Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on DEMYA from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
KFI AM at six forty. It's Conway show. Mark Thompson
is here. Who nobody won the lottery last night? I
was involved, Bellio was involved. Did you get lottery ticket?
Speaker 3 (00:20):
I do it through the station. Oh you do?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Oh, that's right.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
We're all involved with KFI.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, buy a whole block. There's eighty of us. Yeah,
so that'll be about four million dollars each. All I
know is they need forty bucks a year regularly. Well,
it's going to be a eight hundred and fifteen million dollars,
eight hundred and fifteen million dollars, so if yeah, let
me see eight fifteen and there's eighty two of us
(00:47):
in that pool, so we get nine point nine million
dollars each if we win. However, Michelle Cube, god lover.
I'd love this woman. Great producer, great wife, great daughter
to her both terrific mom and dad or dad worked
(01:08):
at NASA. Nothing negative about her ever, But the worst
number picker in the history of the lottery.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Doesn't she just go random numbers?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I don't know. I've never asked her, but Stinkham just
never ever hits the big one.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Well, most of them are not going to hit, right,
I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
That's not the way she sold it to me. Do
you want to get involved in a losing lottery scheme?
That's not how she sold it to me. Oh that's
too good, that's too good. Are you in on the
You're in on the office point?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I'm there, I say, as I say, I have to
give him forty bucks every year.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Sammy, Sammy's in for Steph. Fush's still under repair. Are
you in the lottery pool? Yep?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Are you Enkroage? Yeah? Sure, I know.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Bellio's in. Bellio is counting that as plan A.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
By the way, well that's not good. Yeah, it's no good.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
Why is that?
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Well for the reason to see the previous point, which
is that most of the tickets don't hit.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah, I mean when I say most, I mean virtually
all of them.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
One will Bellio? You thought for sure we'd been.
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Last night, I really was, But I guess it was
just meant that we're supposed.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
To have more money.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
So, Angel, are you in on the office pool?
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:32):
You know it all right? I want you to be.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Excluded, man, if you are excluded though. Can you imagine
the depression that will hit, Like if you didn't throw
your twenty dollars in, we all hit, we get nine
million dollars each.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yeah, that'll be a rough one.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
And you're still getting you're still with the cup of noodles.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Oh, have you the worst?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
The worst? How about this though? There's a flash flood
warning out there in the desert and they just got
hit with a little earthquake as well. They're getting a
ding dong doub there ding and dong in the desert,
thunderstorms until eight pm. So that's could be a wild
afternoon out there in the desert, thunderstorms, possible flooding. And
(03:14):
then they had an earthquake, an earthquake, all right, those
are the big stories. And then they're shooting in South
Los Angeles and five people were shots. So we're keep
an eye on those big stories. The other big story
coming out of Tarzana is the home depot, the alleged
home depot theft ring and people have been arrested and
ten million dollars where the product was lifted just by
(03:36):
this one ring.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, that's a lot of product.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
And how many other people are stealing from home depot.
I see it all the time all the time, you know,
people walking out with a product that they didn't pay for.
But now these chaps, they're looking at a long prison
stay if.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
That makes it more expensive for the rest of us.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
That's exactly right, That's exactly that's why it matters.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yes, it's incredible.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
That press conference just wrapping up a few minutes ago,
and we understood from the sheriff from the Ventura County
Sheriff's Department that their task force was responsible for taking
down a criminal enterprise that allegedly sold over ten million
dollars of merchandise at multiple different home depots in the
past couple of years. I want to bring in Sheriff Freihoff,
thank you so much for joining us. Congratulations to the
(04:18):
hard work of.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
Your task force.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
Tell us a little bit about this criminal enterprise that
you said is unlike any other case you've seen before.
Speaker 8 (04:27):
The level of sophistication for this crew is something that
we've never seen. There was over seventy one home depots
hit over five hundred times. Wow, over the past five
six months.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
I'm sure I've run into these guys. Been home deep
all the time.
