit to
an apartment. I mean I qualify them number one tea

their two children. Only do family with kids, I mean
if you have a job. Also, if you don't have
a job, I can't qualify you because you need to
pay the rent. The first family that moved out fourteen
years ago was a family of six month dead, four
children live in one room and a hotel in an
for twelve years.

Oh my god, think about twelve.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Years if in one room. The little girl told me
the story she's doing her homework sit on the toilet,
because that's the only quite place that she could do
a homework from school.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I did that as a kid. Yeah.

Oh that's for a different reason. But we already move
two hundred and eighty four family, So is that right?
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Wow? Look, at that if you want in an eighty
four families because of Jeff Bruno and all of you
are now in apartments instead of motels.

Definitely. I always say thanks to K five support, we
could be tout down, No way we could do that.
There's a big, big difference to life changing sac for
their kids.

What are the requirements I mean can like can can
they move in the apartment and dad can still you know,
smoke weed and mom can drink.

And I usually don't check what they do, but we
checking the drugs before we you do.

You have to have a job, but you need some help.

that is fantastic. And are most of the people the

Yeah, okay, in fact they can't they have to find
the house themselves. Some people want to leave next to
work next to the children's school. I mean, I let
them look for the apartment. I cannot look for them.
I'm not okay nature and I'm one priority. Like I say,
they have a two job and children.

All right, But when you you know you've been doing
this for twenty years, do you see as anybody come
back and said, hey, I now run a huge CEO,
thank you very much, like they're a big president of
company or not yet.

But I have a program schedule hospitality that a teacher
teenager to work with me. Deler two days ago, we
have a three hundred kids coming at a restaurant. Because
I got kids once a year, it's no and I
go a volunteer. She said, Well I used to be
an intel. Oh wow, I said, oh my gosh, that's
what you do. Now I'm a food and beverage the

I mean, when you see that, you know you do

this family they cannot pay first last month deposit to

their two children. Only do family with kids, I mean
if you have a job. Also, if you don't have
a job, I can't qualify you because you need to
pay the rent. The first family that moved out fourteen
years ago was a family of six month dead, four
children live in one room and a hotel in an

Years if in one room. The little girl told me
the story she's doing her homework sit on the toilet,
because that's the only quite place that she could do

have a three hundred kids coming at a restaurant. Because

World Series Bobby Welch and eighty eight Kirk Gibson, it's
been great, and the last three back to back. I
still watch that game almost every night, and I can't
believe the Dodgers won that game. Any Dodger fans here,
Any Angel fans? Yeah? Disappointed? Crew here? Do you miss Sotani? Yeah? Yeah,

To piece? What'd you get for him when you got
