Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI AM six forty and you're listening to The
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Michoe Petrose is coming on with us later tonight. Once
he gets home. He's driving to Sam Pedro. I think
out near Marine Land is where the guy lives. All right.
Time for the five oh five NewsWhip Every day at
five we present the stories that maybe we've missed or
should have covered a little lie, you know, before Friday,

(00:29):
or maybe we should spend some more time on it. Krozier,
why don't you lead off since you're always batting?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Clean up what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
All right?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Then?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
You know, I actually switched up.

Speaker 5 (00:37):
I told Sharon that I was gonna do this story
about the revitalization now of the ice Bucket challenge that's
kind of going around right now. We hold on that,
but I came across this story that I thought was
really cool. The NFEL draft's going on right now. Second
round's currently going on today. First round was last night.
During the first round. Last night, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted
Oregon defensive tackle Derek Harmon with the twenty first overall pick. Harmon,

(01:00):
you know, obviously very happy, but he ended up going
to the hospital afterwards to share the news with his mother. Wow,
Tiffany sayt Tiffany Sayin was on life support. The Steelers
confirmed she died just after Harmon got there to let
him let her know that he was drafted into the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Oh my god. He grew up.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
His mother as he was growing up, had multiple brain
surgeries before having a stroke during his freshman season when
he played at Michigan State that left her paralyzed on
her left side. He ended up transferring to Oregon in
twenty twenty three. Just drafted yesterday, and he said, after,
you know, after what happened last night. He grew up
with his mom having probably seven eight brain surgeries and

(01:40):
still took him to practice, went to work. He said,
in the back of his head, he always remembered, why
can't Why can't I keep going if I'm tired or
injured or whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
That's a great story.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Harm So she got to hear that her son got
drafted into the NFL, and now Tiffany say can rest
in peace.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Ah, that's a great story. Man, that's unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
All right, wants to follow?

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I bet you could top that.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
I can't.

Speaker 7 (02:06):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I was gonna say, what's the fault, the bittersweet story
story it is, it's you can okay?

Speaker 8 (02:15):
Well l a Metro and cal Trends broke ground this
morning on a new express lane project for the one
on one one O five freeway anyone.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
So that's it.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Angel.

Speaker 9 (02:28):
So there's a new color that was invented. Great and.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
So Ben and Jerry, Oh is.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
It you doing that thing?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
That was?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Thank you. That's a great story. Crosier. We should have
got back. You should have clean up on that one.
Nobody could touch it. You can't.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Nobody could touch it with a phenomenal story. I came
across that and it just blew me your way.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
That's great, buddy, And I could hear it your voice
that you're emotional about it. Man, Like that.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Man, that's that's all you want as a parent, You
know that inevitably before you go, you want to know
your kid's going to.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Be good, right, But it's also what you wanted a kid,
you know, right to be, you know, to think of
his mom first and you know, and get to her
and have you know, that kind of respect and relationship
with a mom who every day.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Was close to death. Yeah, every day of his childhood.
He grew up with his mom. At any moment, you know,
could be gone, and he made it through that whole time.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
But Krozier, you know, I know you have a daughter
a little older than me, and as your daughter was
growing up, every single day you thought, what happens to
Sydney if something happens to me?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Still today today, I do the same. I do it
every day.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It's the thing that begins the day they're born.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah, I do it every single day.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, you know what happens to her if you know
something happens to me, and and it's it's kind of
like a I don't know, like a conceited thing. Of
course they're gonna, you know, be okay and get by,
but but you just feel like you got to minimize
that kind of hurt, you know, if anything happens to you.