Speaker 8 (04:38):
No, you know, right, that's over in collective loss over
ten million dollars. We sees three point seven million dollars
worth of property when we hit there, when we did
our raids on August fourteenth. This is unlike anything we've
ever seen. Very sophisticated crews. They were stealing daily. They
never took a day off. These booster CRUs never took
one single day off.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
We've got to get in the work ethic, you know. Yeah,
they didn't take a Sunday or shoot themselves into the operation.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, that's how you get wealthy, you know, you work
at it.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
They could only turn that dedication and focus into goodness
and niceness instead of yeah, evil and robbery.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Well, there's teach zone, you know. That's the way they
wanted to go through life.
Speaker 8 (05:16):
Every single day they hit Ventura County, they would hit
all of our stores here in Ventura County to the
tune of six to ten thousand dollars a day that
they were stealing from our home.
Speaker 7 (05:23):
Depots and home depots in Ventura County, in La County,
Sam Berardino, I mean, we're seeing images from Home Depot
of them stealing stuff as we speak.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
A rough ride for Home Depot this year. You know,
they're getting blamed for a lot of the ice actions
their property. Then they got people stealing from them. Man,
it's a tough year for home Depot.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
And like you said, this was a daily.
Speaker 8 (05:46):
Operation, daily operation from Sandleis Obispo south right, this one
all the way to San Diego Riverside San Berdino Counties.
This crew was relentless and their willingness to steal from
all of our businesses and then sell it on either
eBay or Amazon or out of their warehouse for just
three caps. And it's no different than stealing from the register.
They're taking property and then selling it for a reduced rate.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
Now we have some images of those folks who were arrested.
You brought us out here today to announce that you've
made these arrests. You've also put forth criminal charges. What
are we talking about? Who? And there's a ring leader, right,
there's a leader of this criminal enterprise.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Well that's also great organizational skills to have one guy
in charge of everything.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
You know you want that so they so far, they've
displayed what you feel is kind of an initiative and
a dedication and a tirelessness. Very sophisticate and the kind
of operation led by one person with some real management skills.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Right, It's like, you know, you don't win the World
Series without a great manager.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yeah, you so there are aspects, might say most of
the operation you respect from an organizational standpoint, but just
the goal is a bad one.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Right.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
If if these guys went and created their own legitimate
business with that kind of work ethic and those kind
of organanizational skills, they would have been very successful. They
just didn't want to do it that way.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, you know, too much paperwork, legitimate way.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah, it's easier to do it the way they did it,
but the consequences are rougher at the end. Now these
guys are looking at years and appears so yeah in prison.
Speaker 8 (07:19):
Yeah, so David All was defense right, so he was
the lead person that was receiving all the stolen goods
from these different booster crews that are delivering it to
his either business.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Do you think we'll ever see you know, we have
in cooper'stown. They've got the is that the baseball or football?
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Baseball?
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Baseball, then football in Canton, I think, and then rock
and roll is in Cleveland. Will there ever be a
Criminals Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Oh that's a interesting idea, Tim, You may want to
do that. In many ways, people would find that as intriguing,
you know, or even more, you know, to see so
much legend around these notorious people.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah. Oh, there's the Jeffrey Dahmer pop up store. Let's
slide in there and see what happened with this guy.
And then it's a you know, it's a guy out there,
you know, three D version of Jeffrey Dahmer eating people.
I think it'd be interesting.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Yeah, you may want to take another meeting on that
particular exhibit, but I agree it could be interesting, right.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
I would like to go see the Criminal Hall of Fame, sure,
you know, and then take all that money and give
it to the victims of the crime. I see, I'm
onto something, all right.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
I think I'm on this.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Yeah, there's a there's something there. There's a mobster museum
in Las Vegas, Is that right?