(04:20):
I think most people have that thing in them.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
You know, as they get older, they start to take
stock of their lives and they realize what am I
what's my legacy? What am I leaving behind? And the
second you have a kid like that, you you realize
where that goes to?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Right, and and you look, I never understood what real
love and what real fear was until I had a kid.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Oh yeah, and then I got it pretty quickly.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, changed my life too.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
That's a great So what's what's the guy's name again?
The football player?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
His name said, Derek Harmon who played at Oregon after
playing at the Michigan State.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
He drafts O by the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's right, man,
I'll follow that guy's career. That's a cool story. Be
the big story of the draft.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
It's one of yeah from s Sander's still not getting
drafted raft way through the second round.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
That Sanders is a is an unbelievable story. He came
out of Colorado. His dad is Dion Leon Leon Dion Sanders,
and he played baseball and football. I think, one of
the greatest athletes ever. Yeah. Yeah, And he thought his
son was going to go first or second, A lot

(05:28):
of people did. He hasn't even gone yet and it's
the second round. And this Sanders kid, along along with
his dad, they built a room in the house dedicated
to the draft, dedicated to going early, with all the
hats and uh legendary written all over the walls. That's

(05:50):
a that's a tough room to go into when you're
still not drafted. He built a draft room at his house. Now,
Bellio think it's that a little hippocrite of me because
I built a Barrett news room in my house.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Yeah, you have no room to talk.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, in case, you know, when I was number one
in the afternoon in talk radio, which I will say,
I feel like a hypocrite contemning that kid because I
did build a Barrett newsroom.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Okay, well, at least you said that.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I admitted it. I'm a hypocrites. But that will be
the only forum or the only time where hypocrisy and
me collide.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I hope.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Happy birthday, Thank you so much.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
I hope you enjoyed what Thanks for knocking us all
out of the news whip.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yes, that's where you know, that's the goal is to
not knock everybody down.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
This is actually that does make it a little more interesting.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Sure, yeah, knock everybody out. It's called it's called news room,
the news knockout. Come up with a story that knocks
everybody else.

Speaker 8 (06:57):
Everyone has to rotate being first, like you can knock
out the other side.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Okay, well bello, okay, like Bellio's first on Monday, the
news knockout.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
So everybody's going to bring like sad stories.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
I don't think so. I think you can bring a
you know, a really happy story, like Okay, Crosiers, that's
what do you doing for your birthday this weekend?

Speaker 9 (07:19):
You know?

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Well, we're having sushi tonight.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
Yeah. And then I think we're going where did you
get it?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
At Shell Sinclair?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Sinclair?

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:30):
And then a Dinosaur Yeah, great sushi. You get those
Dino rolls.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
Get the spicy tuna. It's delish.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
And then I think we're going to North Italia y'all.

Speaker 10 (07:42):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Nice?

Speaker 6 (07:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Man, oh man, what a food weekend you get rolling around?

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Food weekend?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Okay, that North Italian is a great restaurant.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
It's so good.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I really enjoyed that.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, if you've never been there, North Italia is a
great I think it's a chain. I think it's a
bunch of them.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Yeah, yeah, never heard of it?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Oh, you never heard of it. There's a few you
would love. Santa Monica, It's okay, Croach, you would love it, dude,
I think yeah, he would top shelf I Italian food
where you can sort of see where they make it.
You know, they don't go hiding behind a wall and
and everything that comes out. First of all, it smells
unbelievable in there. The chicken, chicken pesto, oh my god,

(08:24):
but even a lot of them.

Speaker 8 (08:25):
But the kale salad is the best.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
And their drinks are also made right there in the house.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
Their drinks are great.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I feel weird getting a kale salad at a place
like that.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
Trust so good.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Well get that and get you know, the pesto. The
garlic bread is great, and the spicy tomato sauce with
penny unbelievable, a little spicy.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
I mean, you're gonna, you know, you'll feel on the
way home.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
You'll have to you know, you'll have to shock at home.
You go home and uh, you know, and take and
and sit a spell. You know, non't go ahead keep talking?
What if that'll ever be a turn?

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I gotta take a shock shack.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
I don't think he'd like that.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from kf
I Am six forty.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I went to Costco last night after finishing up work here,
and I saw that they're selling Farmer John hot dogs.
That's the Dodger dog, or it used to used to
be the Dodger dog and it was twelve ninety five
for I think it was ninety six of them. There's
a lot of dogs for twelve ninety five. So I
put it in the cart, went to buy buns, and then

(09:45):
I looked down, like, when am I ever gonna eat
ninety six hot dogs? I don't know if you can
freeze him? Can you freeze hot dogs? Sure you can?
And there's still there's still as good. Haven't you heard
the old.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
Rumors? You know, what are they called? You know, the
wives tales that you've heard of? On what frozen hot dogs?

Speaker 11 (10:08):
No?

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Is that something we can talk about in the air?
Probably not? Okay, No I didn't.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I didn't.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
Every year they have an end of the year thing
where hospitals emergency rooms release a list of things they
founded in people throughout the year.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Oh oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, the frozen hot dog. Yes, yeah,
I wonder. Now I'm paranoid because that's all I was getting.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
I saw the look of like, oh yeah, I think
from Steff to yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Now I'm paranoid because that's the only you know, I guess.
I shopped around. I was gonna almost get this, and
almost get that, almost get this. But I only had
the hot dogs in my cart for about twenty minutes.
Now I'm thinking everyone that looked at me like, Okay,
that's an emergency room visit. This guy's going home to
freeze him and he's going off to Encino emergency room.
Everybody not quite there yet. You know, in life, I still,

(11:04):
you know, get a satis. I still get a lift
out of winning a race at Santa Anita or watching
a hockey game. You know, I'm not the dogs. I
think the frozen hot dogs at the emergency room are
for guys who've burned out on all the other joys
in life. I think, you know, that is an end

(11:24):
of the line choice. That's right, That's got to be
some move though, you know, I don't know, uh solo
act I imagine solo well, you know, I don't know.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
It's it's hard enough to come to decision yourself, but
then to find somebody that's willing to participate with you.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
I don't know how it would begin the letter, Dear Jen.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
It started out like a penhouse letter. I never thought
this would happen to me. I've got an idea this
weekend Remember we were going to your dad's for dinner.
What if we stayed home and had a relaxing night together. Uh,

(12:20):
fill you in on details later, baby, love t bones?
And what do you go for the Dodger dog or
the hal fee? What are you going for? The tiny
wieners breakfast? The ones they serve at a at a

(12:42):
like the Emmys. You know those appetizer whenies smoky smoky
smokeys my new license plate smoky Tea's or.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
The ones that come in like the Kansa Beans beanie whenies. Alright,
Jaron is still is this care fine?

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Yes it is.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
It's not your Rushland body and anymore?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Sorry?

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Yeah, sort of f this up here?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
All right, let's talk about this this thing that's going
on here under consumption. Have you heard about this? Kids?
Nowadays they're into under consumption. I don't understand this.

Speaker 10 (13:30):
Under consumption is a trend right now. But really what
it is is a lifestyle choice and the goal is
to not only consume less, but become a more mindful
and intentional shopper.

Speaker 7 (13:42):
So what this means is using up the things that you.

Speaker 10 (13:45):
Already have all over your home that could be using
up the beauty products that are in your bathroom, wearing
and styling the clothes that are already in your closet.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Okay, yeah, I'm with her on this. I'm not buying
any more shirts. I have probably sixty or seventy shirts,
and a shirt last be twenty years. I'm that's a
wrap on shirts for me. I'm not buying anymore. I've
got enough.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
This happened to me the other day.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
I went I ran out of conditioner, and I was like,
you know, on my list at the store and the
I'm like, let me see if I've got any.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
And I look and there's I got like five of them.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Oh is that right? Yeah, I've done that before with soap.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
You know.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I went to buy bar soap and then and Jen's like,
you know, you got thirty bars in the.

Speaker 8 (14:28):
I think we forget that. We put stuff in the cupboards.
Ye look in the back, and then we go keep
buying new.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
That's right, So that's right.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
Part of what this is.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
I think she's on the.