Speaker 2 (08:30):
It was not like one of those phony Bonnie and Clyde.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
No, the Mafia Museum. I think.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Actually it's it's pretty good. It takes you through some
of the you know.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I remember seeing the Bonnie and Clyde car in Las
Vegas at the MGM. And then I was in Atlantic
City two years later and they go, oh, you want
to see the Bonnie and Clyde car. I remember it
was at prim Yeah. It But and then I discovered
there's like twenty of them.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Oh is that right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
What'sn't just like an on loan? Oh yeah, somebody just
shot up an old you know, Ford model T and uh,
you know, put an address with blood on it and go,
there's the Bonnie and Clyde car.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah that sucks. That's it. You see Bonnie and Clyde.
The're notorious.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
You'd want to cook you got them, Jesse James, you know,
these kinds of old school and.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Then you got the modern you know, guys that have
stepped off the curb, you know, making O. J. Simpson right,
you know you got that room. I think people will
be interested in.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Seeing that criminal Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah, but I but I drop Hall of Fame, Hall
of Shame same.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
But I also think that it could be ripe for protesters,
you know, for families that have been affected by crime.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yeah yeah, yeah, seeking those people.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Out there, you know, party killers, or to his home.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
And then he was in selling them out of his business.
His ex wife was also running a similar fencing operation.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Wow, his ex wife was running a similar, not even
the same operation. He's smart enough, not even to work
with his ex wife. Ux ex wife, she was involved
in some other business that's exactly like his God at mighty,
what organizational skills these people have.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
His ex wife was also running a similar fencing operation,
and his brother in law was also then selling things
on Amazon and eBay. Very well orchestrated operation, and to
the tombs of millions of dollars.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, very well orchestrated. But somebody dropped the ball because
they got caught.
Speaker 8 (10:18):
Very well orchestrated operation and to the tombs of millions
of dollars.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
What happened to him? How did it fall apart?
Speaker 9 (10:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
I don't know the details on how they you know,
somebody ratted them out. Maybe somebody didn't get the taste
they were promised. They went to the cops. That's how
it always happened. Yeah, you know, hey, I was promised,
you know, thirty thousand dollars. They gave me twenty eight grand.
They said I didn't earn the extra two. So here's
how they did it. Yeah, these were.
Speaker 7 (10:42):
Things like dimmers and breakers, things that you and I
could have bought found and bought online, presumably from this man.
Speaker 8 (10:49):
Absolutely, you know these are things that we all need. Switches, dimmers,
every used for home. Certainly contractors are buying this in bold.
But if you go on to Amazon or you're on
eBay and you're like, oh, I need a dimmer switch,
I can buy it here while it's half price, I'm
going to buy that. Well, it was all just stolen
property that they were selling.
Speaker 7 (11:05):
The largest home deepot death case in the country, and
these suspects brought to justice by your task force here
And where is the inventor?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Is that the sheriff from Ventura And.
Speaker 7 (11:16):
We understand a lot of their operation and a lot
of their work funded by a state grant.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
That's a fact.
Speaker 8 (11:21):
So this state provided a grant opportunity for all the
counties we applied for one here in Ventura County. We
received enten million dollars for the Sheriff's office to coordinate
with other agencies in Ventura County as well as the
DA also received two million dollars for a vertical prosecution team.
So this case required fifty search warrants, so we needed
to have a DA that is dedicated to this team
reviewing all those search warrts so we could bring this
(11:42):
case to a culmination. Unfortunately, this grant is running out
in about a year a year and a half for
that funding is the funding is running out. We need
this grant to be reinstituted so we continue to go
after these crews that are causing so much harm in
our community.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
Understood, all right, thank you so much, Haraff Roger that
she said, understood, all right, thank you A ten ten
we got understood. All right, Thank you so much here,
and congratulations to your task force and the hard work
that they've been doing. You as also said at the
end of this press conference that while you made those
fourteen arrests, this case is still ongoing. More arrests are likely.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
That's correct, all right, what a case out there. Home depot, man,
a lot of people involved. Yeah, fourteen arrest and they're
going to keep going.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
They're more.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah, yeah, I like that home depot.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
All right.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
We live on KFIM six forty. It is common Thompson
kfi AM six forty, Conway. Shall we have breaking news
coming out of South Los Angeles an update on the shooting.