Speaker 10 (14:36):
Something here using up old cleaning supplies and just being
more thoughtful before you go out and buy something.

Speaker 7 (14:43):
And there are so many benefits to this.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
I think the big main one is the sustainability aspect,
because we're all really thinking about the environment.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
How are we when we're going to buy a bar soap?
We're all really thinking about the you know, by the way,
we don't all think of the environment all the time.
I know a lot of people do, but a lot
of people don't as well. So there's that group. Don't
shame us that we don't think about the environment every
five seconds, please, we're all.

Speaker 7 (15:11):
Really thinking about the environment.

Speaker 10 (15:13):
How can we be more sustainable and more conscious consumers
on a day to day basis.

Speaker 12 (15:18):
I can see how this would resonate with everyone, especially
younger people as well. You know, saving space where you
live is also a seeming benefit. So it sounds like
what you're saying is under consumption isn't just about saving
money that there's a bit more to it than that.

Speaker 10 (15:32):
Yeah, it's called under consumption absolutely, so yes, when you
consume less, you're naturally going to be saving a little
bit more money, But there are so many other elements
to it. A lot of people do associate under consumption
with minimalism. If you want to go that route, you
absolutely can.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Good, Okay, we've got permission from her.

Speaker 10 (15:49):
What I found through conversations with tons of people, and
I would say most notably with gen Z is they're
not necessarily embracing minimalism when they think of under consumption.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
They're really just trying to what I like to say,
buy less and buy better.

Speaker 10 (16:05):
So they're being more thoughtful when it comes to quality
over quantity. Everything is getting pushed through a filter of
is this a higher quality purchase that adds value to
my life?

Speaker 7 (16:17):
What is the ROI on this purchase?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Wait?

Speaker 7 (16:19):
What what is the roll I on this purchase?

Speaker 2 (16:22):
You mean you have to have an ROI on a shampoo?
What's the what's the return on investment on a bottle
of shampoo?

Speaker 10 (16:29):
What is the roll I on this purchase? I've also
noticed that a lot of young people.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Are crazy listless.

Speaker 7 (16:38):
I've also noticed that a lot of young people are.

Speaker 10 (16:43):
Kind of dope embracing like everyday luxuries, meaning that they
may be less inclined to buy a lot of stuff,
but the things that they are buying feel really luxurious.

Speaker 7 (16:54):
And add to their day to day life.

Speaker 10 (16:56):
So yes, you can see, I'm with him with that
real action there and add.

Speaker 7 (17:01):
To their day to day life.

Speaker 10 (17:02):
So so hm, so yes, you can all right, I
can't take that anywhere.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
The Pope's funeral is tomorrow. It's gonna be on television
on a lot of networks. It's a big deal. There's
over a billion Catholics in this world, and a lot
of them are gonna be watching the funeral tomorrow of
the Pope.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Tomorrow.

Speaker 11 (17:29):
Tomorrow's funeral will be attended by more than one hundred
and thirty delegations, with fifty heads of state, including US
President Donald Trump, and a major security operation is now underway,
thousands of police and special forces on the ground, aerial
surveillance by multiple helicopters, and an anti drone military unit,
and all will be on high alert during the transfer

(17:50):
of Pope Francis's body to Santa Maria Majore, his chosen
final resting place, the Vaticant releasing this photo of his
simple tune when this is laid to rest. One of
the things he will be remembered most for elevating women
to senior positions. Poloma Garthia Overheado was the first woman
Vatican spokesperson, and.

Speaker 13 (18:10):
The honor of my life is at the beginning, he
did baby steps regarding women top level positions, but there's
no way back.

Speaker 11 (18:21):
He named a number of women to high profile positions
over the years, and from his hospital bed last month.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
I was a little I think I was a step ahead.
I got a woman producer and a woman doing traffic.
So I don't know and see any big celebrations for me.
But yeah, not the hell.

Speaker 11 (18:40):
Promote.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I just like to quietly improve society. I don't do
it publicly, just quietly improve the lives of women.

Speaker 11 (18:51):
Promoted Sister Raphaela Petrini as the Governor of the Vatican.

Speaker 14 (18:55):
What pop Friensis has done is simply taken these women,
these religious sisters or or lay women who have worked
behind the scenes carrying this incredible burden on their shoulders,
and given them the title, put them in the front lines,
put them in the limelight. Finally gave them the spotlight
that they deserve.

Speaker 11 (19:12):
And this week, inside Saint Peter's Basilica, eighty one year
old French Argentine nun sister Genevieve jenen GroE, a close
friend of Francis, approached his open coffin a restricted area
for male clergyman.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
I didn't know that that the open coffin is for
men only, a.

Speaker 11 (19:28):
Restricted area for male clergyman.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I was unaware of that the women are allowed to
go check out the open coffin.

Speaker 11 (19:37):
A close friend of Frances approached his open coffin a
restricted area for male clergyman.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Wow, man oh man, I had no idea when she.

Speaker 11 (19:46):
Burst into tears, no one interrupted her. She was allowed
her moment of personal grief, a break in protocol, the
one Francis may have approved of.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
That's really cool. I was completely unaware that the Atholic
Church is still separating.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Men and women when it comes to the open casket.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
The images of her standing in front of the in
front of the coffin, she was still outside of these ropes,
on red velvet ropes, as you saw all the other
clergymen just kind of moving and walking past her, and
she's just standing there, just amazing.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Oh that's wild. Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Those memories see her pretty deep into you when you
see that. I remember when Ronald Reagan died and Nancy
Reagan was standing for a long period of time very
emotional at his casket, and I still remember that that
was a pretty emotional time. And that was twenty years

(20:46):
ago two thousand and five, I think two thousand and five.
I believe that was two thousand and five. So the
funeral is going to be tomorrow on a lot of
TV stations. I know it's going to be all over
cable news. I know Channel seven. David Ono is over
in the Vatican for Channel seven and they're covering that beautifully.

(21:10):
So watch it this weekend on Saturday. Take a break
from NHL, from the draft, from baseball, from basketball playoffs,
maybe watch a little of the Catholic funeral if you're
Catholic or not, who knows if.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
You're interested in that. But that's happening tomorrow on television.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
Roll Reagan died June fifth, two thousand and four.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Two thousand and four. Oh okay, that makes sense. Sorry, yeah, yeah,
I thought I was born two thousand and five. Yeah,
it was two thousand and four. I'll go with that.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Yeah, I'll go June two thousand and four.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Fine, Yeah, because he died And that makes sense because
I was in the Bahamas on my honeymoon when he died. Wow,
And I got back in time to drive to Ventura
to watch Air Force one land at Port Winemi with
his casket on board and watched the limousine with Nancy

(22:12):
Reagan drive by, waving to the crowd.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
And I was one of those people in that crowd.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
That's kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Big fan of Ronald Reagan was.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
I was at his I want to say, his second inauguration.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
I was around DC.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
My dad was working. Oddly enough, he was doing construction
at the time, and he was working on the Heritage Foundations.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Building in DC. Wow, you've been young.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Yeah, yeah, I was.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
No, Actually it was the first It was nineteen eighty
or eighty one when he was evagurated, but yeah, so
I was, yeah, thirteen, and yeah. We walked outside when
he was finished, and I didn't know what was going on.
I didn't know the significance of the day, and I
just see all these crowds.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
And I saw, you know, limo go by, and yeah,
it was crazy.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
Also saw him when I took a tour of the
White House when he took off in his helicopter. So
we looked out the window and saw him like lift
off in the Helicopter's crazy.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
It's amazing, you know, it's really terrible, and you know,
it would have been great if if we all had
cameras like we do nowadays. You know, to have captured
that on camera, you know, the thirteen year old Crozier
staring at the present President Reagan, that would have been great.
Krozier being all Stutley even at thirteen. Yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
We got some texts or dms or I don't know
from some people. It said that they saw the casket
of the pope and that men and women were both
walking past it.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Okay, that's not what we were talking about.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
To get close and get right up where you can
touch the casket and touch the pope was reserved for
male clergy members up until now. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
There are multiple levels to access that you can get
as far as.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
How close right, Yeah, there's a you know, like when
you go to a concert. There are different levels of
VIP and getting close and being able to touch the
corpse of the of the pope who has been who
has died, was reserved for male clergy members period up