Five people were shot, and here is the update from
I think LAPD was giving this update here.
Speaker 8 (12:39):
So we want to get back out of that breaking
news out of Vermont NOLS.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Several people shot. That's right.
Speaker 8 (12:44):
Let's listen in here. Officers speaking right now.
Speaker 10 (12:47):
Right now, at this time, I can tell you that
they're still being worked done and being treated as we speak.
Everybody here is an adult ranging in age right now
from nineteen to thirty five. At this time, I can
tell you I believe all five of them are miles
just behind us out here in front of one of
the stores here in the parking lot, that we have
five victims that have been shot. We're working through it
as we speak. I couldn't tell you the number of
suspects we're looking for a current.
Speaker 11 (13:04):
We have multiple.
Speaker 10 (13:05):
Casings that we found at this time, but I don't
know the exact number.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
A radical day, five people shot at a gas station
in where did he say the area was?
Speaker 6 (13:15):
We want to get back out of that breaking news
out of.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Vermont Knowles, Vermont Knowles. Five people shot at a gas station.
You know, Moe Kelly always says, if you're going to
get gas get it.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
During the day.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Now you can't even get it during the day. Yeah,
you know, you leave yourself so vulnerable when you go
to a gas station because there's a lot of people
around that look suspicious at every gas station. Homeless guy,
guy down on his log, guy pushing a cart around,
another guy looking at his car. You never know.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Who's who at a gas station.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
So the one benefit you have you haven't been to
a gas station in years.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
That's true.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
The electric you know, I have to do that thing
you talk about. We have to wait thirty five minutes
from my car to charge up. But that's only when
I save your life though that's only Yeah, I mean,
I don't know. Look, there are a lot of bad
stories in the Naked city type thing, and the chances
of you being harmed at a gas station are still
(14:16):
pretty small.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
So I think that we in the news business, we
have a sense of the world is a little more
dangerous than it probably is. Not to in any way diminist.
This is a serious, serious thing. But I just think
that walking around with that anxiety is also not a
good way to be.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
I think you're right.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I think you're right, But then they'll say the flip
side of that is all five of those guys thought
the same thing this morning. Sure she's gonna get shot,
not me at a gas station. Then bang, you know
you're down.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
So it's there's a randomness to a lot of stuff
in life for me.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
But you're right, you can't let it control your life. Yeah, yeah,
you got to live your life and you know, hope
you're not next.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
You know, I got an electric car because I want
to avoid gas station threat and uh it ran out
of juice out in the desert. It was one hundred
and ten degrees blah blah blah. You know you begin
that right, I mean you could. There are a bunch
of stories where people are overcompensating and oversteering the other way,
and I get it.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
This happens to be a big day in the entertainment business.
Bellio is a huge fan of Taylor Swift and that
Kelsey kid, Travis Kelson, Travis Travis and you. Your dreams
have come true today.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
They are now a happy story.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
They're engaged.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Uh, evaluate this in terms of your own elation for
your own nuptials.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
That's where you're married. Okay, you know that's a great area.
Mark Thompson Bellio. How excited were you when you heard
this news today initially and then we'll talk about Mark's
angle here. When you heard that these two were engaged?
What was your level excitement? Where were you when you heard.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
I was in the bathroom, oh boy, at the vanity
getting ready, okay, and I heard some news. I was
listening to the news, and to be honest with you,
I thought they were already engaged. I did too, so
I wasn't that. I was like, oh, okay, but weren't
(16:22):
they already engaged?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
They didn't know?
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Did they do it? Two weeks ago?
Speaker 6 (16:25):
I just read where ed Kelsey, that's Travis's dad, said
that Travis proposed the day they did the podcast, so
that was August tenth.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
It also looked like he got on both knees, which
is on.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
I got down on booth me.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
I just took double my chancewers.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Remember Mondo asked that Mondo was going to get engaged
and I and he said, you know, he asked, you know,
he was going to ask the father of the young
lady for permission to marry. And I go, that's great,
and he goes, yeah, I'm gonna get down both knees
and do the whole thing, Like, wait.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
What you can do?
Speaker 5 (17:01):
One know what you said? You said you're gonna beg her.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I've never seen that before.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Hey, whenever it takes, you know, I guess they got
across the finish line.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Look, if it's Taylor Swift, she deserves both knees.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
You know, she's bringing an awful lot to that game.
They're a power couple though, Yeah, they are. So they
are engaged.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Now.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Mark's question was interesting. Did you see any parallels of
you and John was at that level of excitement? What
was going on when you were engaged? And where were you?
Speaker 6 (17:38):
I was a laguna montage at sunset on one of
the benches.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
At the cliffs one knee or.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
He got down on both knees.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Love that.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
He begged me, wait both knees.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
But both knees, and I also was on both knees.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Really we got a dwarf on engagement door very very well.
Look if I can't come up with that, who cares?
Speaker 5 (18:04):
That's Tim Conway j everybody?
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Was he close enough to the cliffs if you said, no,
he's going over?
Speaker 5 (18:12):
No, we were not close enough.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
A little more dangerous.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Did you expect it? Were you expecting it earlier? Ninety
nine percent of women say that it was overdue.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
I uh, yeah, it was way overdue. It was way overdue.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
And I did I yeah, I felt it. I felt
something was up, something was odd, but I did not
know it would be that location, which was spectacular.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
You said the first thing that raised an eyebrow that
he usually doesn't walk around on vacation near the beach
with knee pads on.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
Yeah, that was the first, like something's up. Yeah, I
thought that was weird.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
And then he got down on both knees and what
did he say to you?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
He just told me what I meant to him.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Wow, that's sweet.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
And did he wanted to spend the rest of his
life with me?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah, that's really.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
We just had our anniversary. You missed it?
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Oh damn? When was that?
Speaker 5 (19:18):
It was August twentieth?
Speaker 3 (19:20):
I got write that down? And which one is it now? Sharon?
Speaker 5 (19:23):
Nine?
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Nine?
Speaker 6 (19:25):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Nine?
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Okay? What is nine?
Speaker 2 (19:27):
I know one is ten? To his paper? What is nine?
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Waterboarding had always worked? H Yeah, it doesn't matter who's delivering.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
No, No, it doesn't matter. So Taylor Swift engage. We'll
come back and give you the details. It's a big
story going on in this country. It might be the
biggest story of the of the day. We're live on
Ki's Comen Thompson.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Sorry about that. Kf I Am six fort is Conway Show.
I was talking to Bellio about social media. We're having
a social media conversation, right, yeah, okay, yeah, So I'm
not blaming her. I'm just saying that I was talking
to her. All Right, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey engaged.
Let's find out more about how this happened. What's going
(20:24):
to go on? Are they going to be living in
Sugrin Falls, Ohio. There's a rumor going around they bought
a seventeen million dollar home outside of Cleveland Heights, outside
of Cleveland, Ohio, and they were going to be living
in a beautiful mansion off the four twenty two in
Sugarn Falls, where my dad was born and raised. Beautiful, beautiful,
(20:45):
small little town c H A g R I N.
Sugrin Falls FA L l S. Look it up. The
Thanksgiving movie was.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I who was the.
Speaker 7 (20:59):
It was.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
There's a thing, a very famous Thanksgiving movie that was
shot there and I can't remember the name of it,
shot where Sugar and falls, Ohio. It wasn't the Shining
That would be wrong, right.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
That was a Thanksgiving movie.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Planes trans An Automobiles is the one I think of
thanks Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
I'll figure it out. But Travis and Taylor are getting married.
That's so exciting, Tim, Now, who's going to be invited?
Do you invite the whole team to all the Kansas
City chiefs go?
Speaker 3 (21:26):
You have to, you.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Really think so, you have to. But he's not on
the team anywhere.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Didn't he retire? Oh? Did he?
Speaker 2 (21:32):
I didn't know?