(24:26):
until now. So I'm uh, I'm up for change.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
I'm up for it.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
A little bit of change here, a little bit of
change there, slow change, but i think we're falling behind
in this country.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Gang.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
I just saw something on TV where in parts I
don't know whether this was in China or Japan or
in South Korea, but there was a marathon where these
teenagers were building robots to run a marathon. Teenagers in
Asia building robots who run marathons. The teenagers here assaulting

(25:09):
cops and throwing rocks at gay guys. A little different,
a little different. I think we got to turn this around.
I don't know how, but I have a feeling we're
going to fall further behind if we keep going this direction.
And that's my two cents, all right, Angel Martinez. The

(25:33):
off ramps on ramps at will Sure are closed. Is
that correct?

Speaker 6 (25:37):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 9 (25:38):
The ramps off ramps from both directions of the four
h five at Wilshire are shut down, and that's due
to a protest that's happening in front of the Federal
building right there. They also have Wilshire Boulevards shut down
between the four oh five and Veteran Avenue.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Wait Wilshire's shutdown where.

Speaker 9 (25:56):
Between the four oh five and Veteran so on the
east side of the four five along will Shirts closed.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Currently, all right, So it's it is almost six o'clock,
ten minutes of six.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
That's real bad timing. A lot of people want to
get out of there.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 9 (26:11):
The surrounding surface streets are an absolute nightmare right now.
It's just jampacked everywhere.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
All right, we'll keep an eye on that. Oh Angel,
I know you're going to be somewhere this weekend. People
want to see you. You're going to be at the
Share your pension booth in Orange County, Is that right?

Speaker 9 (26:28):
I'm going to be well, actually before then, I'm going
to pension grabbers anonymous and then I'll be out because
the meeting couldn't shake me again. But I'll be at
the Regi Market in Dana Point sling in some naughty sandals.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Oh good, that's a big, huge you know, that's a
very very upscale. You know, they don't just allow anybody.
And I did some research. It's the same company that
puts on the big event in Coasta Mesa at the
Orange County Fairgrounds. They have really high end products and
it's impossible to get in unless you audition and they

(27:08):
know who you are and you're you have a reputation
for making quality product.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
You know, that's exactly right.

Speaker 9 (27:14):
They're very, very particular about the vendors that they allow
into their events, and so I'm really honored to be
a part of it.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
The Region Market is just a really fantastic event. It's
not just vendors.

Speaker 9 (27:27):
They have its surf culture, it's vintage, it's beautiful vintage items,
it's music. They've got a car show there, like vintage cars.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Is it downtown Data Point?

Speaker 9 (27:38):
Yes, it's a long Dell Proto. They close the whole
street of Del Proto down.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Is that the main drag down there?

Speaker 6 (27:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (27:45):
It runs it is it? It runs parallel to Pacific
Coast High.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Right, Well, don't judge me, I'm just not from there.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
Ah well, jeez, did I sound judge you when I said?

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Okay, okay, So the main drag in Data Point closed
from all.

much fun that the place just fills and it's a
great day. Tons of beautiful things to see, new products,
a lot of vintage, a lot of up up cycle.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
Is that how you say it? You lady, take something vintage.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah, and you're gonna be down there with your flip.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
Flops, yeah, naughty sandals.

Speaker 2 (28:39):

just west of Violet Lantern.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