Speaker 3 (21:34):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
We also have some cracker barrel news that you looked up.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Oh, the Cracker Barel thing is big.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
The cracker Barrel's going back to the cracker and the barrel.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
That's what they're saying to Wow. The President of the
United States decided to weigh in on this. Well, apparently
they're quite responsive to the President and his offerings. Cracker
Barrel backtracking hours after Trump told them to.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
And I also heard that he's he's sending in the
National Guard to arrest the Hamburglar.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Yeah, right, he's getting involved in a lot of stuff.
It's about time we got a president who get involved
in this stuff.
Speaker 9 (22:10):
By the way I looked it up, there was a
nineteen seventy seven Christmas classic filmed in Sugar and Falls.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
What's the name of it, The Gathering. That's right, that's
what it is. The Gathering. Oh so you weren't quite off. Yeah,
that was off by a couple of weeks. The Gathering.
Ellen Hunt is and and it was it was Helen.
Speaker 9 (22:28):
I'm was that was a different movie, But apparently that
was filmed into Sugar and Falls too. I see you
by with Helen Hunt.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Okay, but the Gathering, but I'll talk about and I
think the Gathering was with one of the actors in
Mary Tyler Moore was in that or Okay, Ed Asner
was in that.
Speaker 9 (22:47):
Movie, Maureen Stapleton.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Okay, that's great. That's a great movie. It was filmed
in the town the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce you're
going to move to? The rumor has it.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
They're going to move to Chugarn Fall.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
The rumor has it that they they bought a seventeen
million dollar house in Sugar and Falls. Wow, that's the rumor.
And that's where they filmed the gathering, and that's where
my dad was born and raised. What a small world,
small ass world, which is not true, it's huge.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
But it's that community is probably a small community.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
It's you know, two thousand people, nineteen hundred people live
in that community.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Wow, what an interesting choice for them to live.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
It is the most beautiful town in the world, in
the absolute world. They got a little popcorn shop there
on the falls that you know, if you're running for president,
you stop by there. George Bush was there. I think
Bill Clinton stopped by. It's really a cool town. But
Taylor Swift is going to get married to Travis Kelcey.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
I'm very excited about it.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
I'm excited as well.
Speaker 12 (23:43):
It has been a high profile love story for two years,
and today we learned the big news. Finally, Taylor Swift
at Travis Kelcey. They are engaged.
Speaker 8 (23:51):
Entertainment grew George binoccuous here with what we know so far.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
I hope this is a long engagement. I want a
big wedding. I can't wait. This is fun news today.
Speaker 13 (24:00):
See but it all started as a bit of a
fairy tale with a football star and the pop star.
The couple started dating after Kelsey publicly expressed his interest
in Swift after he attended Swift's aristur in Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
And he made her a bracelet I think with his
phone number on it. I think something like that.
Speaker 13 (24:17):
A few months later, she was attending a Chiefs game,
and the rest is history. The singer songwriter and the
Chiefs all star tight End announced their engagement in a
joint post on Instagram alongside several photos from their floral
filled garden proposal. The photos show Kelsey proposing on bended knee.
Other shots show the pair embracing and sitting on a
(24:38):
bench underneath the pink and white floral spray of flowers,
and the caption Taylor wrote, your the English your English
teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
That's that's cool. You know, I think this thing was
whole was really orchestrated, you know, with the big floral
arrangement in the background. This is not you know, going
to the cliffs up in Oxnard.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
They sorry, they're paying off some you know, expectations, but.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
This has to be like that because those photos are
going to be shared by hundreds of millions of people.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
They they know that there's an obligation that they have
yes to social media and to media generally.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
It's not that most people don't have.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Right Bellio, did you have do you have photos of
you getting engaged? No? No? No, missed opportunity? Huh huge, Yeah,
that's too bad.
Speaker 13 (25:31):
Kelsey's teammate, defensive end Mike Dana, was thrilled to hear
the news.
Speaker 11 (25:36):
That's awesome, you know, I'm so happy for them, Trev Taylor, like,
that's a wonderful you know, time in life, wonderful part
of their jun journey. So you know, that's a beautiful
thing to see, you know, great for them, man, you know,
that's a blessing. Anytime you find that type of joy,
happiness and love. I think that's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 13 (25:53):
Kelsey proposed with the ring he helped design. The stone
is an old mind, brilliant cut.
Speaker 11 (25:59):
He's art.
Speaker 13 (26:00):
It's the new football season in just a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Oh so we didn't retire. I thought he always brother retired.
That's what happened, right, But I guess that diamond is
maybe seven figures eighteen carrots.
Speaker 13 (26:11):
Wow, her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl, will
be released on October third. Brittany Mahomes, the wife of
Chiefs quarterback Patrick and Travis's good friends, shared the announcement
via her Instagram stories and wrote, two of the most
genuine people meet and fall in love. Mine, two of
the most genuine people meet and fall in love.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Well, you don't think they're genuine, I don't know.
Speaker 13 (26:38):
Two of the most genuine people meet and fall in love.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Just so happy.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I don't know them, I don't know any I don't
know them personally.
Speaker 13 (26:46):
Just so happy for these two. And by the way,
Danny and I were talking, we think they need a
couple name and it should be Swift Seas.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
That I might take another meeting on that name, and
and I would tone down the reaction to it as well.
Speaker 13 (27:04):
Swift Seas.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
There you go, that's a good one.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
You're welcome. I wish them well.
Speaker 12 (27:13):
I do want to say two years ago, I did
call it on the air. I said, this is going
to happen, this is going to.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Be the path. That's the guy. I mean, no offense,
but I mean everybody was kind of saying that. I
think they're going to get married.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
Billion people said it.
Speaker 12 (27:26):
I did call it on the air. I said, this
is going to happen, this is going to be the path.
Very so glad they got there.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
I didn't call it, but I watched more.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
There you go. So they're engaged, they're gonna get married,
they're gonna be living, probably in Ohio, I guess.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
But how soon you think they're gonna have kids?
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Oh no, that's a good I wonder who should ask
that anchor he called it, he called the landing.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
He's the suits there, he's the forecaster. Uh, when are
they gonna have kids? He'd probably do it pretty quickly.
And if I were him, i'd retire from football. You
want to be around to raise those kids. Do you
want any brain damage?
Speaker 3 (28:01):
For sure?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
And I would I would retire. There's no money problem
in that family, right, I don't think. I think she's
loaded and he's got money, and so I.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Mean there is a degree of I don't know. I'm
sure he enjoys the competition. You're with the good team.
There's a degree of agulation that you're getting constantly.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
He's getting older.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
I agree. I think the smart thing would be to
dance out of it. But I'm just you know, I'm
sure that there are other things that are drawing him in.
I guess what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I would have got engaged and then next day retired,
and and and do it while while you're counting money,
you know, hundreds.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I love the game.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Luckiest man on the face of the airth.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Was question quiet, I'm counted today.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
I'm retiring from football. I should be sad, but I ain't.
I rely on KF. It's Conway Thompson CAF. I AM
six forty is Commedy, So Mark Thompson's here. There's a
rumor going around that Kelsey and Taylor, Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelcey have purchased a house in outside of Sugar
(29:08):
and Falls, Ohio. I don't want to give the.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Address because I don't know.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Maybe they didn't buy it, but I've heard from two
people that they did. It's seventeen point nine million dollars,
six bedroom, thirteen bath, twenty thousand, six hundred and eighty
six square feet. It's like, what's the whole town? Yeah,
well this is outside of town. This is on sixty
one acres outside of town. Look at a hotel looks
(29:34):
at a hotel. Yeah, it looks like a beautiful hotel
up you'd see up in the mountains, you know, like
a like a big lodge, sixty one acres. There's the
bedroom where they'll be, you know, trying to get the
kids rolling. They got a huge family room, vaulted ceilings,
two refrigerators in the kitchen, and then a guest house.
(29:58):
There's another refrigerator twenty thousand square feet, magnificent beautiful stove
where somebody will be cooking for them, and then an
outdoor gathering area. I've not seen a pool yet. They'll
probably put a pool in. I've not seen a pool.
I mean, imagine spending eighteen million dollars for a house
in Ohio and like, oh, it doesn't go to the pool.
(30:20):
So that's a drop in the bucket for them.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Yeah, they're not. I'm sure. It's just one of the
places they'll have.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
And I wouldn't be surprised if all these photos were
eventually taken down off the internet so idiots like me.
There's a big weight room, big workout room, big wine cellar,
a it's a there's a big sauna, huge beautiful custom
made sauna. And then I kind of like a greenhouse.
You can grow weed in the back. Oh yeah, I
(30:48):
wonder if he smokes weed one hundred.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Percent, Yeah, but he does. I'm with all that pain
he's got, all that shakes pains you're gonna need.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Yes, it's the pain, that's the reason.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Well, I mean it's just saying it's it's a good
opening of the door.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
And there's it looks like a full bar inside with
the pool table.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
There's full, the game room, as you said, the gym.
Everything's just there's plenty of room. There's a there's a sauna.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
The garage is fourteen car garage.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
There's a projection room or whatever you want to call it.
I guess that's a you know, a movie movie theater. Yeah,
that is just gorgeous. And it's amazing that the house
is as big as it is. I mean it looks big.
It is big. It's twenty thousand, as you say, north
to twenty thousand square feet. It's only and I feel
weird saying this, but because of the size, it's only
(31:35):
six bedrooms.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
I mean, you'd think there'd be more bedrooms in that. Oh,
there is a pool. There's a pool, a jacuzzi and
a lake. It's got a lake to lake. So that's
that's quite a house. And I know exactly where that is.
I used to drive by that. I'm the way to
my grandparents' house right by that house, and it's it's
way off the beaten path. I think the driveway's got
(31:57):
to be a quarter like three quarters of a mile long,
So there's no way that fans are going to get
close to the house. And there's going to be security.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
I was just about to say the same thing everywhere.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yeah, you know, and that's the downfall of being, you know,
as popular as she is and he is, that you're
surrounded by nothing but security, you know, all the time.
Let's get more information. Everyone wants to know what's going
on with this with these two. They are getting.
Speaker 14 (32:22):
Marriaking News continued coverage of a story we have been
covering over the last few hours. Now just about the
last hour, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey are engaged. The
Grammy winning mega pop star and the Kansas City chiefs
all Pro tight End announced the news on Instagram a
short bit of go sharing these images. You see Travis
Kelcey there down on one knee The post from Taylor reads,
(32:42):
your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,
accompanied by Swift's so high School playing in the background,
the song she wrote for Travis Kelce.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
I am told you know, I think this is her
high school prom and her high school love, you know,
because she is fairly matured, you know, and probably working
a lot when she was a kid, never probably went
to prom, and could have a decent high school and
junior high and so I think that that you know.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Her, this is her high school years.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
That's really interesting because that makes total sense. And it
didn't even occur to me that she hit so early
that in a way she was traveling a lot of Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
She was cheat out of a lot of that, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 14 (33:25):
This comes less than two years after the two went
public with their relationship and in October. They went public
in October twenty twenty three, and then just weeks after
the singer made an Internet breaking appearance on the Kelsey
Brothers podcast New Heights. The NFL is now among the
first to celebrate, writing congratulations to Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift.
For more, we want to bring in contributor and radio

is already I mean, just ricochet across the internet. I

Speaker 3 (34:01):
In breakday news coverage.
Speaker 14 (34:02):
She brings me sheets of paper that with the news
on them.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
These are the.
Speaker 14 (34:06):
Number of sheets of paper she has brought me. Paddington
Bear has weighed in. He said he has a hat
for the wedding. The city of Cleveland has tweeted about it.
They said local man and new fiance stun and engagement picks.
Then there's headlines and headlines. Just as a comparison. Bring
the camera back to me, just as a comparison. This
is what she prepared, just one sheet of paper.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
I can't take that. Who is that guy? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
